In recent months, a large number of movies about love have been released, and in each one you can notice something different—different words, but there’s always that connection between the two people—making these movies make us laugh and teach us valuable lessons. That’s why El drama is here—a story that begins at a much more advanced stage of love: the wedding. The couple is in the midst of preparations, and what starts out as something fun and special turns into a full-blown adventure filled with truths and lies.

The story is very simple—it’s a stage we’ll all go through, and it can be very important. That’s why the movie begins with a couple on the verge of having a perfect wedding, but everything changes when a truth comes to light, turning everything upside down and leading us to ask: How well do we really know our partner? Why hide things in a relationship? And many other questions that build a story full of twists and turns, while also making us realize that relationships can end much faster than we think. Furthermore, it might seem similar to other films in this genre, but here the emotions are more complicated, the answers aren’t always the best, and the relationships reveal the sad side that no one wants to see.

The film combines a wide range of elements—such as doubts, prejudices, secrets, and human contradictions—which are very common in people, and even more so in a relationship where two people have known each other for years. It also features drama, humor, and awkward moments that, at times, can elicit a nervous smile, allowing the film to unfold at a very leisurely pace. This is where the main characters—Zendaya and Robert Pattinson—come in. They are the couple at the heart of this story, and each has their own personality and way of thinking. But what’s interesting is seeing how the dynamic between them changes when certainties begin to fade, because when you’re in love, everything flows smoothly, but when things go wrong, it puts your principles, expectations, and even your ability to forgive to the test.

I really liked this movie, El drama, because beyond being a film about a couple and a wedding, it tells a story about the expectations we have of others, what we’re willing to accept in the name of love, and how easy it is to walk away from it all. So if you’re looking for a film that’s a little different—one that touches on truths that can resonate deeply and addresses topics that need to be discussed—this one’s for you. It’s not just about realizing that we don’t fully know someone; it’s also about deciding what to do with what we discover.

High Tension (2003): Psychologically Insane. When the movie started, I immediately thought it was some kind of version of the film Martyrs; but as the story unfolded, the plot turned out to be completely different, of course. This movie is packed with adrenaline, horror, and extreme psychological distress; honestly, it’s gripping and unsettling from the very beginning, and we’re never sure whether we’re crossing the line between reality and madness. High Tension (2003), or Haute Tension, is a French production that’s very well made and truly keeps you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. Directed by Alexandre Aja, who has no qualms about bringing the brutality depicted in this film to the big screen.

What’s interesting about the film—and about the director himself—is that he aims to draw the viewer into the production’s intriguing atmosphere, which is established from the very first second. Every movement, every word, and even the silence itself become unsettling elements that leave us waiting for the worst to happen; it certainly keeps us in a state of absolute and unsettling high tension. From my perspective, it’s a good choice for people who enjoy this type of movie; but I must warn you that it’s not for the faint of heart, due to its frenetic pace and the visual cruelty that tests the viewer’s emotional endurance. This movie really caught my attention, and it’s my recommendation for today—you can’t trust anyone here.

In High Tension, the story revolves around three main characters who drive the plot and, naturally, keep us in a constant state of anxiety, terror, suspense, and utter despair. Cécile de France plays Marie; although her character has very few lines, to me, she’s the most important because she’s definitely the most visible. She’s a wild and sensitive person, but at the same time strong and ruthless when it comes to survival; in short, her performance is excellent and very natural—you’ll see for yourselves.

Maïwenn plays Alexia, or Alex; her performance is simple, but she’s the driving force behind the action; however, her fear, tears, vulnerability, and psychological terror are truly believable; you must appreciate every detail about her, because she’s telling you everything. On the other hand, we have Philippe Nahon as the driver or the killer; a man who is far too cruel, visceral, and utterly raw—he doesn’t need to say much to instill terror; his mere presence is threatening, cold, and brutal. This trio is the film’s strength, without taking anything away from the other characters, who also complement the story and play an important role in it.

At the beginning, we see an abused girl running through the woods in search of help; suddenly, this same girl wakes up in the back of Alexia’s car—it’s Marie, who had been having a horrible dream. Both girls are heading to spend the weekend at Alexia’s parents’ ranch; everything pointed to those days being absolutely enjoyable. However, near the ranch, we see a strange, dilapidated truck—this vehicle resembles the one the demon used in Jeepers Creepers; you’ll quickly realize that. Well, inside that truck is a really weird guy who’s receiving oral sex, but once it’s over, we get a sense of this creature’s madness and psychological disturbance—and when we see the guy throw a woman’s head out the window, things really start to get crazy.

The girls arrive home and are greeted by Alex’s parents and her little brother. They go to their rooms, and one might think these two women are a couple; this is implied by the way Marie and Alex look at and treat each other—or perhaps they’re just such good friends that it seems that way. The truth is that night falls, and disaster isn’t long in coming, because the driver immediately arrives at the ranch gates and begins his deranged killings. You might say, “This doesn’t make sense—we already know who the killer is.” The point is that you have to pay close attention to all the events and the film’s frenetic plot. Well, as for the others, the guy slits their throats, decapitates them, shoots them, abuses them, beats them, and finally kidnaps Alex by dragging her into his truck.

At first, Marie hides from the man and tries to get in touch with someone, but all the phone lines have been cut. Completely desperate, she manages to get into the truck with a knife, but the killer locks the door and takes them both away. The truck stops at a gas station; Marie manages to get out to ask for help, but as she does so, the driver kills the gas station attendant. From that moment on, Marie’s only desire is to find Alex and save her; the search is intense, heart-wrenching, and utterly cruel. I think the movie is extremely good, with a twist so brutal I never saw it coming; it’s truly unimaginable and, for me, created a sense of absolute tension; the film certainly lives up to its name. The question is: What are the killer’s true intentions? Will Marie be able to save Alex? Was all of this planned? Go see it, find out, and let me know who’s disturbed in this story—and just how disturbed they are.

As always, the interplay between setting, photography, and sound works perfectly here. Everything comes together to immerse us in an experience of total isolation. At first, we see kilometers of open space in the middle of nowhere, only to end up in an even more remote rural area. One might think that in all this vast space there are thousands of ways to escape from someone or something; however, as night falls, everything becomes like a cage that keeps us all in total, suffocating, and terrifying confinement—you can go anywhere, but danger and death lie in wait for you at every turn. Everything is well designed, and the experience is immersive; nothing has been left to chance, because everything points to a threat that never ends and a night that never ends.

Now, beyond the cruelty depicted in the film, High Tension forces us to reflect on just how fragile the human mind can be when obsession breaks through the boundaries of reality. An obsession that can turn traumas, desires, and hidden feelings into a psychological puzzle that leads only to evil, destruction, and death. Simply put, you can’t trust anyone, because even those closest to you are the real monsters who can end your life; the very person you believe will be your protector will be your destroyer. If you’re a fan of this kind of film, this one is definitely for you. Best regards, and see you soon.

Wedding Firefly is a romance anime that’s a bit different from the rest, because while other anime feature romantic scenes, this one has action and plenty of blood, which makes it incredibly interesting.

First, we meet one of the main characters: Satoko Kirigaya, a young woman who belongs to a noble family in ancient Japan. Kirigaya stands out for her beauty, which attracts many suitors from all over the country. In addition, she is very well-mannered and cultured, having been raised to proudly carry on the family name. However, she has had a small problem since childhood: she was diagnosed with a weak heart and told she wouldn’t live very long. This leads Kirigaya to reject any marriage proposals without a second thought, because she doesn’t believe any man would want to marry someone who won’t live very long.

Sakoto lives in a palace with her half-sister and stepmother, with whom she has differences. Sakoto’s sister, Miwako, is less attractive and receives no marriage proposals worth considering, which fuels envy between the sisters. Furthermore, Miwako is less educated because she has never valued education—for her, physical beauty is far more important. Source

One day, Sakoto is given permission to go out shopping. Even though her condition prevents her from moving around much, she goes to the market to buy something to make her father happy; she plans to give him flowers she has grown herself. But just then, a group of bandits kidnaps her and takes her away with the intention of killing her. A time is set for Sakoto’s murder, and for this, a legendary assassin named Shinpei Goto is summoned. Shinpei is ordered to kill her at the agreed-upon time; until then, he is explicitly told that no one is allowed to touch her, and that if anyone does, Shinpei can cut them into little pieces.

After a couple of hours of watching over her, another group of bandits tries to assault Sakoto, at which point Shinpei intervenes and ends up cutting down with his sword everyone who touched the girl. I’ll pause here for a moment because I need to talk about Shinpei. He’s a guy whose appearance is terrifying; he’s cold and has a vacant stare, and he cares about nothing but the money he’ll receive for carrying out what he was asked to do. He’s so cold it’s scary; he has a calmness that’s unnerving because you never know when he’s going to snap.

Sakoto is a shrewd girl, and she’s constantly looking for a way to get out of this situation unscathed. At one point, she tells Shinpei that she comes from a powerful family. Shinpei tells her that if she has more money than they promised, he’ll let her go. Sakoto suggests that she could sell her kimono at the market since it’s very valuable, but Shinpei isn’t interested in the idea.

Sakoto tells Shinpei that she loves him and has fallen in love with him. She’s looking for a way out of this situation, and marriage seems like the best option to her. Shinpei may be a cold-hearted guy and a top-notch assassin, but he’s no fool—he knows Sakoto is weighing her options. This leads Shinpei to ask her to kiss him as a way to seal their commitment, knowing that he’s covered in other people’s blood and that he was originally hired to kill her. What Sakoto does next is what makes the episode worth watching: she pulls out a handkerchief and wipes the blood from Shinpei’s lips. And just like that, they agree to get married.

Obviously, Sakoto isn’t in love with Shinpei; what she’s doing is a strategic move to get out of that situation unscathed. The fact that Shinpei told her that if she’d refused to kiss him, it would all have ended right there suggests that, at the very least, Sakoto’s plan worked out.

That’s how the episode ends. There’s so much to analyze in this anime—so many ethical debates to explore—and there’s so much to discuss about it that I find it fascinating. It’s definitely worth watching. Cheers!

¡Saludos!

One thing about horror movies is that sometimes the real monsters are not the creatures hiding in the dark. Yeah...., Sometimes they are the people that're around us, the ones who make life unbearable for someone simply because that person is different and honestly Carrie takes that idea and turns it into something genuinely very disturbing.

The story follows Carrie White, a girl who has spent most of her life isolated from the outside world, after the death of her father, Ralph, Carrie is left under the care of her mother, Margaret White... a religious woman whose idea of raising a daughter involves strict control, fear and punishment...

Margaret believes that the outside world is full of sin, and so she tries to protect Carrie by keeping her away from it but what she calls protection often feels more like imprisonment, and Carrie grows up with understanding of normal teenage life and her mothers controlling behaviour leaves her poorly prepared for what awaits her outside their home....

Eventually Carrie has to attend high school and that is where her real troubles begin, so now imagine being a teenager who barely understands how other people behave suddenly finding yourself surrounded by classmates who already have their friendships, social groups and ideas about who belongs and who doesn't, Carrie struggles to fit in and of receiving kindness she becomes an easy target.

One humiliating incident involving her first period leaves her terrified and confused, than helping her understand what is happening to her body the other girls mock her turning a normal part of growing up into a cruel public spectacle.

As if that experience isn't bad enough the bullying continues, Chris Hargensen becomes one of Carries determined tormentors and the cruelty eventually spreads beyond the school corridors, In this 2026 version social media makes everything worse because humiliation no longer ends when the school day is over, Embarrassing moments can be recorded, shared and watched by people who weren't even present when they happened.

For someone like Carrie, who already feels alone this becomes another nightmare she cannot easily escape.. While everyone is busy treating Carrie like a joke something strange is happening around her.

She begins discovering that she possesses abilities meaning she can move objects using the power of her mind , at first these abilities emerge unpredictably often in moments of emotion, as her anger and fear grow so does her control over the things around her....

This is where the story becomes even more interesting because Carrie is not simply a bullied girl who suddenly becomes powerful, she is still a teenager trying to understand herself while the people around her continue pushing her towards a breaking point.

The series also introduces Emaline, a girl who develops a connection with Carrie but However Emaline is not exactly who she appears to be, She possesses abilities of her own and has been sent to observe Carrie on behalf of a secretive group of women with similar powers.

This revelation opens up a bigger world than Carrie ever imagined. Apparently she is not the person with these extraordinary abilities and there are people who want to recruit her while others believe someone as powerful as Carrie must be stopped.

Meanwhile Carrie tries to experience something to an ordinary teenage life. Sue Snell becomes a figure in her school life and Tommy Ross is connected to the events leading up to the prom. For a moment it seems possible that Carrie might finally experience acceptance instead of constant rejection.

Unfortunately the cruelty she has endured is not finished with her.

Then comes prom night.

Carrie attends the event hoping for a chance to belong. Chris and her accomplices have prepared another cruel humiliation. They dump pigs blood on Carrie in front of everyone turning what should have been a teenage memory into another public nightmare.

Except this time Carrie does not simply stand there. Endure it.

Her powers. The prom descends into absolute chaos. People are. Killed as Carrie unleashes the rage she has been carrying for years. The tragedy becomes more complicated when Tommy is accidentally killed leaving Carrie overwhelmed by the horror of what is happening.

Emaline eventually takes control of Carries body during part of the massacre adding another layer to the destruction. Still Carrie remains conscious and her own anger plays a role in the violence especially when she confronts Chris and Billy.

The destruction spreads beyond the school leaving the town in flames. Carrie survives the prom massacre. She also survives her confrontation, with Margaret although their relationship is left shattered by everything that has happened.

The ending takes another turn when Emaline leaves with Carrie beginning a journey of self-discovery. Meanwhile Margaret is later killed by members of the psychic group revealing just how dangerous this hidden world really is.

That is where Carrie leaves us with a traumatised teenage girl who has survived something horrific but must now face the consequences of her powers and discover who she really is.

Because sometimes the frightening question isn't what happens when someone becomes powerful. It is what happens when that person has spent their life being hurt rejected and pushed beyond their limits.

How did I not see this movie long before now? I mean, why didn't I see it when the hype was so much back then? I can't believe I've been missing out on such a story just because it's an Indian movie and I rarely see one especially before when I'd rather see Korean movies to any other kind. Thankfully now, I've been exploring different country movies and I'm discovering great stories.

"3 Idiots" is one of them, a 2009 released Indian movie that provokes thoughts and even established systems around education and life in general. It's a comedy movie but beyond that, it teaches lessons about so many things. It's safe to say the movie explores too many themes and still brought good entertainment, a masterpiece!

I didn't know what I was expecting when the story introduced the college director, Viru Sahastrabuddhe (Virus) starred by Boman Irani), describing how horribly he is towards his students and the system of teaching in the school. Personally, his role reminded me a lot about some people I've seen or heard about in schools and universities who are up to no good.

His transformation was expected but still made me feel something deep about his role, especially on how he realized his mistakes and surrendered.

And the star of the story, allow me to call him the "no so idiot" Ranchhoddas Shamaldas Chanchad (Rancho) starred Aamir Khan. Rancho is brilliant, smart and living someone else's life in the college where he tries to change the system of education and how people perceive having certificates rather than actually learning to know.

Rancho is crazily funny, so inspiring by every word he says, loves to smile and very positive with his "Aal izz well" statement even in the face of difficulties. He inspires his friends to find their passion but we soon find out he was on a very long route towards his own passion and still succeeded, way better than everyone expected.

I especially love these two friends of Rancho, Farhan Qureshi (starred by Madhavan) and Raju Rastogi (starred by Sharman Joshi) for how they watched and learned so much about Rancho and naturally cheered for his actions and successes, becoming true friends even to the extent of going in search of him years later. They defined what friendship and being supportive should look like.

They all met at an engineering college but Rancho is studying with someone else's name, Farhan is studying a course he's not interested in and Raju strongly believes his family's bad situation will change if he graduates as an Engineer. Their friendship opened their eyes to see beyond what was in the present but future.

Just when I thought the character reveal was over, Pia Sahastrabuddhe (starred by Kareena Kapoor) comes in as a young female doctor who is about to marry a man her father thinks is best for her but she meets Rancho who shows up at her sister's engagement party uninvited and made her see clearly what she did overlooked.

The two fell in love with each other but because it's not a romance movie, but a comedy and about friendship, education and life lessons, the focus wasn't really on them until the search for missing Rancho. I enjoyed how funny the movie got because I can't count the times I laughed out loud watching this movie with my cousin today.

"3 Idiots" is more than just another comedy movie for real, it's eye opening on the simple things of life... Doing what you love to do and doing it with courage, the movie exposes how dangerous it can get when people are pressured into doing what they don't really love to do or what they want to do. Quite a realistic storyline!

Baby’s Day Out (1994) is one of those movies that made my childhood, this movie never gets old. I decided to do a review and bring back some childhood memories.

The movie Baby’s Day Out (1994) is a family comedy, a comedy that proves that the smallest person in the room can cause more trouble than every other person, the movie is directed by Patrick Read Johnson, this entertaining comedy creates an unforgettable situation, using an adorable baby, the actions of the baby is the reason why this movie hasn't been forgotten for decades.

Baby’s Day Out follows Baby Bing, a baby from a very wealthy family, and he is targeted by three kidnappers , who pretend to be photographers to snatch him from home, with the hope of collecting a huge ransom from his parents. Their perfect plan turned into a nightmare, as baby Bing wasn't so easy to be kidnapped, baby Bing escaped from them and took them round the city and this was an adventure, it was really exciting watching little baby Bing frustrate full grown men being humiliated as they desperately went after the child to recover him a move forward with their mission.

Baby Bink is obviously too young and clueless to understand the danger surrounding him wherever he finds himself, but his innocent curiosity constantly puts the kidnappers in ridiculous situations, and it was like the universe was fighting for baby Bink all the way, and this is one creative approach to comedy, and it makes the movie more interesting to watch. The hilarious and dangerous movement of baby Bink from a busy road, construction site, zoo, bushes and in all this he crawls joyfully, cheerful and unstoppable, and every obstacle was an opportunity for an adventure for baby Bink and a danger to the kidnappers.

The three misfortune kidnappers, played by Joe Mantegna, Joe Pantoliano, and Brian Haley, also performed excellently in this movie, their frustration was so obvious that baby Bing made every step they took disastrous. Watching this movie, the inability of this grown men to catch a toddler really added much humor to the movie. Their unintelligent decisions and disastrous encounters made the movie really humorous to watch, their failures at every step made this movie really interesting to watch and made the movie really funny too, I could call them comic characters, because they really made the comedy more intriguing to watch.

Baby's Day Out is a movie that relies heavily on facial expressions and exaggerated situations rather than dialogue, physical comedy too, and this is why viewers can generally relate to this movie, it doesn't just rely heavily on dialogue, but physical comedy, facial expressions, and exaggerated situations. Although many actions seem really unrealistic, especially the action of baby Bing, there is no way a crawling toddler would be able to survive all that risk baby Bing took.

The story telling is also fast, there was a continuous cycle of hope amongst the kidnappers, just when they feel they are in control and about to capture Baby Bing, a huge disappointment meets them, their frustration and continuous attempts keep this story going. Baby's Day Out is a creative and unpredictable movie. It's a unique storyline and a very entertaining movie to watch.

In conclusion, Baby’s Day Out (1994) is really a heartwarming, entertaining and a comedy filled with laughter and entertaining moments. A unique and adorable central character, memorable moments, and incompetent kidnappers who couldn't successfully kidnap a toddler. An amazing movie for both children and adults , even though it's an old movie, it remains one of my favorite movies.

I will be rating Baby’s Day Out (1994) a 90/100 , the movie is really worth watching.
