Have a great weekend! I hope you’re enjoying your well-deserved rest and that this Friday allowed you to wrap up the week on a peaceful note. For us, this weekend will be the perfect mix of relaxation, small chores, and those preparations that make our days at home even more enjoyable. We want to take advantage of the time to rest, run some errands, and prepare traditional dishes that always fill the house with familiar aromas and create lovely shared moments. To make sure we have the weekend completely free, we planned our Friday very carefully. We left the house early with the intention of getting everything done ahead of schedule so we could have Saturday and Sunday entirely to ourselves. Among the tasks planned for the day were submitting invoices and checking on some services at the Wyndham Hotel—a place that always requires punctuality and respect for its rules, especially since it’s a five-star hotel where guest safety and comfort are a priority. The weather was exceptionally kind to us. After two cloudy days, the sun shone again with that intensity so characteristic of the island, illuminating every corner and making the landscapes look more vibrant, more radiant. That warm light falling on the mountains, the buildings, and the sea always transforms any outing into the most beautiful visual experience.
Feliz fin de semana, espero que estén disfrutando del merecido descanso y que este viernes les haya permitido cerrar la semana con tranquilidad. Para nosotros, este fin de semana será una mezcla perfecta entre reposo, pequeños quehaceres y esos preparativos que hacen más agradables los días en casa. Queremos aprovechar el tiempo para descansar, organizar algunas compras y preparar platos tradicionales que siempre llenan el hogar de aromas familiares y lindos momentos compartidos. Para poder tener el fin de semana completamente libre, organizamos muy bien nuestra jornada del viernes. Desde temprano salimos de casa con la intención de adelantar todo lo pendiente y así dejar el sábado y el domingo exclusivamente para nosotros. Entre las tareas planeadas para este día estaba la entrega de facturas y la verificación de algunos servicios en el Hotel Wyndham, un lugar que siempre requiere puntualidad y respeto por sus normas, especialmente por ser un hotel cinco estrellas donde la protección y comodidad del huésped es prioridad. El clima nos acompañó de manera excepcional. Después de dos días nublados, el sol volvió a brillar con esa intensidad que tanto caracteriza a la isla, iluminando cada rincón y haciendo que los paisajes se vieran más vivos, más radiantes. Esa luz cálida que cae sobre las montañas, los edificios y el mar siempre transforma cualquier recorrido en la mejor experiencia visual más hermosa.
We arrived at the hotel and everything went smoothly. We handed in the invoices, reviewed our work, and both we and the staff were pleased with the results. That feeling of fulfilling one’s responsibilities always brings a special sense of peace, as if your body were breathing more easily.
Llegamos al hotel y todo transcurrió sin contratiempos. Entregamos las facturas, revisamos nuestro trabajo y tanto nosotros como el personal quedaron complacidos con los resultados. Esa sensación de cumplir con las responsabilidades siempre da una tranquilidad especial, como si el cuerpo respirara más ligero.
At the end of the day, we decided to take a stroll around the Concorde Marina. Since we were so close, it would have been impossible not to stop by and enjoy those moments the sea offers. The gentle breeze, the movement of the boats, the sun glinting off the water… everything seemed to invite us to pause for a moment and simply take it all in. These are moments you’ll always remember because, though brief, they fill you with peace.
Al terminar la jornada decidimos dar un recorrido por la marina Concorde. Estando tan cerca, sería imposible no pasar por allí y disfrutar de esos momentos que regala el mar. La brisa suave, el movimiento de las lanchas, el reflejo del sol sobre el agua… todo parecía invitarnos a detenernos un rato y simplemente observar. Son instantes que uno siempre recordarás porque, aunque breves, llenan de paz.
Since the weather was so beautiful and we still had the rest of the afternoon ahead of us, we continued our little stroll and passed by El Morro Pier. That place never disappoints: the sea stretching out calmly, the sailboats motionless as if posing for a photograph, the mountains in the background, and the buildings that complete the landscape. It’s a visual spectacle that always amazes us, even when we already know it well. I couldn’t resist capturing that moment, because it was the perfect ending to a Friday that combined work, beauty, and serenity.
Como el clima estaba tan hermoso y aún quedaba tarde por delante, seguimos nuestro pequeño paseo y pasamos por el Muelle El Morro. Ese lugar nunca decepciona; el mar extendiéndose con calma, los veleros quietos posando para una fotografía, las montañas al fondo y los edificios que completan el paisaje. Es un espectáculo visual que siempre sorprende, incluso cuando ya lo conocemos bien. No podía dejar de capturar ese momento, porque fue el cierre perfecto para un viernes que combinó trabajo, belleza y serenidad.
With peace of mind and the satisfaction of having taken care of everything we needed to, we headed home to officially kick off our weekend.
