Netflix nos deleita con una serie inspirada en un asesino en serie, una persona que paralizo el mundo y que sigue siendo historia hasta el día de hoy, Jeffrey Dahmer vuelve a sonar este 2022 y a recordarnos que el ser humano puede ser realmente cruel.

Hola amigos, hoy quiero darles mi punto de vista sobre esta serie que recién termine de ver, la verdad no soy de hacer muchos reviews de serie o películas, pero realmente sentí que esto lo merecía, quienes me conocen muy bien saben que me encanta y siento un fascinación por estos temas sobre asesinos seriales y es que me intriga mucho el poder entender porque paso, que fue lo que salió mal para que una persona llegase a ser cosas tan despiadadas, me intriga saber sus pensamientos, su manera de actuar, sus problemas mentales o traumas, es bastante interesante, he visto varios documentales en Netflix de esta temática, pero desde hace unas semanas me entere del estreno de Dahmer, una serie de Netflix protagonizada por el maravilloso Evan Peters, personificando a uno de los monstros mas temidos de Milwaukee.

Hello friends, today I want to give you my point of view on this series that I just finished watching, the truth is that I am not one to do many series or movie reviews, but I really felt that this deserved it, those who know me very well know that I love it and I feel a fascination for these issues about serial killers and it is that I am very intrigued to understand why it happened, what went wrong for a person to become such ruthless things, I am intrigued to know their thoughts, their way of acting, their problems or trauma, it's quite interesting, I've seen several documentaries on Netflix on this subject, but a few weeks ago I found out about the premiere of Dahmer, a Netflix series starring the wonderful Evan Peters, personifying one of the most feared monsters of Milwaukee.

Jeffrey Dahmer fue un asesino en serie, cometiendo su primer asesinato en el año 1978 y en los años próximos continuaría realizando asesinatos a un total de 17 hombres y adolescentes, no solo los asesinaba, también los conservaba, fotografiaba sus cadáveres, incluso comía de ellos, todo esto en su pequeño apartamento de un edificio en una zona “peligrosa” y barata, los vecinos sentían olores extraños saliendo de casa de Jeffrey pero a pesar de todas las alarmas nunca se pudo evitar que esas 17 vidas fueran tomadas. La serie representa todo exactamente solo que un poco menos gráfica, sin embargo, el contexto y el desarrollo de la historia te da a entender todo lo que esta pasando. Desde que comienza la serie sentí una especie de escalofríos por el parecido de Evan Peters, el cual admiro mucho y aun más después de esta magnifica actuación, la primera vez que lo vi fue en la serie de American Horror Story y desde ese momento me encanto como actor, le quedan perfectos estos papeles de psicópata, me imagino todo el trabajo detrás de esa personificación para poder hacerlo todo a la perfección.

Jeffrey Dahmer was a serial killer, committing his first murder in 1978 and in the years to come he would continue to murder a total of 17 men and teenagers, not only murdering them, but also preserving them, photographing their corpses, even eating them. , all this in his small apartment in a building in a "dangerous" and cheap area, the neighbors felt strange smells coming from Jeffrey's house but despite all the alarms, it was never possible to prevent those 17 lives from being taken. The series represents everything exactly, only a little less graphically, however, the context and the development of the story makes you understand everything that is happening. Since the series begins I felt a kind of chills because of the resemblance of Evan Peters, which I admire a lot and even more after this magnificent performance, the first time I saw him was in the American Horror Story series and from that moment I loved it As an actor, these psychopath roles fit him perfectly, I imagine all the work behind that personification to be able to do everything perfectly.

Las escenas de su infacia/adolescencia me hicieron pensar muchisimo en cual acontecimiento sería realmente lo que hizo que su compartimiento fuese así, habían tantas cosas que es imposible deducir exactamente que fue, en la historia vemos a un pequeño Jeffrey que tiene una vida familiar bastante disfuncional, su madre tiene depresión y nunca le da atención y cariño a su hijo, su padre suele huir de casa para evitar a su esposa y el pequeño Jeffrey siempre se siente solo, a la vez su padre le enseña un poco de taxidermia, esto hace que Jeffrey por fin se interese en algo, esto podría ser quizás otro detonador para lo que se acercaba en el futuro. También podríamos pensar en que lo que realmente provoco ese comportamiento seria algo en su cerebro, pero el padre de Jeffrey no permitió que fuese estudiado el cerebro de su hijo, realmente no sabremos nunca que paso. Las actuaciones de los padres de Jeffrey son tan reales que incluso da importancia, rabia, tristeza y compasión, realmente tengo muchos sentimientos encontrados con esta serie y me cuesta pensar que esto es real, aunque es una historia que lei ya hace mucho tiempo, es increíble como a veces la realidad supera la ficción.

The scenes of his childhood/adolescence made me think a lot about what event would really be what made his compartment like that, there were so many things that it is impossible to deduce exactly what it was, in the story we see a little Jeffrey who has a quite family life dysfunctional, his mother has depression and never gives attention and affection to her son, his father often runs away from home to avoid his wife and little Jeffrey always feels alone, while his father teaches him a bit of taxidermy, this makes Jeffrey finally interested in something, this could be perhaps another trigger for what was coming in the future. We could also think that what really caused that behavior would be something in his brain, but Jeffrey's father did not allow his son's brain to be studied, we will never really know what happened. The performances of Jeffrey's parents are so real that it even gives importance, anger, sadness and compassion, I really have many mixed feelings with this series and I find it hard to believe that this is real, although it is a story that I read a long time ago, it is Amazing how sometimes reality is stranger than fiction.

Aunque la historia se enfoca en Jeffrey también vemos como pasan parte de la vida de algunas de sus víctimas, sus familias y las secuelas que dejo después de que salieron a la luz todos sus crímenes, imágenes del juicio contra Jefrrey que son realmente impactantes porque son idénticas a las imágenes del juicio real, me dio bastante escalofrió cuando una de las hermanas de las victimas le grito a Dahmer y lo amenazo, sentí ese dolor como si fuese el juicio real, escogieron personas físicamente bastante parecidas a las víctimas, hice varias comparaciones y quedé bastante sorprendida con el parecido, algo que también es bastante parecido es todo el escenario principalmente la casa de Dahmer, la representaron bastante similar a la casa original, de verdad que hicieron un excelente trabajo para ambientarnos a estar en la piel de Jeffrey y sus víctimas.

Although the story focuses on Jeffrey, we also see how part of the lives of some of his victims, their families, and the aftermath that he left after all his crimes came to light, images of the trial against Jefrrey that are really shocking because they are identical to the images of the real trial, it gave me a lot of chills when one of the sisters of the victims yelled at Dahmer and threatened him, I felt that pain as if it were the real trial, they chose people physically quite similar to the victims, I made several comparisons and I was quite surprised with the resemblance, something that is also quite similar is the whole stage, mainly Dahmer's house, they represented it quite similar to the original house, they really did an excellent job to set us up to be in Jeffrey's skin and their victims.

Y lo que mas impotencia da es ver como la policía a pesar de las señales jamás hizo nada, la vecina de Dahmer alerto a los oficiales en varias ocasiones de todo lo que escuchaba en el apartamento de su vecino, incluso tuvieron la oportunidad de salvar a la victima mas joven de Jeffrey de 14 años pero ni siquiera eso pudieron hacer, se habla del racismo y la poca importancia que le dieron a las denuncias de esta mujer solo por ser un barrio donde frecuentaba vivir muchas personas de color, definitivamente la justicia nunca ha sido perfecta, no solo en estos casos cometen este tipo de errores se han visto muchísimos a lo largo de la historia, sobre todo cuando estudiamos a profundidad estos casos de asesinos en serie.

En esta historia puedes ver la vida completa de este asesino e incluso llegar a entender o empatizar en ciertos momentos con el, pero luego recuerdas que esto fue real, que todo lo que vemos aquí paso, que puede pasar ahora o en cualquier momento, que te puede pasar a ti o a un amigo o familiar y es ahí cuando entras en un conflicto, realmente esta bastante bien contado todo, la cronología de las escenas te permiten entender bien como se va desarrollando todo, sientes asco y repulsión y a la vez admiración por el gran trabajo que hicieron al traernos esta serie, actuaciones bastante buenas que te hacen sentir como si estuvieses allí. Personalmente cuando termine de ver la serie me sentí bastante rara, ya conocía la historia pero fue mucho mas interesante verla en pantalla, pude sentir tristeza por Jeffrey que fue una persona que jamás pudo ser alguien normal y que finalmente murió sintiendo el dolor de todas las vidas que arranco, pude sentir la rabia de ver como una persona puede ser tan cruel, como la justicia no hizo su trabajo, como se pudo evitar tantas tragedias, personas inocentes que simplemente buscaban una noche de aventura y terminaron muertos y coleccionados por Jeffrey Dahmer. Anteriormente ya había una producción basada en este asesino en serie protagonizada por Ross Lynch, la cual aun no he visto pero se que se enfoca mas en la adolescencia de Jeffrey.

In this story you can see the whole life of this murderer and even come to understand or empathize with him at certain moments, but then you remember that this was real, that everything we see here happened, that it can happen now or at any time, that it can happen to you or to a friend or family member and that's when you enter into a conflict, everything is really quite well told, the chronology of the scenes allows you to understand well how everything is developing, you feel disgust and repulsion and at the same time admiration for what a great job they did bringing us this series, pretty good performances that make you feel like you're there. Personally, when I finished watching the series I felt quite strange, I already knew the story but it was much more interesting to see it on screen, I could feel sadness for Jeffrey who was a person who could never be someone normal and who finally died feeling the pain of all the lives that I start, I could feel the rage of seeing how a person can be so cruel, how justice did not do its job, how so many tragedies could be avoided, innocent people who were simply looking for a night of adventure and ended up dead and collected by Jeffrey Dahmer . Previously there was already a production based on this serial killer starring Ross Lynch, which I haven't seen yet but I know it focuses more on Jeffrey's adolescence.

Realmente hay muchísimo que contar, demasiada información sobre este caso reflejada en esta serie pero si las cuento todas tardaría tres días en hacerlo jaja. Si te gustan este tipo de temas como a mi realmente te recomiendo verla, vale muchísimo la pena y también comparar las situaciones y escenarios para que puedas disfrutar de el trabajo impecable que realizaron para esta serie, me gusto bastante yo le doy un 10/10

If you like this type of subject like me, I really recommend you watch it, it's very worthwhile and also compare the situations and scenarios so you can enjoy the impeccable work they did for this series, I really liked it and I give it a 10/10.
