Hola amigos de la comunidad de Movies & Tv, espero se encuentren bien el día de hoy. Hace poco termine de ver la cuarta y última temporada de la serie de HBO MAX llamada Succession que sin duda es una serie que te atrapa desde el comienzo de la historia de la familia Roy y sus problemas tanto familiares como personales, me emociono mucho poder haber llegado al final de la serie y aunque tuvo un final un tanto diferente a lo que esperaba realmente me dejó con el pensamiento de que algunas veces por más que persigas el poder este se puede escapar de tus manos fácilmente y que tus propios confidentes y aliados se vuelvan en tu contra. No he visto muchas series de HBO pero está y la de The Last Of Us son de mis favoritas, ahora estoy buscando una nueva serie para ver y si pudieran recomendarme una me gustaría que me lo dejaran en los comentarios. Así que sin más nada que agregar los invito a leer mi reseña de la cuarta temporada de Succession. 😱
Hello friends of the Movies & Tv community, I hope you are well today. I recently finished watching the fourth and final season of the HBO MAX series Succession which is certainly a series that grabs you from the beginning of the story of the Roy family and their family and personal problems, I was very excited to have reached the end of the series and although it had a somewhat different ending than I expected it really left me with the thought that sometimes no matter how hard you chase power it can easily slip through your fingers and your own confidants and allies can turn against you. I haven't seen many HBO series but this one and The Last Of Us are among my favorites, now I'm looking for a new series to watch and if you could recommend one I'd love to hear from you in the comments. La historia como ya algunos conocerán gira en torno a la familia Roy, liderada por el magnate Logan Roy y sus hijos Connor, Kendall, Shiv y Roman, desde el comienzo nunca tuvieron una buena relación familiar ya que su padre Logan Roy fue una persona bastante drástico y poco amoroso a la hora de criarlos y esto se hace saber en un montón de escenas donde entre los hermanos bromean acerca de que su padre es el peor ser del mundo y que realmente nunca estuvo presente en sus vidas, simplemente se encargó de que tuvieran el dinero suficiente para crecer y luego hacerse cargo de Waystar RoyCo la compañia de Logan Roy. En esta nueva temporada hay mucho más drama y momentos de tensión y decisivos dónde la familia se vera envuelta en problemas y la tristeza de perder a su padre Logan Roy luego de pasar por una difícil situación de salud.
The story as some of you may already know revolves around the Roy family, led by tycoon Logan Roy and his children Connor, Kendall, Shiv and Roman, From the beginning they never had a good family relationship since their father Logan Roy was a very drastic and unloving person when it came to raise them and this is made known in a lot of scenes where between the brothers joke about their father being the worst person in the world and that he was never really present in their lives, he just made sure they had enough money to grow up and then take over Waystar RoyCo, Logan Roy's company. In this new season there is much more drama and moments of tension and decisive where the family will be involved in problems and the sadness of losing his father Logan Roy after going through a difficult health situation.
En esta temporada los hermanos Roy van más decididos que nunca al apostar por quién va a ser el nuevo director ejecutivo de la empresa, por un lado está Kendall y Roman quienes desean quedarse con el puesto principal pero por algunos cambios imprevistos como la muerte de su padre Logan Roy que los lleva a pasar por un duelo muy difícil dónde se enfrentan a una nueva realidad dónde ya no tienen a su padre, su ejemplo a seguir y la persona que fue más cruel con sus hijos, entonces empieza una disputa donde según un documento que además tiene algunas palabras tachadas Logan Roy había decidido que fuera Kendall el que tomara las riendas de la empresa pero el documento es algo antigüo y no tienen la forma de corroborar que sea cierto que esa era el último deseo de Logan Roy. Así que todos empiezan a buscar la manera de ver qué sería lo mejor para la empresa pero primordialmente para sus propios beneficios.

Por otro lado está el millonario Lukas Matsson quien está muy interesado en comprar parte de las acciones de la empresa y quien empieza a tener cercanía con Shiv Roy, de tal manera que ambos hablan a espaldas de los hermanos Roy y Shiv aprovecha sus encantos para también quedar con un buen puesto en la empresa si se llegara a vender a Lukas, este siempre le dice que ella es la indicada y que nadie se debe enterar hasta el último momento donde todos deban votar si desean vender la empresa o dejar a Kendall y a Roman como los nuevos jefes ejecutivos. Pero durante toda esta telaraña de engaños y mentiras hay una cercanía entre los hermanos Roy debido a la muerte de su padre Logan, lo que hace que empiecen a apoyarse más o al menos eso es lo que parece al comienzo de esta temporada.
On the other hand there is the millionaire Lukas Matsson who is very interested in buying part of the shares of the company and who begins to have closeness with Shiv Roy, so that both talk behind the backs of the Roy brothers and Shiv takes advantage of his charms to also get a good position in the company if it were to sell to Lukas, he always tells her that she is the right one and that no one should know until the last moment where everyone must vote if they want to sell the company or leave Kendall and Roman as the new chief executives. But during all this web of deceit and lies there is a closeness between the Roy brothers due to the death of their father Logan, which makes them start to support each other more or at least that's what it seems at the beginning of this season.
Podemos ver cómo Shiv continúa luchando con su relación con Tom quien le recuerda que ella no quería una relación sentimental con él y que solo serían una pareja para aparentar ante los demás y así Tom podría conseguir ser el jefe ejecutivo de la empresa, pero Shiv teniendo esta cercanía con Lukas hace que Tom sea un poco más frío y directo con ella aunque en el fondo sigue buscando la manera de conseguir sus propios beneficios sin importar si tiene que traicionar a las personas que han confiado en él. A su vez está Greg quien es el primo de los Roy y que desde el comienzo de la serie aunque se mostraba muy nervioso y con falta de experiencia poco a poco y con el apoyo de Tom fue metiéndose en las situaciones más incómodas y privadas para conseguir más información que pudiera beneficiar tanto a Tom y a él, siempre pensando en que pudiera quedar con un puesto digno dentro de la empresa. Tanto Tom como Greg muestran que después de todo los trapos sucios que tuvieron que ocultar fueron muy astutos y con su unión lograron hacer que los hermanos Roy quedarán desplazados.
We can see how Shiv continues to struggle with her relationship with Tom who reminds her that she did not want a romantic relationship with him and that they would only be a couple to appear to others so Tom could get to be the chief executive of the company, but Shiv having this closeness with Lukas makes Tom a little colder and more direct with her although deep down he is still looking for ways to get his own benefits no matter if he has to betray the people who have trusted him. In turn there is Greg who is the cousin of the Roy and that since the beginning of the series although he was very nervous and lacking experience gradually and with the support of Tom was getting into the most uncomfortable and private situations to get more information that could benefit both Tom and him, always thinking that he could be left with a dignified position within the company. Both Tom and Greg show that after all the dirty laundry they had to hide, they were very astute and with their union they managed to make the Roy brothers be displaced.
Definitivamente esta cuarta temporada esta llena de momentos de incertidumbre y de mucho drama, los capítulos donde muestran el duelo de los hermanos Roy por la muerte de su padre son bastante difíciles de ver ya que podemos ver cómo los hermanos se sienten dolidos y a la vez culpables por no haber sido lo suficientemente buenos para que su padre los amara aunque este siempre decía que lo hacía a pesar de que sus acciones muchas veces demostraban lo contrario. Kendall está muy deprimido y recuerda el suceso dónde por su culpa un joven murió y le cuenta a sus hermanos, estos le dan su apoyo y tratan de que él no pierda la cabeza por esa situación y no vuelva a sus adicciones. Mientras que Roman a pesar que siempre está contando chistes sarcásticos es otro de los hermanos que más ha sufrido y que en algún punto de la serie pierde el control de sus emociones y tiene que escapar de todo ese mundo corporativo para lograr procesar las emociones que está sintiendo ya que su padre ya no está, y además los sentimientos que llegó a sentir por Gerri quien es parte de la empresa y que siempre trato de que Roman olvidara lo que sentia y de enfocara en la empresa.
Definitely this fourth season is full of moments of uncertainty and a lot of drama, the chapters where they show the mourning of the Roy brothers for the death of his father are quite difficult to see as we can see how the brothers feel hurt and at the same time guilty for not having been good enough for his father to love them even though he always said he did despite his actions often proved otherwise. Kendall is very depressed and remembers the event where because of him a young man died and tells his brothers, they give him their support and try to keep him from losing his mind because of that situation and not return to his addictions. While Roman, although he is always telling sarcastic jokes, is another of the brothers who has suffered the most and at some point in the series loses control of his emotions and has to escape from the corporate world to process the emotions he is feeling since his father is no longer there and also the feelings he came to feel for Gerri who is part of the company and who always tried to make Roman forget what he felt and focus on the company.
Esta fue una de mis temporadas favoritas entre las cuatro que salieron, realmente conecte con la historia y con los personajes y sus vidas, pienso que eso es lo que hace que Succession tuviera tanta receptividad positiva ante la audiencia y es que los actores interpretan de una manera magistral a cada uno de los personajes, quienes tienen sus propios problemas y sus inseguridades, también la historia fue muy bien escrita y dirigida cada escena y toma te lleva a sentir la tension que hay dentro de esta familia adinerada que ama profundamente el poder y el dinero y que no conocen otra forma de vivir que la que les enseño su padre. Es una serie que está llena de sarcasmo y bromas hacia el poder y el dinero y que además sorprende con un final inesperado, digamos que a pesar de que los hermanos Roy se unieron no lograron los objetivos que tenían planeados y que al final a cada una le quedó una lección, el último episodio muestra la realidad en la que terminan los hermanos Roy y cómo algunas veces las cosas salen dependiendo de quien sea el más habil para conseguir quedarse con el gran premio.
This was one of my favorite of the four seasons that came out, I really connected with the story and with the characters and their lives, I think that's what makes Succession had so much positive receptivity to the audience and that is that the actors play in a masterful way each of the characters, The story was also very well written and directed, each scene and shot takes you to feel the tension inside this wealthy family that deeply loves power and money and they don't know any other way to live than the one their father taught them. It is a series that is full of sarcasm and jokes towards power and money and that also surprises with an unexpected ending, let's say that even though the Roy brothers got together they did not achieve the goals they had planned and that in the end each one had a lesson left, the last episode shows the reality in which the Roy brothers end up and how sometimes things work out depending on who is the most skillful to get to keep the big prize.
