The series is set in a hypothetical past of the Regency era set in English high society with a powerful queen, Counts, Dukes, Viscontis, noble princes and princesses. The main protagonists are all girls of marriageable age looking for a great match, a little like in Austen's Pride and Prejudice but unlike many similar films or books this series is not serious at all but rather it is really sparkling and vital. The main protagonist is the young and pretty Daphne Bridgerton one of the daughters of the Bridgerton family of counts who makes her debut in society by becoming the Diamond of choice of the Queen which is the most prestigious position for a girl looking for a husband. Daphne is surrounded by a loving family, a very protective older brother, Colin the minion a very naive globetrotter, Eloise an alternative sister who wants to have the same rights as men and also surrounded by other nobles especially the Featherington family with which three sisters also of marriageable age to compete with.

Feliz lunes, confieso que ya había mirado esta serie pero no me convencía porque no es mi género y me resultaba demasiado empalagosa y en cambio la volví a ver estos días con otro ánimo y literalmente me enamoré de ella encontrándola encantadora para el corazón y para los ojos, literalmente adorable, ¡les cuento un poco sobre ella! La serie está ambientada en un pasado hipotético de la época de la Regencia en la alta sociedad inglesa con una poderosa reina, condes, duques, vizcondes, príncipes nobles y princesas. Los personajes principales son todas chicas en edad casadera que buscan un buen partido, un poco como en Orgullo y prejuicio de Austen, pero a diferencia de muchas películas o libros similares, esta serie no es para nada seria, sino más bien muy animada y vivaz. La protagonista principal es la joven y bella Daphne Bridgerton, una de las hijas de la familia del Conde Bridgerton que debuta en sociedad al convertirse en el Diamante de la Reina, el puesto más prestigioso para una chica que busca marido. Daphne está rodeada de una familia amorosa, un hermano mayor muy protector, Colin el minion un trotamundos muy ingenuo, Eloise una hermana alternativa que quiere tener los mismos derechos que los hombres y también rodeada de otros nobles especialmente la familia Featherington con la que compiten tres hermanas también en edad de casarse.

I loved everything about this series produced by Shondaland, a guarantee, the music that is a reworking of modern songs mainly played on the violin, the bright and magnificent clothes, the inclusiveness with a black Duke and many characters of every ethnicity, weight and sex, the simple but well-developed plot and obviously the cast, all really good. For me it's a 10. It's been a long time since I was so excited about a love story. Now I'll start the second season hoping it's as good as the first.

Aunque Daphne es el diamante de la temporada, parece que los pretendientes escasean y su hermano quiere casarla con un hombre repugnante hasta que uno de los solteros más codiciados, el Duque, llega a la ciudad. El Duque rehúye el matrimonio y no quiere casarse, detesta que todas las madres nobles intenten buscarle esposas, así que debido a un malentendido se ve atado a Daphne, deciden hacer un pacto y fingir que están saliendo para que él ya no tenga que sufrir las atenciones de los pretendientes y ella al verla con un Duque se haga más deseable ante otros pretendientes de buena clase. Bueno, no me gustan las historias de amor pero no voy a negar que esta serie me hizo latir el corazón, ¡yo también me enamoré del Duque! Me encantó todo de esta serie producida por Shondaland, una garantía, la música que es una reelaboración de canciones modernas interpretadas principalmente en violín, la ropa brillante y magnífica, la inclusión con un duque negro y muchos personajes de todas las etnias, pesos y sexos, la trama simple pero bien desarrollada y obviamente el elenco, todo realmente bueno. Para mí es un 10. Ha pasado mucho tiempo desde que me emocioné tanto por una historia de amor. Ahora voy a empezar la segunda temporada esperando que sea tan buena como la primera.
