Uno de los aspectos más impactantes y dolorosos de Cien años de soledad es descubrir la trágica historia de los diecisiete Aurelianos. Me sorprendió muchísimo saber cómo murieron de forma tan cruel, recibiendo un disparo directo en la frente, justo en el lugar donde tenían marcada la cruz de ceniza. Pero te estarás preguntando ¿por qué los mataron?, bueno los diecisiete fueron exterminados por las fuerzas del gobierno porque el Coronel Aureliano Buendía amenazó con armarlos para liderar una nueva revolución, lo que llevó a que fueran vistos como una amenaza directa por el régimen de ese momento.
Este libro tiene un contraste maravilloso, así como una manera de escritura diferente y llamativa que logró el autor: escribir entre la fantasía, la ficción y la maldad, a la vez que continuaba con una secuencia impecable de todos los Aurelianos y todos los Arcadios, logrando que uno como lector no perdiera interés y a su vez entenderlo perfectamente a medida que lee. Además, es sorprendente y a la vez tan fantasioso que Remedios la Bella muera de esa manera, envuelta en sábanas blancas.
Para mí, Gabriel García Márquez es uno de mis autores preferidos. De todos sus libros, este es sin duda uno de los que más me ha gustado, y sinceramente lo recomiendo a cualquiera que ame la lectura. ¡Es una verdadera obra maestra! Sin embargo, debo confesar que la historia tiene tantos personajes interesantes que esta reseña se queda corta para hablar de todos.

One of the most shocking and painful aspects of One Hundred Years of Solitude is discovering the tragic story of the seventeen Aurelianos. I was deeply surprised to learn how they died in such a cruel way, receiving a direct shot to the forehead right where they had the ash cross marked. But you might be asking yourself, why were they killed? Well, all seventeen were exterminated by government forces because Colonel Aureliano Buendía threatened to arm them to lead a new revolution, which led to them being seen as a direct threat by the regime at that time.
This book has a wonderful contrast, as well as a different and striking writing style achieved by the author: writing between fantasy, fiction, and cruelty, while maintaining an impeccable sequence of all the Aurelianos and Arcadios, making it impossible for the reader to lose interest while understanding everything perfectly as they read. Furthermore, it is surprising and yet so fantastical that Remedios the Beauty dies in that way, wrapped in white sheets.
For me, Gabriel García Márquez is one of my favorite authors. Of all his books, this is undoubtedly one of the ones I have enjoyed the most, and I sincerely recommend it to anyone who loves reading. It is a true masterpiece! However, I must confess that the story has so many interesting characters that this review falls short of talking about them all.
