¡Hola amigos! Hoy les vengo a hablar acerca de la segunda temporada de la serie Percy Jackson y los dioses del Olimpo.

Trama - Plot
Otro año más que comienza en el Campamento mestizo. Tras un año escolar normal entre mortales y tras enterarse que tiene un hermanastro ciclope llamado Tyson, Percy Jackson vivirá nuevas amenazas que lo esperan en el campamento. El árbol que tiene el espíritu de Thalia y que protege las fronteras del lugar fue envenenado y ahora Percy, junto con sus amigos, deberá ir en una peligrosa misión para recuperar el Vellocino de oro que lo curará, y de paso rescatar a Grover que fue secuestrado por un ciclope. Con las profecías en mente y la guerra entres dioses que se avecina, la decisión de lo que ocurrirá con el Olimpo está cada vez más cerca.
Another year begins at Camp Half-Blood. After a normal school year among mortals and upon learning that he has a Cyclops half-brother named Tyson, Percy Jackson will face new threats awaiting him at camp. The tree that holds the spirit of Thalia and protects the camp’s borders has been poisoned, and now Percy, along with his friends, must embark on a dangerous mission to recover the Golden Fleece that will cure it—and, while they’re at it, rescue Grover, who has been kidnapped by a Cyclops. With the prophecies in mind and the war among the gods looming, the decision regarding the fate of Olympus is drawing ever closer.
Reseña - Review
Hay algo mágico en ponerse a mirar esta serie y disfrutarla como si fuera una niña. Esta claro que está pensada para un público más infantil por el momento, pero me resulta bastante entretenida y tiene el plus de tener capítulos cortos así que se puede ver de un tirón un fin de semana, o mirar un capítulo por día, que es lo que hice yo.
There's something magical about sitting down to watch this series and enjoying it as if I were a little girl. It's clear that it's aimed at a younger audience for now, but I find it quite entertaining, and it has the added bonus of short episodes, so you can binge-watch it over a weekend or watch one episode a day—which is what I did.
La primera temporada me había gustado y esta segunda también estuvo bien. A mí me entusiasma todo el tema de la mitología griega y los dioses, me gusta este tipo de intrigas y enredos que hay entre ellos y cómo los personificaron, se ven bastantes comunes y corrientes, cometiendo errores como cualquier humano, esto lo hace mucho más entretenido a medida que también adquirís conocimientos. Obvio que es ficción, pero está basada en la mitología griega y eso es lo que lo mantiene interesante. Lo que también llama la atención es que los actores elegidos son niños de la edad de sus personajes y ese contraste de verlos crecer de un año al otro siempre es muy nostálgico y te hace tomar cierta consciencia de su crecimiento, tanto físico como actoral.
I liked the first season, and this second one was good, too. I’m really into the whole Greek mythology thing and the gods; I like the intrigues and entanglements between them and how they’re portrayed—they come across as pretty ordinary, making mistakes just like any human. This makes it much more entertaining as you also learn more about the subject. Obviously, it’s fiction, but it’s based on Greek mythology, and that’s what keeps it interesting. What's also striking is that the actors chosen are children the same age as their characters, and that contrast—seeing them grow from one year to the next—is always very nostalgic and makes you realize just how much they've grown, both physically and as actors.
For those who don't know, this story is based on a young adult book series of the same name written by Rick Riordan. I didn't read those books back then and I don't think I'll ever get around to it, but I know the series has a huge fan base and was a huge hit in its day. So I can't say whether or not it stays true to the plot, but as a series, it's pretty entertaining. I always start watching it thinking I might get bored, but that never happens. On the contrary, I find myself hoping there will be more episodes.
No hay mucho que pueda contarles sobre la trama porque no quiero hacer spoilers, pero espero que suceda lo mismo que con Harry Potter y que a medida que la historia avance la trama se vaya poniendo un poco más seria y desencadene en alguna batalla épica donde te haga sentir temor por la vida de tus personajes favoritos. Sí, así como leyeron.
There isn't much I can tell you about the plot because I don't want to give anything away, but I hope it turns out like Harry Potter—that as the story progresses, the plot gets a little more serious and culminates in some epic battle that makes you fear for the lives of your favorite characters. Yes, you read that right.
No es la mejor serie del mundo y ya les digo que es bastante infantil. Pero tiene cierto magia que puede encantar tanto a grandes como a chicos por igual. Así que está más que recomendada por mi parte y si quieren pueden verla con algún miembro juvenil de su familia que es acta para todo público. Es una buena opción para cuando no sabes que mirar y queres algo corto y ligero.
It's not the best series in the world, and I'll tell you right now that it's pretty childish. But it has a certain magic that can charm both adults and kids alike. So I highly recommend it, and if you want, you can watch it with a younger family member—it's suitable for all ages. It's a good option for when you don't know what to watch and want something short and lighthearted.
