Hello creative souls!

Hace unos días quise hacer una publicación, pero, aunque mis manos se encontraban en el teclado, mi cabeza estaba en otra parte. Luego del doble terremoto que estremeció a Venezuela quedé con un vacío, quedé ausente.

Ese día preferí soltar todo y relajarme, lo mejor ante cualquier situación es darle tiempo al tiempo y permitir que las heridas sanen.

A few days ago, I wanted to post something, but even though my hands were on the keyboard, my mind was elsewhere. After the twin earthquakes that shook Venezuela, I felt empty and detached.

That day, I decided to let go of everything and relax; the best thing to do in any situation is to give it time and let the wounds heal.

Todo tiene su proceso, pero como dice un dicho ¡la función debe continuar! Por eso después de esa fecha del 24 de junio me aferré a mis agujas y mis hilos y comencé a tejer cosas lindas; fue cuestión de decidir si seguía sumergida en el lamento o continuaba.

En mi iglesia hay una frase que dice “Oración y acción” dos cosas que me permitieron actuar en pro de las personas que lo necesitaban.

Everything has its process, but as the saying goes, “The show must go on!” That’s why, after June 24, I picked up my needles and yarn and started knitting beautiful things; it was a matter of deciding whether to stay stuck in grief or to move forward.

At my church, there’s a saying: “Prayer and action”—two things that enabled me to take action on behalf of those in need.

Por eso hoy quise hacer esta publicación, quise animarme a volver a escribir y decirle al mundo que estamos bien, que estamos luchando para salir adelante y que Venezuela es fuerte y volverá levantarse y renacer de los escombros.

Por eso con entusiasmo en mi corazón les vengo a decir a mis paisanos venezolanos de esta comunidad ¡ANIMO!

That’s why I wanted to write this post today—to give myself the courage to start writing again and to tell the world that we’re doing well, that we’re fighting to move forward, and that Venezuela is strong and will rise again and be reborn from the rubble.

So, with enthusiasm in my heart, I’m here to say to my fellow Venezuelans in this community: STAY STRONG!

Hoy les vengo a presentar a “Campanita” una linda muñequita en amigurumi que se fue hace unos días rumbo a Chile donde una princesa hermosa la disfrutara y de seguro jugara con ella por un buen rato.

Today I’d like to introduce you to “Campanita,” a cute little amigurumi doll who left a few days ago for Chile, where a beautiful little princess will enjoy her and surely play with her for quite a while.

Hacerla fue fácil porque ya tengo la practica con el cuerpo y el cabello, así que me disfruté el proceso con calma, con amor en mi corazón porque esa pequeña niña se lo merece.

Me gustaría contarles un poquito de EMA, ese es su nombre; ella fue una niña deseada no solo por sus padres sino por todo un núcleo familiar, en verdad nunca había visto que toda una familia se uniera en un solo deseo ¡Que Erlis y Nurvis pudieran cumplir su deseo de tener un bebé!

Making it was easy because I already have experience working with the body and hair, so I took my time and enjoyed the process, with love in my heart because that little girl deserves it.

I’d like to tell you a little bit about EMA—that’s her name. She was a child longed for not only by her parents but by her entire extended family. I’d truly never seen an entire family come together with a single wish: that Erlis and Nurvis could fulfill their dream of having a baby!

Por muchos años intentaron todo, luego se fueron a otro país y apenas pudieron económicamente intentaron mas tratamientos y cuando ya no había mas dinero y quedaba la última inseminación artificial, lo único que nos quedo fue la plegaria a Dios, que para nuestra sorpresa fue la oración mas exitosa de todas ¡SI amigos! Con los días Nurvis y Erlis estaban embarazados y todos fuimos felices de ver ese sueño cumplido.

Y aquí esta Ema, ya cumplió un año de vida y es una niña bendecida, amada, sana y consentida.

For many years they tried everything; then they moved to another country, and as soon as they could afford it, they tried more treatments. When there was no more money left and only one last artificial insemination remained, the only thing left for us was to pray to God—and to our surprise, that prayer was the most successful of all! YES, friends! Before long, Nurvis and Erlis were pregnant, and we were all so happy to see that dream come true.

And here’s Ema—she’s already one year old and is a blessed, loved, healthy, and spoiled little girl.

Por eso Ema se merece más que una muñeca, se merece todo el amor del mundo porque es una niña deseada desde el corazón.

Pues bien, dejemos la historia que hay detrás de la muñeca a un lado y hablemos del proceso de elaboración.

Como les dije en otras oportunidades he hecho el cuerpo, les voy a dejar el enlace de esa publicación para que si quieren lo vayan a ver. De Campanita me gustó mucho el vestido con forma de hojas, la combinación de colores, los detalles pequeños que resaltan a simple vista.

That’s why Ema deserves more than just a doll—she deserves all the love in the world because she’s a child who was longed for from the bottom of our hearts.

Well, let’s set aside the story behind the doll for a moment and talk about the crafting process.

As I’ve mentioned before, I’ve already made the body; I’ll leave the link to that post here so you can check it out if you’d like. What I really liked about Tinker Bell was her leaf-shaped dress, the color combination, and the small details that stand out at first glance.

Creo que lo más complicado fueron las alas, pero no es tampoco tan complicado, solo es cuestión de atender el video para no confundirse. En verdad la señora Grettawings los explica muy bien y eso hace fácil que cualquier proyecto sea culminado con éxito.

Pues bien, amigos, de verdad muchas gracias por detenerse un instante a ver esta publicación hecha desde el más sincero amor.

I think the wings were the trickiest part, but it’s not that complicated either—it’s just a matter of paying close attention to the video so you don’t get confused. Grettawings really explains everything very well, and that makes it easy to successfully complete any project.
