Friends of #wednesdaywalk, I hope you’re having a wonderful, productive day full of positive energy. Every Wednesday, I’m excited to share a little glimpse into my routine, because there’s always something new to notice, some detail the island gives us, and an experience worth sharing. Today was no exception, so here’s my walk for you, so you can see another little glimpse of this beautiful island that embraces us at every sunrise. My day started very early, with a bright sun that already felt stifling at dawn. This month has been particularly hot on the island—typical for this time of year—and that means we have to stay on top of staying hydrated, eating fresh fruit, and conserving our energy so we can keep up with all our responsibilities. Living in a place where it’s almost always summer has its charms, but also its challenges, and you learn to live with this climate, which—though intense—makes nature look radiant and full of life. Our first task of the day was to carry out the chlorination and disinfection routine at the Sunsol Unik Hotel, as well as to check the systems at the Parque Costa Azul Shopping Center. Everything was scheduled, so all that was left was to carry it out calmly and precisely. As we made our way through the streets, we took in the urban and natural landscapes that always accompany our rounds: mountains, trees swaying in the breeze, and that sky that changes hues by the minute.
Amigos de #wednesdaywalk, deseo que este día les esté resultando excelente, productivo y lleno de buenas energías. Cada miércoles me emociona compartir un pedacito de mi rutina, porque siempre hay algo nuevo que observar, algún detalle que la Isla nos regala y una experiencia que vale la pena contar. Hoy no fue la excepción, así que aquí les dejo mi recorrido, para que puedan ver otro pedacito de esta hermosa Isla, que nos abraza en cada amanecer. Mi día comenzó bien temprano, con un sol brillante que desde el amanecer ya se sentía sofocante. Este mes ha sido particularmente caluroso en la Isla, propio de la temporada, y eso nos obliga a estar atentos a la hidratación, a consumir frutas frescas y a cuidar la energía para poder cumplir con todas las responsabilidades. Vivir en un lugar donde casi siempre es verano tiene sus encantos, pero también sus exigencias, y uno aprende a convivir con ese clima que, aunque intenso, hace que la naturaleza luzca radiante y llena de vida. Nuestra primera tarea del día era realizar la rutina de clorado y desinfección en el Hotel Sunsol Unik, además de verificar los sistemas en el Centro Comercial Parque Costa Azul. Todo estaba programado, así que solo quedaba ejecutar con calma y precisión. Mientras avanzábamos por las calles, apreciábamos los paisajes urbanos y naturales que siempre acompañan nuestros recorridos; montañas, árboles que se mecen con la brisa, y ese cielo que cambia de tonos a cada minuto.
We arrived at the hotel, where the maintenance staff welcomed us with their usual warmth. We carried out our work with dedication, checking each parameter and verifying that everything was within the correct ranges. When we finished, we left with the satisfaction of having completed the first task of the day.
Llegamos al hotel, donde el personal de mantenimiento nos recibió con su acostumbrada cordialidad. Realizamos nuestro trabajo con dedicación, revisando cada parámetro y comprobando que todo estuviera en los valores correctos. Cuando terminamos, nos retiramos con la tranquilidad de haber cumplido la primera actividad del día.
The Parque Costa Azul Shopping Center is very close to the hotel, so we headed there to continue our day. We checked the water, measured out the necessary products, and went down to one of the filters to check the pressure. Everything was in order, so we were able to move forward without any hitches.
Muy cerca del hotel está el Centro Comercial Parque Costa Azul, así que nos dirigimos allí para continuar con la jornada. Se chequearon las aguas, se dosificaron los productos necesarios y bajamos a uno de los filtros para verificar las presiones. Todo estaba en orden, así que pudimos avanzar sin contratiempos.
The last task of the day was to pick up a package for our son at Zoom del Sambil, which is our favorite agency because of its speed and excellent customer service. We weren’t in a rush, because it was around 3:00 p.m. and we knew they closed at 5:00 p.m. We arrived with plenty of time to spare and picked up the package without any problems.
La última tarea del día era recoger una encomienda para nuestro hijo en Zoom del Sambil, que es la agencia que más nos gusta por su rapidez y buen trato al público. Íbamos sin apuros, porque eran cerca de las tres de la tarde y sabíamos que cerraban a las cinco. Llegamos con tiempo suficiente y recogimos la encomienda sin ningún inconveniente.
With all our tasks completed, we set off for home with that wonderful sense of satisfaction that comes from a productive day. This Wednesday was special, not only because of the work we accomplished, but also because there’s always something new to see: A surprising landscape, a refreshing breeze, or a little detail that brightens the journey.
Con todas las actividades cumplidas, emprendimos el regreso a casa con esa satisfacción tan bonita que deja un día productivo. Este miércoles fue especial, no solo por el trabajo realizado, sino porque siempre hay algo nuevo que ver: Un paisaje que sorprende, una brisa que refresca o un detalle que alegra el recorrido.
