These days, social media is a great place to explore everything. We've seen movies, analyses, and reviews, but now we can enjoy a very good anime that takes this chaotic yet interesting world as a reference. Viral Hit, a teen comedy that faithfully reflects our world. Also known as Kenka Dokugaku in Japanese, presents a fresh and entertaining story that combines shonen elements with the dynamics of the social media world. The plot follows Yoo Hobin, a skinny and seemingly weak high school student who is constantly bullied. Desperate to raise money for his mother's medical bills, Hobin is accidentally recorded while fending off bullies in a rather clumsy but effective manner.

Yoo Hobin: Initially marked by insecurity and low self-esteem, a product of the constant bullying he suffers. He feels powerless and frustrated by his inability to defend himself and help his mother. His motivation to enter the world of online fighting doesn't stem from a desire for violence or recognition, but from a desperate need to earn an income to cover his ailing mother's medical expenses. As the series progresses and he begins to gain fights and followers, the admiration of his audience begins to build his self-confidence. However, this newfound confidence is often mixed with a certain social awkwardness and difficulty processing his growing popularity. Despite his victories, Hobin remains humble and, in many ways, the same insecure boy from the beginning, although now with the ability to defend himself. His internal struggle centers on reconciling his old identity with his new image as a viral fighter, and on how to handle the pressure and expectations of his audience.

Gaeul's character is based on unconditional loyalty and deep empathy for Hobin. She represents the emotional stability in Hobin's life, offering constant support and acting as a grounding anchor amidst the chaotic world of online fighting. Her understanding and caring nature contrasts with the aggressive environment in which Hobin operates. Although she is not a fighter, her strength lies in her emotional support and her ability to see beyond Hobin's fighter image, remembering the kind and needy boy he has always been. Her presence in the story underscores the importance of genuine relationships and emotional support in personal development and overcoming difficulties. She often acts as a voice of reason for Hobin, offering a more balanced perspective and reminding him of his true values.

However, as the anime's story progresses, a somewhat more complex personality is revealed. Behind this unwavering confidence, one perceives a certain emotional coldness and a difficulty in genuinely connecting with others. His interactions are often marked by distance and an apparent lack of empathy toward those he considers weaker. This could suggest a personal history marked by the need to be strong to survive or perhaps experiences that have led him to shut down emotionally.

In terms of animation style, Viral Hit features a very modern and vibrant aesthetic, with striking colors and distinctive character designs. The fight sequences are well-drawn, and I really like them because they feel like you're witnessing great choreography. I think they're very dynamic, managing to convey the intensity of the fights despite Hobin's lack of initial experience. Furthermore, the animation balances action with more everyday, comedic scenes, maintaining a fast-paced and entertaining pace. I really like this contrast between seriousness and comedy because it's noticeable without losing the brilliance of good animation.

Without a doubt, Viral Hit is an anime that stands out for its original premise, a protagonist with an interesting development, secondary characters that complement the plot, and a dynamic and attractive animation style. It's an interesting proposal for those who enjoy stories of personal improvement with a touch of internet culture and fighting. I particularly enjoyed it because I like everything related to social networks, technology, and surveillance. A while ago, a movie called NERV came out that had a similar premise. I think the author took a lot of inspiration from that movie since it touched on the same themes. However, in this anime, the premise has been better utilized, creating a great story. I highly recommend it to the community; it's available on Crunchyroll. I hope you can watch it soon. For now, I'm saying goodbye, and it will be another time.

Hello anime lovers. Today I want to talk to you about an anime adaptation of a not very popular Manhwa that was aired this year. From the genre of action and comedy, this series, based on the original work of Taejun Pak, was produced by the studio Okuruto Noboru. While it is true that it is not one of the best anime I have seen of this genre, I really like how they develop the story, mixing street fights with the world of entertainment media and the internet. It's a work that doesn't stand out much in terms of animation, but it does in terms of character development and story. The anime is already available and you can watch and enjoy it on the Crunchyroll platform. If you are a fan of this kind of anime, I invite you to stay until the end.

Not knowing how to defend himself at all, he puts up with all kinds of mockery and humiliation. But one day, when another colleague who is in charge of recording everything the bully does goes to Shimura's house to ask him to lend him his computer so he can make live broadcasts on his new NewTube channel. However, he goes over the top with our incredulous friend by messing with his mother, who is seriously ill and in the hospital.

Kōta gets angry and for the first time stands up for himself by giving his heavy companion his comeuppance. The next day, they both realize that the broadcast recorded the fight the two had and this one got a lot of views. The partner decides to talk to Shimura so that they both make videos of street fights with bullies and bullies in order to go viral and thus earn a lot of money with the views they get on NewTube. However, our protagonist has no idea about fighting, so he will have to entrust his life to an unknown channel that will teach him how to face opponents much stronger than him with training methods and techniques that he will have to learn in a very short time.

    Trama

    Trailer & Review

Next, I will leave you the trailer of the anime:

    hello@reallygreatsite.com_20240825_182859_0000 (1).png

For an animated adaptation of a not very well known Manhwa, it is excellently done. Although I'm not a big fan of this kind of adaptations, I won't deny that this kind of comics also have very good works that are worth watching and enjoying. Although it has not been as successful as "Solo Leveling", the little relevance that this anime has achieved does not do it justice, being a story that is not based on the typical fantasy story, heroes or popular or talented protagonists; but it is about an ordinary boy who faces bullies to gain visits on the internet. Besides this, the natural way of telling this story makes it entertaining, while it has an acceptable level of humor and a quality of animation that does not leave you indifferent, with its details and style of drawing and movements. In short, an anime that I would not put it as one of the best in the genre of action and street fights, but I do consider it an excellent adaptation, while it is a series worth watching.

    hello@reallygreatsite.com_20240825_182859_0000 (1).png

Let's start talking about the story, which focuses on our protagonist, Kōta Shimura, a boy who does not stand out at all, instead he is constantly being bullied at school and on the internet. Outside of high school, he is a boy who lives alone with his mother, who is sick and lives in the hospital, so he lives working, after school. With almost impossible dreams and a life that is not easy at all, Kōta is the protagonist to whom you can empathize the most, being one more victim of a modern society where fame, money and power is what matters. What strikes me most about this protagonist is not the presentation or life he has, which is very different from what we know from many action and fantasy anime that abound nowadays; but also how he decided to change his life once and for all by risking himself to defend his mother from insults and humiliations that he is already used to receive from himself.

This way of acting of Shimura shows us that, despite showing himself to be a coward, being a skinny guy with no strength and no experience in fighting, he does not let others speak ill of his only family he has, proving to have an honor and something very valuable that drives him to move forward. But what changed his life completely was not only that, but also a sequence of events that made him take advantage of the power of the Internet to make his dreams of earning enough money to get his mother out of the hospital come true. However, for this he will have to face enemies and people much stronger and experienced than him in street fights, which leads him to search among the corners of the Internet for a way to learn quickly how to defend himself. An unknown channel is what in this story would be a miracle in typical movies and series. As surreal as it may seem, the way they explain how to defend yourself and fight without different types of opponents is very interesting. I really admire the determination of the main character, who I repeat does not stand out for having any special ability or gift, but everything he manages to achieve is with pure effort and dedication.

It is clear that, among other moderately remarkable characters in this anime, Kōta Shimura is the one that catches my attention the most because of his great development, going from being the loser of the class to becoming a popular wrestler on the internet. On the other hand, the way they mix the world of training and the internet with the daily life of the teenager and how he can become famous is another detail that really catches my attention, as does the way they explain each step and process to be "successful" and become a "Viral Hit". But, what catches my attention most of all are the fights, after all, since this is where everything comes together in an excellent sequence of fights, with an acceptable animation quality and a beautiful drawing style and movements. All this, added to the excellent sound effects and the catchy soundtrack, makes this anime a journey of endless emotions, always leaving you at the end with the expectation of seeing more and more. In short, this is an anime that doesn't stand out for having the best story, nor the best animation, nor the best protagonist, but it is worth watching if you are a fan of the action genre and street fights.

Personally, I give it a rating of 7.5/10 as far as the action/comedy genre is concerned.

  3. Kenka Dokugaku (Viral Hit) --- was entertaining!@tegoshei703d

A couple months ago, I read the Webtoon version of ***Viral Hit*** and I found it really fun and interesting to read. The art style was to my liking and the story was entertaining. I was expecting quite a lot from the story since the writer was Park Tae-Jun, the creator of *Lookism* and *My Life as a Loser* which I both enjoyed... well, especially the former. :)

I got curious about the anime version, so I gave it a shot... and I don't regret doing so. :)

The story is about a high schooler named Yoo Hobin (Shimura). He's being bullied and often humiliated especially by one of his classmates who is a popular Newtube streamer named Pakgo (Hamaken).

Aside from being a subject for bullying, Hobin's troubles didn't end there. He's patiently working part-time to pay for his mother's hospital bills. He couldn't do anything and just tried to endure everything.
One day, a classmate named Jiksae (Kanegon) was streaming a game in Hobin's house while using his mother's account. Hobin who was about to serve him ramen tripped over a cord and disconnected his classmate's stream. The effect of this situation was the final straw for Hobin. He finally decided to fight back and they ended up having a crazy brawl.
Unknowingly, the cord he tripped over was only for the monitor and their pathetic fight was livestreamed and uploaded on Newtube. It had gone viral which allowed him to earn ten million won from the viewership.

The incident brought these two together and their channel "Viral Hit" was born. Hobin will now take on bullies like Pakgo and other powerful opponents on his way to the top of the streaming world with Jiksae as his cameraman slash manager. Will they survive and rise to the top or will they end up as failures? Feel free to watch it! :)

    [VIDEO SOURCE](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YBw_XInUVXE)

I must say, the fight scenes in the anime are so entertaining to watch... especially because of the background music. It somehow hyped up the scenes. It's just weird to hear their Japanese names in the audio, though. It's because I'm too used to their Korean names from the original Webtoon.

There were small changes and some scenes were cut or shortened, but it's understandable. I hope they include some of my favorite scenes from the Webtoon in the upcoming seasons.

I have high hopes for the upcoming seasons because the story just gets better as it progresses. Can't wait for the other characters to come out soon!
If you enjoyed the anime, I suggest you also read the Webtoon. It has 218 chapters and it's worth a read!
I'll end my post here. See you around! (^^,)/

  4. Viral Hit (Kenka Dokugaku) - Review@workaholic666784d

    source

Anime is already synonymous with Japan, in my opinion, if there is an anime produced by a studio other than Japan I feel uncomfortable watching it, this is just my opinion which has too much of a mindset that anime is only original if it is produced by Japanese people themselves. The story is different when we discuss manga and others, initially, I also thought that only Japan could make Manga that many readers around the world would like, but that all changed after I read the first Manhwa from Korea, called Solo Leveling, which made my mind more open to not being stuck, for one type of manga, from a particular country, we have to explore it more widely because there could be many works from other countries that are also interesting to read, not just manga.

Returning to the topic of anime, when the Manhwa Solo Leveling was made into an anime version, I thought that it would lose its identity or the story would be changed, but it turns out I was wrong. The Solo Leveling anime was executed so well, and because of that, I am increasingly interested in anime adapted from Manhwa. In this post, I will discuss the anime adapted from Manhwa entitled Viral Hit or the anime version entitled Kenka Dokugaku, if you are looking for interesting new anime references To watch, you can read the review I wrote.

Initially, I read the webtoon and felt that the story presented by Viral Hit was related to the conditions of most people, especially school students who were victims of bullying at school. The visuals drawn in this webtoon were very pleasing to the eye and seemed to provide visuals like moving animation. Previously I was just a reader of monotonous and colorless manga, recently I became a fan of the webtoon series and was immersed in it because it was so exciting to read this webtoon.

Tells the story of a student named Hobin who was the victim of bullying by a student in his class named Pakgo, he forced Hobin to want to make up and appear on Pakgo's live Newtube account and continued to be treated like that until he finally he accidentally became famous on newtube because Hobin fought with his cameraman Pakgo at Hobin's house, the fight was recorded live on Newtube which was accessed at Hobin's house, that's the story of the struggle of a bully victim named Hobin to become a content creator on Newtube.

Hobin finally tried to fight the person who had humiliated him and was accidentally recorded live on Newtube making the two of them go viral until the two of them became friends because of this accidental content, the side of the story from the person who bullied made us as viewers play with their emotions while watching the anime or reading the webtoon, the side The strong comedy presented by Viral Hit keeps us from getting bored and continuing to the next episode. From the visual side of the Kenka Dokugaku anime, I have no complaints at all because everything was executed well and properly by Studio Okuruto Noboru.

From the webtoon side, I am also satisfied reading it because I like the details of each depiction, and makes me want to continue reading. The side of the story about the victim of bullying who finally gets the motivation to fight back is the main positive message of Kenka Dokugaku (Viral Hit), we can see how Hobin struggles as a victim when he has to raise money for his mother's medical expenses. Finally, he became a Newtuber due to an unexpected incident, and his content went viral, and managed to earn a lot of money from there. I have been in the position of being a victim of bullying and can more or less understand a little about the struggles we have to go through.

I also like the visuals of the female characters in Viral Hit, the moment when Hobin meets Bomie is my favorite, where the figure of Choi Bomie is depicted as absolutely gorgeous with a beautiful body but not embarrassed to date the nosy Hobin, who is a victim of bullying, which I think is very touching. There is also the figure of Gaeul, who from the start knew how Hobin and Jihyeok struggled in dealing with bullies and developing their Newtube channel, another attractive female figure in Viral Hit, but which annoyed me was Yeo Rumi, who is also a Newtuber who always looks for opportunities in other people's difficulties.

I recommend you to read this Viral Hit webtoon, or you can watch the anime which is still ongoing, because there are many positive, and motivational messages presented in the story of Hobin and his friends in creating Newtube content, don't forget the comedy scenes and climax punchlines that make us happy to enjoy it. Everything I write in this review is purely my opinion as a reader and viewer of Viral Hit, maybe there are some things I don't understand that you don't understand, you can provide input in the comments column.
