Greetings to everyone in the Lifestyle community. Today I’m joining you here to share another day in my life with you. This time, it’s about another rehearsal day at the Canticum Merú Music Academy with the women’s choir. After a few weeks of being unable to attend rehearsals—though I’ve been back for a few days now—I’ve noticed the work the girls have been putting into the Christmas repertoire. For this Christmas, we’re rehearsing several traditional Christmas carols and various songs from around the world that are typically sung during the holiday season. Among them are some sacred songs that are absolutely beautiful, but also a great challenge when it comes to singing them and blending the voices. I find those particularly exciting.
Esas me parecen emocionantes.
I have to say that personally, I really don’t like missing classes, because it’s hard to catch up on everything that happened while I was away. When I was in Valencia, I thought about that a lot, even though I was spending time with my family and friends and dealing with some health issues. Everything has its time. However, when you’re committed to your activities, work, and so on, it’s impossible to completely disconnect from it all. Studying in Valencia was an uphill battle for me because of the situation I mentioned above and the electricity problems. The power outages really left everyone at home exhausted.
Luckily, I’m also a good student, and I try to set aside at least some time each day to listen to the audio recordings and read the sheet music, so with that in mind, I hope to get up to speed with the Christmas songs more quickly. I like the song selection, and there’s not long to go now until the performance on December 9 at the Italian-Venezuelan Center in Guayana. Without further ado, thank you so much for stopping by.
