   Hello dear Hive community, I hope you are well. Today I want to come and talk to you about the Grinch from Illumination Studios which I had not seen but on Christmas Eve I wanted to see it because I have always seen the 2000 Live Action and I wanted a change of scenery.

   Hola querida comunidad de Hive, espero se encuentren bien. El día de hoy quiero venir hablarles sobre el Grinch de Ilumination Studios el cual no habia visto pero que en víspera de navidad tenía ganas deber ya que siempre he visto el Live Action del 2000 y quería cambiar de aires.

   Well it is important to know that the Grinch is not a film creation but an adaptation of a Christmas story called How the Grinch Stole Christmas! By Dr.Seuss and this was released in theaters in mid-2018, it is important to say that I do not intend to compare the movies of our Christmas curmudgeon so I will try not to mention the movie played by Jim Carrey.

   Bueno es importante saber que el Grinch no es una creación cinematográfica si no una adaptación de un cuento de navidad llamad ¡Como el Grinch se robó la navidad! Del Dr.Seuss y esta fue estrenada en cines a mediados del 2018, es importante decir que no pretendo comparar las películas de nuestro cascarrabias de la navidad asi que intentare no mencionar la película interpretada por Jim Carrey.

   Any self-respecting person at some point in his life has heard about the Grinch or seen him, so I guess it is not necessary to explain that the story is about a man who lives in a town called Villa-who where Christmas is celebrated in a big way and the problem is that he does not love people and of course not Christmas to such an extent that he plans to steal it without counting that on his way he meets a girl named Cindy Lou Quien.

   Persona que se respete en algún punto de su vida ha escuchado sobre el Grinch o lo ha visto, por eso supongo que esta demás explicar que la historia trata de un señor el cual viven en un pueblo llamado Villa-quien donde la navidad se celebra a lo grande y el problema radica que él no quiere a las personas y por supuesto tampoco a la navidad a tal punto que planea robársela sin contar que en su camino se encuentra con una niña llamada Cindy Lou Quien.

   As such I can say that I really enjoyed its lively and colorful animation, Villa Quien in this movie is that kind of magical town that anyone who likes Christmas at some point in their lives would like to go to, no doubt that warmth on screen makes you feel emotions related to the eve of Christmas Eve and your desire to celebrate, on the other hand when we are introduced to the Grinch I felt like that kind of short film you see in Disney but which ended up becoming a very nice character.

   Como tal puedo decir que disfrute mucho su animación tan pintoresca y viva, Villa Quien en esta película es ese tipo de pueblito mágico que a cualquier persona que le guste la navidad en algún momento de su vida quisiera ir sin duda esa calidez en pantalla te hace sentir emociones relacionada con las vísperas de noche buena y tu ganas de celebración, por otro lado cuando nos presentan al Grinch lo sentí como ese tipo de cortometraje que ves en Disney pero el cual se terminó convirtiendo en un personaje bastante agradable.

   On the other hand this Grinch feels more like a lonely person to someone who shrunk his heart, we can see nobility of him throughout the film and that is someone who really has a sad past but do not get to show much, sincerely this Grinch is not so hard but it was entertaining to watch and laugh a little with their adventures, on the other hand Cindy Lou is a very good girl who cares a lot for her mother but does not have great prominence on the screen.

   Por otro lado este Grinch lo sentir más como una persona solitaria a como a alguien que se le encogió el corazón, podemos ver noblezas de él a lo largo de la película y que es alguien que realmente tiene un pasado triste pero no llegan a mostrar mucho, sinceramente este Grinch no es tan duro pero no quita que fue entretenido verlo y reír un poco con sus aventuras, por otro lado Cindy Lou es una niña muy buena la cual se preocupa mucho por su madre pero no tiene gran protagonismo en la pantalla.

   This animated adaptation has its pros and cons, one of its cons is that some parts are more filling than others, also a scene like the robbery that is the most iconic of this story happens very fast, but I forgive it all because Max that little dog is the true protagonist of this film and I loved to laugh watching it, the Grinch I would give a score of 6.5/10 and well I still prefer the 2000.

   Esta adaptación animada tiene sus pro y sus contra uno de sus contras es que unas partes son más relleno que otro por su lado también una escena como el robo que es lo más icónico de esta historia pasa muy rápido, pero todo se lo perdono por Max ese perrito es el verdadero protagonista de esta película y me encanto poder reír viéndolo, el Grinch le daría una puntación de 6.5/10 y bueno sigo prefiriendo a la del 2000.

   Creo que todos conocemos la película del Grinch del 2000, protagonizada por Jim Carrey el cual hace una actuación perfecta, con un espectácular maquillaje que a la fecha todavía nos sorprende, como toda película clásica para estas épocas varios años después sacaron su Remake, pero esta vez en caricatura, la cual llegó a la pantalla grande, pero era necesaria? Es decir, hacer un Remake siempre es un trabajo de el doble de preocupante ya que llegar al nivel en el que tenemos la película original es muy difícil, así que si no la han visto, les cuento un poco y si vale la pena o no.

   Como fan de esta película, ya que esta en mi top número 5 de películas navideñas, me emocioné mucho por este remake así que la vi nada más salió.

   En esta película vemos a Villa Quien este pueblito que ama la navidad y lo celebran como nadie, y un poco lejos vemos al Grinch, quien vive en una cuenta y odia la navidad con todo su ser, este no vive solo, ya que tiene a su mascota de compañía quien parece más su sirviente que su mascota o amigo.

   El Grinch en la época navideña evita a toda costa salir de su casa, ya que todo lo que tenga que ver con la navidad le desespera, pero le toca obligatoriamente bajar al pueblo para buscar sus alimentos y provisiones, ya que se acabó todo lo que tenían para esa época por estas triste y calmar su tristeza con la comida.

   

   Victor Sancho Luego conocemos a Dona, una madre soltera que trabajar fuertes turnos para poder mantener a sus hijos, esta tiene tres hijos, una de ellas es Cindy una niña que ama la navidad y da todo porque su mamá disfrute de estas fechas con ella y pueda descansar, así que hace todo lo posible por enviarle su carta a Santa.

   En esta película nadie le tiene miedo al Grinch, al contrario, todos lo ven normal aunque este le haga maldades a algunos niños, si quiere acabar con la navidad pero de una manera un poco más inocente si se puede decir así, esto es porque en dicho Remake el odio del Grinch hacia la navidad es por su soledad, desde pequeño fue olvidado en el orfanato y nunca pudo crecer celebrando dichas fechas, por lo que la unión y la alegria de esos días el no lo ha vivido nunca, a diferencia de la película del 2000 que su odio es por las burlas que vivió, lo que ocasionó que se alejara de la sociedad y todos le empezaran a temer.

   Esta película es linda para mostrarles a los niños y que conocieran un poco de la película que tanto amamos, pero la verdad para mi se volvió una película batánate olvidable, desde que la vi, no me había tomado la molestia de verla porque prefería mil veces ver la película del 2000, su trama me gusta más, siento que tiene un poco más de sentido, considero que ambas van dirigidas a un público infantil pero esta solo sería disfrutable para los más chiquitos, solo por lo colorida que es, pero de resto no le veo nada rescatable, tenía esperanzas que porque su doblaje lo hacía Eugenio Derbez fuera más divertida y memorable, pero para mi fue un Remake que fracasó una vez más.

   This movie is nice to show to children so that they know a little about the movie that we love so much, but the truth is that for me it became a forgettable film, since I saw it, I had not bothered to watch it because I preferred it a thousand times watch the 2000 film, I like its plot better, I feel that it makes a little more sense, I consider that both are aimed at a children's audience but this one would only be enjoyable for the little ones, just because of how colorful it is, but otherwise I don't see anything redeemable about it, I had hopes that because its dubbing was done by Eugenio Derbez it would be more fun and memorable, but for me it was a Remake that failed once again.

   Es esa época del año donde todo es verde, rojo y está cubierto de luces. Hay muchas películas de navidad que me encantaba ver de pequeña, pero creo que mi favorita de todas era (sigue siendo) El Grinch.

   No tengo idea de cuántas veces he visto esta película, demasiadas. Pero creo que aún así la historia inspirada en los cuentos de Dr. Seuss logra alegrarme con su bonita simpleza y ese espíritu navideño

   It's that time of year where everything is green, red and covered in lights. There are many Christmas movies that I loved to watch as a child, but I think my favorite of all was (and still is) The Grinch.

   I have no clue about how many times I've seen this movie, surely way too many. But I think that even still the story inspired by the tales of Dr. Seuss manages to cheer me up with its beautiful simplicity and that Christmas spirit

   Esta es una historia infantil creada en 1957 por Dr. Seuss, la cual estaba llena de rimas que hacían el cuento algo memorable pues las rimas son divertidas. Para esta adaptación del cine en el año 2000 el cambio está en que ampliaron un poco más la historia para que la trama fuera lo suficientemente larga para que fuera película. Eso es un cambio considerable pero bastante positivo puesto que no alteraron para nada la esencia del cuento sino que simplemente lo ampliaron, dieron un poco más de información que en realidad te permite comprender mejor a los personajes y sus motivaciones.

   This is a children's story created in 1957 by Dr. Seuss which was full of rhymes that made the tale memorable because rhymes are fun. For this film adaptation in the 2000, the change was in the fact that they expanded the story a little more so that the plot was long enough to be a film.    El conocer mejor a los personajes te permite también simpatizar más con ellos, conoces mejor su historia y te lleva a quererlos más. El Grinch no es tan malo así como los Quién no son tan buenos. El mensaje es que se debe ser tolerante y pensar en ponerte un poco en los zapatos de alguien más antes de juzgar. La película enseña valores importantes que considerando que es una película infantil me parece un mensaje bonito y necesario para los niños.

   No es simplemente una película para entretener, también tiene un mensaje valioso.

   Getting to know the characters better also allows you to sympathize with them more, you know their story better and that leads you to love them more. The Grinch isn't that bad after all just as the Who aren't that good. The message is that you should be tolerant and think about putting yourself in someone else's shoes before judging.    Por otro lado creo que todo el reparto de actores es maravilloso, desde la más joven de ellos hasta el mayor de todos hizo un trabajo excelente representando a cada personaje. Todos están llenos de talento. Pero por supuesto, el destacado es la leyenda Jim Carrey.    Hola hive, hoy les quiero hablar sobre una película que he visto desde que soy muy niño y cada año mínimo le tengo que echar una vista en navidad porque para nadie es un secreto que esta película es un clásico, por eso hoy les quiero hablar de How The Grinch Stole Christmas

   How The Grinch Stole Christmas o simplemente The Grinch es una película navideña lanzada en el 2000, basada en el cuento homónimo del Dr Seuss, esta película esta dirigida por Ron Howard y protagonizada por el carismático Jim Carrey. Dicho esto comencemos!

   Para empezar debo decir que tengo como tradición ver esta película los días después de navidad, es decir, esos días en los que no nos queremos levantar de la cama, bueno es ahí donde más disfruto ver esta película, porque encaja perfectamente con el mood del momento.

   Primero me gusta empezar hablando de lo que yo considero que son puntos positivos: la trama de esta película es muy divertida y aunque esté merito se lo lleva Dr Seuss también es una realidad que supieron adaptar bien este cuento, siento que es bastante fiel al cuento original y los cambios que se hicieron eran necesarios para que la película durara un poco más, pero no me quejo de esto, ya que este nos dejo escenas del pasado del Grinch que nos explican su origen, o también profundizan más en el personaje de Cindy y su relación con el grinch (pero de esto hablaremos más adelante)

   La actuación de Jim Carrey es impecable y siento que el es el encargado de que en ningún momento la película se haga aburrida, ya que aunque hay escenas que se pueden considerar de relleno, este actor nos saca una risa y hace que la película tenga un ritmo más dinámica, además de que le dio una vibra peculiar a este personaje (que me encanta)

   Otro aspecto que me encanta de esta película es su estética, considero que esta película a envejecido bastante bien estéticamente hablando, todavía me sorprende lo increíble que es el maquillaje del personaje del Grinch, de verdad que esto tiene que ser un punto positivo, y aunque los personajes de Whoville tiene un diseño que puede ser un poco raro tampoco me disgusta, así que considero que todavía se ve bastante bien y más considerando que es una película que se lanzó hace más de 20 años.

   Ahora algo que le suma mucho a esta versión de The Grinch es el personaje de Cindy y la relación que tienen ambos, a su vez haciéndonos empatizar con los dos personajes y haciendo que el final sea más emotivo, además de que el arco del personaje del grinch tiene sentido y se siente orgánico, esa representación del “bien” y el “mal” en estos dos personajes e increíble logrando transformar al grinch en un mejor personaje.

   Esta película es cargada de un humor bastante simple pero que logra su objetivo que es hacer reír, además de que esta película tiene la característica de que cualquier persona la puede disfrutar, hay humor para adultos como también hay humor para los niños, y esto me gusta porque siento que saben manejar esta dinámica.

   En términos generales esta película es bastante entretenida, especialmente para verla en los dias post navidad, es simplemente un clásico, y aunque tiene algunos añadidos siento que respeta bastante el cuento original. En conclusion de las mejores películas navideñas que pasarán los años y aún así la revisitaremos una y otra vez.

   Hi hive, today I want to talk about a movie that I have seen since I was a kid and every year at least I have to take a look at Christmas because it is no secret that this movie is a classic, so today I want to talk about How The Grinch Stole Christmas.

   How The Grinch Stole Christmas or simply The Grinch is a Christmas movie released in 2000, based on the eponymous story by Dr Seuss, this movie is directed by Ron Howard and starring the charismatic Jim Carrey. So let's get started!

   To start I must say that I have as a tradition to watch this movie the days after Christmas, that is, those days when we don't want to get out of bed, well that's when I enjoy watching this movie the most, because it fits perfectly with the mood of the moment.

   First I like to start talking about what I consider to be positive points: the plot of this movie is very funny and although this merit goes to Dr Seuss it is also a reality that they knew how to adapt this story well, I feel it is quite faithful to the original story and the changes that were made were necessary for the movie to last a little longer, but I am not complaining about this, since it left us scenes of the Grinch's past that explain his origin, or also delve deeper into the character of Cindy and her relationship with the grinch (but we will talk about this later).

   Jim Carrey's performance is impeccable and I feel that he is the one in charge of making the movie not boring at any time, because although there are scenes that can be considered filler, this actor makes us laugh and makes the movie have a more dynamic rhythm, plus he gave a peculiar vibe to this character (which I love).

   Another aspect that I love about this movie is its aesthetics, I consider that this movie has aged quite well aesthetically speaking, I am still amazed at how amazing the makeup of the Grinch character is, really this has to be a plus point, and even though the Whoville characters has a design that can be a little weird I don't dislike it either, so I consider that it still looks pretty good and more considering that it is a movie that was released more than 20 years ago.

   Now something that adds a lot to this version of The Grinch is the character of Cindy and the relationship they both have, in turn making us empathize with the two characters and making the ending more emotional, plus the grinch's character arc makes sense and feels organic, that representation of "good" and "evil" in these two characters and incredible managing to transform the grinch into a better character.

   This movie is loaded with a fairly simple humor but it achieves its goal which is to make you laugh, plus this movie has the characteristic that anyone can enjoy it, there is humor for adults as well as humor for children, and I like this because I feel that they know how to handle this dynamic.

   In general terms this movie is quite entertaining, especially to watch it in the days after Christmas, it is simply a classic, and although it has some additions I feel it respects the original story. In conclusion of the best Christmas movies that will pass the years and we will still revisit it again and again.

   Buenas muchachones y muchachonas de hive que estoy seguro han disfrutado de unas geniales fiestas junto a familiares y amigos, en mi caso súper feliz de todo lo sucedido este año y a contarles sobre esa película, una de las que mas me gusta con tópico de navidad y es el Malvado Grinch que se robo la Navidad la cual es una película con un muy bonito mensaje tanto para niños, como adultos que en estas fechas nos reunimos para reflexionar sobre lo que hemos hecho en el año y simplemente dejar que lo bueno de nosotros salga para estar en regocijo con aquellos que amamos y comer en cantidades industriales.

   Protagonizada por Jim Carrey que como siempre, hace una labor con el alma, de verdad no se como lo hace, recuerdo cuando vi esta película en bachillerato y recordé la comiquita que vi de niño. Empecemos por la atmósfera del film ya que el director, actores, vestuario etc logran crear un entorno navideño con el dominio de un color Verde y Rojo que aplastan totalmente al espectador envolviéndolo así en un fantástico escenario navideño con canciones y unas criaturas llamadas WHO que viven para la Navidad.

   Esta es la premisa Sin Spoilers, la película ya tiene mas de una década pero puedo decirles a aquellos que no la han visto que disfrutaran de un muy buen humor que no cae pesado ni excesivo, es una balanza perfecta ya que el personaje protagonista no es uno muy agradable, de eso se trata la película pero logra mezclar esto con las cosas cursis de la navidad para así generar escenas muy entretenidas entre los asqueroso y lo tierno.

   Good boys and girls of hive that I am sure have enjoyed a great holiday season with family and friends, in my case super happy about everything that happened this year and tell you about that movie, one of the ones I like most with Christmas topic and is the Evil Grinch who stole Christmas which is a movie with a very nice message for both children, It is a movie with a very nice message for both children and adults that at this time of the year we get together to reflect on what we have done during the year and simply let the good in us come out to rejoice with those we love and eat in industrial quantities.

   Starring Jim Carrey who, as always, does a soulful job, I really don't know how he does it, I remember when I saw this movie in high school and I remembered the cartoon I saw as a kid. Let's start with the atmosphere of the film as the director, actors, costumes etc. manage to create a Christmas environment with the dominance of a Green and Red color that totally crushes the viewer and wrapping it in a fantastic Christmas scene with songs and creatures called WHO who live for Christmas.

   This is the premise No Spoilers, the movie is more than a decade old but I can tell those who have not seen it that they will enjoy a very good humor that does not fall heavy or excessive, it is a perfect balance since the main character is not a very nice one, that's what the movie is about but manages to mix this with the cheesy things of Christmas to generate very entertaining scenes between the disgusting and the tender.

   Ahora sí hablemos de la parte que mas me agrada de las reseñas y es la zona con spoilers para detallar esos momentos que mas me agradaron. Lo mejor de la película para mi es totalmente su protagonista el cual logra entablar lazos de amistad y enemistad muy bien balanceados con el resto de personajes, por ejemplo con el Alcalde del pueblo Who hay una rivalidad enorme que se explota muy bien, de hecho el Alcalde y su ayudante me recuerdan mucho al señor Berns y a Smithers en lo que son las bases de los personajes, su enemistad con el Grinch es evidente debido a que de pequeños luchaban por el amor de una mujer quien que en la película esta muy bien interpretada y se ve que se babea por el Grinch de la Navidad.

   El Grinch logra brillar aun mas en el firmamento es con aquellos personajes que tiene amistad, estas son las partes que mas disfruto porque tenemos a Cindy Lou Who y al perrito MAX que de verdad son una pasada en el film ayudando totalmente a llevar las escenas cómicas a otro nivel y es mucho que decir porque Jim Carrey puede hacerlo solo y lo demuestra en varias escenas de la película pero es la forma tierna antipática con la que trata a la niña, ese amor con el que trata al perrito son las cosas que mas disfruto y no me canso de ver cada que puedo ver la película una y otra vez.

   Max es una estrella, este perrito hay una escena, la que mas me hace reír, en la que el Grinch se sienta como director de película para ver si contrata al perro como un Reno y así llevar a cabo su malvado plan de robarse la navidad entonces el perrito MAX viene y se quita la nariz roja que le colocaron haciendo que el GRINCH exclame "BRAAAAVOOOO" WAOOOo muchacho esa parte como la disfruto enormemente porque en realidad yo veo al perro enojado de tener que hacer eso en navidad pero es fiel a su amo y le complace en su malvado plan.

   Nada como un buen perrito haciendo un gran actuación, se que los efectos de computadora han mejorado enormemente pero en mi caso disfruto mucho ver esto y pensar todo el trabajo que se tuvo llevar a cabo para realizar la escena además que deben admitir que el perrito en la portada es una ternurita, SI, amo los perritos y verlos haciendo estas cosas ablanda mi corazoncito lleno de grasa totalmente.

   Now let's talk about the part that I like the most of the reviews and it is the area with spoilers to detail those moments that I liked the most. The best of the movie for me is totally its protagonist who manages to establish bonds of friendship and enmity very well balanced with the rest of the characters, for example with the Mayor of the town Who there is a huge rivalry that is exploited very well, In fact the Mayor and his assistant remind me a lot of Mr. Berns and Smithers in what are the bases of the characters, their enmity with the Grinch is evident because as children they fought for the love of a woman who in the film is very well interpreted and it is seen that drools for the Grinch of Christmas.

   The Grinch manages to shine even more in the firmament is with those characters that he has friendship, these are the parts that I enjoy the most because we have Cindy Lou Who and the little dog MAX who really are a blast in the film helping totally to take the comic scenes to another level and it is a lot to say because Jim Carrey can do it alone and he shows it in several scenes of the film but it is the unfriendly tender way with which he treats the little girl, that love with which he treats the little dog are the things I enjoy the most and I can't get enough of watching the movie over and over again.

   Max is a star, this doggy there is one scene, the one that makes me laugh the most, where the Grinch sits down as the movie director to see if he will hire the dog as a Reindeer to carry out his evil plan to steal Christmas then the doggy MAX comes and takes off the red nose they put on him making the GRINCH exclaim "BRAAAAVOOOOOO" WAOOOo boy that part as I enjoy it immensely because I actually see the dog mad at having to do that on Christmas but he is loyal to his master and indulges him in his evil plan.

   Nothing like a good doggie doing a great performance, I know the computer effects have improved enormously but in my case I really enjoy watching this and thinking about all the work that had to be done to make the scene plus you must admit that the doggie on the cover is a sweetheart, YES, I love doggies and seeing them doing these things softens my fat little heart totally.

   Quiero resaltar enormemente la actuación de la niña para aquel entonces Taylor Michel Momsen la cual bajo una gran dirección le dio vida a Cindy Lou Who la cual es el corazón de la película y la hace palpitar, es verdad que el Grinch es el protagonista pero como muy bien vemos en el film, su seco corazón empieza a latir con la felicidad, la esperanza de la navidad gracias a Cindy que nunca pierde la fe en el a pesar de que la gran mayoría en el pueblo Who no le apreciaba, ella nunca perdió su convicción sobre el bien que había en el fondo PERO muy en el fondo jajja de el GRINCH.

   Tienen muchas escenas juntos, cuando ocurre la fiesta en el pueblo y le dan comida a reventar al pobre e inocente Grinch, esto es una pasada y todo gracias a Cindy quien a pesar de la insistencia de sus padres de no relacionarse con el malvado Grinch, ella insiste porque le enseñaron bien, la navidad no es solo regalos, es las personas y es alegría, ella tenía que cumplir con transmitirle esto al Grinch porque eso es lo correcto en Navidad, estar en familia, no estar en soledad.

   Es verdad que me encanta el perro Max pero es Cindy quien permite la película avance y nos deje las bonitas moralejas que quiere transmitir para estas fechas, lo importante son las personas y no los regalos. Una película que recomiendo totalmente, la paso de maravilla cada vez que la veo y aunque su banda sonora no es muy recordable, sus actuaciones para mi si, le doy 8 chiquitos de 10, quien era chiquito, chiquito era mi perrita que se llamaba princesa pero le decíamos chiquito.

   Dedicado todos y cada uno de mis videos y posts a mi Perrita llamada Princesa que le decíamos chiquito que ya no está con nosotros pero desde el cielo ella verá que su existencia SI fue valiosa y lo mas bonito que existirá en mi corazón y en mi alma.

   It is true that I love the dog Max but it is Cindy who allows the film to move forward and leave us the beautiful moral that she wants to convey for these dates, the important thing is the people and not the gifts. A movie that I totally recommend, I have a wonderful time every time I see it and although its soundtrack is not very memorable, its performances for me yes, I give it 8 kids out of 10, who was little, little was my little dog who was called princess but we called him little.

   Creo que soy la única persona en esta tierra que no había visto el clásico más grande de navidad, y bueno aprovechando la temporada y gracias a la publicación de @freidimar18 decidí ver esta película que además esta en netflix y hoy les voy a compartir todas mis impresiones, pero antes tienen que saber que a mi me encantan las películas temáticas de navidad y si tienen reflexiones como de niños mucho más.

   El Grinch se desarrrolla en un lugar llamado Villaquién, donde sus habitantes denominados "quién" son fieles admiradores de la navidad, para ellos es una festividad muy importante; sin embargo, en este pueblo le temen al Grinch, un extraño ser verde que ODIA la navidad y que vive en los más alto de la montaña; este se encontrara con la pequeña Cindy Lou, y después de salvar su vida, ella se propone entender porque el Grinch no ama la navidad e intentará demostrarle el verdadero significado.

   I think I'm the only person on this earth who had not seen the biggest Christmas classic, and well taking advantage of the season and thanks to the publication of @freidimar18 I decided to see this movie that is also on Netflix and today I will share all my impressions, but first you have to know that I love Christmas themed movies and if they have reflections as children much more.

   The Grinch takes place in a place called Villaquién, where its inhabitants called "who" are faithful admirers of Christmas, for them it is a very important holiday; however, in this town they fear the Grinch, a strange green being who HATES Christmas and who lives in the highest of the mountain; this will meet with little Cindy Lou, and after saving his life, she intends to understand why the Grinch does not love Christmas and try to show him the true meaning.

   Algo importante de mencionar porque investigando descibrí que hay dos versiones, es que yo estuve disfrutando la de los años 2000 y me pareció que tiene una excelente historia de navidad, y con esto empezaremos mi opinión; esta película nos muestra todos los aspectos que involucra la navidad: la unión, la familia pero también es una celebridad llena de mercantilismo o de adornos banales que al final no son la verdadera esencia de la navidad pero es lo que muchas personas transmiten.

   También es una historia que si profundizamos nos muestra actitudes comunes en nuestra sociedad como juzgar a una persona por como se ve o simplemente porque actua diferente a lo estandarizado y todo ello lo reflejamos en el Grinch, no es necesariamente malo porque le nace sino porque termina siendo su mecanismo de defensa ante una sociedad que no lo comprende.

   Realmente toda la trama también nos demuestra que un pequeño gesto de amabilidad como el que tuvo Cindy con el Grinch puede cambiar la vida de una persona e incluso mostrarle una perspectiva diferente de lo que conoce, es muy bonito todo e incluso me hizo llorar ese final cuando por fin vemos los pequeños cambios del Grinch y entendemos el verdadero sentido de la navidad, que no son los regalos, ni las luces, es poder abrazar a todos nuestros seres queridos y compartir risas.

   Something important to mention because researching I discovered that there are two versions, is that I was enjoying the 2000's version and I thought it has an excellent Christmas story, and with this we will begin my opinion; this movie shows us all the aspects that Christmas involves: the union, the family but it is also a celebrity full of commercialism or banal decorations that in the end are not the true essence of Christmas but it is what many people transmit.

   It is also a story that if we delve deeper shows us common attitudes in our society such as judging a person by how he looks or simply because he acts different from the standard and all this is reflected in the Grinch, he is not necessarily bad because he is born but because it ends up being his defense mechanism against a society that does not understand him.

   Really the whole plot also shows us that a small gesture of kindness like the one Cindy had with the Grinch can change the life of a person and even show him a different perspective of what he knows, it's all very nice and even made me cry that end when we finally see the small changes of the Grinch and understand the true meaning of Christmas, which is not the gifts, or the lights, is to embrace all our loved ones and share laughter.

   He estado mencionando un poco de los personajes, pero retomando ese tema, sinceramente cada uno aporta algo difererente a la trama, mi favorito tendría que ser el Grinch porque tiene un crecimiento y se desenvuelve de forma magistral en toda la trama; además no puedo negar que le regala momentos iconicos y graciosos a la película, sinceramente es un personaje principal digno de un clásico.

   Por otro lado, el personaje de Cindy te saca sonrisas toda la película, refleja completamente la inocencia y la pureza de observar a las personas digna de algunos niños; es lindo ver cómo no se rinde y coloca todo su empeño en integrar al Grinch en Villaquien. Un personaje que logra ser un villano gracioso es el alcalde Augustus, no puedo negar que es muy gracioso pero que también tiene un lindo desarrollo en la cinta, sé que se puede ver como esos cambios mágicos de las películas para niños pero es una película de navidad así que es válido.

   I have been mentioning a little bit about the characters, but going back to that topic, honestly each one brings something different to the plot, my favorite would have to be the Grinch because he has a growth and develops in a masterful way throughout the plot; besides I can't deny that he gives iconic and funny moments to the movie, honestly he is a main character worthy of a classic.

   On the other hand, Cindy's character makes you smile throughout the film, she completely reflects the innocence and purity of observing people worthy of some children; it is nice to see how she does not give up and puts all her efforts to integrate the Grinch in Villaquien. A character that manages to be a funny villain is Mayor Augustus, I can't deny that he is very funny but he also has a nice development in the film, I know it can be seen as those magical changes in children's movies but it's a Christmas movie so it's valid.

   Me termino encantando la energía de esta película, la volvería a ver en esta etapa del año y después, es como esas películas que a veces son necesarias para volver a ser niña un momento o simplemente para descocnectarnos de nuestro mundo ajetreado, tiene todos los factores que esperas en una película de navidad: un bonito mensaje y reflexivo que nos saque una sonrisa en una epoca bonita como lo es la navidad.

   Si alguna persona como yo no ha visto esta película, tiene que ir corriendo a hacerlo, me gusto mucho y ya va directo a mi lista de clásicos para ver en navidad, no solo tiene un mensaje hermoso sobre navidad sino que te hace reír y sentir muchas emociones que te hacen sentir en la infancia nuevamente y al menos yo aprecio mucho este tipo de películas, me hacen sentir en paz, la recomiendo al 100%.

   I ended up loving the energy of this movie, I would watch it again at this time of the year and after, it is like those movies that sometimes are necessary to become a child again for a moment or just to disconnect us from our busy world, it has all the factors you expect in a Christmas movie: a nice and thoughtful message that makes us smile in a beautiful time like Christmas.

   Esta película está basada en el cuento navideño How The Grinch Stole Christmas, escrito por Dr. Seuss. Como es un cuento para niños, es bastante corto, por lo que para realizar la película agregaron más personajes y algunos los volvieron más elaborados, como también un poco de la infancia de este personaje.

   Esta película es protagonizada por nada más y nada menos que Jim Carrie el rey de las caras chistosas, por lo que al estar personificado como El grinch creó una increíble interpretación.

   This movie is based on the Christmas story How The Grinch Stole Christmas, written by Dr. Seuss. As it is a children's story, it is quite short, so to make the film they added more characters and some made them more elaborate, as well as a bit of this character's childhood.

   This movie stars none other than Jim Carrie the king of funny faces, so being personified as The Grinch he created an incredible performance.

   VillaQuien es el pueblito más feliz y navideños que podrán ver, donde todos comparte y celebran la navidad juntos, pero algo lejos, al final de la colina se encuentra El Grinch es una especie de Duende que odia la felicidad, a las personas y sobre todo a la navidad.

   El Grinch ha vivido solo desde muy pequeño, y nunca ha sido tomado en cuenta por su pueblo, su única compañía ha sido su perro Max y todos le temen y no les interesa tener alguna relación con el, hasta que un día, en la nominación del Jubilo Cindy Lou, una pequeña niña con un corazón gigante, se da cuenta que están dejando de lado lo más importante de la navidad que es la unión, por lo que decide nominar al Grinch para recibir este premio.

   Se dirige a la colina y lo invita, este aparentemente no acepta, pero luego de darse cuenta que no tenía nada importante que hacer, va, y todo aparentemente va de maravilla.

   El Grinch llegó a Villaquien en noche buena cuando apenas era un bebé y fue cuidado por dos mujeres mayores, era algo rebelde, inquieto pero para nada egoísta, era un pequeño tímido, pero todo cambio un día que le empezó a gustar Martha la niña más linda de la escuela y ella aparentemente le correspondía por lo que Agustus (el alcalde) se burló de él por su aspecto.

   El día de nochebuena le hace un regalo a Martha, pero gracias a la inseguridad que le causó Agustus decide afeitarse, pero se corta toda la cara, ocasionado que todos se burlen de él, este se llena de odio y es ahí cuando decide aislarse en la colina.

   Agustus por burla nuevamente decide regalarle una máquina de afeitar, para recordarle este horrible momento, este explota arruinando todo y se va de nuevo a la colina. Lleno de rabia y decepción nuevamente, decide arruinarles la navidad quitándole lo único que les importa, los regalos y las decoraciones. Por lo que idea un plan para hacerse pasar por Santa y robar todo lo navideño que consiga en el camino antes que todos despierten luego de la nochebuena.

   Logra su cometido, la navidad aparentemente está arruinada, en el pueblo culpan a la niña Cindy, porque gracias a ella el Grinch volvió (claro esto lo hace el alcalde), pero su familia la defiende, se dan cuenta que la navidad no es regalos, no es luces ni decoraciones, es pasarla con tus seres amados, por lo que todos comienzan a cantar y a celebrar la navidad.

   On Christmas Eve, he gives Martha a present, but thanks to the insecurity that Agustus caused him, he decides to shave, but he cuts his entire face, causing everyone to make fun of him, he is filled with hatred and that is when he decides stand alone on the hill.

   Agustus out of mockery again decides to give him a razor, to remind him of this horrible moment, it explodes ruining everything and goes back to the hill.    She achieves her goal, Christmas is apparently ruined, in the town they blame the girl Cindy, because thanks to her the Grinch returned (of course the mayor does this), but her family defends her, they realize that Christmas is not gifts It's not lights or decorations, it's spending it with your loved ones, so everyone starts singing and celebrating Christmas.

   El Grinch se extraña al escuchar esto, ya que solo esperaba lamentos, se le ablanda su corazón al darse cuenta el verdadero significado de la navidad, decide ir de nuevo al pueblo a entregarle los obsequios que les pertenecían, junto a Cindy que fue a visitarlo y desearle Feliz Navidad.

   Pide perdón a todos los Quienes, Martha le devuelve el anillo de compromiso al alcalde (ya que era un acosador con ella y solo la quería comprar con dinero) y diciendo que su verdadero amor siempre fue El grinch y celebran junto a todos el banquete de navidad.

   The Grinch is surprised to hear this, since he only expected regrets, his heart softens when he realizes the true meaning of Christmas, he decides to go back to town to deliver the gifts that belonged to them, along with Cindy who went to visit him and wish you Merry Christmas.

   She apologizes to all the Whos, Martha returns the engagement ring to the mayor (since he was a stalker with her and only wanted to buy her with money) and saying that her true love was always The grinch and they celebrate with all the christmas banquet.

   Siempre he amado esta película, la vemos todos los años más de una vez, me llena de risas, alegría y lindos recuerdos, pero con el paso del tiempo odio más a Agustus jajaja porque así como el, es la mayoría de la gente, burlándose y haciendo menos a las personas que ven más débiles, por eso terminan siendo personas llenas de “odio” que en realidad es tristeza e inseguridad.

   La ambientación de la película es espectacular, la caracterización de los Quienes es muy buena, se siente tal cual como un cuento, la actuaciones son increíbles y por su puesto, la mejor elección del Grinch.

   La navidad es una época preciosa, qué tal como nos enseña la película, trata de compartir con las personas que amamos, de hacer actividades que sean tradición para nosotros, cantar, disfrutar y claro, ver películas juntos

   I have always loved this movie, we see it every year more than once, it fills me with laughter, joy and beautiful memories, but as time goes by I hate Agustus hahaha because just like him, he is the majority of people, mocking and making less of the people they see as weaker, that's why they end up being people full of "hate" that is actually sadness and insecurity.

   The setting of the film is spectacular, the characterization of the Who is very good, it feels just like a story, the performances are incredible and of course, the best choice of the Grinch.

   Christmas is a precious time, how the movie teaches us, try to share with the people we love, to do activities that are tradition for us, sing, enjoy and of course, watch movies together

   Welcome dear internet travelers and thanks for making a temporary stop in my post, today I bring you a new vs between movies, however this one is special since it is about an iconic Christmas movie that is neither more nor less than "The Grinch" a Christmas classic that is a must for these dates (It's not Christmas anymore but who the hell cares? jajaja) Today we will compare the version of Jim Carrey from 2000 and the animated version that came out in 2018.    Bienvenidos queridos viajeros del internet y gracias por hacer una parada temporal en mi post, el día de hoy les traigo un nuevo vs entre películas, sin embargo este es especial puesto que es sobre una cinta navideña icónica que es ni más ni menos que "El Grinch" un clásico navideño que es una cita obligatoria para estas fechas (No estamos en navidad ya pero ¿A quién demonios le importa? jajaja) Hoy compararemos la versión de Jim Carrey de 2000 y la versión animada que salió en 2018. Sin más que agregar prepárense para robar la navidad que estamos por empezar.

   Both films are found in Dr. Seuss' 1957 short story "How the Grinch Stole Christmas!", the first live-action film was released in 2000, directed by Ron Howard and produced by Universal Pictures and Imagine Entertainment. For its part, the other version was released in 2018 and is animated, it was directed by Yarrow Cheney and Scott Mosier, produced by Ilumination Entertainment. Both films focus on Villaquién, where the Who who are lovers of Christmas live except one called the Grinch who hates Christmas and has a smaller heart than normal, one day he gets tired of the happiness that this holiday produces and decides to steal it to prevent the Who continue to bother him with his celebration, however, thanks to his misdeeds, he managed to understand the true meaning of Christmas.

   Ambas películas se encuentran en el cuento de Dr. Seuss de 1957 “¡Cómo el Grinch robó la Navidad!”, la primera cinta live-action fue estrenada en el año 2000, dirigida por Ron Howard y producida por Universal Pictures e Imagine Entertaiment. Por su parte la otra versión fue estrenada en 2018 y es animada, fue dirigida por Yarrow Cheney y Scott Mosier, producida por Ilumination Entertainment. Ambas películas se centran en Villaquién, donde viven los Quién que son amantes de la navidad excepto uno llamado el Grinch el cual aborrece la navidad y posee un corazón más pequeño de lo normal, un día este se cansa de la felicidad que les produce esta festividad y decide robársela para evitar que los Quién sigan molestándole con su celebración, sin embargo gracias a sus fechorías lograra entender el verdadero significado de la navidad.

   In both films the protagonist and main focus is the Grinch, however there is a huge difference between their personalities because the 2000 is much more bitter and cruel, on the other hand, the animated version is much more depressive and melancholic. Something that makes the animated adaptation different is that it builds those who as much more interesting beings and with their own problems making them much more captivating characters.

   En ambas cintas el protagonista y principal enfoque es el Grinch, sin embargo existe una enorme diferencia entre sus personalidades debido a que el del 2000 es mucho más amargado y cruel, por otro lado, el de la versión animada es mucho más depresivo y melancólico. Algo que hace diferente a la adaptación animada es que construye a los quien como seres mucho más interesantes y con sus propios problemas haciéndolos personajes mucho más cautivadores.

   The soundtrack in both films is excellent, it is very consistent for the festivity they represent, however it is necessary to add that each one uses songs very much from its time, such is the case of the animated one that incorporates current music. Speaking only of the animated version, it should be noted that it has a fantastic animation quality with very vivid colors and a wonderful fluidity.

   La banda sonora en ambas películas es excelente, es muy acorde para la festividad que representan, sin embargo es necesario añadir que cada una utiliza canciones muy de su época, tal es el caso de la animada que incorpora música actual. Hablando únicamente de la versión animada cabe destacar que tiene una calidad de animación fantástica con colores muy vivos y una fluidez maravillosa.

   

   The construction of the world is different and similar at the same time, they are similar in the sense that both have a character voluntarily isolated from the rest of society, however the big difference lies in how the Grinch is perceived by those who, in the first installment they have great dread even fearing to say his name. In the animated adaptation everything is very different since he is perceived and treated as someone normal and even some directly esteem him. This change of perception of the protagonist makes all the difference since in the case of the 2000 version it gives credibility to the bad temper of the character. Unfortunately the animated version does not raise that fear of the citizens, in fact they treat the protagonist as an equal, what if it does different is try to give some Who greater prominence with problems and so on.

   La construcción de mundo es diferente y similar a la vez, son parecidas en el sentido de que ambas poseen a un personaje aislado voluntariamente del resto de la sociedad, sin embargo la gran diferencia radica en cómo es percibido el Grinch por los quién, en la primera entrega le tienen gran pavor incluso temiendo decir su nombre. En la adaptación animada todo es muy diferente puesto que es percibido y tratado como alguien normal e incluso algunos directamente lo estiman. Este cambió de percepción del protagonista hace toda la diferencia puesto que en el caso de la versión del 2000 da credibilidad al mal genio del personaje. Desgraciadamente la versión animada no plantea ese miedo de los ciudadanos, de hecho estos tratan al protagonista como un igual, lo que si hace diferente es tratar de darle a algunos Quién mayor protagonismo con problemas y demás.

   The plot is directly the same, a marginalized character who tries to ruin Christmas to Whom, what differentiates them is the motivation and execution of their plan, however the main message they convey to viewers is the same. Something that makes the animated version different is the fact of having a subplot about the family life of Cindy Lu, being quite interesting in general, and, in addition, although both present comedy the animated version is much softer and more childish when it comes to telling jokes, on the other hand, the 2000 version has much more interesting and intelligent jokes that seek to attract the attention of different audiences which makes it much more attractive.

   La trama es directamente la misma, un personaje marginado que intenta arruinarle la navidad a los Quién, lo que los diferencia es la motivación y la ejecución de su plan, sin embargo el mensaje principal que transmiten a los espectadores es el mismo. Algo que si hace diferente la versión animada es el hecho de tener una subtrama sobre la vida familiar de Cindy Lu, siendo bastante interesante en general, y, además, pese a que ambas presentan comedia la versión animada es mucho más suave e infantil a la hora de contar chistes, en cambio, la versión del 2000 tiene chistes mucho más interesantes e inteligentes que buscan atraer la atención de diferentes públicos lo que la hace mucho más atrayente.

   

   In the characters is where you see the biggest difference since the Grinch of the animated version is simply a depressive type that feels hurt by himself, even the Who see him as an equal who is only something rare, this character so simple makes his evolution throughout the film less expected since on more than one occasion he shows how he wants to be loved but the same that is denied for fear of rejection. Without a doubt the Grinch of 2000 is much more imposing and threatening, the Who fear him with good reason, he is evil and could even easily be considered a villain due to the different acts he does to the Who, although the outcome is exactly the same as that of the animated version is really a reflection of the character on things, it is not a development or anything like that but it is something more understandable. Something that should be praised about the animated version is the fact that it gives more prominence to the Who giving them even a goal, thus making the world feel more alive, none of the above mentioned happens in the live-action version being mere secondary actors.

   En los personajes es donde se ve la mayor diferencia puesto que el Grinch de la versión animada es simplemente un tipo depresivo que siente lastima por sí mismo, incluso los Quién lo ven como un igual que solo es algo raro, este personaje tan sencillo hace que su evolución a lo largo de la cinta sea menos esperado puesto que en más de una ocasión de muestra como desea ser querido pero el mismo se niega eso por miedo al rechazo. Sin duda alguna el Grinch del 2000 es mucho más imponente y amenazador, los Quién le temen con justa razón, es malvado e incluso fácilmente se podría considerar un villano debido a los diferentes actos que les hace a los Quién, si bien el desenlace es exactamente el mismo que el de la versión animada se ve realmente una reflexión del personaje sobre las cosas, no es un desarrollo ni nada por el estilo pero si es algo más entendible. Algo que se debe alabar de la versión animada es el hecho que les da más protagonismo a los Quién dándoles incluso un objetivo, haciendo así que el mundo se sienta más vivo, nada de lo anterior mencionado pasa en la versión live-action siendo meros actores secundarios.

   Both adaptations of the story of Dr. Seuss are very enjoyable, however there is a big difference between the quality of them, the 2000 version focuses more on the Grinch giving him an excellent characterization and giving good reasons for everything he does, his actions do not go unnoticed and that is why there is a huge rejection of his person. Quite the opposite happens with the animated version since although his Grinch is funny he lacks that malice and charisma of his predecessor, he does not manage to feel like a villain but more like a depressive teenager who thinks that everyone hates and despises him for no reason, that clear difference between the personalities of the protagonist totally change the film. For all the above mentioned the live-action version of 2000 deserves a rating of 5 stars out of 7, for its part the animated version of 2018 deserves a rating of 3.5 stars out of 7, although the latter is not bad pales in comparison to its predecessor that is so memorable that it can be seen countless times and is still wonderful.

   Ambas adaptaciones del cuento del Dr. Seuss son muy disfrutables, sin embargo existe una gran diferencia entre la calidad de las mismas, la versión del 2000 se enfoca más en el Grinch dándole una excelente caracterización y dando buenas razones para todo lo que hace, sus acciones no pasan desapercibidas y es por ello que existe un enorme rechazo de su persona. Todo lo contrario pasa con la versión animada puesto que si bien su Grinch es gracioso este carece de esa malicia y carisma de su antecesor, no logra sentirse como un villano sino más como un adolescente depresivo que piensa que todo el mundo lo odia y lo desprecia sin ningún motivo, esa clara diferencia entre las personalidades del protagonista cambian totalmente a la película. Por todo lo anterior mencionado la versión live-action del 2000 merece una calificación de 5 estrellas de 7, por su parte la versión animada de 2018 merece una calificación de 3,5 estrellas de 7, si bien esta última no es mala palidece en comparación a su antecesora que es tan memorable que puede verse incontables veces y sigue siendo maravillosa.

   Una vez más reafirmo que la etapa de la infancia es sumamente importante. Los seres humanos van moldeando el carácter, las futuras actitudes y la empatía por el entorno que los rodea. Muchos psicólogos y psiquiatras lo han evidenciado a través de sus estudios e investigaciones.

   La falta de amor es la causa de todos los males del mundo, y no necesito investigar mucho para saberlo. Los seres humanos, desde que nacen, solicitan caricias para sentirse protegidos y amados. De esta manera poco a poco van adaptándose al mundo que los rodea.

   El ser humano a estas alturas no ha entendido que si no hay AMOR la vida es insignificante, y que traer un niño al mundo es una responsabilidad. Desde el mismo momento de la concepción, el ser humano percibe si es amado o rechazado, y esto lo va arrastrando durante toda su vida.

   Cuando se presentan situaciones extrañas, para no especificar ni caer en controversias, lo primero que dicen los padres es que no saben por qué sucedió porque era un niño tan sano. No entiendo como no pueden ver lo que está ante sus ojos, como dice el dicho: “No hay peor ciego que el que no quiere ver”.

   Durante mi transitar por esta vida, he visto casos que me han dejado sin palabras, seres humanos amigos que nunca han logrado superar la carencia de afecto, los maltratos y la indiferencia de sus padres. La mayoría de las veces el silencio de las madres ante estas situación son peores. Y los llevan a encerrarse en una coraza para no amar y a las drogas para evadir sus problemas.

   También a los niños sin padres ni hogares, que tienen que vivir en orfanatos carentes de todo el amor y de las cosas materiales necesarias para sobrevivir.

   A todos ellos los vi reflejados en un filme muy famoso, El Grinch. Muchas personas me hicieron referencia sobre este filme, todos dijeron que era “amargado”, pero no he oído que nadie se preguntara:

   ¿Por qué es así?

   ¿De dónde viene tanta amargura?

   El mensaje del Grinch es muy claro: no quiere la navidad porque no tiene nada y su alma está vacía. En su mente no tiene ningún recuerdo positivo, ni un anclaje que lo sostenga a este mundo, perdió totalmente la empatía. Es incapaz de una caricia, palabra cariñosa o de una sonrisa porque nunca lo tuvo y no se puede dar lo que no se tiene.

   Después de disfrutar de esta película puedo decir que para mí “Grinch” es la falta de amor, de ahora en adelante lo utilizare para nombrar a los seres incapaces de amar.

   No había querido ver esa película, siempre la evadía. No me llamaba la atención porque es feo su color verde. Aquí reflejo mis estereotipos y paradigmas de la sociedad, todo lo feo es malo y por eso lo rechacé.

   Jim Carrey es muy buen actor pero a mí no me gusta. Sin embargo su interpretación como El Grinch estuvo excelente. Es el personaje a partir del cual gira toda la trama, quien representa el rencor, odio y amargura.

   Como El Grinch hay muchos seres humanos en el mundo que van arrastrando su desdicha y el no haber tenido una infancia feliz. Con carencias materiales y de amor no se puede esperar que actúen de otra manera.

   Villa Quien representa la sociedad indiferente y banal que solo viven de las apariencias. Seres que no ven más allá de sus ojos para darse cuenta que alguien necesitaba apoyo y que le solicitaba una mano salir de la situación en la cual vivía.

   Es preferible cerrar los ojos. Que siga la fiesta y que el mundo se derrumbe a su alrededor. Una sociedad consumista y derrochadora.

   La navidad se lleva en el alma y sentimientos, en la alegría del nacimiento del redentor del Mundo. Son días de reflexión y de buscarnos dentro de nosotros mismo. De agradecer por todo lo que hemos recibido y seguir adelante con la cabeza erguida y llenos de esperanza.

   El mejor regalo que podemos entregar es nuestro amor y envolverlo con una sonrisa.

   Cindy-Lou fue la única con la sensibilidad y capacidad de darse cuenta que El Grinch le faltaba amor, cariño y comprensión.

   A pesar de su corta edad, pudo distinguir y darse cuenta de sus necesidades de afecto. No vio su color verde ni su fealdad, sino que logra ver su corazón mucho más allá de lo que aparenta.

   Me fascinó la interpretación Taylor Momsen. Logró captar mi atención, mis aplausos para esta actriz.

   Once again I reaffirm that the childhood stage is extremely important. Human beings are molding the character, future attitudes and empathy for the environment around them. Many psychologists and psychiatrists have evidenced this through their studies and research.

   Lack of love is the cause of all the evils of the world, and I don't need much research to know it. Human beings, since they are born, ask for caresses to feel protected and loved. In this way, little by little, they adapt to the world around them.

   Human beings have not yet understood that if there is no LOVE, life is insignificant, and that bringing a child into the world is a responsibility. From the very moment of conception, the human being perceives whether he is loved or rejected, and this is carried throughout his life.

   When strange situations arise, in order not to specify or fall into controversy, the first thing the parents say is that they do not know why it happened because it was such a healthy child. I do not understand how they cannot see what is before their eyes, as the saying goes: "There is no worse blind person than the one who does not want to see".

   During my journey through this life, I have seen cases that have left me speechless, human beings friends who have never managed to overcome the lack of affection, abuse and indifference of their parents. Most of the time, the mothers' silence in the face of these situations is worse. And they lead them to enclose themselves in an armor not to love and to drugs to evade their problems.

   Also the children without parents or homes, who have to live in orphanages lacking all the love and material things necessary to survive.

   I saw all of them reflected in a very famous film, The Grinch. Many people made reference to me about this film, they all said it was "bitter", but I have not heard anyone ask:

   Why is it like that?

   Where does so much bitterness come from?

   The Grinch's message is very clear: he doesn't want Christmas because he has nothing and his soul is empty. In his mind he has no positive memory, no anchor to hold him to this world, he has totally lost empathy. He is incapable of a caress, a loving word or a smile because he never had one and you can't give what you don't have.

   After enjoying this movie I can say that for me "Grinch" is the lack of love, from now on I will use it to name the beings incapable of love.

   I had not wanted to see that movie, I always avoided it. It didn't catch my attention because its green color is ugly. Here I reflect my stereotypes and paradigms of society, everything ugly is bad and that's why I rejected it.

   Jim Carrey is a very good actor but I don't like him. However, his performance as The Grinch was excellent. He is the character around which the whole plot revolves, who represents resentment, hatred and bitterness.

   Like The Grinch there are many human beings in the world who are dragging their unhappiness and not having had a happy childhood. With material and love deficiencies, they cannot be expected to act in any other way.

   Villa Quien represents the indifferent and banal society that only live by appearances. Beings who do not see beyond their eyes to realize that someone needed support and asked for a hand out of the situation in which he lived. It is preferable to close our eyes. Let the party go on and let the world collapse around them. A consumerist and wasteful society.

   Christmas is carried in the soul and feelings, in the joy of the birth of the redeemer of the World. These are days of reflection and of searching within ourselves. To be thankful for all that we have received and to move forward with our heads held high and full of hope.

   The best gift we can give is our love and wrap it with a smile.

   Cindy-Lou was the only one with the sensitivity and ability to realize that The Grinch lacked love, affection and understanding.

   Despite her young age, she was able to distinguish and realize his need for affection. He did not see his green color or his ugliness, but manages to see his heart far beyond what it appears.

   I was fascinated by Taylor Momsen's performance. She managed to capture my attention, my applause for this actress.

    Analysis

    • The children value the effort of their parents: It is seen that the child wants to help her mother wanting to talk to Santa so that her mother does not work so much. The magic innocence of children are beautiful more than they are the engine of our strength as parents.

    • We must teach our children the meaning of Christmas: The Grinch did not get, nor magic, nor dreams when children grew up with a very hard life, without parents or anyone who cared about it, did not know the meaning of Christmas, so his bitterness and hatred towards this.

    • Envy is bad: We see how the Grinch envies the joy of others, wants everyone to be like him, does not celebrate Christmas and steals Christmas.

    In 1966, the world was introduced to the Dr. Seuss incarnation of Scrooge. The Christmas villain Grinch quickly became a ubiquitous image of Christmas. A cornerstone movie that meant Christmas was quickly approaching. The movie experienced the same seasonal rotation as films like It's a Wonderful Life and later, A Christmas Story. They are films that people never seem to tire watching. In 2000, Universal Pictures gave us the live-action Grinch starring Jim Carey. While the film was fun and campy, it lacked the same nostalgia of the original. Now, eighteen years later, the film has been given another face lift. I watched in Real 3D at my local AMC Theater.

    

    Whoville is a magical world, like many of the fantastical worlds that sprung from the mind of Dr. Seuss. It is a place of harmony and joy. It is a town with architectural features that defy the law of physics with citizens who don't seem to have a drop of malice in their blood. The town lives for their annual celebration of Christmas, where they gather as a community, join hands and sing. A towering nearby mountain has a cave inhabited by a furry green grouch with the personality of Sesame Street's Oscar, minus the trashcan. The trashcan is represented by his heart, which many of us learned long ago is two sizes too small. His name is Grinch (Benedict Cumberbatch). His name has been adopted to describe people who lack the Christmas spirit. When he hatches a plan to steal Christmas from his neighboring Whoville, the innocence of a child helps him confront his own troubled childhood.

    

    The 2018 version of The Grinch incorporates new elements into the same basic story, narrated by Pharrel Williams. In this iteration, Cindy Lou Who (Cameron Seely) has hatched a plan to help her mother, Donna Who (Rashida Jones) whose life has become deluged in work and raising three children alone. The story shares times between the residents of Whoville and the Grinch. The new material was a little bit silly intended to add some length to the film. It was filler. And it felt like it. I would have liked the new material more if it had been developed a bit better. Instead, it felt cheap. Like putting ketchup on prime roast beast. I liked the characters, but the new material was too vanilla. The basic elements of the original story stood on their own merit. They are a timeless exploration of the commercialization of Christmas encapsulated in a story of redemption and community.

    

    I enjoyed the animation, to include the 3D qualities. The film had a very slick look, yet remained true to the original in its look and feel. It was more a CGI make-over than a re-imagining of the material. The animation and sound were integrated flawlessly. Cumberbatch was an excellent choice for Grinch, delivering the character without adding any distraction. Pharrel Williams did a solid job of narrating. Seely, Jones, Keenan Thompson and the other voice actors did an excellent job of delivering the script, which was decent. The soundtrack was okay. Another updated version that didn't fully capture the magic of the original. It felt a bit forced, offering a variation of the original soundtrack rather than anything original. Going halfway didn't really work for me. It would have been better to leave it alone than to merely tinker with it.

    

    The Grinch earned an easy PG rating from the MPAA. The target audience here is families. Adults who grew up with the Grinch are able to introduce their children to the story together. There were plenty of families in the theater yesterday. My wife and I were likely the only couple at the theater without children for the matinee showing. I would imagine quite a few couples who have grown children have or will see this film as well. The nostalgia of this film will appeal to adults while the film might otherwise seem targeted toward children. As a family oriented film, this story avoids any questionable material. It is a stretch to find anything to warrant a rating advisory, other than the basis of the story, which deals with issues like abandonment and loneliness. There is one scene where a kid is clothed in nothing more than a cookie. It is humorous. This film is great for all ages. Run time is one hour, 26 minutes.

    

    If given a choice between the 1966 version, the 2000 iteration of the 2018 installation, I think my heart would settle on the original. It has a magic that transcends the ages. It may not be as slick or visually appealing, but it has magic. I think the 2018 version captured some of that magic, but it added filler that the story didn't need and updated the music in ways that didn't improve it. I would still give this film a recommendation. I like the basic story. Given the choice, I would pick the original. But, ultimately, I enjoyed this version as well. 7/10.

    Jim Carrey makes a masterpiece out of this awesome Dr. Seuss classic. Find myself having to watch it every year around this time. I heard his makeup and suit was so unbearable that he had to be taught military torture tricks on how to block it mentally.
