Volver a nuestro centro.

Back to our center.

1000203062.jpg

Hello friends of Holos & Lotus. I hope you are doing very well and that these days are filled with wonderful moments. The title of the post I used makes me give importance to what truly matters, to what leads me back to my center. Have you noticed that there are times when we feel down, and picking up something we used to do or enjoy brings us back to that feeling of fulfillment and well-being with our own existence? This happens to me a lot with music, and I want to use it as an example because it's something I'm passionate about.

All my life I have been surrounded by different melodies and songs, in any language, but mostly in English and Spanish, which is my native language. Whenever I experienced situations of conflict or joy, there was always a song that gave meaning to those mixed emotions and to what I was thinking at that moment. I think that having music so close saved me from being sad or even from being upset about something. Immediately, there was a melody and lyrics that gave meaning to what was happening inside me.

Music makes a great contribution to emotional healing; I think many of us have felt that a song could heal something that was broken. It means the world to me to listen to my favorite music even if I repeat it many times—I never get tired of listening to what I like. And that's how life is; we shouldn't push aside those little things that somehow keep us afloat and make us feel less alone and less wretched. Being able to feel this with any activity or passion is something that brings emotion and well-being.

Lately, I like being able to repeat the same old songs, even though I already know them by heart and although it might seem annoying to others, for me it's like an anchor that brings me back to my center. We shouldn't leave behind all our passions or what makes us feel alive; it is necessary to do and enjoy every little thing that can bring us happiness, even if it seems meaningless. It’s about giving importance to our emotions and our way of moving forward in life.

That is why I repeat and repeat songs that at the time meant something special to me. Maybe it was my way of escaping reality or feeling good during difficult moments. It is extremely healthy and natural; I enjoy being able to do it and continuing to discover stories in new songs and artists that might resemble what I am experiencing or what I might think but cannot express. That is one of my ways of reaching my center, where I feel safe and focused on what gives me peace.

Have you ever felt this way with a hobby or activity? I would love to read your thoughts in the comments. Something I find important is to remind you that nothing we like, even if it seems small, should be left behind. Life is already difficult enough without missing out on doing or enjoying the beautiful things it offers us, so I invite you to think about what brings you back to your center of well-being, to think about what helped you feel better during a difficult moment in your lives. Sending a hug to everyone 🫶🏽☺️
