Hello dear friends, this week has been sad for all lovers and fans of anime, especially Dragon Ball, since Akira Toriyama, the mangaka father of Son Goku, has passed away. Yesterday was the official announcement of his death. what March 8 will be remembered as Dragon Ball day. Millions of people around the world grew up seeing the characters that came out of their imagination, and that accompanied all our experiences for many years. The impact that their physical disappearance has had has been unmatched, without a doubt a figure that made history and laid the foundations for all the anime series that exist today. I made a drawing simply with a pencil as a way to pay tribute to the person who made my childhood a happy and unforgettable moment of my life, I hope you like it.
Hola queridos amigos, esta semana ha sido triste para todos los amantes y fanáticos del anime, en especial de Dragon Ball, pues el ha fallecido Akira Toriyama, el mangaka padre de Son Gokú, el día de ayer fue el anuncio oficial de su muerte por lo que el 8 de marzo derá recordado como el día de Dragón Ball. Millones de personas alrededor del mundo crecimos viendo los personajes que salieron de su imaginación, y que acompañaron por muchos años todas nuestras vivencias, el impacto que ha tenido su desaparición física ha sido inigualable, sin duda una figura que hizo historia y sentó las bases de todas las series animes que existen en la actualidad. Hice un dibujo simplemente con lápiz como una forma de rendir homenaje a quien hizo de mi infancia un momento feliz e inolvidable de mi vida, espero les guste.

I used only two pencils, a 2H to make the sketch and a 2B for shading and contours. I made some lines as guides and some circles, which I shaped as the drawing progressed.
Utilicé solo dos lápiz, uno 2H para hacer el boceto y uno 2B para sombreado y contornos. Hice unas líneas como guías y algunos círculos, los cuales fui dándole forma a medida que el dibujo iba avanzando.

I also included a small image of Goku when he was a child on the right side of the drawing. While I was giving shape to the lines that had already served as guides, I was erasing them little by little.
También incluí una pequeña imagen de Gokú cuando era un niño al lado derecho del dibujo. Mientras le iba dando forma las líneas que ya me habían servido como guías las iba borrando poco a poco.

As I mentioned at the beginning, I used a 2B pencil to draw outlines and for shading, or the first layers of shading. So with this pencil I highlight the entire silhouette of the drawing, both inside the face and the rest.
Como mencione al principio, utilicé un lápiz 2B para dibujar contornos y para el sombreado, o las primeras capas del sombreado. Así que con este lápiz voy remarcando toda la silueta del dibujo, tanto dentro del rostro como el resto.

I began to shade the slightly lighter areas with the 2B pencil. But for the hair and other darker areas I used a 4B pencil, charcoal is more intense so it is the best for shading. For shading I used a stroke of fast oblique lines, which is best used for sketching.
Comencé a sombrear con el lápiz 2B las zonas por así decirlo un poco más claras. Pero para el cabello y otras zonas más oscuras utilicé un lápiz 4B, el carbón es más intenso así que es lo mejor para sombrear. Para el sombreado utilicé un trazo de líneas oblicuas rápidas, lo que mejor se utiliza para el boceto.

Finally I draw Goku, who is crying, this happened in a chapter where he met his grandfather who had died again. So it was finished.
Por último dibujo a Goku, quien está llorando, esto sucedió en un capítulo donde volvió a encontrarse con su abuelo que había muerto. Así quedo finalizado.
FINAL WORK
This is how this drawing by Akira Toriyama was finished, Dragon Ball was the story that prompted me to want to draw, I always wanted to draw Goku and all his friends and I spent years trying to learn, every time I saw a new chapter it was a lesson for me. So in a way, I am here doing what I am passionate about thanks to the work of this man, and I am sure that around the world there are millions of stories similar to mine. Without a doubt a legend, to whom I will be forever grateful, I hope you liked my drawing. Arigato Sensei Akira!
Así quedó terminado este dibujo de Akira Toriyama, Dragon Ball fue la historia que me impulsó a querer dibujar, siempre quería dibujar a Goku y a todos sus amigos y pasé años tratando de aprender, siempre que veía un nuevo capítulo era una enseñanza para mi. Así que de cierta manera, yo estoy aquí haciendo lo que me apasiona gracias a la obra de este señor, y estoy seguro que alrededor del mundo existen millones de historias parecidas a la mía. Sin duda una leyenda, a quien estaré por siempre agradecido, espero que les haya gustado mi dibujo. Arigato Sensei Akira!
