Hello dear Hive community, today I want to come talk to you about a movie that I watched with my cousin recently to pass the time, one that like many teen movies does not need my attention is just to pass the time or at best laugh at the characters or situations, I'm talking about "A Mi Altura" a Netflix movie.

This one caught my attention because of the fact that the main actress (Ava Michelle) participated in Dance Moms and if she stands out since she was little because of her height, I wanted to see how she was as an actress and also to see the participation of Sabrina Carpenter in a smaller role, in this movie we can also see other actors like Luke Eisner (Stig Mohlin) and Griffin Gluck as Jack Dumckleman. The story is about a super tall girl, of an uncommon standard where she lives, one day a super handsome boy arrives on exchange and most importantly...taller than her, well that's where the story begins.

I'm very honest, it was very neutral for me. I consider it a bit (too predictable) and it was good to talk to my cousin at the time about our complexes and well, learn from them and how it prevents us from various things I guess that was the message I wanted to give, right? I mean I guess because they never really get to show how to take advantage of our complexes or the ones we particularly don't like, an example she has big hands and plays the piano, only once they wanted to relate this in a direct way and over there in a very x way at the end although it won't give spoilers. The characters didn't please me, the bad girl of the story is so hollow I didn't like her and in a way they could have made a movie without her if they wanted to, Jodi's sister is really a secondary character she never really brings something good to her sister only in some occasions, the new guy I won't say much but just to fit in or try to fit in society and not be rejected I screwed up a lot, Jack has no dignity although I don't know if it's a lot of love and Jodi has so many problems with her height that I saw her as a complex and real person since she gives many signs that are usually looked for when one wants to get rid of a defect because it happened to me.

Something that the film gave me to understand is that we judge what we do not see as normal even if elsewhere if it is, she in another part of the world was a girl with the level of average height although where video is a giantess I do not know if I explained? Many times it is the society and our environment that screws our self-esteem and as we feel like a worn out joke of the movie is when they ask "how is the weather up there" is it necessary? Even receiving aggressions from your family is very strong and she did it in a subtle way, I think this movie shows certain aspects of bullying, self-esteem problems and how we begin to love ourselves as we are, but in a poorly elaborated way, I do not recommend it if you expect a lot but if you want to see a movie to pass the time it can be useful but it is not something extraordinary the truth although I can say that I was satisfied with the ending, something that sometimes I do not like with this kind of movie. Thanks for reading.

Hello friends, hope our day is going well. So am going to be giving a review of the Netflix movie TALL GIRL. It is a heart warming romantic comedy movie with a sweet ending. Directed by Nzingha Stewart, it starred Ava Michelle, Griffin Gluck, Sabrina Carpenter, Paris Betel, Luke Eisner and others. The movie revolves around Jodi, a high school student who was already 6'1ft tall at age 16. As a "Tall Girl ", she was teased about her height since elementary school, due to this her self esteem was kept under the box. Even though she had some one crushing on her she still had that mindset that she was to tall for him not wanting to give him a chance. Not until a tall, handsome Swedish exchange student came to their school. Jodi who did her best not to be seen, hiding in sweatshirt and other men wears making her look like "a very large little boy" according to her older sister suddenly wanted to be noticed by the new guy Stig.

Tall Girl is a simple and straightforward movie focusing on the experiences of teens in high school, unrequited love, bullying, self esteem troubles and being perfect. Showing the life of Jodi as the Tall Girl, what she goes through as a student to finding love and also accepting herself the way she is. There's also Jack Dunkleman who has always had a crush on Jodi but always on the sideline because Jodi feels she is too tall for him. Also, Jodi's older sister Harper Kreyman who has had a perfect life and prefers staying that way, winning different beauty pageant and aiming to do better to win more crowns. Another character is Stig, the tall, handsome new exchange student from Sweden who Jodi is in love with. His life in the new school seemed to be a perfect one, being popular, dating the most popular girl in school and all but in his other school he is more like a "dork", like the most uncool guy in the school.

In my opinion, i think Jodi's height was exaggerated because if there was to be a basketball team in the school then her height would not be an issue, also in other to make a point about her height i could say that majority of cast were like scouted for their height because the other cast were no more than 5ft tall. Although laying emphasis on the height, they were only trying to pass a message of self awareness and self confidence, "acceptance of one self". The movie showed the uniqueness of being different and loving yourself. There was a time i overheard someone telling the other person that she is fat, the response of this other person was however mind-blowing. Her response was "yea i know but am more beautiful than you are", you can see there that she has been able to build her self confidence to a level of "i don't care what you think about my body, i love me this way" it is more like keep your opinion to yourself.

The ending of the movie was satisfying and beautiful, being able to end up with the one who trust and shows confidence in her plus Jack gets to use is milk crate after all....lol. A simple and sweet movie that you can watch with your family especially if you have teens in your home, you never can tell what they are struggling with plus the movie also brightens up the mood.

So guys thank you for reading and have a great day...
