El mundo está cada día más lleno de problemas, injusticias, violencia, guerras y de falta de empatía, respeto y amor, nada mejor que el arte y los gatos para traer un poquito de luz y belleza a todo este caos 😺🖌️. Hoy con una nueva práctica para mí reto personal de dibujar gatos, la número 4 😁.

The world is increasingly filled with problems, injustice, violence, war, and a lack of empathy, respect, and love, there is nothing better than art and cats to bring a little light and beauty to all this chaos 😺🖌️. Today, I’m sharing a new practice piece for my personal cat-drawing challenge, this is number 4 😁.

Para el dibujo de hoy utilicé un lápiz, creyones óleo pastel, algunos lápices de colores y un poquito de pintura blanca. El boceto fue muy sencillo y a partir de ahí fue tomando forma.

For today's drawing, I used a pencil, oil pastels, some colored pencils, and a little bit of white paint. The sketch was very simple, and the drawing took shape from there.

Este es un gato de colores claros así que empecé coloreando con un tono rosa pastel las partes donde la piel está mas expuesta como el interior de las orejas y la nariz. Seguidamente usé gris y un poquito de azul celeste para las manchas y algunas otras zonas del pelaje.

This is a light-colored cat, so I started by coloring with a pastel pink shade the areas where the skin is most exposed, such as the inside of the ears and the nose. Next, I used gray and a touch of sky blue for the spots and some other areas of the fur.

Este gato tiene unos expresivos ojos azules, para lograr ese color y la naturalidad de la mirada utilicé azul celeste de fondo y le fui agregando azul oscuro y violeta, recuerden que ningún color de ojos es 100% sólido, todos están compuestos de filamentos y detalles de varios colores y es por eso que no existe un color de ojos repetido o exactamente igual a otro.

This cat has expressive blue eyes, to achieve that color and a natural look, I used a sky-blue base and gradually added dark blue and violet. Remember that no eye color is 100% solid, they are all composed of filaments and details in various colors, which is why no two eye colors are ever exactly alike.

Mientras tanto iba agregando mas detalles en el pelaje del gato como los pelitos y la intensidad de las manchas.

In the meantime, I kept adding more details to the cat's fur, such as the individual hairs and the intensity of the markings.

Unos pequeños puntos de luz con pintura blanca y los ojos de este gatito se llenan de vida y realismo dándole mucha fuerza a su mirada y a su expresión en general, pareciera que nos estuviese hablando.

A few small dots of white paint bring this kitten's eyes to life and add realism, lending great intensity to his gaze and overall expression, it looks as if he were speaking to us.

Me gustó como se veía este gatito sobre fondo blanco pero para darle más dinamismo y colorido decidí rodearlo de un amarillo bastante cítrico que ayuda a resaltar el azul de sus ojos. Con pintura blanca le hice los bigotes y algunos pelitos en las orejas y otras zonas, los trazos no quedaron muy intensos porque el óleo pastel no permite que la pintura se adhiera bien al papel 🤷🏻‍♀️, para la próxima tendré que comprar un marcador en gel blanco 😉.

I liked how this little kitten looked against the white background, but to add more dynamism and color, I decided to surround it with a vibrant, citrusy yellow that helps make the blue of his eyes stand out. I used white paint to add the whiskers and a few stray hairs on the ears and other areas, the strokes didn't turn out very bold because oil pastels don't allow paint to adhere well to the paper 🤷🏻‍♀️, next time, I'll have to buy a white gel pen 😉.

Y aquí está el resultado final, un gato con expresión curiosa y mucha fuerza en su mirada.

And here is the final result, a cat with a curious expression and a powerful gaze.
