If there’s one thing I love, it’s sharing good moments with the people I love. I always really enjoy getting together with family or friends because these are opportunities to create new memories. Thankfully, I’ve stayed friends with some of the people I knew as a teenager, and to this day, we’re lucky enough to continue supporting each other through both the good times and the bad. And regular get-togethers to eat and have a drink are always part of the picture 😃.
Si hay algo que me gusta, es compartir buenos momentos con mis seres queridos. Siempre disfruto mucho de las reuniones con familia o amigos, porque son oportunidades para crear nuevos recuerdos. Gracias a la vida, mantengo algunos de mis amigos de cuando era adolescente, y hasta el día de hoy tenemos la suerte de seguir apoyándonos en las buenas y malas. Y las reuniones a comer y a tomar algo regularmente nunca faltan 😃.
Even though I’ve been working quite a lot lately, my job is only Monday through Friday, which allows me to have my weekends free to disconnect for a while. Although there are times when all I need is to stay home and rest, most of the time I use my days off to go out and explore, whether somewhere far away or close by. My friends live about 15 km from my house, so whenever I go visit them, I usually stay over at one of their homes.
A pesar de que estoy trabajando bastante últimamente, mi trabajo solo es de lunes a viernes, lo que me permite tener los fines de semana libres como para desconectarme un rato. Aunque hay veces que todo lo que necesito es quedarme en mi casa descansado, la mayoría de las veces uso los días libres para salir a pasear, lejos o cerca. Mis amigos viven a unos 15 km de mi casa, así que cuando voy a visitarlos, generalmente me quedo en la casa de alguno a dormir.

One of the last get-togethers we had together was to celebrate my friend’s upcoming move. After living in an apartment for two years, it was time for her to move into a new one. Moving is always an event that stirs up a lot of emotions, and it also means having to move quite a lot of things, so having the support of your friends is important. We got together before the move to make the most of the building’s terrace, since the new place wouldn’t have one, and nature gifted us with a beautiful sunset.
Una de las últimas reuniones que hicimos juntos tuvo como motivo la próxima mudanza de mi amiga. Después de dos años de estar viviendo en un departamento, le tocaba cambiarse a uno nuevo. Una mudanza siempre es un evento que mueve bastantes sentimientos, y también hay que mover bastantes cosas, por lo que contar con el apoyo de tus amigos es importante. Hicimos una reunión antes de la mudanza como para aprovechar la terraza del edificio ya que el nuevo no tendría, y la naturaleza nos regaló un atardecer hermoso.

I’ve known Sofía since 2010, and I’ve known Nan for almost as long, since he was a friend of hers and is now a friend of mine too. I have countless memories of trips I took with Sofía, and we also went to visit Nan several times when he lived in Córdoba, in a little house in the mountains. Nowadays, the three of us live closer to one another, and we never pass up the opportunity to get together. Nan is an excellent cook, so every time we see each other, he surprises us with something new. At our last get-together, there was no shortage of food, including a main course, dessert, and even a second dessert to eat in the early hours of the morning while we watched TV.
A Sofía la conozco desde el 2010 y a Nan casi del mismo tiempo, ya que era un amigo de ella y ahora también es mi amigo. Con Sofía tengo muchísimos recuerdos de viajes que hicimos juntas, y a Nan lo fuimos a visitar varias veces cuando vivía en Córdoba, en una casita en la montaña. Hoy, los tres estamos más cerca y no desaprovechamos la oportunidad de reunirnos. Nan es un excelente cocinero, así que todas las veces que nos vemos nos sorprende con algo nuevo. En nuestra última reunión no faltó la comida, que incluyó plato principal, postre y hasta un segundo postre para comer a la madrugada mientras veíamos la tele.

Simple get-togethers like these always fill my heart with joy: I love spending time with my friends and catching up on what’s going on in our lives. As life moves forward and each of us develops our own routines and commitments, it becomes a little harder to find a time that works for everyone, but I’m glad we can still make the time and find a good reason to get together. This farewell gathering for the apartment was very emotional, as it was the first apartment where my friend was able to live independently. To this day, her new apartment is beautiful and more spacious, so I’m also happy for her because of that. I’m glad I was able to be there for her throughout that whole transition ❤️.
Las juntadas simples como estas siempre llenan mi corazón de alegría: me encanta compartir tiempo con mis amigos y ponernos al día con nuestras cosas. A medida que la vida avanza y cada uno va teniendo sus rutinas y compromisos, se vuelve un poco más difícil coincidir, pero me alegra que todavía encontremos el tiempo y un buen motivo para hacerlo. Esta reunión de despedida del departamento fue muy emotiva, ya que fue el primer departamento en el que mi amiga logró su independencia. Al día de hoy, el departamento nuevo es hermoso y más espacioso, por lo que también estoy contenta por ella y por eso. Me alegra haber podido acompañarla en toda esa transición ❤️.
