The days are flying by so quickly that, almost before we know it, it’s already Friday—that day so beloved by many because it heralds the well-deserved rest that lies ahead. Friday always has a special charm; it’s like a door opening onto a brief respite, onto that space where the body and mind can relax after an intense week. That’s why I sincerely hope your Friday and weekend are fantastic, wonderful, and full of pleasant moments that allow you to recharge your batteries. As for me, I hope mine will be quite restful, allowing me to fully relieve these allergies that have been bothering me—and while they aren’t serious, they are a bit uncomfortable. Even so, work must go on, and yesterday, Thursday, my husband and I traveled to the municipality of Gómez to carry out our routine chlorination and disinfection of the main water tank at the Sunsol Ecoland hotel. As is our custom, we left early because of the distance to the location. This time, we decided to take the Portachuelo route, since the weather is still humid and there are occasional showers. That road, although longer, is safer when the weather is like this—a bit unpredictable. Besides, it has its own charms: natural landscapes that look as if they were painted by the patient hand of nature, vibrant colors that stand out even when the sky is cloudy and the air feels damp.
Los días están pasando tan rápido que casi sin darnos cuenta ya es viernes, ese día tan querido por muchos porque anuncia que detrás de él viene el descanso merecido. El viernes siempre tiene un encanto especial; es como una puerta que se abre hacia un pequeño respiro, hacia ese espacio donde el cuerpo y la mente pueden relajarse después de una semana intensa. Por eso, deseo de corazón que su viernes y su fin de semana sean geniales, maravillosos y llenos de momentos agradables que les permitan recargar energías. Yo, por mi parte, espero que el mío sea bastante descansado, que me permita aliviar por completo estas alergias que me han estado acompañando y que, aunque no son graves, sí resultan un poco incómodas. Aun así, el trabajo debe continuar, y ayer jueves mi esposo y yo nos trasladamos al municipio Gómez para realizar nuestra rutina de clorado y desinfección del tanque principal del hotel Sunsol Ecoland. Como ya es costumbre, salimos temprano debido a lo distante del lugar. En esta ocasión decidimos tomar la vía de Portachuelo, porque el clima todavía está húmedo y de vez en cuando caen algunos chubascos. Esa carretera, aunque más larga, es más segura cuando el tiempo está así, un poco caprichoso. Además, tiene sus propios encantos; paisajes naturales que parecen pintados por la mano paciente de la naturaleza, colores vibrantes que resaltan incluso cuando el cielo está nublado y el ambiente se siente mojado.
Before reaching the hotel, you come to La Playa Lagoon, which was especially beautiful that day. Although the clouds gently caressed it, its surface had an irresistible glow, as if it were reflecting a secret hidden among the mountains and breezes. In the surrounding area, crews were working to beautify the grounds, cleaning and tending to every corner to keep it sparkling. Seeing that effort is always a pleasure, because it shows that nature and public spaces also need hands to protect them.
Antes de llegar al hotel se encuentra la laguna La Playa, que ese día estaba especialmente hermosa. Aunque las nubes la acariciaban suavemente, su superficie tenía un brillo irresistible, como si reflejara un secreto guardado entre montañas y brisas. En sus alrededores había brigadas trabajando para embellecer las áreas, limpiando y cuidando cada rincón para que se mantuviera reluciente. Ver ese esfuerzo siempre da gusto, porque demuestra que la naturaleza y los espacios públicos también necesitan manos que los protejan.
When we arrived at the hotel, we were greeted, as usual, with that friendly atmosphere that makes you feel as if you’re arriving at a relative’s home. That human warmth always makes the work feel easier. We went up to the main tank to carry out our chlorination and disinfection work. Since I’ve been dealing with some allergies, I decided to stay at the bottom of the tank while my husband went up with the equipment and the necessary supplies.
Al llegar al hotel nos recibieron, como de costumbre, con ese ambiente afable que hace sentir a uno como si estuviera llegando a casa de un familiar. Esa calidez humana siempre hace más ligero el trabajo. Subimos al tanque principal para realizar nuestra labor de clorado y desinfección. Como ando con un poco de alergia, decidí quedarme en la parte baja del tanque mientras mi esposo subía con el equipo de calidad y los productos necesarios.
While they were working upstairs, I took the opportunity to snap a few photos of the scenery around us. The sky offered a beautiful contrast: some clouds reluctant to move and the sun trying to break through with all its might. It was a natural dilemma, a play of light and shadow that was sublimely beautiful. I wanted to capture it in my photos, because those fleeting moments deserve to be preserved.
Mientras ellos trabajaban arriba, yo aproveché para tomar algunas fotografías de los paisajes que nos rodeaban. El cielo tenía un contraste precioso: algunas nubes resistiéndose a moverse y el sol intentando salir con fuerza. Era un dilema natural, un juego de luces y sombras que resultaba sublimemente hermoso. Quise dejarlo inmortalizado en mis fotos, porque esos momentos fugaces merecen ser guardados.
Once we finished the work and made sure everything was in perfect condition, we headed back home, saying goodbye once again to the municipality of Gómez and its enchanting natural beauty. Every visit leaves us with a different feeling, as if the landscape gives us a little memento to carry in our hearts with each trip.
Al terminar el trabajo y verificar que todo estuviera en perfectas condiciones, nos marchamos de vuelta a casa, despidiéndonos una vez más del municipio Gómez y de su encantadora naturaleza. Cada visita deja una sensación distinta, como si el paisaje nos regala un pequeño recuerdo para llevar en el corazón, en cada recorrido.
