Una misión motivada por la venganza dará inicio a una guerra desenfrenada por el control del mundo criminal... "The Raid 2"
En el 2012 se estrenó uno de los films que me impresionó por su historia, por sus personajes y por la cantidad de escenas de acción, una misión mortal en dónde un grupo policial debería hacer una redada en un lugar lleno de criminales y de inocentes hundidos en el poder de muy malas personas; tan solo un hombre con las verdaderas ganas de hacer justicia, de redimir y hasta posiblemente ser un salvador sería el capaz de enfrentar a estos criminales usando toda su agilidad en el combate para poder sobrevivir al infierno en dónde estaba atrapado. Sin ninguna duda que The Raid es violenta, cruda, llena de escenas de acción, impresionantes peleas y pensaba que, si en algún momento tuviera una secuela, tal vez se vería algo repetitivo, pero su creador, director y escritor, _**Gareth Evans**_, tenía un plan uno que sería un verdadero cierre para esta fase en lo que es una corta franquicia.

In 2012 was released one of the films that impressed me for its story, for its characters and for the amount of action scenes, a deadly mission where a police group should make a raid in a place full of criminals and innocents sunk in the power of very bad people; only a man with the true desire to do justice, to redeem and even possibly be a savior would be the one able to face these criminals using all his agility in combat in order to survive the hell where he was trapped. There is no doubt that The Raid is violent, raw, full of action scenes, impressive fights and I thought that, if it were to ever get a sequel, it might get a little repetitive, but its creator, director and writer, _**Gareth Evans**_, had a plan that would be a true closure to this phase in what is a short franchise.
"The Raid 2: Barandal" es una secuela directa del film que la precede y en donde muestra que era de esperar que lo ocurrido en la historia anterior traería consecuencias; una nueva lucha por el poder y no solo de una edificación sino de algo más grande que involucra a dos familias criminales y a la policía; es por eso que nuevamente Rama deberá aceptar una nueva misión suicida, pero esta vez con un significado diferente porque la redención quedó atrás, el motivo de esta nueva misión es la venganza y eso hará que Rama sea más despiadado y agresivo que antes.
"The Raid 2: Barandal" is a direct sequel to the film that precedes it and where it shows that it was expected that what happened in the previous story would bring consequences; a new struggle for power and not only of a building but of something bigger that involves two criminal families and the police; that is why again Rama must accept a new suicide mission, but this time with a different meaning because redemption was left behind, the reason for this new mission is revenge and that will make Rama more ruthless and aggressive than before.
Muy pocas veces me emociono al ver un trailer de cualquier film, esto es porque siempre muestran mucho y no hay nada más que disfrutar al momento de ver estos films porque lo mejor justamente está en los trailers, pero en The Raid 2 ocurrió algo que pocas veces puedo experimentar, no podría creer la emoción de ver cada una de esas breves tomas sobre lo que sería este film, en especial una en dónde vemos al personaje de Rama preparándose para comenzar un gran combate; desde ese instante sabía de qué esta segunda parte sería especial y hasta mejor que la anterior, cosa que parecía imposible de suceder, pero como dije al principio, Gareth Evans tenía un gran plan para llevar a otro nivel a esta historia en dónde un hombre que cree en lo correcto se envuelve en un mundo corrupto, violento y en dónde debe usar sus puños y patadas para poder sobrevivir. El director inglés utiliza la cámara en forma especial para dar más tensión a las escenas de peleas que son caóticas y cuando defino a estas escenas como caóticas, no es de mala manera porque las coreografías son excelentes y con este estilo de filmarlas es que se percibe un nuevo nivel por ejemplo en dos importantes escenas de peleas en dónde una la escenografía es grande y se se presta para que todo sea rápido, violento y caótico, en cambio la gran escena de la pelea en la cocina es lo contrario porque Evans se enfoca en dos peleadores, explota sus habilidades, les da el tiempo necesario para desarrollar su combate y es por eso que para mí tanto los artistas marciales como el director crearon una de las escenas icónicas en el cine de acción.
Una evolución de una franquicia cinematográfica no sería completa sin una historia bien desarrollada, esto sucede en esta segunda parte porque pasamos de una historia de redención que se desarrolla en un edificio en dónde en su totalidad está llena de delincuentes a una historia de sacrificio y venganza en un mundo lleno de delincuentes; claramente si comparo ambos films, el segundo debe mostrar dificultad para tener mayor tensión y acción y es por eso que explorar el verdadero mundo criminal era lo indicado porque el cual en el primer film de The Raid solo mostraba una pequeña parte; crear una historia de códigos, violencia, ambición, engaño, peligro era esperado cuando vemos un film basado en mafias que controlan a ciertos lugares, pero también se espera de que exista un drama familiar que intensifica la lucha por obtener el poder; el tener una historia con las características antes descritas hacen que está completa historia evolucione y se prepare para que pueda contar otras cosas más que lamentablemente sea difícil de ver, pero creo que el director y guionista fue inteligente en cerrar círculos y dejar una puerta abierta por si algún día decide seguir con esta historia.
Very few times I get excited when I see a trailer of any film, this is because they always show a lot and there is nothing else to enjoy when watching these films because the best is just in the trailers, but in The Raid 2 something happened that I can rarely experience, I could not believe the emotion of seeing each of those brief shots of what this film would be, especially one where we see the character of Rama getting ready to start a big fight; from that moment I knew that this second part would be special and even better than the previous one, something that seemed impossible to happen, but as I said at the beginning, Gareth Evans had a great plan to take this story to another level where a man who believes in what is right gets involved in a corrupt, violent world and where he must use his fists and kicks to survive. The English director uses the camera in a special way to give more tension to the fight scenes that are chaotic and when I define these scenes as chaotic, it is not in a bad way because the choreographies are excellent and with this style of filming is that a new level is perceived for example in two important fight scenes where the scenery is large and lends itself to make everything fast, The big fight scene in the kitchen is the opposite because Evans focuses on two fighters, exploits their skills, gives them the necessary time to develop their combat and that is why for me both the martial artists and the director created one of the iconic scenes in action movies.
An evolution of a film franchise would not be complete without a well developed story, this happens in this second part because we go from a story of redemption that takes place in a building where the whole is full of criminals to a story of sacrifice and revenge in a world full of criminals; clearly if I compare both films, the second one must show difficulty to have more tension and action and that is why exploring the real criminal world was the right thing to do because the first film of The Raid only showed a small part of it; creating a story of codes, violence, ambition, deceit, danger was expected when we see a film based on mafias that control certain places, but it is also expected that there is a family drama that intensifies the struggle for power; having a story with the characteristics described above make this complete story evolve and prepare to tell other things that unfortunately is difficult to see, but I think the director and screenwriter was smart to close circles and leave an open door if someday he decides to continue with this story.
Al momento de hablar de actuaciones, puedo decir que Tio Pakusadewo quien interpreta al jefe de la mafia en Jakarta, "Bangun", es el mejor actor del film, tranquilo, calculador, despiadado y que su único punto débil es su hijo; su actuación en las pocas escenas que tiene son buenas, correctas para este film, pero si me enfocó en los artistas marciales y su desempeño en cada escena de acción, es claro que Iko Uwais, Julie Estelle, Cecep Arif Rahman, Very Tri Yulisman y Yayan Ruhian, quienes interpretan a "Rama, Hammer Girl, The Assassin, Baseball Bat Man" y "Prakoso", son los que mejor hacen su trabajo en el film; cada una de sus escenas son impresionantes, las coreografías son perfectas y llevan a esta historia a un nuevo nivel.
When talking about performances, I can say that Tio Pakusadewo who plays the mafia boss in Jakarta, "Bangun", is the best actor in the film, calm, calculating, ruthless and his only weak point is his son; his performance in the few scenes he has are good, correct for this film, but if I focused on the martial artists and their performance in each action scene, it is clear that Iko Uwais, Julie Estelle, Cecep Arif Rahman, Very Tri Yulisman and Yayan Ruhian, who play "Rama, Hammer Girl, The Assassin, Baseball Bat Man" and "Prakoso", are the ones who do their best job in the film; each of their scenes are impressive, the choreographies are perfect and take this story to a new level.
Inmediatamente, cuando supe sobre el concurso dentro de la comunidad de "Movies & TV Shows" enfocado en la mejor película de acción, inmediatamente pensé en una de las mejores películas que he visto, una que no solo consideré como el mejor film de acción en el 2014 sino el mejor en ese año; recuerdo cuando la vi por primera vez tuve que aplaudir al finalizar la gran pelea en la cocina aunque en realidad estaba aplaudiendo por todo lo que es este film porque tiene un ritmo impresionante en cada escena de acción y aunque pudiera pedir más tensión en algunas escenas, creo que no era tan importante para la historia de Rama, sino para el desarrollo de lo que es este mundo criminal porque como dije anteriormente, Evans tenía un plan el cual ya había comenzado antes de finalizar está historia, pero a pesar de esto creo que el director inglés se sintió exhausto y decidió darle prioridad a otros proyectos tal vez buscando la fuerza para regresar a Indonesia y dar a los muchos fans de esta franquicia un episodio más de este mundo violento de The Raid. Cierro está primera parte en decir lo que considero mis películas favoritas de acción, por momento serán dos partes en dónde me enfocó en dos películas con ritmos extremos, con muchos combates y excelentes escenas de acción; en esta oportunidad les recomiendo uno de los mejores films de artes marciales y muy pronto (antes de terminar el concurso) les hablaré de otro film el cual también es impresionantemente violento y loco.
Immediately, when I heard about the contest within the "Movies & TV Shows " community focused on the best action movie, I immediately thought of one of the best movies I have ever seen, one that I not only considered to be the best action film in 2014 but the best in that year; i remember when i saw it for the first time i had to applaud at the end of the big fight in the kitchen although in reality i was applauding for everything that is this film because it has an impressive rhythm in every action scene and although i could ask for more tension in some scenes, i think it was not so important for the story of Rama, but for the development of what is this criminal world because as i said before, Evans**_ had a plan which he had already started before finishing this story, but in spite of this I think the English director felt exhausted and decided to give priority to other projects maybe looking for the strength to return to Indonesia and give to the many fans of this franchise one more episode of this violent world of The Raid. I close this first part in saying what I consider my favorite action movies, for the moment will be two parts where I focus on two films with extreme rhythms, with many fights and excellent action scenes; in this opportunity I recommend one of the best martial arts films and very soon (before the end of the contest) I will talk about another film which is also impressively violent and crazy.
