Sometimes, when watching movies, it feels like the actors know exactly what’s happening in my life. In other words, I can say that I see my life on my television screen.
Life comes with its ups and downs but that gives us more experience and acts like a guide on the same mistake.
This means, we shouldn’t make the same mistake twice.
Movies may be too much at times but when it reasonates with your life or what you’re going through, it gets to make sense. Gone With The Wind is a movie that I feel is too much but worth the watch and deserves a hype.
Scarlett learned that Ashley, her crush is about to get married to his cousin, Melanie. She then finds a way to make an advance on Ashley but he rejected. However, she caught the attention of Rhett, a guest at the party.
Melanie and Scarlett eventually became friends after Melanie gave birth with the help of Scarlett. However, Scarlett never stopped crushing on Ashley. To make Ashley jealous, she married Charles but he died while serving in the confederates states army.
Eventually, Rhett finds a way into Scarlett’s life. He proposed to Scarlett and she accepts. They both named their daughter Bonnie but Scarlett never stopped liking Ashley even after telling her that he’s never going to leave Melanie.
Desperately, Scarlett found a way for she and Ashley to embrace each other. The rumor spread and Rhett heard about it and files a divorce.
Then, Scarlett realized that it was Rhett she has always loved and all she has for Ashley was just infatuation.
Even though the movie is interesting, it’s just too much and that’s why I skipped some unnecessary parts of the movie in my summary.
Scarlett’s mother didn’t play a huge role in the movie. So, why include her death in the movie? I feel the actors and producers of the movie just wanted to achieve making a longer movie and that’s why they added that but to me, that part of Scarlett’s mother’s death is irrelevant.
How about Charles? His death was also unnecessary. They could have made the movie seem like “Scarlett kept trying to get Ashley’s attention but it didn’t work out and that’s why she ended up with Rhett instead of marrying Charles and then, Rhett when she really loves Ashley.
Nevertheless, it is an interesting movie. The fact that it’s too much never stops it from being an interesting movie.
This story truly resonates with my current lifestyle. I’m just like Scarlett but my experience eventually made me know that people love who they love no matter how you try to get them.
Ashley truly loved Melanie. If it were someone else, he must have taken that as an advantage to cheat with Scarlett on Melanie but he didn’t do that. That’s just me. I remember loving someone who never loved me. I had one guy begging me almost everyday to be his girlfriend and he really seemed serious about it but I thought I was making the right decision by loving someone who doesn’t love me. It ended in tears for me.
I just loved how Rhett walked out on her and left for Atlanta. That’s the best. I think we humans should learn to appreciate those who appreciate us. Scarlett never appreciated Rhett and she shouldn’t make him a second choice all because the man she loved didn’t love her.
Do you know my favorite scene? It’s funny how the scene that’s my favorite turned out to make me cry. After ignoring, yelling and sending away the man who loved me, I begged him.
This time, he didn’t walk out on me but made me know that he now has one whom he truly loves. I just wish I didn’t reject him earlier.
I cried while Scarlett cried in the movie. I was sad. Scarlett didn’t want to lose Rhett and I missed the man I sent away. I don’t know if he will ever come back but if he does, I’ll ask us to watch *Gone With The Wind together so he can see how I felt in his days of absence.
I enjoyed the “too much movie”. It was worth my watch and I learned not to ever chase away those who truly love me.
It’s a 9.5/10 rating even though it’s too much.
Hi friends, how are you all? Hope you are doing well. Friends, all of us who watch Tamil movies are more or less aware that several Tamil movies have been released recently. I have told you about the few movies that I have seen. Today, I saw a trailer of a Tamil movie. I enjoyed watching the trailer, so I thought that since I have time, I would watch the movie and share some things about this movie with my friends.
The movie is shown in the beginning, some terrorists are shooting with the police in a deep forest or you can say in the deep forest, there the police officer who is conducting the mission is a lady, there are some great action scenes in the beginning, the lady police officer has a family she has a son, today is the birthday of the lady police officer and her son goes to her to wish her. But because the son's officer was in the forest, his son waited with his father for his mother to finish the mission, but an enemy shot hit him in the chest and fell in a corner of the forest, after a long time, when the officer did not come out of the forest, everyone started searching, at one point his son found him, he was immediately taken to the hospital, this is how the director presented the story of the movie.
This movie is an action movie, the way the director has presented his story at the beginning, when you watch the beginning of the movie, you will have a different curiosity to watch the rest, one of the biggest things about Tamil movies is the way you see at the beginning, after watching for a while, you will see that the story has taken a different direction, which you never thought, that's why I like watching Tamil movies. And the story of this movie is very exciting; the mother becomes a senior police officer, and the son becomes a terrorist, a very good story.
Full of great action scenes, quite an expensive movie. I liked it from start to finish. Everyone who has acted in this movie has acted very well, especially the hero of this movie. I like his performance very much; besides, the action director of this movie is very beautiful.
Those who have seen this movie will agree with me, and those who haven't seen this movie yet, if you watch Tamil movies, then you can watch it if you want, hope you don't feel bad.
When I watched the trailer of this movie and saw the name Amandla Sternberg, I remembered this little girl in Colombiana from way back 2011. Very pretty little girl then, now grown into a very beautiful woman, I knew I was going to watch.
The genre is a romantic Drama released in 2017 starring Amandla Stenberg (as Maddy Whittier) and Nick Robinson (as Olly Bright).
🌼 Plot Summary
It follows the story of a girl, maddy, born with a rare immune disorder (Severe Combined Immunodeficiency). She cannot battle any outside disease and infection because she's allergic to everything and might die if she goes outside, and so she's confined indoors, and lived in isolation for 17 years. For these number of years, she had limited interactions with other people. The only people she interacts with are her mom, who's a doctor, the nurse and the nurse's daughter, and some online community of people with the same disease. She has no contact with the outside world whatsoever and so was very lonely.
Her painfully quiet life takes a new turn when on her 18th birthday, new neighbors move in next door — and she meets Olly, a cute, adventurous, kind, and persistent boy the same age. There's this chemistry between them. They start as friends which gradually culminates into a love story. Through text messages, notes on windows, and stolen moments, their connection grows and Maddy begins to question whether a life lived in safety is a life lived at all.
I'm going to do a spoiler free review this time around.
My Review;
Everything, Everything is a gentle, visually appealing young-adult romance that hits the right emotional notes. It has a touch of tragedy and hope. It’s heartfelt, uplifting, and so very easy to enjoy.
Watching the movie, there was a bunch of moments that is so cute, like a cute adventurous love story and I really enjoyed it.
The chemistry between Amandla and Nick is really so sweet and natural. Their youthful connection feels so genuine and heartwarming.
The cinematography was really very beautiful, a lot of great ocean shorts, nature type of shorts that really made me want to go on an adventure.
I also was taken in by the soft indie music and the warm colors which gave the film a dreamy, romantic vibe. So so suitable.
I really loved the relationship between Mandy and Olly. I also loved the way Mandy risked everything by going out into the world even if it kills her.
“Everything’s a risk. Not doing anything is a risk. It’s up to you.”
Amandla Sternberg (Maddy) was amazing in this movie, and I see her as a rising star. Nick Robinson (Olly) was great too, he did a great job. He's a natural.
I loved seeing people of color in the lead role of this romantic drama. It helps challenge racial stereotypes and discrimination.
I wanted to compile a list of Oscar-winning films, to make a list of those that are a must-see in our audiovisual lineup and that you can enjoy watching at your leisure during these rainy days and holidays, but the film below definitely needs a separate and complete mention to convince you that YOU HAVE TO SEE IT!
Parasite (2019) - Oscar winner: Best Picture and Best International Feature Film.
When I saw the title, it didn't catch my attention because it's not my style to watch bugs, humans being eaten, and a savior coming to help us; and that's not all, in the end, a parasite survives for a second part ☢️.
However, I was into Korean movies and plots, and since it won Oscars in so many categories, as well as other important awards, I decided to watch it.
My experience? WOW! WOW! WOW! The name doesn't do justice to everything that movie encompasses, and I'll tell you my reasons for watching it again after five years, because I feel like its plot will remain relevant as long as the world is the world.
One need only read the Bible, our oldest book, which shows us the eccentricities with which kings lived and the poverty and oppression suffered by the less fortunate. This reality has remained unchanged throughout history, and despite numerous attempts and ways of analyzing the social situation, I have come to the conclusion that the rich will always be rich and the poor will always be poor.
And all this is a product of education, access to basic services, job security, social security; in turn, this is linked to the economy, as the more money you have, the better your access to all of the above. And it seems that governments are responsible for maintaining these inequalities. It is as if it were more profitable to be poor than to help everyone to truly live in equal conditions.
Ki-woo's family is a living example of that poor class that does not know how poor it is, remains poor, and has no idea how to get out of poverty, but wants everything. With that outlook, everything starts off badly. Where does this situation lead you? To doing wrong, being dishonest, taking advantage, looking for the easy way out, or letting someone else solve your problems, and that is not right. It also leads you to limit your talents, knowledge, and opportunities because you remain poor.
All the actions taken by the family are opportunistic, emergency measures, temporary, but they do not take decisive action to escape their state of poverty. Why does it emphasize social class? Because they seek the “miracle” of wealth in the Park family's home, which is the complete opposite of the Kim family, and at any cost, they want to live the life of the rich, but without making the slightest effort to obtain their wealth in an honest, honorable way, with effort and sacrifice, as most upper-class people do.
I think the whole plot is EXCELLENT, because the parasite isn't just the disgusting, bloodsucking, freeloading creature that repulses us. The parasite lives within us when we take advantage of other people, when we behave in ways that suggest we “deserve something without working for it,” when we deceive, lie, or betray others to get something we want. The parasite is the one who tramples on another person in order to obtain a benefit. Parasites live within us and feed every day on handouts, donations, our taxes, and demands for benefits that they do not obtain by working, but by being poor, and we should feel sorry for them.
The most dangerous thing is that the parasite lives with resentment and hatred for what they do not deserve, what they have not fought for, but what they consider and have been led to believe they have as many rights to as someone who has worked and fought for the material goods they can accumulate.
One of the scenes I loved was when Mr. Park is in the living room and describes Mr. Kim's smell. I didn't remember that scene, and I think it was the trigger for all the madness that unfolded at the end and ended in tragedy, because the Kim family was hiding and listening to all the derogatory statements being made about their father. I am totally convinced that Mr. Park was ABSOLUTELY RIGHT and that poverty smells and feels; and I'm not just talking about body odor, but the smell of deprivation and lack that a person with common sense and everything else has.
There are people who are undoubtedly talented and should have a future ahead of them, but the economic system itself does not allow them to advance; likewise, these are not reasons to become a leech and “squeeze” a family that has worked for everything it has.
That is why I believe that we must know and recognize these people so that we do not allow them to destroy us and wipe us out. Furthermore, we must recognize if we are the ones who are behaving like true freeloaders and are not working honestly in accordance with our principles and values in order to obtain a better quality of life.
As for the sets, the band, the acting, the effects, and the ending, I think many pages have already been written about how excellent it is, and the awards confirm this, although I certainly did not see the need for a bloody scene when everything was going so well, but that's how Korean cinema is, and it is respected. Furthermore, this does not detract from the whole plot and the two hours it keeps us entertained.
I think it's a film with a lot to offer, so I invite you to watch it and enjoy it as much as I did.

This film is a rather strange project because it is clear that it was made so as not to lose the rights to the character. Otherwise, if it had been made for the love of art, the truth is that it seems more like hatred. The film tries to be similar to the comics, a fairly deep horror story, but the truth is that it falls short, being a low-budget film that I would even say looks like a film made by fans.
If someone had told me that this movie was fan-made, I would say that it's an excellent movie, but since it's a film that's meant for the cinema, not even for a streaming service, but a movie that's meant for you to pay for, I can honestly say that it's a total waste of money. It's a film that has nothing good to offer. The cinematography is boring, the editing is terrible, and the dialogue is cliché. We could say that Hellboy's makeup is good for cosplay, but not for a movie.
I think the big problem with this movie is that you're looking for something similar to the comics. In fact, the previous movie, which also sought to be similar to the comics, was also a failure, and I think the mistake lies in continuing to adapt the stories almost as if they were carbon copies of the comics, especially with questionable budgets, because, in my opinion, the Hellboy stories are difficult to adapt, and I think it's best to adapt them directly into animation or simply leave them on paper as they are.
Some time ago, I watched the trailer of a horror movie named Together. The movie seemed somewhat interesting, somewhat different, and somewhat scary. But finally, I watched the movie as well. This movie has received a rating of 7.0, which might make it seem like the movie is quite good. But the reality is something else.
Basic Story
Let’s talk about the basic story first, in which we get to see the story of two couples. Both are living very comfortably. The wife goes out to work. The husband does some work at home. But in the meantime, slowly, some strange things start happening inside their house. I don’t think I’ve seen any other movie like this so far. I’ve seen ghosts in many movies. But here, you get to see some different things, where these two start sticking to each other.
If they even touch each other, their hands and feet, you can understand, if they do anything, it’s also an adult movie. You’ll get to see such scenes in it. At the end, you’ll see even more. Because of this, you can’t watch it with family. So, there, these people start sticking to each other. So, why are these people suddenly sticking together? What is the reason behind it? What happens in the end? You have to see all these things in this movie.
My Opinion
While watching this movie, only one thing was going through my mind: the director and writer wanted to show out-of-the-box things here. But in the attempt to show out-of-the-box things, they showed something weird. I don’t know why it got a 7.0 rating. But in my opinion, this movie doesn’t deserve such a rating. Yes, there are some horror scenes in the movie that also feel weird. Creepy scenes also feel like that. But they don’t have much impact. They don’t affect us as an audience.
Recently, yesterday, I watched the Annabelle Creation movie. You might know that three Annabelle movies have been released. So, the middle one, the movie that came out in 2017, I watched it on Netflix yesterday. And I liked that movie a lot. It felt good back then. It still feels good. Its scary settings, every single thing feels very good. And in my opinion, that’s what you call a pure horror movie.
Things here are a bit different. This is a psychological horror movie. Because of this, it won’t appeal much to audiences who like watching movies like Creation, Nun, or Annabelle. They won’t like it much. Because here, you don’t get to see much of ghosts or anything like that.
Final Verdict
So, if you like watching psychological horror movies that show something different, then you can watch this one. In my opinion, this movie doesn’t deserve such ratings. A 7.0 rating is a bit too much for it. Otherwise, the actors’ performances, the movie’s budget, everything is quite good. You don’t feel any lack in those aspects.
But still, if I talk about the real essence of a horror movie, it’s the story. Its scary scenes. Jump scares. But you don’t get to see anything like that in this one. And the scenes that are there feel okay. But they aren’t very successful in scaring you.
In the theater, most people’s reactions were just completely still. Many people were leaving the movie halfway through. So, this movie, I think, isn’t for most people. That’s why, if you’re a fan of Annabelle Creation, Nun, or the Conjuring universe, stay away from this movie. It’s not like those at all. And this movie is only released in English in theaters. I would rate this movie 6.5 out of 10.
Throughout history, Superman has been a character who has been brought to the big screen multiple times, always in different versions, in terms of personality. Many said that Henry Cavill's Superman would be difficult to top. Perhaps at some point I thought that, but after seeing James Gunn's most recent work with David Corenswet, we can say we'll have a character for a few more years. I'm a fan of Gunn; I think some of the best Marvel films are his. The Peacemaker series is incredible, and now that he's the creative head of DC, what we can expect is high-quality work. There was a lot of anticipation for this film, and in the end, I think it ended up satisfying most people.
We all know the story of Superman and his origin, so talking about it is pointless. This film is one that I found tremendously classic for two reasons: Lex Luthor and Ultraman as the central villains and the personality of this new Superman. And I want to dwell on this aspect. James Gunn is a guy who has always been faithful to the comics, and with this version of the superhero, he makes that clear. The big difference between Cavill's Superman and the current one is that the first was extremely dark, depressed, unfriendly, antisocial, and almost invincible, while the one we see with Corenwest is the complete opposite: he's more "human," weaker and more vulnerable, much more kind to people; he's a hero who can be defeated.
And there's a reason for this: this Superman is the most faithful to the comic. It wasn't a rash decision by Gunn, nor was it a move to seek approval for already known social agendas; this is a worthy adaptation. The plot isn't bad, but honestly, I didn't think it was that great. I suppose we'll have to keep looking at the theme of multiverses, parallel universes, black holes, etc.; I find it hard to believe that something else can't be done, but at least it's not exactly the same as things done recently. In addition to this fictional theme, they touch on a topic that's very much in vogue these days: war. Many say the conflict we see in the film alludes to what's happening between Ukraine and Russia, and well, it could be. We have an oligarch with a very Russian accent, with warlike overtones. I don't believe in coincidences.
As for the characters, I'm very happy with what I saw. Nicholas Hoult in Luthor's shoes was a great success, with a very unique personality. He's a mix of comedy and evil, and at times he comes across as incredibly fragile as the human being he is. The Engineer, with María Gabriela de Faría, also surprised me. I'd never seen her act in roles of this caliber before, and I think she delivered a very good character, with good fights, good interactions using Spanish words. I'm happy to see a Venezuelan woman go so far. And speaking of the good guys, we know that Green Lantern will have a series, and we saw Hawkgirl and Mr. Terrific again. This is a sign of where this universe is going and Gunn's vision for it.
To wrap things up, I have to talk about the visuals. I have no complaints about that either; everything was very well done, the CGI is well-made, everything is very clean. The ice fortress, the robots, the inclusion of Krypto, the dog, things as basic as the new suit design; I think it all comes together to make the film a truly enjoyable watch. I feel it's an extraordinary film, one of the best I've seen from DC; it's a breath of fresh air for this universe. The superhero film genre is having an interesting resurgence this year, first with Thunderbolts, Superman, and Fantastic Four, which I haven't seen yet but which I understand is also very good. This is encouraging because this world was hopeless.
I can understand the criticism of this film. Some people question one of Hawkgirl's actions, this Superman's new personality, and even the new name they've given to the Justice League. I understand them, but I don't agree at all. This film is a 9/10 in my opinion. Next up is Supergirl with Milly Alcock next year, and we already saw a small cameo here. Highly recommended to fans and non-fans alike. The James Gunn era at the helm has gotten off to a good start.
A24 is a studio that I've grown quite fond of. I admit that their films are somewhat complex and sometimes difficult to understand, but watching them is a great experience, I assure you. Before Warfare, the last production I saw from them was Civil War, a film that presents a social conflict through the eyes of journalists who risk their lives to get the story firsthand. It's incredible, if you ask me. Thanks to that film, and since it's the same director, I decided to watch Warfare. I have to say that this is something completely different.
Warfare is not a film for everyone. It is very realistic, incredibly immersive, and features performances that convey every emotion as if you were there yourself. Needless to say, as I always do, there will be some spoilers, so if you haven't seen the film yet, go see it and then come back. If you're going with the intention of enjoying Warfare just to distract yourself for a while and watch something “light,” well, I'll tell you right now that that's exactly what you're not going to find in this movie.
This time I did see the trailer before watching the movie, and I must say that the trailer really grabbed me, and I waited like a little kid for the movie to come out. First things first, and the first thing is to know what Warfare is about. This movie is about a surveillance mission assigned to a platoon in the battle of Ramadi back in 2006. Everything gets complicated when the platoon is attacked by enemy forces and now they have to get out of where they are.
The first thing I should point out about Warfare is that it feels a little “slow” at first, but that's because the film takes its time, and rather than being a negative point, it's a positive one that manages to make the film even more immersive. In the first half, everything is absolutely “calm,” and we can observe the duality of situations in wars, where at one moment everything is completely calm, but everything can change in the blink of an eye, and the film makes that very clear.
According to opinions I have researched, Warfare is a film that accurately depicts war and the high levels of stress in such situations, as in the case of our protagonist platoon. The costumes, the vocabulary, the weapons, the tactics, the anger and stress of the people whose homes were taken, the wounds, and how the actors are perfectly capable of conveying to the viewer the pain that the character is suffering at that moment—everything is simply done with a surprising level of detail.
Movies convey many emotions and feelings, and with Warfare, I can assure you that each scene will put you in the shoes of the protagonists and make you sympathize with their suffering. It's not a movie for everyone, I can assure you of that. Although I don't usually watch this type of movie, I dare say that there are few like it (I still have to watch Hacksaw Ridge), and I would only recommend it if you are not sensitive to this type of scene.
Another important aspect of the film is the sound: every shot, every explosion, the passing of the plane demonstrating its power, the radio communication can be heard even better. Sound is absolutely and completely a key point in the film, and at times you can hear tinnitus for several minutes, further increasing the anguish not only of the characters but also of the viewer.
Without a doubt, Warfare is a unique experience. Alex Garland is a good director of this type of film (although I've only seen Civil War), as he demonstrated with his previous film on the same theme, also produced by A24, but this film exceeded my expectations. I don't recommend Warfare to everyone. I watched it with a family member, and I don't think they wanted to see it again, so I'll take the liberty of saying that only if you like this type of film should you go ahead and watch it. Otherwise, give it a miss.
Experiences like this are rare, or at least to my knowledge, so if you had the opportunity to see it in the theater, you are very fortunate. If you've made it this far, I'd like to thank you for taking the time to read this. I invite you to leave your opinion so we can share a little about this great movie. Thank you for reading! Until next time!

I wasn't sure what to expect from the recent Superman film. I'm not really a fan of James Gunn and his style. And in general I haven't been all that caught up with most superhero stuff. I've tried to give some films a chance and have found them to be decent attempts, while others just missed their mark with me a bit more. I saw that the film, despite coming out not that many weeks back, ended up being sent almost straight to digital, and usually that's quite a bad sign when it means the box office hype has already sizzled down. Though box office results aren't always anything meaningful, sometimes audiences just aren't present for no particular reason. My reason for not really paying much attention to the Superman film's production was really just that I didn't feel interested at the time, though that changed as I saw a lot of conflicting opinions on the film which did admittedly start to pique my interest. And I have to say I am quite glad that I let that interest linger and grow until I decided to check the film out. This was quite a refreshing adaptation of the character, and one I think we've been needing for a while.
While Henry Cavill was an excellent choice for the character previously, I think some of those portrayals took things a bit too seriously sometimes. And that's fine, these are complex characters and ultimately can be told in any shape or form. Though rarely are they, so even the more darker considerations can be welcomed. I think this lingered on a bit too much in some ways. And the original portrayals of the character were a bit more relaxed in comparison, where the Clark Kent character was far more comedic and the adventures of Superman were more about saving regular people. Though here in 2025's Superman, Clark Kent handles a bit of the drama and the comedy. The struggle of being the Superman character in a world of fragile and confused humans is very much present, and I found myself really appreciating that side of things. It still takes the darker side of the character and the question of Superman being a God and almighty ruler over humanity if he pleases.
Though in this instance he has no interest in doing so. He has pure intent. Trying to save everyone and everything, down to squirrels that get caught up in the crossfire. And the large monsters that appear in the city are initially attempted to be dealt with in a respectful manner that doesn't harm them in a permanent manner. I liked both the Superman and the Clark Kent portrayals, and it's easy to see the more human side of the character, which is a stark contrast to how some of the actual humans function around him. This comes with the greed of politicians and corporations, which aim to promote their attempts at riches and power. There's like a series of little stories within the film which handle different themes, and it's a film that's in constant motion but handles each of them well: Clark's love life with Lois. The want to help people. The conflict of being an alien on Earth. The many different superheroes which are found within this world.
It's like the film picks up in the middle of it all. Where there's no backstory for once, no retelling of the character. We jump right into the main part. As if we have known the characters for a long time already. And this really sold the world to me more, it really made me interested in it and the characters, wanting a bit more of it. It left me thinking that this would've been the pilot to a television series, starting off with a big bit of drama and then following off into more bite-sized episodes. Even with the elements of the world that unfold in the background of the film: again more superheroes and monsters. I appreciated that the film didn't overdo this side of things, where it didn't overdo things and step too far in any direction. Despite all of this, the story progresses on.
In terms of the directing and cinematography, I think the film was quite a colourful one. And sometimes the camera movements really get creative to further immerse us into the environments. They're easy to miss sometimes given how suddenly they appear and go. Despite my lack of interest in Gunn's works, I was surprised at how good of a job he did with this one. For the genre and the character, it felt fresh. Though there's still some of that superhero silliness that spreads into the film through quirkiness. Fortunately it isn't too much, and the Guardians of the Galaxy style wasn't too present. A decent film overall.
I’ve always wondered what it would feel like to be in real danger, the kind of situation where you desperately need someone to swoop in and save you. I have been in different kinds of danger, but not like that of being kidnapped. Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m not planning to get kidnapped anytime soon (God forbid 😂), but let’s be honest, our minds sometimes wander into these “what if” scenarios. I remember always thinking of scenarios where terrorists entered my class, and I had to save everyone, but I have grown now, and I wouldn't even want to encounter such an event. And here’s the fun part: if I had to choose one fictional character to come rescue me, who would it be? A bold hero or a clever villain, or maybe that one unpredictable character who doesn’t play by the rules? Their personality, their methods, even how far they’re willing to go, all of it would matter. After thinking of all of this, there is only one person I can think of right now, and that person is "John Wick."
Designed on Canva.
John Wick is a very popular anti hero and for many people who have seen the movie "John Wick" would understand that, if I am this man own, and I get kidnapped or injure, there is no length he wouldn't go to make sure I am rescue and for the kidnappers, I have nothing to say about that.
The reason I picked John Wick is because of his dedication to the cause; he is a man of focus and can never be easily distracted. There are many heroes and villains out there who, because of a little distraction and loss of focus, lost a lot of things, but when this man put his mind to something, he would make sure that thing was settled before doing anything else.
A man whose son killed John Wick's dog has one thing to say to his son after his son bragged that they have more men who can protect him, and besides, John Wick is just a man, so how will he get him? He said.
I can assure you that the stories you hear about this man, if nothing else, have been watered down.
Then went on to hug his son because he knew the kind of danger the son was in. Now, imagine John Wick was given the information to come rescue me, with such focus, I know that at the end of the day, none of the kidnappers will live to tell the story.
Then John Wick goes on and pull up a line like this when they ask him what he would need to come rescue me
Guns. Lots of guns.
I'll just be chilling with my kidnappers and be singing the song for them
"Jerusalem on high
My song and city is;
My home whene'er I die,
The center of my bliss."
"Oh, happy place!
When shall I be,
My God, with thee
To see your face?"
I am sure, only a few of them would know the meaning, but I will be happy to sing them a crossing over to the afterlife song, because that's all I can give them at that time, based on my generous character. Although, they would be seeing God, they would be going straight to hell but one of them might confess his sin before John Wick do his job.
At the end of the day, the thought of being rescued by John Wick might sound extreme, but that’s exactly the point. In a world full of distractions, betrayals, and half-hearted commitments, my hero's relentless focus and loyalty stand out. He may not be the shining, noble superhero in a cape, but he is the man who will get the job done, no questions asked, no compromises made. If I ever found myself in the worst kind of danger, I wouldn’t want a hero who hesitates, I’d want a force of nature. And for me, that force has a name John Wick.
Hello everyone, my friends who are fans of good stories, dear Hive community, I hope you're all doing great. This time, I'm going to talk about the Minecraft movie and... oh my god... I don't even know where to start... I was thinking, "Okay, the Mario one was good, the Sonic one was a pleasant surprise, have they finally gotten the hang of this video game movie thing?" Well, forget it, grab that optimism, throw it out the window, set it on fire and scatter the ashes... this thing... look, this thing makes Pixels look like The Godfather, and I'm not exaggerating, I seriously think the Teletubbies have a deeper plot than this. It's... wow... really, saying it's disappointing is an understatement, because, look, we get the idea! Those of us who play Minecraft already know how it works, and those of us who don't don't need every little thing explained to them like we're babies, they treat you like you're stupid.
Remember those great kids' movies from the 80s, like The Goonies or Labyrinth? Or even Shrek or Toy Story? Those didn't treat kids like idiots; they had depth, real challenges, and emotion. But this? This feels... I don't know, like they're talking to a baby, but with explosions. It seems like they're terrified a kid might get bored for even a second, so what do they do? Boom! Loud noises, really bad jokes, just nonsense on screen all the time, instead of, I don't know, writing a damn engaging story! And how do they resolve things in the plot? It totally feels like it was pulled out of their 🥚 Need a way out of trouble? Don't worry, a convenient object will appear or something happens that makes no sense, zero logic, zero... the movie just jumps from one chaotic scene to another, probably to keep the little ones glued to the screen. But the plot... a disaster, illogical, the whole script seems like it was written by a drunken villager, it's absurd.
Okay, and now... oh, the characters? To say they're flat is an understatement, for starters, Jack Black... look, it's Jack Black playing Jack Black... I mean, it's the same old show: hyperactive, making faces at the camera... like in all his movies, but now in a world of cubes... mind you, I like Jack Black, the guy has his charisma, you can't deny it, and honestly, he and Momoa are almost the only thing that makes you smile in this whole mess... mostly because they're doing their usual act, but it feels weak, like they didn't try very hard. And Jason Momoa? What's up with that character? He puts effort into it, yes, he has a couple of funny moments, but he feels irrelevant, like he doesn't contribute much. Emma Myers, who I loved on Wednesday, here seems like she's sleepy or bored the whole time, every time she appears, the energy of the scene drops to the floor.
They're flat, dull... then there's Jennifer Coolidge... Can someone explain to me what she was doing there? Her role is... weird, I don't know... going down in history... if you can even call it that. What a problem, people! It feels super jumbled, like it's not going anywhere of course, the start is kind of... meh, and you think "well, maybe it gets better", but no way! They present you with kind of strange things, character motivations that are super vague, like a textbook villain, really generic, it feels like they didn't know what to tell or how to connect it all... it's a mess, really.
¿Alguien me explica qué hacía ahí?
And suddenly, change of plans! The film seems to forget the beginning and introduces us to these two brothers who have just moved in. One is Jason Momoa (more on him later) with an antique shop, sort of stuck in the past, and the other brother, Henry, who doesn't seem to fit in very well... it's boring how everything is solved with a ton of explanations one after the other, especially with Jack Black's voice, who NEVER shuts up. Visually... let's see... the world of cubes looks a bit like Minecraft, that's perhaps the only thing they got more or less right. But even that feels cheap, the mix of the flesh-and-blood actors with the computer-generated background is... uncomfortable... you don't believe it at all, it looks strange, outdated, and, honestly, quite tacky, especially considering how much this film supposedly cost. There were times that felt like a fan-made movie with a badly placed green screen... how do you spend 150 million green to make it look like that... but the worst crime of all, people... is that they missed the mark on the spirit of Minecraft.
Minecraft is about creating, building, exploring, making your own adventure, this movie has almost none of that... instead of showing cool builds or clever uses of the game mechanics, what do they give us? Characters singing songs? A dancing pig? Creeper explosions for the sake of it? They give you a generic villain and forget about iconic things from the game, it feels like the people who made this have no understanding at all of what makes Minecraft special... they just took the most basic and repeated adventure movie template and slapped the Minecraft logo on top of it, that's it.
And yes, there are references to the game, of course – you see familiar things, but they’re just there, like decoration in an empty house… seeing some of the game isn’t enough to save a bad movie. Sure, in the theater some people scream when something appears, but it feels hollow because the movie itself is very weak… don’t give me that “Oh, relax, it’s for kids! Turn off your brain!” No, people! That’s a cheap excuse to justify mediocre, half-baked movies… kids aren’t stupid! They deserve better things than this superficial thing that tries to only entertain them with nonsense, they deserve movies that hook them, that challenge them, that maybe even make them think or feel something real, this movie does none of that. It just screams, explodes, and crosses its fingers that you don’t notice how empty it is.
The ending... well, it's pretty much what you'd expect: lots of chaos, effects, the characters realizing really obvious things about friendship and believing in themselves... the usual clichés, on top of that, they throw in some secondary stories that have NOTHING to do with the main thing, they feel totally disconnected, as if they were stuck together with tape for no reason... weird and pure filler that contributes nothing. Honestly, this feels like a huge step backwards, after other video game movies that were better... But hey, if it wasn't noticeable, I didn't like it, at all... I went into it expecting something funny, even if it wasn't perfect, and I left angry, feeling cheated... if I have to give it a grade... a 4/10? And I'm being generous, more than anything because of the occasional laugh thanks to Black, and well... that's all for today. Tell me? Did you dare to see it? We'll see you in the next reviews, take care, bye-bye!
¡No, gente!
