Hello my dear moviegoing friends! I hope you are very well, today I am here to share with you one more of my favorite cartoons which I used to watch a lot as a child. This is Courage, the Cowardly Dog which was broadcast on Cartoon Network from 1999 to 2002 and was created by John R. Dilworth. I hope you like it.
¡Hola mis queridos amigos cinéfilos! Espero estén muy bien, hoy estoy por aquí para compartir con ustedes una más de mis caricaturas favoritas la cual veía mucho de niña. Se trata de Coraje, el perro cobarde la cual fue transmitida por Cartoon Network desde 1999 hasta el 2002 y fue creado por John R. Dilworth. Espero les guste.

Courage is a very scared dog who lives on a small farm with his owners, Muriel and Eustace Bagge and whose farm is located in the middle of "Nowhere" where scary things happen every day so Courage must put aside his fear to protect not only their home, but also their owners by fighting all strange creatures which many will seek to harm their owners.
Coraje es un perro bastante asustadizo que vive en una pequeña granja con sus dueños, Muriel y Eustace Bagge y cuya granja se ubica en el medio de "Nowhere" en donde ocurren cosas escalofriantes todos los días por lo que Coraje deberá dejar de lado su miedo para proteger no solamente a su casa, sino también a sus dueños combatiendo todas las creaturas extrañas las cuales muchas buscarán hacerles daño a sus dueños.
When I was a child I remember that I really liked horror series and movies, so I liked this one from the first moment, I always looked forward to seeing it in the afternoons and I almost never missed it. The story seems quite good and interesting to me, because although it never scared me, I really liked the idea of creatures like monsters and aliens appearing which made Courage run and although he was always afraid of them, he ended up showing great courage to defend everyone. I really liked when he consulted his computer to find a solution against ghosts and creatures since he always had the answers to everything and sometimes his conversations made me laugh. I like the characters a lot since they are quite funny and have a very good development, I really like Muriel who is always very sweet with Courage, on the other hand, I don't like Eustace a bit since he not only hates Courage calling him "stupid dog" but also because he almost always scares him by wearing an ugly mask but I laughed when Muriel hit him with a rolling pin. Other characters that I liked because despite being secondary are Shirley the medium who sometimes helps Courage, Le Quack the French duck and Katz the red cat.
Cuando era pequeña recuerdo que me gustaban mucho las series y películas de terror por lo que esta me gustó desde el primer momento, siempre la esperaba ansiosa para verla durante las tardes y casi nunca me la perdía. La historia me parece bastante buena e interesante, ya que aunque nunca me llegó a dar miedo, me gustaba mucho la idea de que aparecieran criaturas como monstruos y alienígenas los cuales ponían a Coraje a correr y aunque el siempre les tenía miedo, terminaba demostrando gran valentía para defender a todos. Me gustaba mucho cuando el consultaba a su computadora para buscar una solución contra los fantasmas y criaturas ya que siempre tenía las respuestas para todo y a veces me daba risa sus conversaciones. Los personajes me gustan mucho ya que son bastante graciosos y tienen muy buen desarrollo, me agrada mucho Muriel que siempre es muy dulce con Coraje en cambio, Eustace me cae un poco mal ya que no solamente odia a Coraje llamándolo "estúpido perro" sino también porque casi siempre lo asusta usando una máscara fea pero me reía cuando Muriel le pegaba con un rodillo. Otros personajes que me gustaban porque a pesar de ser secundarios son Shirley la medium que a veces ayuda a Coraje, Le Quack el pato francés y Katz el gato rojo.
I like the animation a lot because despite the fact that many of the characters are flat, I love that the settings have textures and also that they include characters with real images (like the black and white human face that appears in the series), and he has a color palette that works very well for him. I have several favorite episodes but the one I remember the most because it scared me a bit is the one about The Curse of King Ramses since I think that the ghost of Ramses is the character that seemed the most terrifying to me, and even though the episode gave me a little scary (I think he's the only one) I think he's one of the best. Another chapter that I remember is the one about The Queen of the Black Puddle because it's another creature that seemed a bit scary to me, and I remember that one of the chapters that made me laugh the most is the one in which some evil eggplants appear, they seemed very funny to me. In 2021 Courage was brought back to the screen in a crossover with Scooby Doo, since they made a movie which I thought was very good too.
La animación me gusta mucho ya que a pesar de que muchos de los los personajes son planos, me encanta que los escenarios tengan texturas y también que incluyan personajes con imágenes reales (como la cara humana en blanco y negro que sale en la serie), y tiene una paleta de colores que le funciona muy bien. Tengo varios episodios favoritos pero el que más recuerdo porque me dió un poco de miedo es el de La Maldición del Rey Ramsés ya que creo que el fantasma de Ramsés es el personaje que mas aterrador me pareció, y a pesar que el episodio me dió un poco de miedo (creo que es el único) pienso que es uno de los mejores. Otro capitulo que recuerdo es el de La Reina del Charco Negro ya que es otra criatura que me pareció un poco tenebrosa, y recuerdo que uno de los capítulos que mas me hizo reír es en el que salen unas berenjenas malvadas, me parecieron muy graciosas. En el 2021 se trajo de nuevo a Coraje a la pantalla en un crossover con Scooby Doo, ya que hicieron una pelicula la cual me pareció muy buena también.
To conclude, I would say that this cartoon is one of the ones I remember most fondly from Cartoon Network. Currently the channel's programming has deteriorated a lot and I don't watch it anymore, however, I think that if they kept showing it I would keep watching it because no matter how much time passes, I will never stop liking it and I will always find it very funny. I have very good memories of this show as it represents a part of my childhood, and I would like to recommend it to everyone who hasn't seen it yet, I hope you like it as much as I do.
Para concluir, diría que esta caricatura es de las que mas recuerdo con mucho cariño de Cartoon Network. Actualmente la programación del canal ha desmejorado bastante y ya no lo miro sin embargo, creo que si la siguieran pasando seguiría viéndola ya que no importa cuanto tiempo pase, nunca dejará de gustarme y siempre me parecerá muy divertida. Guardo muy buenos recuerdos de este programa ya que representa una parte de mi niñez, y me gustaría recomendársela a todos los que todavía no la han visto, espero que les guste tanto como a mi.
