In his quest to be the "King of the Pirates", Monkey D. Luffy has come across countless evil-doers, who seek to stop his momentum, and that of many others, with whom he has had to fight in order to move forward and also help those who are oppressed by evil and the thirst for revenge.

And even though it was a really complex task, I think I managed to synthesize a pretty tight list of the 5 strongest villains he has had to face, making him think many times that he would not be able to defeat them, although obviously, being the protagonist he always comes out unscathed, but generating a lot of adrenaline in those of us who follow his exploits.

Kaido

This character is really bad. His only mission is to keep the residents of Wano under his thumb, where, along with the dictator of the moment, he has not only enslaved the population, but has also contaminated their land and waters with the toxic waste produced by the arms factories he smuggles around the world.

Its inhabitants die of hunger and thirst, and some, out of desperation, have become beings unable to show their feelings, after eating artificial Devil Fruits that have gone wrong, which they have called Smiles.

His vision is that of the authoritarian leader who only cares about his personal benefit, and who is surrounded by lackeys who seek his permanence in power. Being he a kind of "protector" of the island, against other pirates who may lurk.

Crocodrile

The evil Shichibukai, was the Leader of Baroque Works, a kind of mafia that wanted to take power in the Kingdom of Arabasta, where he had won the trust of its inhabitants by acting as a pseudo hero, although his true intentions were to overthrow Nefertari Cobra, the king of Arabasta.

Also being a user of a Devil Fruit, when his evil comes to light, the confrontations begin, in which Vivi, the king's daughter, is a key piece so that the band of the Straw Hats help them to prevent them from taking power.

Enel

For me, this has been the really most terrible villain. I confess that with him my doubts about how he would be defeated were on the surface. His participation was in the Spypea or Sky Island arc, and his intentions were really vague: he was bad ... because he wanted to.

He considered himself a god, so he justified his actions as pious acts. He was particularly "quiet" but in combat he proved to be very cruel.

Blackbeard

Although his appearances have been few, and he has not had a direct confrontation with Luffy, this character is one of the kings of the sea who really has to be taken seriously.

Ex member of the crew of Shirohige, also called the Hippopotamus (Each king of the sea is associated with an animal) had a certain appearance in the Marineford arc in which Whitebeard dies and this manages to take his power, thanks to the Devil Fruit of which he is user.

Teach is a follower of power at all costs and has no morals whatsoever to achieve his goals, even if that means going against his "friends".

Arlong

This shark was the first villain I came to despise for the terrible nature of his actions. He feels a great repulsion for humans, and after separating from the crew of the Pirates of the Sun, he decides to settle on an island he calls Arlong Park, where he enslaves humans, making them pay monthly to maintain the right to live.

And there are really many more villains throughout the One Piece plot, but this is my personal selection. Maybe there are others who are missing here and you think should be here. Let me know in the comments box.

En su afán por se el "Rey de los Piratas", Monkey D. Luffy se ha encontrado con infinidad de malvados, que buscan frenar su ímpetu, y el de muchos otros, con los cuales ha tenido que pelear para poder avanzar y también ayudar a aquellos que son oprimidos por la maldad y la sed de venganza.

Y aunque fue una labor realmente compleja, creo que he logrado sintetizar una lista bastante ajustada de los 5 villanos más fuertes que ha debido enfrentar, haciendo que por muchas veces pensara que no sería capaz de vencerlos, aunque obvio, siendo el protagonista siempre sale airoso, pero generando mucha adrenalina en quienes seguimos sus hazañas.

#Kaido

Este personaje, es realmente malo. Su única misión es seguir sometiendo a los habitantes de Wano, en donde junto al dictador de turno, se ha encargado no solo de esclavizar a la población, sino también contaminar sus tierras y aguas con los desechos tóxicos producidos por las fábricas de armas que se dedica a contrabandear en el resto del mundo.

Sus habitantes mueren de hambre y sed, y algunos, por desesperación, se han convertido en seres incapaces de mostrar sus sentimientos, luego de comer frutas del diablo artificiales que han salido defectuosas, a las que han llamado Smiles.

Su visión es la del líder autoritario a quien solo le importa su beneficio personal, y que está rodeado de lacayos que buscan su permanencia en el poder. Siendo él una especie de "protector" de la isla, en contra de otros piratas que puedan acechar.

Siendo también usuario de una fruta del diablo, cuando su maldad sale a la luz, empiezan los enfrentamientos, en los que Vivi, la hija del rey forma pieza clave para que la banda de los Sombreros de Paja, los ayuden a evitar que se hagan con el poder.

Enel

Para mi, este ha sido el villano realmente mas terrible. Confieso que con él mis dudas sobre cómo sería vencido estaban a flor de piel. Su participación fue en el arco de Spypea o la isla del cielo, y realmente sus intenciones eran muy vagas: el era malo... porque sí.

Se consideraba a si mismo como un dios, por lo que justificaba sus acciones como actos piadosos. Era particularmente "tranquilo" pero en combates resultaba ser muy cruel.

Barba Negra

Aunque sus apariciones han sido pocas, y no ha tenido un enfrentamiento directo con Luffy, este personaje es uno de los reyes del mar que realmente es de armas tomar.

Ex miembro de la tripulación de Shirohige, el llamado también hipopótamo (Cada rey del mar está asociado a un animal) tuvo una certera aparición en el arco de Marineford en el cual muere Barba Blanca y este logra hacerse con su poder, gracias a la fruta del diablo de la cual es usuario.

Teach es un seguidor del poder a toda costa y no tiene moral alguna para lograr sus objetivos, así eso signifique ponerse en contra de sus "amigos".

Arlong

Este tiburón sierra fue el primer villano a quien llegué a despreciar por lo terrible de sus acciones. Siente un gran repulsión por los humanos, y luego de separarse de la tripulación de los Piratas del Sol, decide establecerse en una isla que hace llamar Arlong Park, en donde esclaviza a los humanos, haciéndolos pagar mensualmente por conservar el derecho a vivir.
