Kousa dogwood
On Thursday morning I was up about 4:30AM and got my post up. I got started trying to sort out the credit card mess and stopped at 7AM to pull up shades and eat breakfast. Then I was back at it.
The electrician arrived around 11:30AM to fix the light in the freezer room. We think the drywall guys hit it putting up the ceiling. So that’s one less thing on the list.
I went back to the mess and had just finished a part of it around 1:30PM. I’d lost track of time and my #4 helper arrived. I got some lunch and got ready for the day and we started the finishing of the windows. She washed the doors and I got the dining room window done then did the door windows.
The curtains are finally hung back up. We cleaned up the mess from the windows and I was wiped out. I went to sit down for the rest of the afternoon.
Gleaming glass and clean door
She got 2 meals of the chicken soup in the freezer for me. Then she got the house plants watered and vacuumed the first floor. Somehow the bag came loose in the vacuum and there was a mess we had to clean up.
The lawn mower guy called and said the solenoid for the rider mower had melted! He’d replaced it and would be bringing the mower back late morning on Friday.
But the leaves have gotten far too deep to mow up, so I will have to rent a blower next weekend to move as many of them as I can. I’m hoping my son’s friend can do that.
Late afternoon autumn light coming in the office windows
Once my #4 helper left, I heated up some supper, pulled the shades, and sat down to watch a movie. It had been rather warm during the day and I only had to get the wood stove going. I was in bed around 9PM.
Dusk looking east
On Friday I resume tackling the credit card mess until my #3 helper arrives at 12:30PM. It’s to be one of the last beautiful days and I’m hoping she will want to finish weeding the New Herb garden. I will either have finished sorting the mess, or given up and gone out to pick peas as it’s about time again.
