  1. (ENG/SPA) The NeverEnding Story Fantasy Review@promete0sz535d

    historia sin fin miniatura.jpg

I think that Adulthood is the agonizing death of Childhood, it is sad to see how the world around us forces us to forget and bury what once was the purest of joys which is that imagination so characteristic and alive of the Early Age, in my case my mind is still alive as an adult child struggling to cope with the real world but at the same time wants to be happy just flying while watching his favorite movies.

The NeverEnding Story is a film that you can enjoy on MAX and represents in its story that fantastic battle in the mind of a child who is about to accept the transition of the responsibilities of adulthood and with it the death of his pure imagination.

This reflection is what has touched me the most and caused me many feelings because I had not seen this film since I was a child decades ago and it is now that I understand the crystalline message of this great film.

While watching the movie it was like watching myself as a child where the creation of content is my imagination that makes life here in hive, it is as if that innocent creativity of my childhood was resurrected and in each review I live an adventure born of fantasy become reality.

I recommend it to everyone, especially if you watch it with your family so that when you reflect on what you have seen with your children, you too can become children with them.

    • This film is a Magical Adventure

This was the first thing that came to me when I started watching this story, it is so natural, soft, it flows like a river in spring, it is refreshing, if the director and screenwriters wanted to tell a fantastic story they have succeeded, I can see why it is a classic and one that has been lost in the roots of the decades.

Just watch the Trailer and let yourself be enveloped by the innocent white magic of this Narrative Fantasy.

    • The Execution in scene of The Fantastic Creatures

Just look at the gif, it is a tenderness made reality, I can't stop being amazed by the story that has been presented to me, I see this kind of elements more alive in soul than the digital elements made by computer today which are too artificial and I find it hard to tolerate them.

I think that for the new generations to see this will be a new experience that will please, it does not have the perfection in effects of today but just the fact of seeing the creatures unfold will be an impact where I consider the positive will prevail, maybe some children will be scared haha but I think even that is fine because it reflects the living visual element of what they want to convey and that at least to me has left me with my imagination done wonders.

    • The Feelings of the Film

In the image you can see what was one of the two moments in which the film caused me many feelings because of the agony of the imagination of the child protagonist who is surrounded by elements that are forcing him to be an adult.

It is a struggle that we all suffer in our childhood when adulthood is about to arrive, in some it comes later and in others earlier when, for example, one of the events that marks, impacts, leaves an eternal scar is the death of a mother or father, that is when the real world shatters the door of our childish, creative and imaginative refuge and we cry our eyes out from something that we can never escape.

I am fortunate because my childhood was very happy, in fact it took me a long time to grasp what responsibilities were haha that at the time came because they are inevitable but I had the maturity to cope but something I have never done is to forget my inner child, I am still happily a child and that's why I am so happy to write my opinions, my reviews.

A movie to which I give 10 out of 10 because everything impressed me, the story, the dolls, the reflections that left me and that I share with you to encourage you to see it because I am sure it will leave you with other reflections based on the experiences of each character in the Eternal Fantasy of your inner child.

I dedicate each and every one of my posts and videos to my little dog named princess, we called her chiquito, she is no longer with us but from heaven she will see that her existence was valuable and the most beautiful thing that will exist in my heart and soul.

  2. We are enveloped by nothingness | My thoughts on the film "The Neverending Story" (En-Es)@mafalda20181046d

"The hopeless human is easy to control, and he who has the control will have the power."

With the first rays of light at dawn, I looked at the blue sky and inside me that nothing would stop the disaster, both psychological and environmental. A terror invaded my soul, I always knew that someday it would come, it would envelop the planet and all human beings. A job very well done, the human being idiotized in front of a cell phone or a computer, without looking to the sides, applauding the technological advances. Without looking up to see the ecological disaster and all that it has caused.

The fury of nature has been returned to man himself, with phenomena that are causing great catastrophes. I am not going to talk about what was and was not done, but about tomorrow... If we have a tomorrow or a future. We have lost our essence, the good side we have inside, the conscience that told us what we should not do. This happens in the real world as well as in the virtual world. For the sake of an "I like it", we do everything... and when I say everything, I mean everything.

I am not against technological advances, but the lack of control and the way people are involved and how we use technology. Totally detaching ourselves from the real world. We live only for a "Like" and to get followers and we are giving up living.

It should be noted that there are currently countries where pollution is so high that the air they breathe is not clean. On the other hand, the main sources of water are polluted, and there is not enough on the planet for human beings. Wars everywhere, brothers against brothers. But all that doesn't matter, we continue in front of the computer, like all people, longing for a planet that no longer exists. OMG, sometimes I wonder:

Do I exist, am I a reality or a lie?

Like all of us who are left on the planet. As the philosopher said Sócrates. "I only know that I know nothing", I prefer to continue enjoying the song of the birds, the croaking of the frogs. The beauty of the hummingbirds, the flowers and the green foliage. Also the blue sky, the clouds, the rain and a delicious coffee with friends.

Soon there will be NOTHING left of the world, and this reminds me of one of the many films I have seen, where the young Atreyu, together with Sebastian and Falkor, try to save the world of Fantasia and the Empress. The never ending story, or as my mom said, just like the story of the bald rooster, this situation never ends. Fantasia is our inner world, that emotional part that needs care, that struggles to survive and cling to dreams and desires.

The most worrying thing is the emotional part, sometimes I feel strange, I don't know if it happens to you, but it is a different feeling, and it is an emptiness that is reflected in the stomach. We are static and we do not move forward or backward. At this moment we feel that nothing has been achieved and that we are in the wrong place. This feeling of NOTHING is something momentary and we should not let it invade our life. We must shake it off quickly and get up. I think this is happening because of the bad vibes of the planet.

Friends of #Hive the important thing is to get up, if you can't you just have to look for help. As in the never ending story, we must have guáramos as we Venezuelans say, fight for our lives and get up. We have to look for our friends, because with a cup of coffee and a chat, we can get out of this momentary moment or of NOTHING.

    Long live friends!.

"Without realizing it, they had shaken hands and listened delightedly in silence. Each knew that the other felt the same way he did: the joy of having found a friend."

In a few months it will be 39 years since the movie The Neverending Story was released. Was it a premonition or was the German writer Michael Ende going through some difficult times when he created NOTHING, the characters of the Fantasy world and Sebastian and the real world. Together in the struggle against it. Sometimes in times of despair intuition and creativity kicks in.

OMG, the black wolf allied with NOTHING is terrifying. I imagine it destroying our dreams, it makes me sad and at the same time terrified because I know that there will be no vestiges of nothingness left. It intertwines the life of a boy who lost his family and his dreams and yet helps to save Fantasia. The book opens a portal to a beautiful world with fantastic characters.

I liked this film, although it does not compare to the book. I have seen it several times and I enjoy it very much, and I immerse myself in the world of Fantasia together with Sebastian, Atreyu and Falkor. I forget about everything and bring out the little girl in me.

It is a fantasy and adventure film, it lasts one hour and thirty-five minutes. It was directed by Wolfgang Petersen. I was fascinated by the soundtrack.

"In the world of fantasy, every part belongs to the world of mankind's dreams and hope. Therefore, there are no limits to fantasy."

Friends of the #Movies&Shows Community, this film has a very important message, and one that should not be overlooked, and that is that we have to fight so that NOTHING envelops us. We have to wake up from the lethargy where technology and social networks have submerged us. Change, bet and fight for a better world. This is not a review, it is just my appreciation of this film that I find very interesting.

I invite you to enjoy this film, but... to watch it with the eyes of the heart. The message is that we must not lose hope for the future.

Thank you for visiting my Blog at #Hive.

OMG, a veces me pregunto:

It's time to review the best film that, despite being 37 years old, hasn't aged a thing and is even more current.

Cinema has big problems when it comes to fairy tales lately, there is no, or a film so weak that people forget about it quickly. That is why today I am returning to a classic so powerful that the imagination runs at full speed.

The film tells the story of a young boy who, having lost his mum, tries to find peace in the land of imagination, but his dad tries to persuade him to start thinking rationally and reject the land of dreams.

Bastian loves books, it's his only escape from the everyday life of school, tests and children who oppress him. He tries to leave the problems around him behind by getting into book adventures and forgetting for a while what is going on around him. One day he goes to the best place, which is the library, where a surprised librarian, seeing that Bastian loves books, shows him a mysterious book, Bastian takes the book and starts reading the most important adventure of his life at school. While reading as an audience we see the beautiful land of Fantasia, which is threatened by Nothingness. A young warrior and his faithful steed are invited on an expedition to find a way to save the kingdom and the empress.

    FB2A6317-9DD9-4A04-B882-2E16C3087B5C.png source.

While reading the story, Bastian experiences a range of emotions from sadness and anger to joy and cheering for the hero to succeed. The beautiful thing about this story is the interlocking of two radically different stories that ultimately form a coherent whole. The key always lies in our imagination.

Wolfgang Pettersen has created a very fabulous work full of magical lands, but also perfectly constructed creatures and a funny dragon Falkor, which was the inspiration for the animated series Time for Adventure. It is a film about friendship, loss, overcoming adversity and weakness and that nothing is impossible if only we believe in it. Turning on this film, I knew after just the first three seconds that it was going to be an epic masterpiece that would make me feel like a child again for a while. I must admit that despite all these years, the scene when Atreyu tries to save his beloved horse from the swamps of despair still brings tears to my eyes.

I wrote at the beginning that this video works well now. We adults full of affairs, in constant depression do not even have a moment to dream about the land, this film will create such a small illusion, and of course the book fully complements it. A huge plus is the title song, which has become a timeless classic, making us sit on Falkor's back for a moment and fly away to Fantasia.

The graphic design in this film is also a small work of art, many elements are created here by hand, while others are masks, so it is one of those films without the typical Cgi, so here everything is more natural than modern over-idealized cinema.

Coming back to the plot Atreyu has a tough task despite being a brave warrior, in the book he will have several trials to prove his good intentions. What is extraordinary is the ending, which breaks all the stereotypes and the fourth wall, creating an extraordinary story, because that is what imagination and fantasy are all about, that there is no such thing as a Framework in which you can put a story.

    E7A0A9A7-D980-47BA-B8DB-B14571ECA14F.jpeg source/source.
This is one of those films that will make you feel better even if you are depressed, here for a moment you will be someone completely different while watching it. Great roles of children in this film, each of the young actors here plays with such conviction, as if they came out of the pages of a book. A good book is the one in which we can disappear reading it, being for this moment the protagonist of the novel. The director tried to do at least a fraction of the same, so that the viewer feels like a reader, and after the screening is more involved in reading fascinating books.

An outstanding film, which will not grow old even in a hundred years, because fairy tales are our imagination and even if the effects will be old, the plot will still be the winner. 10/10 It's been a long time since I've given a rating, but I haven't rated this great film before either.

    FB2A6317-9DD9-4A04-B882-2E16C3087B5C.png zrodlo.

My ludzie dorośli pełni spraw, w ciągłej depresji nie mamy nawet chwili by pomarzyć o krainie, ten film stworzą taka mała iluzje, a oczywiście książka w pełni dopełnia to.

    E7A0A9A7-D980-47BA-B8DB-B14571ECA14F.jpeg zrodlo.

  4. Film Review: The NeverEnding Story (1984)@drax1716d

    (source: tmdb.org)

Like it or not, great literature these days is more likely to be experienced through screen adaptations than actual books. Those adaptations are almost always inferior to the original, because something always gets lost in translation between different media. German author Michael Ende was thus very displeased when he first saw 1984 adaptation of his popular fantasy novel The NeverEnding Story and he later even tried to disassociate himself from the film through lawsuit. The audience had quite another opinion and the film, known as the first English language production directed by Wolfgang Petersen and the most expensive film in history of German cinema by that time, became global box office hit and part of 1980s popular culture.

The protagonist, played by Barret Oliver, is Bastien, young boy who has recently lost mother and tries to find solace in world of fantasy and daydreaming. One day, after being chased by school bullies, he finds shelter in book store where he finds its owner Coreander (played by Thomas Hill) reading the strange book. After being warned that it is too intense for him, he nevertheless “borrows” it and begins to read. The book describes the strange and wonderful world of Fantasia which has recently began to be gobbled by malevolent force called Nothing. The only person that can stop it is Childlike Empress (played by Tammi Stronach), but she is mortally ill. The only person that can find the cure is boy warrior Atreyu (played by Noah Hathaway) who begins long and perilous journey. As he becomes engrossed in the story, Bastien begins to suspect that he can actually affect the characters and the plot.

Wolfgang Petersen, based on his previous film, gritty war epic Das Boot, looked somewhat odd choice for director of a family-oriented film. His skills with big budget production, though, are quite evident in this film made with elaborate and expensive sets in Bavaria Film studios in Munich, as well as with the best visual effects pre-CGI technology could offer. Film looks and sounds impressive, the latter helped by memorable score by Klaus Doldinger who was aided by Giorgio Moroder providing title song performed by Limahl, that would become big hit of its time. The script represents intriguing exploration of a relation between fiction and reality and can be enjoyed by thinking and more adult audience, while at the same time it is relatively simple adventure story youngest audience can easily understand and enjoy. Three child actors – Oliver, Stronach and Hathaway (who almost died while shooting some physically demanding scenes) – do great job and it is somewhat disappointing that they didn’t pursue acting careers while adults. While generally good film, The NeverEnding Story has some serious flaws. Certain creative choices were less than fortunate, and one example could be found in character of Falkor (voiced by Alan Oppenheimer) who is accepted as dragon by audience only after being explicitly referenced as such. The ending seems somewhat rushed and the script actually covers only the first half of Ende’s novel. Sequels, made years later and with completely new cast, were predictably inferior but The NeverEnding Story nevertheless maintained its good reputation, although more adult audience would probably appreciate less if it doesn’t feel strong nostalgia towards 1980s.

  5. Neverending Story: A children's movie masterpiece@claudio831894d

The Neverending Story is a fantastic tale written by the German Michael Ende and first published on September 01, 1979, 41 years ago. The book was a great success among young readers and was also treated a film released in 1984, becoming a cult of the 80s, still much loved and appreciated by young fans and old nostalgics of 80s filmography.

I personally saw only the first film, in total there are 3, and it left me really excited and still today I continue to watch it every time they broadcast it on TV.

The plot tells the story of Sebastian, as a young boy, a lover of books, who, chased by some children, takes refuge in a library and here he meets the book of the Infinite Story.

The book tells of the mysterious force, Nothingness, which engulfs and destroys the empire of Fantasia whose gravely ill empress will not be able to defend her people and her lands. The task of saving Fantasia is entrusted to the young Atreyu who, hunted by Gmork, an emissary of the Nothing, escapes from his clutches, thanks to the help of Falkor, a lucky dragon, who will accompany Atreyu to the Oracle, in search of an answer on how to defeat nothingness.

The oracle informs Atreyu that the only hope to stop the Nothing is to find a dreamer earth boy who will have to give a new name to the empress.

Sebastian begins to understand that he is not a mere reader and the Nothing will try to stop the boy by appearing in the real world in the form of a storm. The dark force now reaches Fantasia, also defeating Atreyu, and as he is about to hit the empress, Sebastian, realizing that he is the earthling who can save the kingdom, shouts the name of his mother, who died shortly before.

Although Sebastian is convinced it was too late, the empress meets the young boy informing him that the Nothing has been defeated.

The story really lets us reflect and is increasingly topical: the Nothing, that is the emptiness of the young boys who have stopped believing and dreaming, wanders more and more and the magical world of dreams, the empire of Fantasy, no longer exists. .

Consumerism and technology always leave less room for stories and tales, few are those who dedicate time to reading and imagination. We are destined to be addicted to electronic devices that destroy our neurons with each passing day.

A film that could teach a lot of young people and adults about how important it is to dream and give meaning to our life
