Greetings to everyone in the Lifestyle community. Today, I’m stopping by to share another day in my life with you. This time, I want to share one of the loveliest moments I’ve experienced this year: finally seeing my dear friend Alicia again after so long. I believe the last time we met was in 2022—at an art exhibition, which was also a wonderful occasion. So, after all that time, we were finally able to get together.
When I moved to Puerto Ordaz, I couldn't return to Valencia as often as I wanted. In fact, on the few occasions I did visit, my stays were short, and I’d have to rush back. That was the situation until last year, when I decided I needed to travel to Valencia more frequently. That decision changed a lot of things, as I truly missed my family and friends. I’ve kept up that routine this year, and September has been quite a busy month, as I planned visits with several family members and friends. I wasn't able to see Alicia last year because I got a call from the school and had to leave... Tragically, the very next day, her mother, Emma, passed away due to health complications. It was a devastating time, and I wasn't able to be there with her.
Saludos a todos en la comunidad de Lifestyle. El día de hoy me uno por aquí para compartir con ustedes un nuevo día en mi vida. En esta ocasión les quiero compartir uno de los momentos más bonitos que he tenido en este año y es que por fin pude ver nuevamente a mi querida amiga Alicia, a quién tenía muchos años sin ver. Calculo que desde el 2022, cuando nos vimos para una exposición de arte que también fue muy bonito. Así que luego de todo ese tiempo, pudimos reunirnos.
Cuando me mudé a Puerto Ordaz no pude volver tantas veces como quería a Valencia. De hecho, las pocas veces que lo hacía, no duraba mucho tiempo y debía volver corriendo. Todo eso fue así hasta el año pasado,cuando decidí que debía viajar a Valencia más seguido de lo que lo hacía. Y es que eso cambio muchas cosas, porque realmente extrañaba a mi familia y mis amigos. Así que este año he vuelto a hacer lo mismo y pues el mes de septiembre es bastante intenso porque planifique la forma de ver a varios de mis familiares y amigos. A Alicia no la pude ver el año pasado porque justamente me llamaron del colegio y debía ir... Lo malo, es que un día después de eso, su madre, Emma, falleció por complicaciones de salud. Fue algo muy duro y no pude estar con ella.
She has always had a big heart and her family means everything to her, so you can imagine how painful that experience was. Well, a lot has happened since then. I believe we all deserve nothing but pure happiness after such trying times. That’s how I found Alicia, Peter, and little Giovanni (who isn't so little anymore). Peter is Alicia’s husband; he’s a very kind, cheerful, and articulate man, so there was no shortage of laughter and stories. Of course, Alicia and I also had some one-on-one time to catch up on everything (hahaha). Giovanni is a very sweet, kind, and cheerful boy. It truly made me so happy to see them all, to know they are doing well, and to see how, little by little, her pain is transforming into hope for the future. Thanks for everything. Ella siempre fue alguien con un gran corazón y su familia lo es todo, así que ya pueden imaginar lo doloroso que fue eso. Bueno, han pasado muchas cosas. Así que creo que todos merecemos felicidad pura y dura luego de esos momentos tan duros. Así ví a Alicia, Peter y el pequeño Giovanni (quién ahora no es tan pequeñito). Peter es el esposo de Alicia y es alguien muy amable, alegre y elocuente, así que las risas y los cuentos no faltaron. Con ella tuvimos por supuesto, nuestro propio tiempo a solas para ponernos al tanto de nuestras cosas (jajaja). Giovanni es un niño muy dulce, bastante amable y alegre. Compartimos una tarde muy bonita. Realmente me hizo muy feliz verlos a todos, saber que están bien y que poco a poco el dolor de ella, pasa a convertirse en esperanza sobre el futuro.
