Citadel is one of those series I fall behind although its a very short one with the first season only with six episodes so I'm only two to go, I think this series has to be short in amount of chapter because will all this effects and places where the story happen it does feel like each chapter is part of a James Bond movie or Mission Impossible and I guess that's not cheap also considering the first season is an experiment for a lot of TV series to figure out if it continues or stops, Citadel didn't get much love from viewers with a low score of 6.1 on IMDB and each episode around that score too, I think its because how fake the story is, does feel at times like a GI Joe movie although people may score a GI Joe TV series higher just because of the brand, on this series there are a known actors like Richard Madden, Stanley Tucci, Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Roland Møller, they all have done mid tier films nothing spectacular and that's Citadel too a TV Series with good if not very good action scenes and I think people fail to understand that.

Despite of what the internet says about this series I really enjoy watching it but there are a few actors I didn't like their performance for example Dahlia as Lesley, worst villain and there are times I cant stand Bernard jokes and how Stanley perform the character, everything else looks good to me, I love series where you have to pause, read the characters computer screen or phone to figure out whats going on those details that you cant let pass by, this episode I would give it a solid 7+ since it was pure action for the most part even when it slow down during Abby's interrogation it was intense when Mason was about to kill her brother to get her to talk and better toward the end when Carter join the dots and assume Nadia is behind the missing Oz Key.

Episode 5 of Silo : The Janitor's Boy really tells how the administration, sheriffs and judicial have different interest and agendas for the Silo, for their people, for the structure and the future. The entire plot about the internal conspiracy from why they are really inside the Silo and if the outside is really safe or not is very interesting but every time they mention how they are confine to this space and how its an eternal circle of people been born and die inside the Silo without really seen the outside world, without experiencing what is to be free makes me sad and claustrophobic, the Silo does look big and when they go through the apartments looks like small corridors of a small city within the Silo so its very big although you can go from top to bottom in a single day as they have mention before so compare to been free outside and travel to any country or place you want makes a lot of difference, you are still limited to planet earth but its way more bigger and you get to meet different people every day, see the world, the landscapes, different cities, been free is just more than what they consider free on the Silo, besides they are not really free as George Wilkins thought and probably discover the reason why there is a conspiracy and why they are all tricked into thinking the outside is not safe and how the Silo population is manipulated by those in high hierarchy charges like judicial or the mayor.

On this episode we also know more about Robert Sims from judicial and his ambition, at the end he tells Trumbull how hard was life for him as a kid, as the Janitor Son, his father was a janitor who was proud of his job and how important it was for the Silo despite of what other said but Robert as a kid probably didn't think the same and grew up with that ambition of been important and have power to step over those who look him and his father over the shoulder, now as part of judicial he has got part of that power that he wanted but his ambition is bigger than that, Bernard is there to remind him he is in charge and not Robert, as an intern mayor, I think this intern position was all planed and we are soon to discover how they did it, there has to be a network of spies, mics and cameras around the Silo and probably secret passages, rooms and doors that aloud them to control and do things without people noticing.

I got to say I really enjoy Episode 5 of the Silo: The Janitor's Boy, there was a lot of suspense and the action scenes were intense, on this Episode Sims starts to become an important character of the story, I remember how I mention this before, we start to see how Bernard and Sims are the ones really in charge of the Silo, from the first two episodes when Bernard was introduce he look like a robot, never thought he could be so sleek, sharp and manipulative, how he came up with the story of Ruth and Marnes been in love to change the narrative around the Silo, Sims show his true colors manipulating Paul, Douglas and telling Jules straight to her face how he is going to work to get rid of her and send her back to mechanical. I still don't know who killed Ruth and Marnes, going to watch the episode again if cant figure out then probably on the next episode they will figure out the murder.

Tengo una fascinación especial por las películas apocalípticas y más si tienen que ver con catástrofes que podrían suceder de verdad. No está tan alejado de la realidad la caída de un cometa que destruya el planeta, creo que ya se fantaseo mucho con el fin del mundo en determinadas ocasiones producto de esto mismo. Pero llegado el caso, ojalá contar con un equipo como el de esta película que nos salve de la extinción.

I have a special fascination for apocalyptic movies and more if they have to do with catastrophes that could really happen. It is not so far from reality the fall of a comet that destroys the planet, I believe that the end of the world has already been fantasized about on certain occasions as a result of this very thing. But if it comes to that, I hope we can count on a team like the one in this film to save us from extinction.

Bueno, salvo por uno que está bastante loco y si bien fue el que le dio el toque humorístico a la película, de hecho me reí mucho con él, preferiría omitir su presencia en dicha situación 😅.

Se siente bien volver a ver una película que te gusta y no ves hace bastante tiempo, te hace apreciarla como si fuera la primera vez y todo te parece nuevo. Me di cuenta que estuvo bien realizada y la calidad es excelente a pesar de que ya tiene más de 20 años de haberse estrenado. Ni siquiera tiene grandes efectos especiales y tecnología como la de hoy en día, pero se sintió todo muy real y no tiene nada que envidiarle a las películas más modernas.

It feels good to see again a movie you like and haven't seen for a long time, it makes you appreciate it as if it were the first time and everything seems new to you. I noticed that it was well made and the quality is excellent even though it is more than 20 years old. It doesn't even have great special effects and technology like today, but it all felt very real and has nothing to envy to more modern movies.

La historia también me pareció excelente, más allá de que no sea algo novedoso. Además cuenta con la participación de grandes actores, que quizá algunos ni siquiera lo eran en aquellos tiempos. El protagonista es Bruce Willis y para él si fue un gran momento, también tenemos a un joven Ben Affleck, que déjenme decirles, ahora está casi igual que hace 20 años. También contó con la actuación de Owen Wilson y Steve Buscemi, entre otros. Creo que fue un buen elenco y cada uno se lució en sus actuaciones.

I also thought the story was excellent, even though it is not something new. It also has the participation of great actors, that maybe some of them were not even great in those times. The protagonist is Bruce Willis and for him it was a great moment, we also have a young Ben Affleck, who let me tell you, now looks almost the same as he did 20 years ago. Los momentos de tensión se hicieron sentir, casi parecía una misión imposible y suicida, daba para darle hasta un final más trágico, pero agradezco que no lo hayan hecho. De todos modos, me emocionó el desenlace y no recordaba ese acto heroico final por parte de Harry. Esa conversación que tuvo con su hija es de mis partes favoritas, ahí se vio todo el amor reflejado entre ellos. Creo que estoy en sincronía con lo que leo y veo, ya que hace poco terminé un libro donde se reflejaba la relación entre una hija y su padre.

The tense moments were felt, it almost seemed like an impossible and suicidal mission, it was enough to give it even a more tragic ending, but I'm thankful they didn't do it. Anyway, I was moved by the denouement and I didn't remember that final heroic act on Harry's part. That conversation he had with his daughter is one of my favorite parts, there you saw all the love reflected between them. I think I'm in sync with what I read and watch, as I recently finished a book where the relationship between a daughter and her father was reflected.

Y qué decir de esa banda sonora con ese tema tan característico al final de Aerosmith. Amo esa canción, la cante aun cuando la habían cortado en la televisión. La verdad que disfruté de volver a ver esta película y quedo más que demostrado de que los clásicos nunca pasan de moda.

And what to say about that soundtrack with that signature song at the end by Aerosmith. I loved that song, I sang it even when it was cut on TV. I really enjoyed re-watching this movie and it more than proved that classics never go out of style.

As every other Episode, Episode Six of Drops of God is a storm of mix feelings, at times its very confuse to understand what Alexander was thinking when he thought about all this test and contest, on one side I can see him as a mad man who just want to complicate his children life's more than it is, he never spend time with them as a father when they were adults and now that he is dead may be he came up with this contest to make their life's miserable or he was really a philosophical guy who truly wanted to expand their knowledge and give them the opportunity to continue with his business and legacy but wanted them to be prepare for what was next.

Camille at first was the little ugly duckling, she couldn't smell or taste alcohol but always had that hidden talent, she could turn out to be a great sommelier, she proves himself on this episode because it was not about the taste or smell of the wine, it was the experience,  during the series she and her father have mention how a wine can make you feel happy or sad, once she even said she heard music, I think that's possible changing someone's mood with wine or any other drink depending one what's that make the person react is it the smell, taste or a combination of both, at the end its all a chemistry, the human body can be very impulsive and react different ways to certain combinations of flavor and smell so it was never about the fruits and flowers on the painting it was about the story behind both the painting and the wine Alexander choose to match the painting.

There is something that I should have seen coming and it was Luca interest on the Ledger Guide, on the previous episode he asks Camille to continue with it, I knew it was a great business for him but never though he was using Camille all this time just for the Ledger, I bought the story of how good of a friend he was for Alexander but the truth is that he was doing all this for his own benefit, he knew Camille had no chance against Issei so may be he thought is she wins great I get a hold at Alexander wine collection and she continues with the Ledger that was the first target but then if she doesn't win at least get her to continue with the Ledger Guide so he can keep getting profits from the Ledger Guide also power as all the winemakers on the guide fear Alexander, at least that was the description given by Elisabetta, after the trip to Italy looking for this wine that match the flavors of the painting and understanding it was about the experience and not the flavor or smell, Camille also understood that the Ledger Guide was dangerous and hold too much power over wine makers so she didn't want to continue it, she told Luca it was her final decision and this is when he who her his true face, got mad as fuck, yell at her, told her how he would make sure she get crush by Issei and loose, throw her out of his restaurant and show her he was manipulating her all this time.

Episodes are not more balance between Issei and Camille, at first it was all Camille but on this episode we get more drama from the Tomine Diamonds, with his father gone Issei start investigating the reasons and how his parents got together to find out his real father is Alexander, without physicals proof yet but things start to make sense so he put his mother Honka "on the horns of a dilemma" either she tells him the truth or he takes his father comb for a DNA test and figure out the truth by himself, she had to give in to keep it a secret just between them to avoid public shame since she is part of a very proud family.

Fares Fares is a brilliant Swedish-Lebanese actor whose flimography ranges from major international productions to Swedish films or series. His pronounced facial features make him a very powerful actor in front of the camera, always standing out in any character he plays, although I find he fits very well in both cop and villain roles.

The last thing I had seen of Fares Fares as an actor was The Partisan, an excellent miniseries I reviewed some time ago. His filmography is extensive and I recommend that you look it up and enjoy many productions where the actor lends his talent to the development of the story.

On this occasion, in addition to playing one of the main characters, he has put himself in the director's chair, demonstrating that he not only has acting talent, but also has a firm hand to stand out as a director and has chosen a powerful and intimate thriller, to tell us that we should keep him in mind behind the cameras.

I stumbled upon the film by chance, I'm a little clueless about new releases. It is a Netflix movie, something that can play against, but in the midst of so much mediocre production that has that platform, there are some that can be rescued . thank goodness that in this case the film is remarkable, but keep in mind that it is a very Swedish film. Fares Fares es un brillante actor sueco-libanés cuya flimografía abarca desde grandes producciones internacionales hasta películas o series suecas. Sus marcados rasgos faciales le convierten en un actor muy potente ante la cámara, destacando siempre en cualquier personaje que interpreta, aunque considero que encaja muy bien tanto en papeles de policía como de villano.

Lo último que había visto de Fares Fares como actor fue El partisano, una excelente miniserie que reseñé hace un tiempo. Además de algunas películas de la saga del expediente Q. Su filmografía es extensa y recomiendo que la busques y disfrutes de muchas producciones donde el actor presta su talento al desarrollo de la historia.

En esta ocasión, además de interpretar a uno de los personajes principales, se ha puesto en la silla de director, demostrando que no sólo tiene talento interpretativo, sino que también tiene mano firme para destacar como director y ha elegido un thriller potente e intimista, para decirnos que debemos tenerle en cuenta detrás de las cámaras.

Me topé con la película por casualidad, ando lago despistado con los nuevos estrenos. Es una película de Netflix, algo que puede jugar en contra, pero en medio de tanta producción mediocre que tiene esa plataforma, hay algunas que se pueden rescatar . menos mal que en este caso la película es notable, pero hay que tener en cuenta que es una película muy sueca. Algunas de las situaciones que vemos en la historia son muy propias de esa cultura.

But no, this is a film that dwells on the details of the characters, something I personally like a lot.

It highlights the balance between the classic thriller in which the plot starts with a hostage situation and we are kept in expectation of what is going to happen, the way the police act in this type of cases and how the negotiations with the criminal get more and more heated. It is not a film that will go down in history, but for a good time in extreme tension, it is ideal.

Una situación con rehenes. Tres personajes, cada uno con sus propias motivaciones, iniciarán un viaje en el que cada uno expiará sus demonios y buscará la redención. Respetando los códigos del Thriller, la tensión se mantiene todo el tiempo, pero también hay espacio para el drama íntimo de los personajes. La película se centra en ellos, haciendo hincapié en sus motivaciones, sentimientos y comportamiento. Si hicieran esto en Hollywood, se inclinarían por darnos un espectáculo de acción, explosiones, tiroteos, etc. Pero no, es una película que se detiene en los detalles de los personajes, algo que personalmente me gusta mucho.

Destaca el equilibrio entre el thriller clásico en el que la trama arranca con una situación de rehenes y se nos mantiene a la expectativa de lo que va a ocurrir, la forma de actuar de la policía en este tipo de casos y cómo las negociaciones con el criminal se van calentando cada vez más. No es una película que vaya a pasar a la historia, pero para pasar un buen rato en tensión extrema, es ideal.

The Wheel of Time, probably my favorite TV series with House of The Dragon, the second one soon to have its second season but be sure that The Wheel of Time doesn’t fall short. The Wheel of Time is a now a TV Series based on the book series of the same name by Robert Jordan, as most of the time I have not read any of the books, from what I have look up on its Fandom page its a fifteen book series that started back on 1990, a world full of magic where women for the most part are the ones in control of the power, the ones that can wild The One Power, men are usually the destructive side of the story, the very few men that can wild the power usually end up corrupt close to destroying everything on their path and its the mission of the Aes Sedai, to stop this men drunk in power but there is a prophesy that the Dragon will be reborn, the Dragon is the champion of light that will fight against The Dark One who has come to earth to destroy it.

Moiraine Damodred (the women in blue) took Rand al Thor (top right white bold guy) to The Eye of The World to fight the dark one, she thought that the Rand was the Dragon, the chosen one, it seem that the five kids she took under her wing back on season one they are all powerful but who is the real Dragon, Rand tried to fight Ishmael but he doesn’t have the experience, training or power to do so, after the encounter with Ishamael they all split and are now on their own path. Moiraine was probably the one who took the worst part as she cant not touch the power anymore and her Warder, Lan Mandragoran, the warrior who protects her, each Aes Sedai usually has a Warder to protect her but there are few exceptions, their bond has been broken leaving Lan with a lot of questions and Moiraine in solitude as she now feels empty inside.

At the beginning of season 2, Ishamael is seen with a girl who was initially running away from three Trolloc that were in the yard of the place she was staying, inside there was a meeting from different people who were cover up in black ropes, the Dark Social meeting. Ishamael takes the girl outside and show her that the Trolloc is probably afraid, he is not a monster and both pet the Trolloc.

Latter during the episode the same girl was been chase by Padan Fain who was seen at the Dark Social meeting, he smile at her but latter on he was seen chasing her, I wonder if she is the Dragon or this are scenes from another time and the girl is just a representation of a future Aes Sedai.

At The White Tower Aes Sedai fight for power, they all do in some way, Liandrin Guirale is part of the Red Ajah, those Aes Sedai who police the misuse of the power, they have no Warder and are very powerful, Liandrin has shown in season one how she show no mercy for the enemy, she is trying to show Nynaeve her true power because she thinks she is the best weapon that has come to their door step in over a thousand years, the perfect weapon against The Dark One, she tries to make Nynaeye to focus her anger and wild the power but she sort of understand Liandrin just wants to manipulate her.

Next to Liandrin is Mat, who is in a very comfortable “jail” because he has a history of taking a dagger from a place that was full of shadows, shadows that belong to The Dark One, he got posses by this dark power that was on the dagger but at the same time he was feeding from it becoming more powerful like he was destine to use the dark power, now Mat is under observation, prisoner at The White Tower, seems that Liandrin is the one in charge to watch him.

I didn’t expect episode one to be full of action, this are very sad moments for Moiraine and Lan, moments to meditate and figure out whats coming next now that she is in disadvantage since she cant wild the power, we don’t know where all other five main characters are so there are five stories to talk about probably during the first three episodes, we get close to four of them but mainly just Egwene and Nynaeve the most part, there still Rand, Mat and Perrin story after Rand went to The Eye of The World, Moiraine has been exile from The White Tower but she has decided to go back even if she dies trying and that’s what almost happen close to the end of episode one, I’m sure she wont die that easy but Land had some work to do, I didn’t want to spoil the only action scene of the episode.

En esta quinta (y espero última) película de esta franquicia, llamada "Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny", en dónde veremos cómo el Dr. Jones es ya un hombre mayor, solitario y abrumado por los cambios que ha experimentado el mundo, eso se hace cada vez más evidente su retiro como profesor de arqueología en la Universidad Hunter Collage, pero justamente en lo que es su última clase, una inesperada visita le hará conectarse con un mundo que no extrañaba, pero por su experiencia en haber vivido tantas aventuras, se le hará inevitable ayudar a una vieja amiga a recobrar un artefacto que está bajo el poder de viejos enemigos y es por eso que nuevamente Indiana Jones deberá tomar su látigo y su sombrero y hacer todo lo posible e imposible y salvar al mundo.

Por primera vez en esta franquicia, un film de Indiana Jones no es dirigido por Steven Spielberg; para este nuevo film, el rol de director lo obtuvo James Mangold, quien ha dirigido films cómo "3:10 to Yuma", "Ford v Ferrari", "The Wolverine" y "Logan"; hago referencia en específico a esos cuatro films porque son los que poseen muchas secuencias de acción y si hay algo que caracteriza las películas de Indiana Jones, las impresionantes escenas de acción. Para esta película, Mangold crea buenas escenas llenas de acción y hay otras que se aprecia la idea por lo dinámicas que son, pero a la vez el uso del CGI es tan pobre que hace imposible disfrutar esas escenas; en mi opinión se extienden mucho y pasa de caricaturescas a ridículas y no hacen justicia a un film que se estaba manejando muy bien con respecto a la historia.

El guion es escrito por Mangold, junto a Jez Butterworth, John-Henry Butterworth y David Koepp; creo que en mayor parte del film, me gustó la historia, me gustó la imagen que proyecta el personaje de Indiana para ese tiempo en la historia de los Estados Unidos; se nota que es un hombre que no hay nada que lo motive, que está solo y lleno de culpa; eso se oculta con el humor típico de esta franquicia y aprecio que haga aparición en esta película; lo otro es que se use toda características, los enemigos peligrosos y por supuesto inoportunos, su locura y también la locura de Indiana y sus aliados; mi única crítica es lo poco sutil en que la historia resuelve ciertas cosas, en dónde todo aparece o se logra porque sí, mi problema está en que se usa eso en muchas ocasiones.

For the first time in this franchise, an Indiana Jones film is not directed by Steven Spielberg; for this new film, the role of director is taken by James Mangold, who has directed films like "3:10 to Yuma", "Ford v Ferrari", "The Wolverine" and "Logan"; I refer specifically to those four films because they are the ones that have many action sequences and if there is something that characterizes the Indiana Jones films, the impressive action scenes. For this movie, Mangold creates good scenes full of action and there are others that you can appreciate the idea because of how dynamic they are, but at the same time the use of CGI is so poor that makes it impossible to enjoy those scenes; in my opinion they are too extended and go from cartoonish to ridiculous and do not do justice to a film that was being handled very well with respect to the story.

The screenplay is written by Mangold, along with Jez Butterworth, John-Henry Butterworth and David Koepp; I think for the most part of the film, I liked the story, I liked the image the character of Indiana projects for that time in American history; you can tell he is a man with nothing to motivate him, he is lonely and guilt ridden; That is hidden with the typical humor of this franchise and I appreciate that it appears in this film; the other thing is that all characteristics are used, the dangerous and of course unwelcome enemies, their madness and also the madness of Indiana and his allies; my only criticism is the lack of subtlety in which the story resolves certain things, where everything appears or is achieved just because, my problem is that it is used on many occasions.

Las actuaciones no son buenas, todos cumplen con los clichés impuestos en la franquicia, en especial Harrison Ford que solo dice las líneas de los diálogos sin mostrar ningún interés por Interpretar tan icónico personaje, él lo hizo icónico con su imagen y a pesar de que según estaba interesado en mostrar una versión de este personaje en una edad mayor, creo que Mangold con sus muchas escenas de acción quería demostrar que la edad no influye en este personaje y eso evito que hubiera una empatía por lo que sufre Indiana en esta historia, dolores peores que el de hacerse viejo. Los demás personajes cumplen con los clichés; uno de esos casos es la interpretación de Phoebe Waller-Bridge como "Helena Shaw"; una mujer fuerte, ágil, inteligente y divertida; claramente no es la damisela en peligro y es una buena adición a esta franquicia; ahora, por parte de los villanos, Mads Mikkelsen es un buen villano, me gustó su actuación como "Jürgen Voller", cumple con la obsesión, la necesidad de competir, de hacer todo lo posible para alcanzar o cumplir su misión, para mí, es junto a Waller-Bridge, los que mejor actúan.

The performances are not good, they all comply with the clichés imposed on the franchise, especially Harrison Ford who only says the lines of the dialogues without showing any interest in playing such an iconic character, he made it iconic with his image and even though he was interested in showing a version of this character in an older age, I think that Mangold with his many action scenes wanted to show that age does not influence this character and that avoided that there was an empathy for what Indiana suffers in this story, worse pains than getting old. The other characters fulfill the clichés; one of those cases is the interpretation of Phoebe Waller-Bridge as "Helena Shaw"; a strong, agile, intelligent and funny woman; she is clearly not the damsel in distress and is a good addition to this franchise; now, on the villains side, Mads Mikkelsen is a good villain, I liked his performance as "Jürgen Voller", he fulfills the obsession, the need to compete, to do everything possible to achieve or accomplish his mission, for me, he is next to Waller-Bridge, the best performers.

Este quinto film de "Indiana Jones" es regular y está en la última posición de esta franquicia, no es mejor que su predecesora la cual considero un mejor cierre para ese personaje; posiblemente esta era una película que nadie espero, pero creo que Walt Disney Pictures está convencida en que la nostalgia y el Fanservice puede con todo, puede generar una gran cantidad de dinero sin importar la calidad del producto y lamentablemente, este personaje en su última historia pasará a ser un ejemplo más en lo que parece ser evidente, me refiero al cansancio que experimenta el público de ver muchas secuelas de un mismo personaje o no ver algo nuevo y bien hecho. Mi aprecio a "Indiana Jones" es grande, este debe ser uno de los primeros héroes icónicos que puse seguir, el primer héroe sin la necesidad de usar capa o una máscara, pero si usando como fieles compañeros a su sombrero, chaqueta (en la mayoría de veces) y su látigo, no puede dejar atrás su clásico tema musical, quien acompañaba en sus aventuras, tema que siempre tarareaba al momento de hacer alguna travesura de niño, justamente ese aprecio me hizo disfrutar de este film que a pesar de no ser el mejor, me alegro nuevamente ver al arqueólogo más famoso del cine.

This fifth film of "Indiana Jones " is regular and is in the last position of this franchise, it is not better than its predecessor which I consider a better closure for that character; possibly this was a movie that nobody expected, but I think Walt Disney Pictures is convinced that nostalgia and fanservice can do anything, can generate a lot of money regardless of the quality of the product and unfortunately, this character in his last story will become another example of what seems to be evident, I mean the fatigue experienced by the public to see many sequels of the same character or not see something new and well done. My appreciation for "Indiana Jones" is great, this must be one of the first iconic heroes that I put to follow, the first hero without the need to wear a cape or a mask, but using as faithful companions his hat, jacket (most of the time) and his whip, can not leave behind his classic theme song, who accompanied his adventures, theme that always hummed at the time of making some mischief as a child, just that appreciation made me enjoy this film that despite not being the best, I'm glad to see again the most famous archaeologist of cinema.

I saw this story a couple of months ago. I stumbled upon it by chance, I don't think it didn't have much circulation. I saw it without great expectations and its first episode caught me and did not let me go until the end, after intense plot twists that will surprise the viewer.

When things are done well, they have to be said. The work of David Victori and Jordi Vallejo, as creators, deserves to be recognized. Both are consolidating a career in Spanish fiction and have participated in many excellent titles. There is a predilection for thrillers.

Nothing is what it seems. You can't believe anything you see. Everything is biased by the point of view of the one who tells the facts that make up the mystery of the story. What has happened, is everyone lying? Who is telling the truth? The six witnesses to the crime could turn from victims to accomplices. The police will have a lot of work to do to solve an increasingly tangled mystery.

Six bus passengers, a mysterious vigilante, dead robbers, two cops determined to solve the case. All walking a fine line between truth and lies. Contradictions, different versions, different points of view, which cause surprise in the viewers each time the truth emerges episode by episode.

Although some situations may seem a bit forced, the goal of keeping us attentive to everything that happens is achieved. There is an episode near the end that seemed a bit weak to me, but precisely after that comes the big plot twist that will leave us with our mouths open.

On previous occasions I have said that great Spanish productions are being made, in various genres and it is again demonstrated with this miniseries that can be enjoyed in streaming on Disney+.

Vi esta historia hace un par de meses. Me topé con ella por casualidad, creo que no tuvo mucha difusión. La vi sin grandes expectativas y su primer episodio me atrapó y no me soltó hasta el final, tras intensos giros argumentales que sorprenderán al espectador.

Cuando las cosas se hacen bien hay que decirlas. El trabajo de David Victori y Jordi Vallejo, como creadores, merece ser reconocido. Ambos están consolidando una carrera en la ficción española y han participado en muchos y excelentes títulos. Hay una predilección por el thriller.

Nada es lo que parece. No puedes creer nada de lo que ves. Todo está sesgado por el punto de vista de quien cuenta los hechos que conforman el misterio de la historia. ¿Qué ha pasado, todos mienten? ¿Quién dice la verdad? Los seis testigos del crimen podrían pasar de víctimas a cómplices. La policía tendrá mucho trabajo para resolver un misterio cada vez más enredado.

Seis pasajeros de autobús, un misterioso justiciero, ladrones muertos, dos policías decididos a resolver el caso. Todos caminando por una fina línea entre la verdad y la mentira. Contradicciones, diferentes versiones, distintos puntos de vista, que causan sorpresa en los espectadores cada vez que la verdad emerge episodio a episodio.

Aunque algunas situaciones puedan parecer un poco forzadas, se consigue el objetivo de mantenernos atentos a todo lo que sucede. Hay un episodio cerca del final que me pareció un poco flojo, pero precisamente después llega el gran giro argumental que nos dejará con la boca abierta.

En anteriores ocasiones he dicho que se están haciendo grandes producciones españolas, en diversos géneros y se vuelve a demostrar con esta miniserie que se puede disfrutar en streaming en Disney+.

Nobody cares about the truth

That's the phrase uttered by police chief Victoria Jordan. A lapidary sentence full of truth. Neither society nor the rulers care about the truth. These opposites feed each other with their own lies. They are only interested in bringing to light what benefits some and what interests others.

The manipulation of the media, voracious creatures hungry to give the news that make them sell and be in the limelight. For them the truth does not exist, they construct the truth that the public will devour with fruition, to satisfy their morbid curiosity. For a long time now, the news have become a spectacle. If you think I exaggerate, you only have to see how some crimes in Spain have become a media circus. Even now they have set up a whole show with the son of a Spanish actor who committed a horrendous crime in Thailand.

Those in power are also in charge of fabricating their own truth, no matter if innocent people are harmed. And when that truth tries to come to light, they will use all their god to prevent it, because they have to cover up all the mistakes committed in the past that could damage their image and reputation. Nothing better than a waste of the system to be the scapegoat and guilty of everything.

Fear. The most powerful weapon to hide the truth and create a new narrative. The fear of hurting loved ones, the fear of losing what is most precious. This is what some will use to make a big lie become truth. But nothing is perfect and there will be loose ends. When that fear is overcome, everything will explode.

A nadie le importa la verdad

Esa es la frase pronunciada por la jefa de policía Victoria Jordan. Una frase lapidaria llena de verdad. Ni a la sociedad ni a los gobernantes les interesa la verdad. Estos opuestos se alimentan mutuamente con sus propias mentiras. Sólo les interesa sacar a la luz lo que beneficia a unos y lo que interesa a otros.

La manipulación de los medios de comunicación, criaturas voraces hambrientas de dar las noticias que les hagan vender y estar en el candelero. Para ellos la verdad no existe, construyen la verdad que el público devorará con fruición, para satisfacer su morbosa curiosidad. Hace tiempo que los telediarios se han convertido en un espectáculo. Si creen que exagero, sólo tienen que ver cómo algunos crímenes en España se han convertido en un circo mediático. Incluso ahora tienen montado todo un show con el hijo de un actor español que cometió un horrendo crimen en Tailandia.

Los que están en el poder también se encargan de fabricar su propia verdad, sin importar si se perjudica a personas inocentes. Y cuando esa verdad intente salir a la luz, usarán todo su dios para impedirlo, porque tienen que tapar todos los errores cometidos en el pasado que puedan dañar su imagen y reputación. Nada mejor que un desecho del sistema para ser el chivo expiatorio y culpable de todo.

El miedo. El arma más poderosa para ocultar la verdad y crear una nueva narrativa. El miedo a herir a los seres queridos, el miedo a perder lo más preciado. Esto es lo que algunos utilizarán para hacer que una gran mentira se convierta en verdad. Pero nada es perfecto y habrá cabos sueltos. Cuando se supere ese miedo, todo explotará.
