Saludos miembros de esta comunidad, hoy les comparto la reseña de la película Búsqueda implacable protagonizada por Liam Neeson, es uno de los actores que más me gustan en películas de acción. Se estrenó en el año 2008, la vi por primera vez en mi adolescencia, tiene una adrenalina que te deja concentrado esperando que pase lo que imaginas.

Greetings to the members of this community. Today, I’m sharing a review of the movie Taken, starring Liam Neeson—one of my favorite action movie actors. It was released in 2008, and I first watched it during my teenage years; it delivers an adrenaline rush that keeps you completely focused, waiting for the events you’re anticipating to unfold.

Bryan es un ex agente, que realizaba trabajos de seguridad privada a una cantante, la película comienza cuando quieren secuestrar a esta cantante y el la mantiene a salvo. Así que ya tiene una amplia experiencia en trabajos de investigación por lo que mantener a las personas a salvo es su objetivo.

Bryan is a former agent who worked in private security for a singer; the film begins when there is an attempt to kidnap her, and he succeeds in keeping her safe. He possesses extensive experience in investigative work, making the safety of others his primary objective.

Cuando Kim cumple 17 años el acude a su fiesta a entregar un regalo pero su madre es algo egoísta en que su hija compartiera momentos con él o así lo pude ver yo, no me gustó la actitud de la madre de Kim al principio. Como toda jóven hace planes con sus amigas, en esa oportunidad pide permiso a Bryan para ir de vacaciones a París, el le niega el permiso ya que debe pensarlo.

When Kim turns 17, he goes to her party to deliver a gift, but her mother is somewhat selfish about her daughter sharing moments with him—or at least that is how I saw it; I didn't like Kim's mother's attitude at first. Like any young woman, Kim makes plans with her friends; on this occasion, she asks Bryan for permission to go on vacation to Paris, but he refuses, saying he needs to think about it.

En esa conversación entre Bryan y Lenny ella le reclama sobre hechos pasados como su separación debido a la carga de trabajo que tenía Bryan y además que casi nunca estaba presente en su familia, por lo que lo presiona para que le el permiso. El día que la lleva al aeropuerto se da cuenta que Kim miente y no irían de vacaciones a París a ver museos, irían a una gira de concierto de Rock por lo que el se enfurece y le reclama a Lenny advirtiendo sobre el peligro que podría generar ya que solo tiene 17 años. A Lenny le parece que la actitud de Bryan es paranoica y exagerada.

During a conversation between Bryan and Lenny, she confronts him about past issues—such as their separation caused by his heavy workload and his frequent absence from family life—and pressures him to grant his permission. On the day he drives her to the airport, he realizes Kim has lied; instead of a vacation to Paris to visit museums, she is actually going on a rock concert tour. Furious, he confronts Lenny, warning him of the potential danger involved given that she is only seventeen. Lenny, however, views Bryan’s attitude as paranoid and exaggerated.

Cuando Kim y su amiga Amanda llegan a París conversan con un desconocido que incluso las invita una fiesta, le dan su número de habitación pero no ven nada irregular ya que son solo jóvenes, cuando Bryan se comunica por teléfono con Kim comienzan a conversar normal, luego ella ve por la ventana que unos desconocidos entran y se llevan Amanda, se pone nerviosa, le cuenta a su padre, él le indica que se esconda debajo de la cama siguiendo sus instrucciones, pero lamentablemente la encuentran aquellos desconocidos.

When Kim and her friend Amanda arrive in Paris, they strike up a conversation with a stranger who even invites them to a party; they give him their room number, seeing nothing amiss since they are just young girls. Later, while Kim is talking on the phone with her father, Bryan, she looks out the window and sees strangers entering the room and taking Amanda away. She becomes panicked and tells her father; he instructs her to hide under the bed, but tragically, the strangers find her.

En el momento del secuestro Bryan puede escuchar la voz de su raptor y además ella le indica algunas características físicas que más adelante lo ayudarán a encontrarlos, descubre que en el lugar opera la trata de personas y que su forma de actuar es raptando jóvenes viajeras, a través de la llamada el raptor le indica que tiene 96 horas para encontrar a Kim. Por lo que decide ir inmediatamente a París y comenzar a investigar.

During the abduction, Bryan hears his captor's voice and notes physical details that will later help him track them down; he discovers that a human trafficking ring operates there, targeting young female travelers, and the kidnapper informs him via the call that he has 96 hours to find Kim. Consequently, he decides to head to Paris immediately and begin his investigation.

La película tiene varias escenas de pelea, agresiones físicas hacia los sospechosos, todo muy bien planeado de forma estratégica, al mismo tiempo descubre que uno de sus amigos también está involucrado siendo así una decepción, al no encontrar a Kim se siente frustrado, triste, pero hace lo imposible por encontrarla incluso entrando a lugares muy peligrosos.

The film features several fight scenes and instances of physical aggression toward suspects—all strategically planned—while also revealing the disappointing fact that one of the protagonist's friends is involved. Unable to locate Kim, he feels frustrated and saddened, yet he does the impossible to find her, even venturing into highly dangerous places.

Cuando encuentra Kim siente calma, la lleva al aeropuerto para el reencuentro con su madre, realmente me parece que parte de la culpa es de Lenny ya que fué demasiado permisiva ignorando los peligros del mundo, sin sumarle que era menor de edad. Me gustó mucho ya que el protagonista tiene una fuerza física y mental para enfrentar a su oponente, el entrenamiento que tiene lo ayudó a sobre pasar barreras demasiado peligrosas. When he finds Kim, she is calm, and he takes her to the airport to reunite with her mother; I really feel that part of the blame lies with Lenny, as she was far too permissive and ignored the dangers of the world—not to mention that Kim was a minor. I really liked it because the protagonist possesses the physical and mental strength to confront his opponent; his training helped him overcome extremely dangerous obstacles. Thanks for reading.
