🎵 Caladan Brood — City of Azure Fire

It takes over an hour to walk into work each day, which might sound like a long time for some people, but music always helps to keep me occupied.... sometimes loud and shouty, sometimes mellow and relaxing.

Today I was in the mood for some "Epic Black Metal".... think progressive, atmospheric black metal, with a healthy dose of the Lord of the Rings Soundtrack... lots of good album out there, but for me the genre defining album is Echoes of Battle by Caladan Brood

This album is one of my absolute favourites of all time, and it's wild that I saw you also scrobbled tracks from them... pretty obscure, all considered. Fun metal Hive fact... in an old edition of HiQ magazine, there's a picture of me wearing my prized Caladan Brood Echoes of Battle long sleeve 🖤

Just wanted to shout you out as I think this is one of the most gorgeous examples of the genre; Emyn Muil is a Tolkein-inspired adjacent one man project, and Visigoth and Gallowbraid are some of the member's other bands, but if you're in to this, I'm sure you've already gone exploring.

Thanks to @acidyo, as I'm slowly working through all of the scrobble features while plowing away at Hive stuff~

An hour long walk with good music actually sounds like a nice way to start the day 🎶🚶
