Uncharted is action-adventure movie that is based on a computer game with the same name. It is directed by Ruben Fleischer and it came out on February 18, 2022. I know that the fans of the computer game were very disappointed by the movie and the casting, but for someone who has no idea what the game is about, this movie is a blast. It reminded me of the old Tomb Raider movies, just a fan unapologetic adventure movie with some riddles. I am not sure if this type of movie is popular anymore, but I loved it and had a blast watching it.
The movie stars Tom Holland as Nathan "Nate" Drake who is a bartender and a thief. Drake has a tragic past, he used to be very close to his brother who left one day promising to return. His brother taught him a lot of the history regarding treasure hunting. Which comes in handy when Victor Sullivan (Mark Wahlberg) recruits him to find one of the oldest and biggest undiscovered treasures in history. Obviously they are not the only ones trying to locate this treasure, an old rich family lead by Santiago Moncada (Antonio Banderas) who used to be the owner of this treasure are desperately trying to find their old fortune and will stop at nothing to get to it first. Because you can't have an action movie without a good villain, or in this case, just a regular villain.
This movie is hardly a masterpiece, but it is fun. I had really low expectations and I was pleasantly surprised. There are plenty of fun action scenes that are pretty original, although some don't work, especially the terrible CGI once. The archeological riddles are super fun. They were pretty original and fun. Obviously the plot doesn't make too much sense, but I think no one expects realism in such a movie. Or sense. Just a good time which this movie totally provides.
The fun times are helped by most of the actors. As expected Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg are extremely charismatic, great with action sequences and are super funny. Whenever you put them in an action sequence or a comedy banter you get entertaining results and that’s what we are here for. They just effortlessly raise the movie to a more entreating one. Antonio Bandera is just a cliché villain and doesn't do much with what he is given. I did like the role that Tati Gabrielle was given, she was a good henchman, well, woman. She clearly had a lot of fun with what she had to do. Most of the actors in this movie are very much a contribution to the fun element in it.
Sure this movie isn't one of the best action movies of all times and I am not sure how it even compares to the computer game, but I had a blast. If you come in with low expectations I am sure you will enjoy it too.

Uncharted comes from a game and I'm not sure if I played it, I feel like it did because my brother has always been a playstation user and he had a lot of games and I always played what he had there, hahaha. Things that siblings do, but I'm not really sure if it was one of these particular games since they tend to be similar to other adventure games.

Uncharted viene de un juego y no estoy segura de haberlo jugado, yo siento que sí porque mi hermano siempre ha sido un usuario de playstation y tenía muchos juegos y yo siempre jugaba lo que él tenía ahí, jajaja. Cosas que hacen los hermanos, pero realmente no estoy segura si fue uno de estos juegos en particular ya que suelen ser similares a otros de aventuras.

Uncharted, nos trae la historia de Nathan Drake, un joven brillante que trabaja en un bar en Nueva York, y que una noche conoce a Sullivan, un cazador de fortuna; que le propone buscar un tesoro de Magallanes en España, además el hombre le asegura que ha conocido a Sam, el hermano mayor de Nathan, pero que el chico tiene mucho tiempo de no ver; asi que, finalmente accede a ayudarlo. En la busqueda de este tesoro incian en Barcelona, dónde se les une Chloe Frazer, un contacto de Sullivan, pero, por supuesto que terminan ganandose de enemigo a Santiago Moncada (un hombre con historia aristocrata que asegura que el tesoro pertener a su familia) y Jo quien trabaja para Moncada.
I must confess that adventure movies with touches of comedy have always caught my attention and although not all of them have appealed to me, some of them manage to catch me, and today I come to tell you about a movie based on the video games called Uncharted, created by Amy Hennig and that inspired to tell the story around the search for a treasure.

Una película que gire en torno a un tesoro perdido, no se evalua de la misma manera a las demás, para mi, una de las cosas que tiene que tener este tipo de películas es cierta dificultad de poder conocer este tesoro, además, también debe tener como ese nivel dónde todo se desarrolla y las piezas encajan perfectamente; en esta película siento que si estan estos factores y además te da esa sensación de emoción.
La trama de esta pelicula, no es nada dificil de entender, y siento que esto es un plus, porque realmente lo interesante es ver como llegaran al objetivo, obviamente hay momentos dónde no se comparte toda la información, pero no siento que es de esas historias dónde sientes que te pierdes y no puedes disfrutar de la aventura.
Un punto muy ligado a la trama, son las escenas de acción, por supuesto, que hay escenas que tú dices: por supuesto que nadie sobrevive a eso, pero, siento que igual lo perdono porque estas escenas son las que reviven la historia y para ser sincera, este tipo de películas siempre tendrán unas escenas de acción más para dejarte con la boca abierta, que para ser realistas.
A film that revolves around a lost treasure, is not evaluated in the same way as the others, for me, one of the things that this type of film has to have is a certain difficulty to know this treasure, in addition, it must also have that level where everything develops and the pieces fit perfectly; in this film I feel that these factors are there and also gives you that feeling of excitement.
The plot of this movie is not difficult to understand, and I feel that this is a plus, because what is really interesting is to see how they will reach the goal, obviously there are moments where not all the information is shared, but I do not feel that it is one of those stories where you feel you get lost and can not enjoy the adventure.
A point closely linked to the plot, are the action scenes, of course, there are scenes that you say: of course no one survives that, but, I feel that I still forgive it because these scenes are the ones that revive the story and to be honest, this kind of movies will always have some action scenes more to leave you with your mouth open, than to be realistic.
En torno a los personajes, siento que Nathan fue uno de mis favoritos, estuvo interpretado por Tom Holland y me gustó mucho su trabajo, una de las cosas que más me asustaba era no poder desligarlo de SpiderMan; pero regresando al personaje siento que tuvo un crecimiento bonito en la película, además me gusta su aporte en la trama, es ese personaje que conecta todo con bastante inteligencia y astucia.
Nathan hace dupla con Sullivan, esta relación me pareció que escaló bien lindo, porque en estas películas estamos esperando todo el tiempo traiciones y realmente cambian un poco esa dinámica. Un personaje que sentí un poco plano fue el de Chole, siento que ella estaba siempre a la defensiva, pero, no termino aportando demasiado.
Hablando de los personajes malvados, debo decir que Moncada, aunque tenía un trasfondo, se quedo bastante atrás y me hubiese gustado que se desarrollará mucho más. La estrella malvada, definitivamente fue Jo, fue una contraparte muy buena y que siempre me sorprendió.
Regarding the characters, I feel that Nathan was one of my favorites, he was played by Tom Holland and I really liked his work, one of the things that scared me the most was not being able to separate him from SpiderMan; but going back to the character I feel that he had a nice growth in the film, I also like his contribution in the plot, he is that character that connects everything with intelligence and cunning.
Nathan makes a duo with Sullivan, this relationship seemed to me to escalate nicely, because in these movies we are expecting betrayals all the time and they really change that dynamic a little bit. One character that I felt a little flat was Chole, I feel that she was always on the defensive, but, she didn't end up contributing too much.
Speaking of the evil characters, I have to say that Moncada, although he had a backstory, he lagged quite a bit and I would have liked to see him developed a lot more. The evil star was definitely Jo, she was a very good counterpart who always surprised me.
El único aspecto negativo que resalto de esta película, es que necesariamente, aunque la trama me gustó y es entretenida, siento que a veces va demasiado rápido o no desarrolla necesariamente algunos conflictos porque va pendiente de desarrollar lo siguiente, no es algo que se note demasiado, pero, tenía que mencionarlo porque forma parte de la experiencia.
Finalmente, Uncharted es una película de aventuras demasiado entretenida, en ningún momento pierdes el hilo, te conquista con sus personajes y sus escenas de acción, es una película que recomendaría para pasar el rato y vivir una experiencia llena de aventuras, además, las personas que han jugado los videojuegos se sienten contentos con esta adaptación que se presenta, la verdad yo la he juzgado completamente como película, ya que no he jugado estos videojuegos, pero, si alguien lo ha hecho, espero su opinión en los comentarios.

I think what drew me towards this film was because of the two people I first saw on the trailer and the 2 guys on the cover picture.
The ever talented Tom Holland who we all know from Spiderman and Mark Wahlberg, our comedy and actions superstar.
When I first saw this movie, I immediately knew it would be gold. The only problem was when would I be chanced to watch it. Well I had time during my lazy day on Tuesday and here's what I think about it.

Mencione que había otras cosas que se presentan aparte de la búsqueda del tesoro, esto se trabaja con sutileza siendo que se van enfocando por momentos para que el espectador se vaya dando una idea hasta que llegado un punto terminan de desarrollarlo del todo; a esto se le suma el excelente uso de giros argumentales que se sienten inteligentes y plausibles, ya que tienen una construcción muy bien lograda que los hace encajar perfectamente en la trama.
Honestly I did not expect this section to be so remarkable because I expected the typical linear story where the protagonists have one or another stumble and in the end achieve their goals, this is not the case, at least not in its entirety, the synergy that Nathan and Victor have is pleasant since it demonstrates the evolution of the trust that can exist between a couple of people to become friends; I will highlight Nathan a little more since he feels moderately deeper due to the departure of his brother and how this affected him, as well as the fact that he has a certain degree of growth as he learns about his mistakes so as not to make them again; something similar happens with Chloe, although it is not extremely complex, there is a certain degree of context and justification for her character making the trio of protagonist characters complete in an interesting way. Unfortunately the antagonists do not enjoy the same qualities, one is a rich man obsessed with restoring the honor of his family and the other is what seems to be a psychopathic mercenary, nothing to highlight about them, they are flat and boring as the fuck.
Sinceramente no esperaba que este apartado fuese tan destacable debido a que me esperaba la típica historia lineal en dónde los protagonistas tienen uno que otro tropiezo y al final logran sus objetivos, este no es el caso, al menos no en su totalidad, es agradable la sinergia que tienen Nathan y Victor puesto que demuestra la evolución de la confianza que puede haber entre un par de personas hasta convertirse en amigos; destacaré un poco más a Nathan ya que se siente medianamente más profundo debido a la partida de su hermano y en como esto le afecto, así como también el hecho de que tiene cierto grado de crecimiento al ir aprendiendo sobre sus errores para no cometerlos nuevamente; algo similar sucede con Chloe, si bien no es sumamente compleja se da cierto grado de contexto y justificación para su carácter haciendo que el trío de personajes protagónicos se complete de forma interesante. Desgraciadamente los antagonistas no gozan de las mismas cualidades, uno es un rico obsesionado con restaurar el honor de su familia y la otra es lo que parece ser una mercenaria psicópata, nada que destacar sobre ellos, son planos y aburridos como el carajo.
Uncharted is a good film that is very interesting for the handling it has of its narrative full of plot twists and mysteries that make it much more interesting, it has protagonists who are more interesting than it might seem at first, how not everything is perfect sins in fact have the most simple antagonists, generic and boring that may exist. All this mentioned above makes the film deserve a rating of 4 stars out of 7, I have to admit that after finishing watching the movie I really wanted to play the video game.
Uncharted es una buena película que resulta muy interesante por el manejo que tiene de su narrativa plagada de giros argumentales y misterios que la hacen mucho más interesante, tiene unos protagonistas que resultan más interesantes de lo que podría parecer en un primer momento, cómo no todo es perfecto peca del hecho tener a los antagonistas más simplones, genéricos y aburridos que pueda haber. Todo esto mencionado previamente hace que el filme se merezca una calificación de 4 estrellas de 7, he de admitir que después de terminar de ver la película me dieron muchas ganas de jugar al videojuego.

Sam y Víctor se conocen en una coctelería donde trabaja Sam, donde Víctor reconoce las habilidades innatas de un ladro profesional, puesto que Víctor le hace una petición que difícilmente Nate rechazara, ya que al parecer su hermano Sam trabajo con él hace años, pero esto le causa una cierta desconfianza a Nate, porque su hermano Sam está desaparecido desde hace muchos años.

Observaremos que en esta película hay muchas traiciones, ambición y sobre todo muchos problemas, a pesar de que en todo momento nos cause mucha desconfianza algunos personajes principales en esta historia, no todos son los que aparenta ser, así que nuestro amigo Nate deberá de confiar mucho en su sentido de percepción para detectar quien lo traicionara y quien no.

Nuestros amigos deberán de visitar la ciudad de Barcelona (España) para encontrar una de las pistas que revelaran la ubicación del tesoro de Magallanes, hay conoceremos a otro miembro más de la banda llamada Chloe Fazer, una maestra ladrona que ayuda a encontrar dicha pista en la ciudad, aunque esta chica es una mujer que desde el comienzo no inspira confianza, puesto que nuestro amigo Nate tendrá que vivir momentos muy desconfiados para poder encontrar el tesoro.
Victor, Nate y Chloe deberán de trabajar en equipo si quieren encontrar el tesoro más grande del mundo, pero esto conlleva mucho a la desconfianza, pelea entre equipo y sobre todo muchos problemas de parte de la familia Moncada, ya que sus generaciones pasadas llevan años en búsqueda de este valioso tesoro.

Este Film es muy bueno, honestamente, me gusta como los actores interpretan muy bien sus papeles, comparado con otras películas que he visto del reciente año, esta es la que más me ha gustado de este género.
Toda la búsqueda lleva a un solo punto, donde es aquí donde se podrá descubrir quien es el traidor del equipo y quien es el que llevara a Nate al siguiente nivel de ser un caza tesoros.

También dejaré una pequeña crítica positiva de lo que se puede apreciar en este film.
La actuación de los actores en esta película de verdad que es admirable, el misterio y la incógnita que tendremos desde el comienzo de la película hasta el final es lo que nos dejara enganchados a ella, el desespero en saber quién será el traidor es angustiante, por no mencionar los puzles que Magallanes dejo por el mundo para poder localizar el tesoro más grande del mundo.
Quiero destacar también de que no me considero un crítico profesional, solo doy mi punto de vista de lo que más me agrado de este film.

Its director Ruben Fleischer (Venom), and the producers took some licenses to make it a film, it would not only appeal to fanatic players of this game, but also to viewers who like action and adventure films.
Hola amigos, bienvenidos a mi blog, hace poco vi esta película que es la adaptación de un juego de Naughty Dog, de PlayStation, del mismo nombre. Pocas veces una cinta logra adaptarse tan bien a la historia original bien sea de una novel o un libro, pero para lo que jugamos este juego alguna vez debemos admitir que es casi fiel al juego con algunas excepciones. Su director Ruben Fleischer (Venom), y los productores se tomaron algunas licencias para hacerla una cinta, no solo atrajera a los jugadores fanáticos de este juego, sino a los espectadores que gustan de cintas de acción y aventuras.

En su aventura lo acompaña Mark Wahlberg (Víctor Sullivan), un amigo de su hermano, quién no ha visto en años y que le dice que lo ayude a encontrar el tesoro y así encontrara a su hermano desaparecido. Como en toda historia no puede faltar un villano este es Antonio Banderas (Santiago Moncada) quién se cree con derecho a poseer el tesoro porque perteneció a sus antepasados.

También nos encontramos con otros dos personajes que son relevantes en esta cinta Sophia Ali (Chloe Frazer), quién era compañera de Víctor y Tati Gabrielle (Bradoock), una asesina asueldo y también buscadora de tesoros. Cada uno de estos personajes nos harán estar pegados a la pantalla con escenas de acción y luchas espectaculares como nos tienen acostumbrados las grandes producciones cine. Es una cinta sin giros o acertijos que te hagan pensar, todo fluye de manera rápida y ni te das cuenta que dura 115 minutos.
In my opinion this film, although it is not a cinematic masterpiece, is a film that manages to keep the viewer attentive to the plot and enjoy it, with solid performances and fast action scenes. It is not faithful to the video game in its entirety, but it is a good adaptation for PlayStation to venture with its characters into the world of cinema as the comics have done. Will there be other sequels to this movie and more adventures with Nathan Drake? I think that it is an opportunity that PlayStation will not miss and it is already doing it with other of its games, Halo, which was recently launched successfully.
En mi opinión esta cinta, aunque no es una obra maestra del cine, es una película que logra mantener al espectador atento a la trama y que lo disfrute, con actuaciones solidas y escenas de acción rápidas. No es fiel al video juego en su totalidad, pero es una adaptación buena para que PlayStation incursione con sus personajes en el mundo del cine como lo han hecho los comics. ¿Habrá otras secuelas de está película y más aventuras con Nathan Drake? Creo que sí es una oportunidad que PlayStation no perderá y ya la está haciendo con otros de sus juegos, Halo, que recientemente se lanzó con éxito.
Uncharted is without a doubt the beginning for the characters from the games that we love to come to the fore in the cinema and be like the characters from Marvel or DC. We will see if the writers, producers, directors involved in these projects to bring video game characters to life, manage to capture movie lovers with charming, charismatic and adventurous characters that do not make you take off your seats. In my opinion so far it's a good first step, with what they've done, but the characters still lack a bit.
Uncharted, es sin lugar a duda el comienzo para que los personajes de los juegos que nos encantan salgan a la palestra en el cine y sean como los personajes de Marvel o DC. Veremos si los guionistas, productores, directores involucrados en estos proyectos de darle vida a personajes de video juegos, logran captar a los amantes del cine con personajes encantadores, carismáticos y aventureros que no te hagan despegar de tus butacas. En mi opinión hasta ahora es un buen primer paso, con lo que han hecho, pero aún les falta un poco a los personajes.
Seeing this movie, I liked it, if I have to say something negative it is that I think it lacked that touch of enigma and mystery to solve the map, it was all very easy and fast. I personally love trying to solve the clues in this type of film, and I think that, like me, many other people do the same, in some way this makes you more attentive to the development of the plot. Despite this, the film is worth watching if you are looking to entertain yourself and have a good time. If you go with that intention, this is your movie and I recommend you see it.
Ver esta película, me gusto, si debo decir algo negativo es que creo que le falto ese toque de enigma y misterio para resolver el mapa, fue todo muy fácil y rápido. Me encanta en lo personal en este tipo de cintas, tratar de resolver las pistas y creo que como yo muchas otras personas igual, de alguna forma esto hace que estés más atenta al desarrollo de la trama. A pesar de ello la cinta vale la pena de ver si buscas entretenerte y pasar un buen rato. Si vas con esa intención esta es tu película y te recomiendo verla.
Recién ayer tuve la oportunidad de ver esta película en donde la premisa principal es la búsqueda de un tesoro y la cual está basada lógicamente en el juego que lleva el mismo nombre de la casa de la PlayStation y Sony. Tenía ganas de verla porque de buenas a primeras ver que algunos de sus protagonistas son Tom Holland, Mark Wahlberg y Antonio Banderas nos hace pensar, y basándonos en la historia del videojuego, que será una film lleno de buena acción cosa que en efecto no nos equivocamos.

De las cosas también un poco interesantes era ver si Holland era capaz de poder quitarse de encima su personaje de Spiderman un rato y verlo en otro papel. Pero por el contexto de la historia en esta película lo vemos hacer casi lo mismo: acrobacias, enfrentamientos cuerpo a cuerpo, ser el personaje bueno, y participar en escenas de acción que son realmente buenas. Así que no, si creen que van a encontrar algo diferente no es el caso. Y ojo, no lo digo de nada manera, es solo una observación. Así que nada, hablemos un poco de lo que es este nuevo titulo de Sony.

Esta afición es gracias a su hermano quien desde muy pequeño compartía con Nathan la afición por lo desconocido y por las leyendas que hay detrás de los grandes eventos históricos. Uno de esos eventos que los movían a ambos era encontrar el tesoro perdido de Fernando de Magallanes, era la misión que siempre soñaron hacer juntos.

Esta es la típica película que aunque sean genéricas y básicas siempre van a entretener. En esta en particular desde el primer minuto ya logra engancharte de una manera tal que se hace muy difícil que desde ahí pierdas sintonía con la historia. A medida que la iba viendo no se porque se me venía a la mente la película "El codigo Da Vinci" y todas las de esa saga porque siento que hay cierto parecido en ellas. Se acogen a referencias y hechos históricos para crear con base en ellos una fantasía o no, porque la verdad es difícil saber si de verdad existe esa cantidad de oro, que termina siendo de lo más realista y totalmente creíble.
This is the typical movie that even if they are generic and basic they will always entertain. In this particular one, from the first minute it manages to hook you in such a way that it is very difficult to lose tune with the story. As I was watching it, I don't know why the movie "The Da Vinci Code" and all the movies of that saga came to my mind because I feel that there is a certain resemblance in them. They use references and historical facts to create a fantasy based on them or not, because the truth is difficult to know if that amount of gold really exists, which ends up being very realistic and totally credible.
Siempre me van a gustar las películas de este estilo porque casi todas tienen un toque místico y misterioso que por una extraña razón te atrapa sin saberlo y Uncharted no escapa de eso. Buscar pistas, viajar de ciudad en ciudad, descifrar acertijos, encontrar objetos valiosos que al final son puentes para llegar a otros, linajes familiares y derechos ancestrales son algunas de las cosas que se hacen presente en esta entrega y las cuales, para mi, siempre van a hacer un plus y me van a llamar la atención.
I'm always going to like movies of this style because almost all of them have a mystical and mysterious touch that for some strange reason traps you without knowing it and Uncharted doesn't escape from that. Searching for clues, traveling from city to city, deciphering riddles, finding valuable objects that in the end are bridges to reach others, family lineages and ancestral rights are some of the things that are present in this installment and which, for me, will always be a plus and will catch my attention.
Pero no todo queda allí. Tom y Mark son actores a los que por una extraña razón se les da bien el ser graciosos y a lo largo de la trama eso se nota, además de que se complementan muy bien. No es una comedia pero esos toques en los comentarios y frases le dan frescura a la historia y sacan una que otra risa. Me sucede lo mismo con Santiago Moncada (Antonio Banderas) que a pesar de ser el "villano" acá, es imposible que te lo tomes en serio; no vemos nada gracia en su personaje, es más, es bastante detestable la verdad pero es esa marca invisible que algunos actores llevan consigo.
But that's not all. Tom and Mark are actors who for some strange reason are good at being funny and throughout the plot that shows, plus they complement each other very well. Mucha acción, pero mucha y con grandes escenas es de los atractivos de esta película, me atrevería a decir que es de los factores más importantes que verán y que más los van a impresionar. Creo que en ese aspecto la película lo logró con creces, no con una sino con todas las escenas que así lo requerían. Una búsqueda de un tesoro de la mano de impresionantes escenas de acción, que más se puede pedir?... Y si a todo eso le agregamos ciertos "plot twist" que hay a lo largo de la trama, la película termina siendo una muy buena opción. Porque si, cuando estos cambios en el hilo de la trama suceden pueden ser muy buenos o muy malos, en este caso si bien algunos podían pecar de obvios hubo otros que sinceramente no los ves venir.
A lot of action, but a lot and with great scenes is one of the attractions of this film, I would dare to say that it is one of the most important factors that you will see and that will impress you the most. I believe that in that aspect the film succeeded with flying colors, not with one but with all the scenes that required it. A treasure hunt with impressive action scenes, what more could you ask for...? And if to all that we add certain "plot twists" throughout the plot, the film ends up being a very good choice. Because yes, when these changes in the plot thread happen they can be very good or very bad, in this case if some of them could be obvious there were others that you honestly don't see them coming.
Si hablamos de los personajes como tal hay que decir que Tom Holland estuvo a la altura. Todo el peso de la película estuvo en sus hombros y en mi opinión no defrauda nunca. Es un actor joven por lo que todas esas escenas de las que les hablé se ven bien logradas gracias a su capacidad, no es un personaje muy profundo porque la película no es así, pero se agradece que cuando había que ponerse serio esa pequeña vena de actor se hace notar. Mark para mi no es protagonista, es un actor secundario que acompaña a Tom. No es un mal personaje pero es irrelevante para mi, al lado de Holland pierde mucha fuerza.
If we talk about the characters as such it must be said that Tom Holland was up to the task. All the weight of the film was on his shoulders and in my opinion he never disappoints. He is a young actor so all those scenes I told you about are well achieved thanks to his ability, it is not a very deep character because the film is not like that, but it is appreciated that when he had to get serious that little vein of actor is noted. Mark for me is not a protagonist, he is a supporting actor who accompanies Tom. He is not a bad character but he is irrelevant for me, next to Holland he loses a lot of strength.
Que me decepcionó? - los villanos, los malos, los antagonistas. Los encargados de ese departamento eran Antonio Banderas y Tati Gabrielle y la verdad es que para mi les faltaron kilos y kilos de relevancia y fuerza a esos personajes, honestamente no me gustaron. Darle un personaje así a una actriz que mayormente le hemos visto en series fue algo atrevido y creo que eso se notó en la pantalla. Es una lastima porque si la contraparte de Tom hubiese sido un personaje mucho mejor elaborado, la película hubiese sido un 9 seguro.
What disappointed me? - The villains, the bad guys, the antagonists. The ones in charge of that department were Antonio Banderas and Tati Gabrielle and the truth is that for me they lacked kilos and kilos of relevance and strength to those characters, honestly I didn't like them. Giving such a character to an actress that we have mostly seen in series was a bit daring and I think it showed on the screen. It's a shame because if Tom's counterpart had been a much better crafted character, the movie would have been a 9 for sure.
Pero en fin, ese hecho no opaca que estamos ante un film muy entretenido y bueno que tiene muchas cualidades que hacen que uno como espectador no se aburra ni pierda el interés. Si alguna vez jugaste este titulo en la Play pues sería bueno que le eches un vistazo a la película, no se si es una fiel copia pero no está nada mal. Buena acción, adrenalina, contexto histórico el cual para mi siempre es un atractivo en estas historias y el misterio que rodea comúnmente buscar un tesoro son cosas que hacen que recomiende esta película sin mucha duda.
But anyway, that fact does not overshadow the fact that we are facing a very entertaining and good film that has many qualities that make you as a viewer not get bored or lose interest. If you ever played this title on the Play it would be good to take a look at the movie, I do not know if it is a faithful copy but it is not bad at all. Good action, adrenaline, historical context which for me is always an attraction in these stories and the mystery that commonly surrounds the search for treasure are things that make me recommend this movie without much doubt.
7.5/10 porque cumple expectativas, fue todo lo que más o menos esperaba encontrar. Salvo un par de desilusiones, la película se deja ver fácilmente en sus casi 2 horas de duración. Como siempre les dejo el tráiler para la chequeen y se dejen atrapar por el oro perdido en tierras lejanas.

El mundo del cine ofrece diversidad de estilos y géneros para las diferentes películas con las que nos podemos encontrar, obedeciendo a los gustos diversos, así que es indescriptible las posibilidades de este arte; en este caso, en la presente reseña daré mi opinión sobre una película de aventura bastante reciente: "Uncharted".
Generalmente las películas basadas en videojuegos no son mi preferencia, pero comparto mi tiempo libre con mi pequeña hija y ella me explicó que por ser una adaptación de un famoso juego conocido quería que miráramos este film, así que preparadas nos dispusimos a ello.
The world of cinema offers a diversity of styles and genres for the different films that we can find, obeying the diverse tastes, so it is indescribable the possibilities of this art; in this case, in this review I will give my opinion on a fairly recent adventure film: "Uncharted".
Generally movies based on videogames are not my preference, but I share my free time with my little daughter and she explained to me that since it is an adaptation of a famous game she wanted us to watch this film, so we were ready.
Inmediatamente reconocí a Tom Holland, quien protagoniza esta película, puedo afirmar que me gusta ver cuando los famosos superhéroes pueden quitarse el traje e interpretar otros papeles de una manera increíble, esto quiere decir que no encontramos al increíble Hombre Araña en esta película.
En esta película: Fuera del Mapa, encontramos a otro Tom Holland, lo que me parece genial porque a diferencia de otros actores que no pueden dejar de personificar algunos estereotipos este chico se destaca en esta película por mostrarnos un carácter diferente , una personalidad única, asumiendo el rol que “Natan Drake” necesitaba.
My surprise:
I immediately recognized Tom Holland, who stars in this movie, I can say that I like to see when famous superheroes can take off the suit and play other roles in an amazing way, this means that we don't find the amazing Spider-Man in this movie.
In this movie: Off the Map, we find another Tom Holland, which I think is great because unlike other actors who can't stop personifying some stereotypes this guy stands out in this movie for showing us a different character, a unique personality, assuming the role that "Natan Drake" needed.
La trama:
En cuanto a la trama de la película puedo decir qué es diferente, no usual, refrescante y que a pesar de que existen algunas escenas con algo de violencia estas escenas no son explícitas, por tanto me dio buena impresión la forma como es llevada a la acción y la aventura, hasta con un poco de gracia.
Por supuesto que al ser una película basada en un juego debemos esperar mucho de fantasía, me recordó a las exploraciones en películas como “Indiana Jones o hasta el Código Da Vinci” pero de una manera fresca. Escenas que siguen una secuencia ideal, persecuciones, destrezas, gente con un perfil de inteligencia elevada.
El motivo por el cual los protagonistas de esta película se encuentran inmersos en una búsqueda “fuera del mapa” es interesante desde cierto aspecto, porque le da un toque de realidad en medio de un mundo creado de manera fantástica para este trama.
Plot:
As for the plot of the movie I can say that it is different, not usual, refreshing and although there are some scenes with some violence these scenes are not explicit, therefore I had a good impression of the way it leads to action and adventure, even with a little bit of grace.
Of course being a movie based on a game we should expect a lot of fantasy, it reminded me of the explorations of movies like "Indiana Jones or even the Da Vinci Code" but in a fresh way. Scenes that follow an ideal sequence, chases, skills, people with a high intelligence profile.
The reason why the protagonists of this movie are immersed in an "off the map" quest is interesting from a certain point of view, because it gives a touch of reality in the middle of a world created in a fantastic way for this plot.
Otra cosa que me llamó la atención fue la actuación de “Antonio Banderas” qué te deja ver diferente, más malvado, más con clase, algo positivo para la película porque no toma un papel protagónico pero es una pieza importante. Me pareció excelente su participación.
Algo que sin duda amé, fue el dibujo el fondo de esta película, lo bonito de algunas imágenes que me recordaron que algunas películas famosas de piratas o de fantasías a nivel de “Disney” quizá por los efectos de los grandes barcos y tesoros.
Another thing that caught my attention was the performance of "Antonio Banderas" which makes you see a different, more evil, more classy, something positive for the film because it does not take a leading role but is an important piece. I thought his participation was excellent.
Something I certainly loved, was the background drawing of this film, the beauty of some images that reminded me of some famous pirate movies or "Disney" level fantasies, maybe because of the effects of the big ships and treasures.
La amistad y las aventuras entre Nathan Drake y Víctor Sullivan junto a los otros personajes femeninos de la película es una buena combinación, resulta que entre villanos, interesados, amigos o aliados por un momento nos hacen dudar.
No puedo comparar la película con el juego debido a que en lo personal no tuve la oportunidad de conocer o jugar este juego, pero disfrute la película, esto es emocionante porque enfocaron muy bien la trama, el contexto, al final hasta nos muestran un mensaje de solidaridad en una especie de amistad que surge entre los personajes.
The friendship and adventures between Nathan Drake and Victor Sullivan along with the other female characters in the movie is a good combination, it turns out that between villains, stakeholders, friends or allies for a moment make us doubt.
I can not compare the movie with the game because personally I did not have the opportunity to know or play this game, but I enjoyed the movie, this is exciting because they focused very well the plot, the context, at the end they even show us a message of solidarity in a kind of friendship that arises between the characters.
Puedo decir que podemos pasar un tiempo agradable mirando esta creación cinematográfica, sin tener mucha ambición de un mensaje profundo de transformación personal, es simple acción y aventura de manera fantástica.
En líneas generales la película me gustó porque tiene un poco de secretos, misterios y nos enseña a encontrar un camino a todo, así que pienso que hasta de las películas de las cuales solo esperamos un momento agradable podemos tener un poco más. Tengo que recomendar tener las palomitas a la mano y pasar un rato agradable “fuera del mapa”.

I can say that we can spend a pleasant time watching this film creation, without having much ambition for a deep message of personal transformation, it is simple action and adventure in a fantastic way.
Overall I liked the movie because it has a little bit of secrets, mysteries and teaches us to find a way to everything, so I think that even from movies from which we only expect a nice moment we can have a little bit more. I have to recommend to have the popcorn at hand and have a nice time "off the map".

A couple of months ago I had the opportunity to see (and I know you did too) a Netflix original movie called Red Notice starring Ryan Reinolds, Gal Gadot and Dwayne Johnson, in a nutshell it was used from a heist movie that took certain archaeological elements and historical to narrate a simple but fun adventure that worked perfectly for a light viewing but did not support any form of criticism or really demanding.
I bring up this film because despite its mediocrity it was difficult to reject its premise and how its level of quality fit in with everything we expected from it.
The point is that despite the fact that Uncharted shares many similarities with this work (Not only in terms of objective quality but with respect to its aesthetics, themes, rhythm and humor) I feel that it is fair to evaluate it under slightly higher standards than ever. manages to comply.
It was not an easy task, Uncharted derives from an acclaimed video game franchise created by Naughty Dog more than ten years ago exclusively for the PlayStation 3, clearly inspired by other titles such as Tomb Raider or Indiana Jones herself within the seventh art... Because if your initial statement and your main point of attraction is that you are “playing a movie”, extracting one of these elements that make you unique ends up making you someone else in the crowd… Like Red Notice.
And I don't want to be misunderstood, Uncharted manages to be quite entertaining, it has nice characters and its finale is totally spectacular... but at the same time, this is something that many more movies can contribute.
From the sure but monotonous presence of Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg in the leading roles to a direction without personality, Uncharted is a film that intends to sell us a future series of films without studying whether there are enough incentives in the short term to merit our viewing, capturing in largely seen in its interactive counterparts without taking the time to assess whether it's even worth it, and though it approaches certain factors slightly differently (for freshness, I suppose) it never has the courage to stand alone as a unique product.

Hace un par de meses tuve la oportunidad de ver (Y sé que ustedes también) una película original de Netflix llamada Red Notice protagonizada por Ryan Reinolds, Gal Gadot y Dwayne Johnson, en pocas palabras se trataba de una heist movie que tomaba ciertos elementos arqueológicos e históricos para narrar una aventura simple pero divertida que funcionaba perfectamente para un visionado ligero pero no soportaba ninguna forma de criticismo realmente exigente.
Traigo a colación este filme porque a pesar de su mediocridad era difícil rechazar su premisa y como su nivel de calidad encajaba con todo lo que esperábamos de ella.
La cuestión es que a pesar de que Uncharted comparte muchísimas similares con esta obra (No solo en términos de calidad objetiva sino con respecto a su estética, temas, ritmo y humor) siento que es justo evaluarla bajo unos estándares un poco más altos que nunca logra cumplir.
No tenía una tarea nada sencilla, Uncharted deriva de una aclamada franquicia de videojuegos creada por Naughty Dog hace más de diez años de forma exclusiva para el PlayStation 3, claramente inspirada por otros títulos como Tomb Raider o la misma Indiana Jones dentro del séptimo arte… desde sus inicios hasta la actualidad ha sido un éxito consistente, que mezclaba de forma orgánica los rompecabezas y acertijos con acción desmedida en escenarios hermosos, a la vez que aprovechaba las capacidades técnicas de las consolas en donde se estrenaba cada uno de sus ojos.
En el plano narrativo los videojuegos no tienen mucho que destacar, están plagados de personajes entrañables y conflictos decentes, pero no son precisamente obras que recaigan en sus propias sinopsis. A la hora de adaptar un filme con todos estos elementos esto supone un problema bastante grande, ya que tenemos una serie de videojuegos que funcionan muy bien dentro de su formato pero que se van a ver afectos por cualquier forma de adaptación. ¿Por qué? Porque si tu statement inicial y tu punto de atracción principal es que estas “jugando una película” extraer uno de estos elementos que te hacen único terminan convirtiéndote en alguien más del montón… Como Red Notice.
Y no quiero que me malinterpreten, Uncharted logra ser bastante entretenida, cuenta con personajes agradables y su secuencia finale a totalmente espectacular… pero a la vez, esto es algo que muchas más películas pueden aportar.
Desde la segura pero monótona presencia de Tom Holland y Mark Wahlberg en los roles protagonistas hasta una dirección sin personalidad, Uncharted es un filme que pretende vendernos una futura serie de películas sin estudiar si a corto plazo existen suficientes incentivos para ameritar nuestro visionando, captura en buena medida lo visto en sus contrapartes interactivas sin tomarse un tiempo para evaluar si siquiera vale la pena y aunque aborda ciertos factores de manera ligeramente diferente (Para dar frescura, supongo) nunca tiene la valentía necesaria para erigirse como un producto único.
Es una perpetración de un viejo prejuicio en donde los videojuegos nunca funcionan bien como películas, decepcionante considerando lo fácil que aparentaba ser adaptarla.

Hola Hivers amantes de las películas y series, en esta ocasión quiero comentarles sobre una película que he visto hace poco, en mi regreso a las salas de cine, es una película bastante atractiva visualmente de las que considero “comerciales”, es una producción reciente y que cuyo elenco puede captar la mirada de los fanáticos del cine. En esta oportunidad quiero escribir sobre Uncharted.
Esta producción estadounidense cuenta con poco más de 110 minutos, podemos catalogarla dentro del género de acción y aventuras, es una película basada en la búsqueda de un tesoro, un género que nos recuerda grandes clásicos del cine.
Sinopsis:
Nathan Drake es un joven con el sueño de encontrar el mayor tesoro escondido, ante la falta de recursos ha dejado ese sueño a un lado. Todo cambia cuando conoce a Sully y emprende una aventura alrededor del mundo para conseguir un tesoro oculto por varios siglos.
Muchos de nosotros disfrutamos este tipo de películas de búsqueda del tesoro, en e cine encontramos varias películas que de alguna manera han tocado al espectador. En lo particular me agrada la emoción que nos muestra este estilo de películas, normalmente con situaciones peligrosas o un duelo contra los antagonistas que por supuesto, también desean el tesoro.
Además de la acción y las emociones quelas escenas ofrecen me agrada cuando la búsqueda resulta ser un misterio, algo difícil de resolver y que no cualquiera puede tener la capacidad de resolver los acertijos, en lo particular disfruto estos aspectos que nos dan un momento para pesar al mismo tiempo que nos dan algunos curiosos datos sobre la historia.
Pienso que es uno de los géneros más comerciales hoy en día, si a esto le sumamos un buen conjunto de efectos especiales y un buen reparto, seguramente la película puede ser vista por muchas personas.
Esta película nos lleva a una historia que me recuerda un poco la película protagonizada por Nicolas Cage llamada National Treasure, es un aroma similar debido a que el tesoro es un enigma que deben resolver con pistas de la historia, no solo eso, también la historia nos llevará alrededor del mundo descubriendo los indicios, que, a su vez, nos llevará a otros indicios y así se llegará hasta el final. Si me preguntan si National Treasure me gustó en el año 2007 les diré que sí, soy el tipo de persona que le agradan las emociones de este género, además, de conocer un poco de historia, si a eso le añadimos un toque conspirativo, es una mezcla que me parece interesante.
A pesar de que realizo una comparación con National Treasure, Uncharted cuenta con diferencias muy marcadas, el guion es mas simple y entendible, es un poco más directo y donde quizás los enigmas los resuelven un poco más fácil, sobre todo para el personaje interpretado por Tom Holland.
Otra diferencia muy marcada que propone esta película es esa sensación de desconfianza que poco a poco se va introduciendo en el film, este aspecto de lo mas remarcado en el film, aun siendo más relevante que el desafío intelectual que representa la búsqueda del tesoro.
¿El Argumento es lo Suficientemente Bueno Para Recordar Esta Película?
Las películas actuales se basan en las ganancias que producen, eso creo que no es un secreto para nadie, el uso incesante de los efectos especiales son uno de esos pilares que sostiene la industria, sin embargo, para muchos de nosotros unos de los aspectos claves para recordar una película por mucho tiempo va más allá de la espectacularidad visual que nos ofrece el film. La estructura argumental y narrativa para mi son aspectos que si son bien desarrollados y ejecutados obtendremos un film que recordaremos, aun si no posee millonarios efectos visuales.
Uncharted nos propone una historia algo simple para un misterio tan enigmático, pienso que la trama es liviana y de fácil digestión para los espectadores, algo que ocurre muy frecuentemente en este tipo de películas “comerciales” donde lo primordial es el efecto de entretener y de llenar las cajas registradoras. Pienso que esta película le faltó profundidad y un desarrollo un poco más sorpresivo, que se saliera de las típicas líneas de los guionistas norteamericanos, pero quizás sea mucho pedir.
Es un film que al final de cuentas no propone nada nuevo en su desarrollo, un misterio que debía resolverse y que se complementa con efectos especiales y escenas medianamente emocionantes.
Algo en que siempre estas películas “comerciales” tienen en común es en la suerte exagerada de los protagonistas, momentos en que por obra del destino la mala suerte recae contra el perseguidor del protagonista y lo deja fuera de combate (en el mejor de los casos), algo que siempre me ha parecido risible de este tipo de producciones.
Efectos Especiales
Así como lo mencioné anteriormente la película cuenta con varias secuencias de efectos especiales, la verdad es de muy buena calidad, pero se introducen muy bien en la película, al punto de no llegar a exagerar en cuanto a este aspecto, algo que me pareció positivo y que a pesar de ciertas escenas no se aleja mucho de la realidad.
En esta película contamos con la actuación de Tom Holland, Mark Wahlberg y Antonio Banderas. Unos nombres que pueden captar la atención de los espectadores, sobre todo con Tom Holland, uno de los actores que se encuentra en este momento en la cúspide de la industria, creo que ver esta película y siendo del género de acción y aventuras de alguna manera nos recuerda sus actuaciones como Spiderman.
Mark Wahlberg realiza la interpretación de un personaje muy cómodo para él, pareciéndose a otros personajes de películas anteriores, con esa misma esencia de idiota, sin embargo, realiza un buen trabajo.
Mi decepción se encuentra en el personaje interpretado por Antonio Banderas, más que por la actuación es por interpretar a un personaje que en un principio parece tener potencial pero que se va desvaneciendo poco a poco y a mi parecer decepciona rotundamente como antagonista.
Esta película “comercial” cumple con lo prometido, que es entretener a los espectadores de principio a fin, aun con una trama línea y con pocas sorpresas, proponiendo un poco de más de lo mismo, sin embargo, la ejecución complementada con los personajes interpretados por actores de primer nivel además de buena calidad visual y efectos especiales, termina siendo una película entretenida.
No es quizás una película para recordar por mucho tiempo ni para volver al cine a verla, pero nos entretiene y hace sonar las cajas registradoras de la casa productora, así que es un juego que termina en tablas.
Es una película que entretiene, logra ese objetivo tan importante, sin embargo, no es una película sobresaliente que deseamos ver una y otra vez, con un buen potencial pero que se reduce a un entretenimiento simple y de fácil comprensión. Pienso que es una película para ver en una tarde en familia, pero no exageren con sus expectativas.

In particular, I like the excitement that this style of movies show us, usually with dangerous situations or a duel against the antagonists who, of course, also want the treasure.
In addition to the action and thrills that the scenes offer I like it when the quest turns out to be a mystery, something difficult to solve and that not everyone can have the ability to solve the riddles, I particularly enjoy these aspects that give us a moment to weigh while giving us some curious facts about the story.
I think it is one of the most commercial genres nowadays, if we add to this a good set of special effects and a good cast, surely the movie can be seen by many people.
This movie takes us to a story that reminds me a little bit of the movie starring Nicolas Cage called National Treasure, it is a similar scent because the treasure is an enigma that must be solved with clues from history, not only that, also the story will take us around the world discovering the clues, which, in turn, will lead us to other clues and so it will go all the way to the end. If you ask me if I liked National Treasure in 2007, I will say yes, I am the kind of person who likes the thrills of this genre, besides knowing a bit of history, if we add a conspiratorial touch, it is a mixture that I find interesting.
Although I make a comparison with National Treasure, Uncharted has very marked differences, the script is simpler and understandable, it is a little more direct and where perhaps the riddles are solved a little easier, especially for the character played by Tom Holland.
Another very marked difference that this film proposes is that sense of distrust that is gradually introduced in the film, this aspect of the most remarkable in the film, even being more relevant than the intellectual challenge that represents the treasure hunt.
Is the Plot Good Enough to Remember This Movie?
Today's movies are based on the profits they produce, that I think is no secret to anyone, the incessant use of special effects are one of those pillars that sustain the industry, however, for many of us one of the key aspects to remember a film for a long time goes beyond the visual spectacularity that the film offers us. The plot and narrative structure for me are aspects that if they are well developed and executed we will get a film that we will remember, even if it does not have millionaire visual effects.
Uncharted offers a rather simple story for such an enigmatic mystery, I think the plot is light and easy to digest for viewers, something that happens very often in this type of "commercial" films where the main thing is the effect of entertaining and filling the cash registers. I think this film lacked depth and a little more surprising development, which would be out of the typical lines of American screenwriters, but maybe that's too much to ask.
It is a film that in the end proposes nothing new in its development, a mystery that had to be solved and that is complemented with special effects and moderately exciting scenes.
Something that these "commercial" films always have in common is the exaggerated luck of the protagonists, moments in which by fate bad luck falls against the pursuer of the protagonist and leaves him out of combat (in the best of cases), something that I have always found laughable in this type of productions.
Special Effects
As I mentioned before, the film has several sequences of special effects, the truth is of very good quality, but they are introduced very well in the film, to the point of not exaggerating in this aspect, something that I found positive and that despite certain scenes is not far from reality.
In this film we have the performance of Tom Holland, Mark Wahlberg and Antonio Banderas. Names that can capture the attention of viewers, especially with Tom Holland, one of the actors who is currently at the top of the industry, I think watching this movie and being of the genre of action and adventure somehow reminds us of his performances as Spiderman.
Mark Wahlberg performs the interpretation of a character very comfortable for him, resembling other characters from previous films, with that same essence of an idiot, however, he does a good job.
My disappointment is in the character played by Antonio Banderas, more than for the acting is for playing a character that at first seems to have potential but gradually fades away and in my opinion flatly disappoints as an antagonist.
This "commercial" film fulfills its promise, which is to entertain viewers from beginning to end, even with a plot line and few surprises, proposing a little more of the same, however, the execution complemented by the characters played by first class actors plus good visual quality and special effects, ends up being an entertaining film.
It is perhaps not a movie to remember for a long time or to return to the theater to see it, but it entertains us and makes the cash registers of the production house ring, so it's a game that ends in tables.
It's a film that entertains, it achieves that all-important goal, however, it's not an outstanding film that we want to watch over and over again, with good potential but is reduced to simple, easy to understand entertainment. I think it's a movie to watch on a family afternoon, but don't overdo it with your expectations.

Have you ever played the game Uncharted on your Playstation? I haven't! But, as I looked at the trailer for the movie named Uncharted, I got a feeling that this is an adventure movie quite similar to National Treasure (with Nicolas Cage) and maybe a little bit like Tomb Raider and similar movies, and thus I decided to give it a chance. The movie stars Tom Holland, Mark Wahlberg, and Antonio Banders, and those names will most likely give the movie a little boost as well. But, what is the movie all about and is it worth watching?
What is Uncharted all about?
This is 100% similar to National Treasure. Rumors have been heard about a ship of Magellan that was lost packed with gold, but nobody has found it till this day. But, there are some clues hidden here and there that give us a clue that the treasure is still out there. Tom Holland has a great talent for solving riddles and puzzles, but instead of doing so, he is working as a bartender and stealing from clueless people.
One day he is approached by Mark Wahlberg who invites him to join the mission of finding the lost treasure (of which Tom Holland has heard a lot from his brother and during his childhood). The mission starts, and they travel to Barcelona to find more clues as to the whereabouts of the treasure.
You get the story, don't you? Of course, the story has a bad guy, and Antonio Banders is out there to find the treasure before Tom and his partners.
Should I watch Uncharted?
This is quite an amusing movie, but it is very light. It isn't spectacular in any way, and the story is quite lame. But, as an adventure movie with some light action, it works fine. I had a great time watching the movie, but to be honest, the last 20 minutes were just stupid. So, I felt like they managed to ruin the movie with the end as it was just way too stupid, and with so many logical errors that made it hard to enjoy.
However, I might end up watching the movie with my kids (aged 10 or more) one day, as it is quite suitable for kids of that age (with the exception of some throats being slit).
In other words, this is good entertainment if you like the typical adventure movies like Tomb Raider and National Treasure. If you don't, then forget about this movie!

The video game saga was created in 2007, the last installment to date of which was released in 2017. In this regard, and taking up the plot of the film, Uncharted will not be a direct adaptation of any of the plots introduced in the numerous games already published, but will mix elements of several and add new aspects. In fact, his main task will be to introduce us to a young version of Nathan Drake.
