Hellooooo everyone! How are you? Today I'm here a little late but I couldn't miss the opportunity to participate in this contest of the great @CineTV community and tell you about my favorite suspense movie which is one of my favorite genres, and my favorite movie is none other than "When A Stranger Calls" which was released in 2006 and stars Camila Belle.
¡Hoooooola a todos! ¿Como están? Hoy estoy por aquí un poco tarde pero no podía dejar pasar la oportunidad de participar en este concurso de la grandiosa comunidad de @CineTV y hablarles de mi pelicula favorita de suspenso el cual es uno de mis géneros favoritos, y mi pelicula favorita no es otra que "Cuando Un Extraño Llama" la cual fue lanzada en el 2006 y está protagonizada por Camila Belle.
I chose this movie because I remember that it kept me in suspense the first time I saw it, and it still makes me jump off my couch a few times hahaha, I really liked the way they keep us in suspense with everything that happens to the protagonist inside the house and every call she receives (since she is babysitting the children of a doctor with a dream house) because practically just arriving, the ordeal begins with a stranger calling and scaring the girl who, being Alone in such a large house, the great level of panic that can be transmitted is perfectly understandable, since in addition to the calls, the noises that are heard inside the house are also frightening.
Escogí esta pelicula porque recuerdo que me mantuvo mucho en suspenso la primera vez que la ví, y todavía hace que de unos cuantos brincos del sillón jajaja, me gustó mucho la manera en que nos mantienen en suspenso con cada cosa que le pasa a la protagonista dentro de la casa y cada llamada que recibe (ya que ella está de niñera cuidando a los niños de un doctor con una casa de ensueño) porque prácticamente acabando de llegar empieza el suplicio con un extraño llamando y asustando a la chica la cual al estar sola en una casa tan grande es perfectamente entendible el gran nivel de pánico que puede llegar a transmitir, ya que además de las llamadas, los ruidos que se escuchan dentro de la casa son de espantarse también.
What I didn't like about the movie is the level of suffering of the protagonist since it really drives you crazy because being in such a big house, obviously the stalker has it easy to hide without losing sight of the victim, in this Jill Johnson case, and by the way, the police are very slow which lengthens the agony. I really found the performances very good, especially that of Camila Belle who really managed to transmit fear and despair to me during the movie, and I liked how well she managed to create the suspenseful atmosphere. Personally, the first time I saw it I kept expecting that they would show the stalker throughout the film and the fact that it appeared almost at the end of the film was a good move since it is almost at the end where it begins the real fight between Jill and the stalker, and one scene that stuck in my mind is one in which the stalker grabs Jill by the hair which gets stuck in the door she closes, and in order to get free she had to let That the stalker ripped her hair out, I imagine that in real life it must hurt. This movie is one of my favorite thrillers and I think that no matter how many times I see it, it will always give me the same sensations, and that is why it is my choice for this occasion.
Lo que no me gustó de la pelicula es el nivel de sufrimiento de la protagonista ya que de verdad es para enloquecer porque al estar en una casa tan grande, obviamente el acosador la tiene fácil para esconderse sin perder de vista a la victima, en este caso Jill Johnson, y de paso, la policía es bien lenta lo cual alarga la agonía. Las actuaciones realmente me parecieron muy buenas, en especial la de Camila Belle la cual realmente logró transmitirme miedo y desesperación durante la pelicula, y me gustó lo bien que se logró crear el ambiente de suspenso. Yo en lo personal, la primera vez que la vi me mantuve a la espectativa de que mostraran al acosador a lo largo de la pelicula y el que apareciera casi al final de la película fue una buena jugada ya que es casi al final en dónde empieza la verdadera lucha entre Jill y el acosador, y una escena que se quedó en mi mente es una en la que el acosador agarra a Jill por el cabello el cual se queda atascado en la puerta que ella cierra, y para poderse liberar tuvo que dejar que el acosador le arrancara el cabello, imagino que en la vida real debe doler. Esta pelicula es de mis favoritas de suspenso y creo que no importa cuantas veces la vea, siempre me transmitirá las mismas sensaciones, y por eso es mi elección para esta ocasión.
