Black Knight is a 2023 dystopian science fiction action series from South Korea centering the story of a “ delivery” man who delivers oxygen after earth was hit by a comet.

The story is set after 40 years since the accident.In this new world, The Korean Peninsula turned into a desert and only 1% of South Koreans survived the aftermath. The rest of the people survived through the polluted air with an invention called “ Air Core” in which it turns Oxyanium into oxygen. On top of scarce resources, eventually these survivors are divided into General, Special, Core and they all have a QR code implanted in their hand.

Somehow, there are people who are called “ The Refugees” who live outside the dome and they have to survive wearing mask, lack of of oxygen, and also dealing with starvation. These refugees resorted robbing from “ delivery men” who deliver oxygen and necessities to keep survivors (General,Special,Core) survived. These attackers are called “Hunters” and deliverymen must be tough because they have to fight brutality of these hunters and deliver the package safely.

Then, enters 5-8, the narrator of the story, the protagonist, who is a refugee turned into delivery men. He is called the legendary 5-8 because he gets the job done. The conflict centers around a big corporation called Cheonmyeong Group, the company who supplies and monopolizes the oxygen and food. Inside the company there is a father and son’s conflict, The Chairman Ryu Jae-Jin was intending that his invention was for everyone but his son (Ryu Seok ) who is quite misanthropic, only wanted the select few to enjoy the benefit from the new world.So, the son made a few plan including mass murder to killing with vaccination program to kill the refugee. Black Knight eventually works with a major in the military to end Ryu Seok and his evil plans.

5-8, the legendary deliveryman is played by Kim Woo-bin.In my opinion, casting him in this movie was a good choice. He has that “delinquent” and “mysterious” look and he is especially fashionable. In this whole series, fashion is something that I want to highlight especially if you’re into dystopian, cyberpunk, and streetwear fashion in film.

In this film, the delivery men wear a hat that refers to the district they’re responsible for, an oversized parka, and a techwear mask. The colors are mostly in a darker and/or metallic palette.

Some delivery men especially the insurgent deliverymen such as 5-8(kim Woo Bin) also sometimes wears black hooded pound jacket.Meanwhile in this film, the style of the military was kept similar to current camo tactical style except it’s quite oversized.

While the regular citizens dress as usual, the refugees dress quite differently. Having to live outside the core district, they wear scarfs, oversized hoodies or dusty and scruffy parkas. The refugees also wear it with more colors than the delivery men.

These fashion choices are quite practical compared to most cyberpunk themes fillm out there. They all look pretty comfortable to wear and especially in a place where it’s often less than 30C in terms of temperature. I personally want the hat and the oversized parka, it just looks that good.

Meanwhile the story has quite a plot hole here and there including some flaws but to me, the fashion and the soundtrack kept me hooked.

Just to add some more context, sometimes I watch series not because of the story but because of the soundtracks and also the fashion. Such as this, Black knight where I not only enjoy the action scenes, the guns, the futuristic look to the smartphone, I enjoy the display of the fashion as well.The series runs only for 6 episodes, quite a typical Netflix South Korean and I have to say, I want and need more. I simply demand for Black Knight 2 and hoping they will create another sequel to it. If you want to check out some of the soundtrack, this playlist has highlighted some of the good ones.

That being said, even if you’re not into any cyberpunk fashion in series, this series is still worth checking out too.

The big bag theory used to be popular back then and safe to say, half of zillennial grew up with it. It used to be one of my favorite series. Sadly though, I changed my mind when Young Sheldon started airing back in 2017. It is the prequel to the Big Bang Theory starring Jim parsons that tells about the life of 5 remarkable individuals mostly PhD.D and scientists. It has 12 seasons and even Elon Musk and some scientist cameos were in it too. Meanwhile Young Sheldon only has 6 seasons and it started when the main series was still on-going as well. The only difference is that, it focuses on the life of Sheldon Cooper which was fairly more intriguing and wholesome.

Young Sheldon sets the story in Texas, where he grows up with his siblings, meemaw, and her parents. As a young kid, Sheldon is a child prodigy and was gifted. However, he has social issues and is low in EQ. The series follows the journey of his parents dealing with Sheldon, a gifted child from a middle class family. It hinted in the series that technically, the parents (Marry Cooper and George Cooper) are not necessarily smart and they wonder, how they are blessed with an extremely gifted child. Meanwhile his siblings were often left alone and feeling a lot more isolated and neglected as their parents and even their meemaw often focuses on Sheldon. These dynamics within the family was intriguing too as though parents aren’t perfect the show teaches us it’s not easy having a child prodigy in the house, as though they tried their best, they still make mistakes. After all,they’re human too!

When compared to the main series, Big Bang Theory, this series was like that warm fuzzy feeling. It is wholesome, comedic, and a go-to series when you need a good laugh and a positive dose. Shot in warm color and featuring vintage dresses and style of early 90’s, it makes you want to go back in time where though a family might be quite dysfunctional but they stick together through thick and thin.

I don’t necessarily agree that people criticizing how Sheldon parents brought him up and how he was coddled. I think it’s one of the power from the series where it doesn’t attempt to portray anything perfect, or how a perfect parents should have. These room for criticism is very humane as the parents have tried their best being accommodating to their gifted children. Each of actors in this drama really makes you feel like they’re a family and they invite you to look into their slices of life.

While I sympathize with the main character, I also sympathize with the siblings. They are also full of life and this series, doesn’t forget to emphasize their life without making the story and character development jumbled all over the place. What I love about this series is also the fact that they can be watched randomly and you can pick and choose which episodes to watch without necessarily picking a rigid seasonal episode.

If Big bang theory can be quite insufferable to watch, Young sheldon masks Sheldon’s flaws with his family behaviors and interaction. It makes the show less boring than how old Sheldon interacts with his surrounding. I am also biased as I love the fashion style and the color that this series has compared to the parent series. This one has vintage look to it and I am sucker for yellow-ish tinted film/series. So yes, It’s why I prefer to watch and re-watch Young Sheldon compared to The Big Bang Theory.

After season one it was hard to know what really happen to Rand al Thor, doubly but probably the main character on the series I say doubly because it was Moiraine who choose him to be the most powerful out of the five she took from The Two Rivers, after all the one who did show her powers but could not control them as most was Nynaeve, on top of looking, describe by Liandrin

The most powerful weapon they got in the last thousand years against The Dark One.

Rand was the one chosen to travel The Eye of The world and meet The Dark One, at that point The Dark One vanish, the heart stone brakes and team WOT (Rand, Moiraine, Lan) are disoriented now knowing what all this means and what will happen next, Rand looks back like "I'm getting the fuck out of here" and walks back into the forest. After his encounter with The Dark One he started dreaming, nightmares, things from the future, that could not let him sleep, besides he now works at an asylum, he is probably trying to get away from reality because he fears what he could do with this power that he posses but cant control and doesn't understand, on his dreams he kill all his friends and wakes up with blood in his hands not knowing what he did or why.

The situation between Moiraine and Lan is not getting any better, Episode One describe the silence and treatment Moiraine has against Lan, after she lost her powers is like she turn into a sad women who just wants to be alone and Lan cant sense her anymore so he has no idea whats going on with her.

Egwene finally understands why she cant move forward why she cant keep developing her powers and is probably envy and jealousy for Nynaeve, but she could not get to this conclusion alone, we most of the time cant see things from a different perspective and its her new partner at The White Tower who open her eyes and made her understood she has to stop and reorganize her thoughts if she wants to continue and success.

Far away from everyone else Perrin is having an adventure of his own, he and Loial became very close, both join a quest to find The Horn of Valere, a horn use to call heroes to battle when the time comes, with him are Loial, Uno Monesta and Lord Yakota, on season one Perrin as the rest of this friends started to wake up his powers but doesn't control them or understand them, from what I can tell he is what they call a tracker, he can sense when things had happen and for now he can see the past, not sure if he could see the future like Min Farshaw does. Perrin and the group of warriors he is with arrive to a place that seem to be raided by someone or something, they are guided by a tracker just like him, on this place is the second time Perrin show his powers, he sees exactly what happen but was confuse, he could not distinct from reality at first until he wakes up and find himself with the rest of the guys in the same room instead of the people he watch sitting at the table, on episode one not only the same thing happen but he also saw the girl that was with Ishamael and now he sees how a Shadowspawn was at the same room killing everyone.

What ever was on that place also killed the Shadowspawn, what makes me think it was probably Padin Fain, Im not sure exactly what is his purpose but he does seem to do erratic things like chasing the girl that was with Ishamael or playing been friends with Perrin at the Two Rivers, he reminds me a lot to Loky, does have that trickster vibes.

Rand working at the asylum is a way of escaping his reality, his life has change a lot since he got out of Two Rivers with the rest of his friends, discover his powers that he had no idea it exist but now the very same powers makes him violent at times, loose control of himself, this is something Liandrin mention on season one, male who can touch the power usually go insane, the case of who they called The False Dragon, a man Logain Ablar who I thought we would never see again on the series.

There are a few things on this episode that you might think are coincidence but in my opinion they were perfectly planned mostly by Liandrin, she have been talking to Nynaeve and Mat, trying to sweet their ears with different agendas for both, she thinks Mat is the Dragon and will loose himself again and in the case of Nynaeve she wants to weaponize her.

Mat block cell neighbor was Min Farshaw a women who can have visions about peoples future, describe by herself sometimes they can change and sometimes end up been real, in my opinion Liandrin did this on purpose to figure out what will Mat be capable in the future, Mat open a hole on the wall and got Min to spend some time with him and before she left had this vision of Mat stabbing Rand with the same blade consume him on season one, there are a lot of things making reference to season one.

I plan on covering season one latter down the line, I also had to pull some of season one episodes to remember how things happen, this series cover different stories at the same time, not only from the main characters.

Liandrin has not only been sweet talking to Nynaeve but also the other Aes Sedai to stop wasting her time and powers as a novice and get her right into training to expand and control her powers, Nynaeve has a very peculiar power that she can regenerate from others Aes Sedai power, on season one she almost turn into dust after getting hit by their collective power and then regenerate herself.

The rest of Liandrin sisters have agree to this except Alanna Mosvani who still believe that there is a process and reason why Nynaeve should not take short cuts with her training but the truth is that Nynaeve has no interest to be novice so she also agree with Liandrin to move forward, she is taken to a cave, a room that holds what looks like a portal.

Far away from the rest of his friends, Perrin and the other warriors with him looking for the Horn of Valere face the army of High Lady, Ishamael is next to her, we saw this army at the end of season one on the last episode, their ships arriving, lot of ships, High Lady Suroth has brought what seems to be a very powerful army, different that the Aes Sedai she brought soldiers, similar to the movie 300 where Leonidas brings warriors and Xerxes slaves, in the case of the Aes Sedai they dont bring slaves but most of their women are not as ready for battle and are probably out number, when High Lady Suroth arrives reminds me of Xerxes with the exception that she might be very powerful, I'm probably just talking shit because I know nothing else about this story rather than what I have seen so far, probably the one good thing about my blog, I'm telling things as I see them without trying to compare the series with the books.

Perrin and the rest of the crew had no chance, they were out number and out power, High Lady Suroth asks Ishamael "are they ready?" , he answers "they have to be" , ready for what? are they going to be transform into their slave army? what are their real porpuse? are they really the bad ones? because even the Aes Sedai at The White Tower in season one question Moiraine motives and goals thinking that she and her agenda could be a threat to all.

This episode is full of season one reference, Rand again lost control and killed a man, Yann; who work with him at the asylum, this guy use to mock one of Rand favorite patients so one night Rand follow the guy and beat him up to dead, during that moment he lost control of his powers and beat him up to death to then run away, this guy he just killed was in charge of taking care of Logain Ablar, The False Dragon, a man who Liandrin and other Aes Sedai track down and defeat before he raise an army large enough, this man was able to touch the power but based on the Aes Sedai experience he would eventually turn insane so he had to be stop, they took his powers and ends up on the same asylum Rand is working at, I don't think this was a coincidence, once Logain shows up I thought none of this was a coincidence and Rand had an agenda at been there

WOT episodes are a hand full sometimes, episode two is full of references to season one, tons of characters that take time to remember, I have been back linking to WOT fandom page so readers can have a background of the characters besides my opinion, for some reason I have seen people making posts about how boring this season is but I think after episode three it will stop making reference and getting viewers to catch up so the story can move on, at least there was some action and drama at the same time, lot of drama at The White Tower, probably what really bored me is the story between Lan and Moiraine they can get along anymore even though he keeps putting his life at risk for her, Lan could eventually get tired of been push away and move on, dont think thats going to happen but its a possibility in my opinion, I had a blast watching episode two and I'm eager to watch The White Tower fight High Lady Suroth army, while I was going through the fandom page find out they want to conquer and expand their kingdom, Seanchan; this gives me GOT vibes where Seanchan and Westlands might have to unite powers to fight a bigger threat, this are just speculations of my own at trying to figure out whats next, hope you enjoy this series as much as I do.

In 2009, the year of the release of "Up ", Pixar's successful film, it was shown that appearances can be deceiving; I remember that in that year there was concern about the grumpy appearance of the main character (or one of them), I mean "Carl Fredricksen", an elderly man who did not fit in that line of having a commercial appearance as it had happened in other productions of that production company; we were very wrong because when watching that film we would discover a touching love story, the story of Carl fulfilling a promise to his beloved Elllie.

Después de doce años los personajes "Carl Fredricksen" y "Doug", regresaron para seguir relatando sus historias luego de concluir una gran aventura la cual los convirtió en inseparables amigos; aclaro que hago referencia a doce años (y no catorce) porque en el 2021, en Disney Plus, se estrenó una serie de cinco episodios cortos enfocados en los dos personajes antes citados, el cual fue llamado como "Dug Days"; la realidad es que esa serie estaba compuesta por seis episodios, pero se decide que el episodio final tendría estreno en las salas de cine justamente con el estreno del film "Elemental"; ese episodio con una duración de más de ocho minutos, recibió por nombre "Carl's Date".

After twelve years the characters "Carl Fredricksen" and "Doug", returned to continue telling their stories after concluding a great adventure which turned them into inseparable friends; I clarify that I refer to twelve years (and not fourteen) because in 2021, in Disney Plus, a series of five short episodes focused on the two characters mentioned above, which was called "Dug Days" was released; The reality is that this series was composed of six episodes, but it was decided that the final episode would be released in theaters precisely with the premiere of the film "Elemental"; this episode, with a duration of more than eight minutes, was called "Carl's Date".

Este corto episodio demuestra un gran balance entre la nostalgia, comedia y por supuesto un fuerte sentimiento de apoyo y comprensión a lo que debe experimentar "Carl" al conseguir una cita; me sorprendió el trabajo de Bob Peterson, quien dirige, escribe y provee la voz a "Doug"; de esas tres funciones, la historia es lo que siento que es especial, es por supuesto simple, rápida, pero así como dije hace muy poco, el balance e inteligencia de saber en qué momentos decir una frase, un gesto y con un gran final, es lo que hace que funcione como otro complemento más para esta historia de Carl y Doug.

Lo que más me gusta de este corto y de los otros cinco episodios de esta serie es que sean Carl y Doug, sean los protagonistas, en especial el conocido como "El Perro Alfa"; Doug es mi personaje favorito, me da tanta felicidad que tenga la posibilidad de comunicarse y sé que los perros son muy comunicativos, pero qué tangas la posibilidad de conversas con ellos me parece una de las mejores ideas que he visto en un film y en esta oportunidad es algo muy importante para esta breve historia, Doug es un gran protagonista, un amigo incondicional. Con respecto a "Carl", creo que lo que generó una completa aceptación a este personaje es su amor incondicional a su eterna pareja, a Elllie, ese motivo es fundamental para su historia y también para esta en dónde nuevamente debe explorar territorios peligrosos, no en la gran "Salto Ángel", sino en una cita.

This short episode shows a great balance between nostalgia, comedy and of course a strong feeling of support and understanding of what "Carl" must experience when getting a date; I was surprised by the work of Bob Peterson, who directs, writes and provides the voice to "Doug"; of those three functions, the story is what I feel is special, it is of course simple, quick, but just as I said very recently, the balance and intelligence of knowing at what moments to say a phrase, a gesture and with a great ending, is what makes it work as yet another complement to this story of Carl and Doug.

What I like most about this short film and the other five episodes of this series is that Carl and Doug are the protagonists, especially the one known as "The Alpha"; Doug is my favorite character, it gives me so much happiness that he has the ability to communicate and I know that dogs are very communicative, but what tangas the possibility of conversing with them seems to me one of the best ideas I've seen in a film and this time is something very important for this short story, Doug is a great protagonist, an unconditional friend. Regarding "Carl", I think that what generated a complete acceptance to this character is his unconditional love to his eternal partner, to Elllie, that motive is fundamental for his story and also for this one where again he must explore dangerous territories, not in the great "Salto Ángel", but in a date.

Me pareció genial este corto film; me gusta el cómo está muy relacionados sus protagonistas, la confianza entre ellos, su amistad, lo cual es importante y da validez a todas sus ocurrencias, algunas las cuales me sentí identificado, como por ejemplo conversar con tu mascota, en esta ocasión con un perro y es que yo soy de esas personas que puede entablar una conversación con su perro, siempre convencido de que él me entiende y apoya en mis acciones. Existe otro aspecto importante en esta producción y es el contar con la mayoría de personas que participaron en "Up", uno anteriormente nombrado, Peterson, siendo el otro, el actor Ed Asner, el cual este fue uno de sus últimos trabajos (o el último) antes de fallecer en el 2021; creo que eso da mucho más valor a este proyecto y posiblemente sea un gran cierre para esta historia sobre cumplir promesas, pero a la vez de tomar riesgos, de experimentar cosas nuevas, de dejar atrás la soledad y vivir de una manera feliz.

I thought this short film was great; I like the way its main characters are closely related, the trust between them, their friendship, which is important and gives validity to all their occurrences, some of which I felt identified with, such as talking to your pet, in this occasion with a dog, and I am one of those people who can have a conversation with his dog, always convinced that he understands me and supports me in my actions. There is another important aspect in this production and that is to have most of the people who participated in "Up", one previously named, Peterson, being the other, the actor Ed Asner, which this was one of his last works (or the last) before passing away in 2021; I think that gives much more value to this project and possibly is a great closure for this story about keeping promises, but at the same time to take risks, to experience new things, to leave behind the loneliness and live in a happy way.

Episode 6 of The Silo, Season One, reveals the Silo Monitor Center, Jules has a very different perspective from the Silo than many of the people living in it, since she met George she got sucked into this conspiracy that George was trying to unveil but unfortunately for both he ran out of time after he was found dead, allegedly he either jump from one of the stairs rails or someone pushes him; Jules lost interest on the conspiracy theory, the conspiracy has been proven to get you killed after George died and Holston was sent out to clean, but she did step in as a Sheriff initially with the intentions to find out what really happened to George not because Holston ask her too or because it was the right thing to do, serve when duty calls, it was mainly to figure out who killed George but recent events like the death of the Mayor and Deputy Marnes have actually put work on her hands and a motive to be a real Sheriff trying to find out if this conspiracy George was obsessed to reveal also killed this two characters that now were so close to her, down the road this events also push Juliette away from persuing her first goal letting her to think its time to go back home and forget everything that happen but she has a great mentor in Martha who tells her to stay firm on her believes and finish what she started, the seek for the truth of George death and indirectly figure out if there is really something more than the Silo itself out there, it took Juliette a few minutes to put her shit together and move forward, she is after all a women with a very strong character and mind of her own who rarely let others influence on her believes but its hard not to when others are one or two step ahead, on this episode its confirm that everyone on the Silo is been watched both by video and audio, they can see you and listen to your conversations, they know what you did, where you at and what you said, this circuanstances will make you doubt and probably whats exactly what happen to Juliette, yes at first she was chocked by what Kathleen told he about George but she should probably trust more George if she really knew him and think that some things he did he had to do in order to move forward with his investigation, he was constantly walking out of the Silo Law line and probably could not be as straight forward as Kathleen or Juliette may wanted too, women more often than men are hardly impact on their decisions by love, it can even make Juliette doubt about her believes after all she is human, mixed feelings almost tip her over.

From all these DOOMS DAY TV series I think Silo gets very close to what will happen to the planet and the human race if things go south with the climate, humans might be forced to live underground, it really surprises me how on the series things like this candy dispenser, at least that's what it looks like, is banned, Judicial make it illegal for anyone to have something like it, there is a lot of truth on George words when he said: "why do they make it a risk to our lives to have them?", the answer to that question is that it sparks to more questions like from where did it come from, are there any more like it? when and why is it here? , these are questions that lead to the main question, why are we hiding on this Silo? because so far nobody mentions why they lived inside the Silo, the only thing close to a reason is that the "founders" knew better and put them there but who are the founders and why did they build the Silo, Curious George knew better and was working on answering this question, the big question.

That same little plastic ducky started an investigation and almost broke apart Juliette and Billings, even on the pact they had those things like this are the gateway to criminal activity but it's not the object the problem it's the questions that it raises among the people on the Silo, plus if we think about it there must be a lot of people that is not sane inside that enclosure, yes the Silo is very big and sometimes looks like a very small city on the inside it still a close environment.

In episode six we get to see Judge Meadows, the person who is "supposed" to be in charge of the Judicial department but in fact, it's very clear that its all an illusion, Robert Sims is clearly who dictates the tone of the conversation in the room, she clearly looks manipulated by Sims and also looks sick, wouldn't be strange that in the future she dies because she was slowly poison.

A living example of someone who probably almost got killed because of having or dealing with relics in the past and has now stopped caring about them is Patrick, he has the look of a guy who is trying to change his life, not the most honest man on the Silo probably but for sure looks afraid of having anything to do with relics as he explains how it destroy his life, he gave Juliette the only name he could, the only dealer he could rat out but in fact, it was because Judicial already knew about her, Juliette is looking for answers behind the plastic duck relic, answers that could lead her to the murder of the mayor but in fact takes her to a dark corner.

When Juliette took the Sheriff's job she did it for love, she wanted to figure out who killed George as she was so sure he didn't commit suicide, a recent event especially starting the investigation of where this relic came from, got her to almost change her mind, take in consideration she wanted to know because initially, George gave it to her so she knew anyone who got it after that probably got it from George, Julliete fix George watch because she truly loves him and makes her feel special but finding out that he used other people to continue his quest to unveil the answer to the big question got her think twice if he really love her or was she just part of his quest? Kathleen, the woman on the second picture, almost got Juliette doubt of George's true motives, Juliette almost quit and went back to mechanical.

The minute Juliette talk to Kathleen, Sims got notified, Sims brings Bernard (temporary mayor) to question her motives because they knew Kathleen hold some information that might raise the same questions George had about the Silo. Juliette manages to shake them off for the time but after a second visit to Kathleen, she gave Juliett a book that not even Sims knew about, a relic before the Silo, until now civilians don't know they are been watched including Juliette.

 

Silo is a great series, from episode one it got me hooked, on every episode we get more details about the conspiracy that the management of the Silo runs, and it's not regular management, its those behind the curtain moving the strings like Bernard and Sims, now when know how they are always a step ahead of everyone but Juliette is slick and will find her way out, it incredible how everything goes back to George, the relic she is investigating might take her to solve three murders but I think Sims is going to stop her, it's hard for Juliette to do her job when there is a monitoring center with multiple employees watching and listen to her. Episode six also shows Juliette's decision to find out who killed George and that she really loves him, sometimes you just have to believe in your judgment, even though Kathleen told her he probably used them both Juliette still went back to find out the truth because she loved George, it didn't matter if he used her, what matter is the moment she spend with him and what she felt when they were together, like when she fix the watch just because watching him happy make her feel the same, that's true love.

Class of 09 Episode 3 brings the beginning of what will become Tayo's real problem, in 2023 we are in the times when Artificial Intelligence finally reach average internet users with applications like Chat GPT and also those who are more familiar with the tech are starting to thinker with Artificial Intelligence models to generate text, images or even music. Agent Hour with a crew of talented engineers has develop this massive tool to keep agents in contact with all evidence possible and case files so they can come up with suspects faster than usual, its purpose was not to replace agents but to unite them in technology, the idea is to have one agent working on a case but with the help of all the data other agents have compile from similar cases having it available as fast an efficient as possible but no body in the Bureau sees it that way, most think that this new system will replace agents and make decisions for them although Hour's system wont, even Lennix who seems to be a very smart guy on the series thinks this way, I think he probably did because it was others perspective too, group pressure.

Tayo on episode 3 was against the wall, he is facing a man that already try to kill him and is on the run, hurt badly his partner at the moment and all they got is one guy who wont say anything, his partners at the FBI pressure him at not using Hour system but he had no choice, they going no where with the only lead they have, here is when it starts, Tayo will become a victim of his own success, we have seen before a scene where he asks another ten years as FBI director to continue with his AI system, as any other Sci-Fi theme movie/series Artificial Intelligence finally understands humans are the problem and need to be stop.

Tayo is hunting, looking for Mark Tupirik, a man who runs a criminal/terrorist network who is willing to do anything he can to hurt the FBI, on previous episode he already demonstrate that no one is above his mission, killed his wife, almost killed an FBI agent (Tayo's partner) and now is on his way to complete his plan, both Mark and Tayo are fearless.

Class of 09 moves back and forward through its time line, in the future after the AI system Tayo implemented and eventually mutate into something that goes out of control, totally different than what Hour and Amos wanted it to be, Poet visits Hour seeking for her help to stop the system, before Amos was killed at Poet's apartment he gave her a card that might be the key to stop it. Poet at this point on her life is facing that she have been left alone in the world, no Hour, no Lennix and now no Bureau since this last thing that she loved too is gone after the AI system has replaced agents almost completely.

True friendship is very hard to find and some times people become blind because of their line of work, for Poet the FBI was everything back then, she always show it to everyone, that's why she and Lennix were not together and why she accept to spy on Hour and eventually be the one who puts a stop to her program, Lennix on the other hard who had no attachment to Hour also follow orders and gets Poet to work with Hour as under cover so she could never see it coming, the entire project was Doom from the start, not because it works or what ever any one else though on the FBI but because Hour profile results say she might trust more technology than people or at least that's the perspective the FBI has from her, unless humans find out a way to create conscious mind then AI will always be just a vast library of data with extremely fast access, AI wont be able to take that away from humans the decision making factor under certain circumstances where human emotions are involve, some times science can choose a total different outcome but doesn't mean is the right one. In the case of Lennix, Poet and the FBI they were wrong about Hour program.

At first Hour new system was suppose to help agents, meaning they wont get the answers right away, they still had to investigate, Hour make it that way so it doesn't replace agents but the agents perspective was different, although they had a hunch that if it end up as they thought, eventually AI will replace them, at the moment Tayo was desperate to put Mark behind bars, not only they were going no where with the suspect but also Mark just execute an attack to kill either Tayo or his wife so he decided to open the Pandora Box and go full send with Hour system.

Since Tayo use the system for the first time it work as intended, took the hours to get something of value form their suspect, there are theories that under pressure humans indirectly tend to give themselves out, under situations like this its either because they think can out smart the law or they so nervous eventually crack to move on to what's next, took Tayo and the system with a room full of people analyzing the situation meaning it was working as intended, until they find a clue that puts them on the right track, the suspect was constantly drawing what looks like just lines but it was a logo at the center. After trying all kind of operation they could with the help of the state police like road blocks, they finally got to a truck where Mark was hiding a moving around, a truck from a Construction Company that the suspect was drawing during the interrogatory.

Going back to the future, after Hour accept to help Poet, after all they were best friends and it was obvious she had something for Poet, they go back to Amos place where they use the card he left Poet and start his system, the AI system in place, in the future, was taking decisions by its own, making arrests based on suspicious without prove just because someone could commit a crime, its not the same as stopping some one, if you haven't done anything even though you can, that doesn't mean you are guilty, on episode 3 also officially start the quest to stop Tayo's AI system in the future time line.

Tayo finally gets Mark behind bars, he is now in what seems to be a ultra max security prison, cameras every corner analyzing his reactions and trying to read him, again the system is working as design, agents are not predicting the future, the system will only assist them based on their request and inputs, there is more to Mark's plan, even though Tayo caught him, the plan still rolling and who knows what will happens next, agents are still in danger, Tayo thought stopping Mark was enough but its bigger than just him.

Hey friends, long time no share with you, the truth these days I had not seen anything new, between one thing or another, I got hooked watching the series that I shared some time ago, Review -Family-of-Police-Bluee-Bloods, in case you have not seen it, here it is.

However, this weekend I decided to watch another series, where my friend @pannavi, recently shared her review, I had really wanted to see it for a long time, but when I looked for it there were no chapters, so I forgot about it, when I saw the review of my friend, I went back to look for it, and well I found it, and as there were only 7 chapters, I decided to watch it complete.

Well, the series is called Hijack, as I mentioned it consists of 7 chapters, with a very attractive plot, which includes a little bit of everything, between drama, action, suspense, intrigue, tension, without a doubt, it fulfills its purpose which is to entertain.

What it's about

The series is based, as the title indicates, on the hijacking of a plane, where a group of people, decide to take control, a flight that departs from Dubai to London, with a duration of 7 hours, (what a coincidence, with seven chapters of this series), in short, the issue is as follows, one of the passengers, seeing this situation, seeks a way to intervene, doing everything possible to avoid a major disaster, and find a solution, without anyone getting hurt, with the sole objective of getting home to his family.

At the beginning everything is confusing, and even the motivation of the kidnappers, is inconclusive, they let themselves be carried away by other orders, it is here where they make you think, but from whom, because they are not clear, and say at once what their terms are, their true intentions, there are many questions that arise at the time, but as I mentioned, between each chapter, we will find somehow answer to all these questions.

Living a situation like this is not easy, you are in the air, without having where to go, how to escape, how to get out of there, along with other people, breathing and feeling that same fear, desperation, you just want it to end, to return home to your family, however, nerves betray you, and make you do anything crazy, just to get out of that situation, this is where in a way, you feel that tension that passengers live, and you just want to know how it will end.

Todo esto suena muy bien, al principio vemos como este hombre trata de convencer tantos a los pasajeros como a la tripulación, de mantener la calma, de no hacer nada sin saber bien, a lo que se están enfrentando, y a medida que transcurre cada episodio, iremos viendo quienes son los malos de esta historia, cuál es su propósito, y que es lo que quieren lograr con este secuestro.

Al inicio todo es confuso, e incluso la motivación de los secuestradores, es poco concluyente, se dejan llevar por otras órdenes, es aquí donde te ponen a pensar, pero de quién, porque no son claros, y dicen de una vez cuáles son sus términos, sus verdaderas intenciones, son muchas interrogantes que surgen en el momento, pero como mencione, entre cada capítulo, encontraremos de alguna forma respuesta a todas estas preguntas.

El vivir una situación como esta no es nada fácil, estás en el aire, sin tener a donde ir, como escapara, como salir de allí, junto con otras personas, respirando y sintiendo ese mismo miedo, desesperación, solo quieres que acabe, regresar a casa con tu familia, sin embargo, los nervios te traicionan, y te hacen cometer cualquier locura, con tal de salir de esa situación, es aquí donde de cierta manera, sientes esa tensión que viven los pasajeros, y solo quieres saber como terminara todo.

The series begins well, it has its moment of uncertainty, starting with the main protagonist of this story, with the man who tries to make contact with the hijackers, influencing them in some decisions; Sam Nelson, played by the actor Idris Elba, he performs certain actions, where the passengers begin to distrust him, he only seeks to gain their trust, only at what cost.

They say that he does this, but they don't really know what he does, if it's something legal or illicit, as if he's hiding something, but well, the truth is that, as I said, the series raises a few questions, and that's good, on the one hand, but in the end, you're left thinking, aha and then, that's it? Will there be a second season, how did that question remain up in the air 😄?

There is no doubt that the series has its details, some things a bit illogical, but if we leave that aside, it's still worth watching, it fulfils its purpose which is to entertain, to keep you glued there, waiting for that big finale, wanting to know how it will all end, will the plane crash or not, what will happen to the hijackers, who was really behind all this?

La serie comienza bien, tiene su momento de incertidumbre, empezando por el protagonista principal de esta historia, con el hombre que trata de entablar contacto con los secuestradores, influyendo en ellos en algunas decisiones; Sam Nelson, interpretado por el actor Idris Elba, el mismo realiza ciertas acciones, donde los pasajeros empiezan a desconfiar de él, solo busca ganarse su confianza, solo que a qué costo.

Dicen que él se dedica a esto, pero a ciencia cierta no definen bien, a que es lo que se dedica, si es algo legal o ilícito, como si ocultara algo, pero bueno, la verdad que, como ya les comente, la serie arroja unas cuantas interrogantes, y eso está bien, por una parte, pero a la final, te quedas pensando, aja y entonces, eso es todo... Será que habrá una segunda temporada, como quedo esa interrogante en el aire 😄

No cabe duda que la serie tiene sus detalles, algunas cosas algo ilógicas, pero si dejamos eso a un lado, igual vale la pena mirar, cumple su cometido que es entretener, tenerte allí pegado, esperando ese gran final, el querer saber como terminara todo, ¿se estrellara o no el avión?, ¿que pasara con los secuestradores?, ¿quiénes estaban realmente detrás de todo esto?.

If I were to write a list here, it would certainly be long, because this happens with a certain frequency, something over many decades, and since then, it seems that society has not yet learned to discard these types of people, turning them into stars.

The frenzy of the cinematic world really can turn any unknown person into someone famous. In fact, this is something that can happen very easily nowadays, because the internet “waves” are practically free everywhere. This democratizes and popularizes fame, but fortunately, it does not democratize or popularize talent. Although the scales are, at least initially, heavier on the side of fame, it cannot be sustained without talent.

The history of cinema has many examples of famous people who fell into ostracism over the years (some even faster than they could imagine) precisely because they did not have solid foundations to show their audience who they really were (professionally speaking, of course). Talent cannot be bought or sold, but it only becomes widely visible when there is a good showcase to showcase it on a larger scale.

At a certain point, it is correct to say that fame and talent go hand in hand to last for many years under other media spotlights (mainly in people's minds), but fame in itself is ephemeral and can disappear in the blink of an eye. On the other hand, when talent is undeniable, it may not receive the recognition it is due, but it will always be remembered by those who value it. En cierto punto, es correcto decir que fama y talento van de la mano para perdurar muchos años bajo los focos de otros medios (principalmente en la mente de las personas), pero la fama en sí misma es efímera y puede desaparecer en un abrir y cerrar de ojos. En cambio, cuando el talento es innegable, puede que no reciba el reconocimiento que se merece, pero siempre será recordado por quienes lo valoran. Este es otro “buen truco” del mundo del Séptimo Arte.

Hoje eu estava pensando sobre muitos momentos inesperados no mundo do cinema onde diretores, roteiristas, atores e atrizes ficaram famosos por motivos adversos ao que deveriam torná-los famosos: talento. Se eu fosse escrever uma lista aqui, ela certamente seria longa, porque isso acontece com uma certa frequência, algo longo de muitas décadas, e desde então, parece que a sociedade ainda não aprendeu a descartar estes tipos de pessoas, tornando-as em astros.

O frenesi do mundo cinematográfico realmente pode transformar qualquer pessoa desconhecida em alguém famoso. Aliás, isso é algo que pode acontecer muito facilmente nos dias atuais, porque as “ondas” da internet são praticamente livres em todos os lugares. Isso democratiza e populariza a fama, mas felizmente, não democratiza e nem populariza o talento. Embora a balança seja, ao menos a princípio, mais pesada para o lado da fama, ela não se sustenta sem talento.

A história do cinema tem muitos exemplos de pessoas famosas que caíram no ostracismo ao longo dos anos (algumas, inclusive, até mais rápido do que elas próprias poderiam imaginar) justamente porque não tinham bases sólidas para mostrar ao seu público quem elas eram de verdade (profissionalmente falando, é claro). Talento não se compra e nem se vende, mas ele apenas se torna amplamente visível quando há uma boa vitrine para mostrá-lo em uma escala maior.

Em certo ponto, é correto dizer que fama e talento andam de mãos dadas para perdurar por longos anos sob os demais holofotes midiáticos (principalmente nas mentes das pessoas), mas a fama por si só é efêmera e pode desaparecer em um piscar de olhos. Por outro lado, o talento quando é incontestável, pode até não receber o reconhecimento que lhe é devido, mas ele sempre será lembrado por quem o valoriza. Essa é mais um “bom truque” do mundo da Sétima Arte.

The killing vote is based on the premise of a mysterious vigilante trying to kill criminals who were released and received “seemingly” unjust sentences. This mysterious killer hacks into the mobile phones of everyday citizens in South Korea and every 15 and 30 of the month releases a voting system where people can tap “yes” or “no” in order to execute the criminals who receive unjust punishment. This sparks quite an outrage within the police but was welcomed by everyday citizens and they were happily participating in the voting. To uncover the real vigilante who ended up execuring the criminals, a cold detective and quite violent, Kim Mu-Chan works with a specialized task unit that will uncover the vigilante who is called “Gaemul” by people because he’s always wearing a dog’s mask. He was helped by Joo Hyun, a female police officer who works in a cyber unit and Kwon Seok-Joo, a father who committed murder after his daughter’s rapist was released and he ended up killing the alleged rapist. Things get more interesting as the vigilante happens to be the #1 fan of Seok Joo and was inspired by his words. Could the actual vigilante killer be close to Seok-Joo?

Still airing up to 5 episodes, there is a little ray of light that brings viewers close to the actual “Gaemul”. If you are quite impatient, I would suggest to watch until the series is over but if you’re quite patient and want some kind of excitement to find the actual “ gaemul”, it’s time to check it out now. This K-drama is full of suspense, mystery and packed with good actors such as Park Hae-Jin and Park Sung-Woong. From Asian Wiki, I am honestly surprised to see the rating that is quiet on the down-low. Despite the low rating, for anyone who loves mystery and crime, it’s worth checking out. I have not check out if the cause is because more famous actor is releasing a romcom but I am genuinely surprised by the low rating of this drama.
