¡Hola amigos! En el día de hoy les vengo a hablar de una película que se estrenó hace poco en Netflix, el pasado 2 de diciembre, llamada El amante de Lady Chatterley. No sé preocupen que está no es una película navideña, es una adaptación de un clásico de la literatura, escrito por D.H. Lawrence, que logro romper los esquemas en su tiempo.
Hello friends! Today I come to talk about a movie that was recently released on Netflix, last December 2, called Lady Chatterley's Lover. Don't worry that this is not a Christmas movie, it is an adaptation of a classic of literature, written by D.H. Lawrence, who managed to break the schemes in his time.

¿De qué trata? - What is it about?
Constanza (Emma Corrin), una joven que se moviliza por sus sentimientos, se casa con Clifford Chatterley (Matthew Duckett), un hombre al que ama y que posee una buena posición. Al poco tiempo es llamado para ir a la guerra, vuelve, pero está mal herido y quedo parapléjico. Para ayudar a su recuperación, se mudan de la ciudad a la mansión de la familia Chatterley en el campo. La guerra cambió sus vidas y ahora el matrimonio feliz de Connie con Clifford pende de un hilo. Este se empezó a enfocar más en la minería del pueblo y la escritura, y ella quedo a su cuidado, tarea que se le empieza a complicar y termina afectando su salud. Así que deciden contratar una enfermera para que se ocupe de él. Un día vagando por los alrededores de la casa de campo se encuentra con una pequeña cabaña que hace su refugio, pero también es el refugio del guardabosques de las tierras de su marido, Oliver Mellors (Jack O´Connell), quien volvió de la guerra hace poco y carga con sus propias heridas. Ellos dos van a tener un romance muy apasionado que los hará revivir pero tendrán que sortear un par de obstáculos en el camino para poder estar juntos si ese es su deseo.

The two of them are going to have a very passionate romance that will bring them back to life but they will have to overcome a couple of obstacles along the way in order to be together if that is their desire.
Opinión - Opinion
Nada le gana a un buen drama romántico de época, tienen todo el condimento necesario. Está película es todo lo que las modernas desean ser. Nos muestran un romance apasionado cargado de escenas sexuales pero bien prolijo, hechas con cuidado, no es burdo ni tosco. Nos enseña el lado libre de la sexualidad, tanto en la mujer como en el hombre, lo prohibido de la época y cómo fue juzgada, pero va mucho más allá de eso. Siento que rompe la regla porque en la mayoría de las películas de este estilo se juzga hasta el hartazgo. Pero acá Connie demostró lo que dijo al principio de la película, ella se mueve por los sentimientos y se entrega completamente al amor. Lo deja todo para estar con la persona que ama, no es interesada para nada y es valorada por ello ya que la gente termina reconociendo que hizo lo que hizo por amor. A pesar de que su familia no estuvo de acuerdo lograron comprenderla y aceptar su situación con la condición de que sea feliz.
Nothing beats a good romantic period drama, they have all the right spice. This movie is everything modern women want it to be. We are shown a passionate romance loaded with sexual scenes but neatly done, done with care, not crude or crude. It shows us the free side of sexuality, both in women and men, how forbidden it was at the time and how it was judged, but it goes far beyond that. I feel it breaks the rule because most films of this style are judged ad nauseam. But here Connie proved what she said at the beginning of the film, she is driven by feelings and gives herself completely to love. She gives up everything to be with the person she loves, she is not interested at all and she is valued for it since people end up recognizing that she did what she did for love. Although her family did not agree with her, they managed to understand her and accept her situation on the condition that she be happy.
Me gustó mucho cómo abordaron está película, los primeros planos, las sutilezas y las que no. La elección de los actores fue acertada, hicieron un buen papel e interpretaron genial a sus respectivos personajes. Es una historia que se animó a romper un poco los esquemas de la época, el amor libre, la entrega total. Fue admirable de ver. Es de esos romances que te hacen suspirar y desear algo así, es algo que te compra. Puede resultar un poco lenta al principio, después quizá se vuelva un poco repetitiva en escenas, pero de todos modos me mantuvo cautivada. Esperando el desenlace y la catástrofe porque siempre dramática.
I really liked the way they approached this film, the close-ups, the subtleties and what not. The choice of actors was right, they played a good role and interpreted their respective characters brilliantly. It is a story that dared to break a little the schemes of the time, free love, total surrender. It was admirable to watch. It's one of those romances that make you sigh and desire something like that, it's something that buys you. It can be a little slow at the beginning, then maybe it gets a little repetitive in scenes, but anyway it kept me captivated. Waiting for the denouement and the catastrophe because it's always dramatic.
La fotografía es otro plus. Muestran unos paisajes muy bellos y bien capturados, la mansión bien diseñada y decorada. Los vestuarios propios de la época me gustaron mucho. Quisiera pasear por esos bosques y ríos y ver esa vegetación. Soy fan del campo y todo lo que sea naturaleza. Así que sería mi lugar ideal mucho más que una gran ciudad.
The photography is another plus. They show very beautiful and well captured landscapes, the mansion well designed and decorated. I liked the costumes of the period very much. I would like to walk through those woods and rivers and see that vegetation. I'm a fan of the countryside and all things nature. So that would be my ideal place much more than a big city.
Quizá me hubiera gustado un poco más de anticipación y anhelo entre los personajes principales, más desvíos de mirada y rubores encubiertos. Pero en general no me quejo al respecto. A veces me hacían sentir un poco incomoda estos dos. Como si me estuviera entrometiendo en sus asuntos privados. Esto es bueno porque lograron un buen clímax y establecer su propia burbuja ante el espectador.
Maybe I would have liked a little more anticipation and longing among the main characters, more eye-rolling and covert blushes. But overall I'm not complaining about it. At times I was made to feel a little uncomfortable by these two. Like I was prying into their private affairs. This is good because they managed to climax well and establish their own bubble in front of the viewer.
El libro sin dudas habrá roto esquemas en su época, de hecho estuvo censurado por un tiempo por su contenido erótico tan explicito. Creo que esta es una buena adaptación, aunque no es la única. Debo confesar que es la primera que veo, pero me encantaría mirar alguna de las otras para comparar. Por supuesto que los invito a todos a mirar está película, pienso que vale la pena verla aunque sea una vez. Abajo de todo les dejo el trailer por si gustan verlo. The book will undoubtedly have broken schemes in its time, in fact it was censored for a while because of its explicit erotic content. I think this is a good adaptation, although it is not the only one. I must confess that this is the first one I've seen, but I would love to watch some of the others to compare.
