War films don’t always pull me in. I mostly skip them except I see a trailer that’s compelling enough. This is because they mostly feel like the same explosions and military tropes recycled again and again. But The Covenant just hits differently. maybe it’s because it’s Guy Ritchie’s or because Jake’s in it. Lol
Well, the beauty in it is that it's not just about shootings and bombings here and there with no clear storyline but it shows trust, loyalty and what it means to owe someone your life. That’s what hooked me.
Synopsis(possible spoilers I guess)
The film follows the U.S. Army Sergeant John Kinley (Jake Gyllenhaal) and his Afghanistan interpreter, Ahmed (Dar Salim). After a mission of hunting for bomb mines goes wrong and several of Kinley’s men are gunned down, save himself and Ahmed, they seek a way to escape. But when Kinley eventually gets hit, Ahmed saves his life, dragging him through dangerous territory of the Talibs at great personal risk.
Kinley is back in America and is well but feels indebted to Ahmed after learning that Ahmed and his family are being hunted by the Taliban. He is unable to ignore the debt and works tirelessly to make sure he gets Ahmed out of the hole he’s been hiding in. Now that’s where the “covenant” comes in.
What I found really impressive about this film is the relationship between Kinley and Ahmed. It feels raw and real. Jake Gyllenhaal brings his usual intensity, but it’s Dar Salim who floored me. Ahmed isn’t just a side character, he’s the heart of the film, torn between protecting his family and standing by his promise. Their dynamic is the emotional engine, and it makes the action sequences matter more because it makes you care what happens to them.
And then there’s the action itself. Brutal, but not overblown. Ritchie doesn’t go for flashy gunfights or stylized slow-mo here. Instead, it feels grounded, tense, sweaty. You hear every bullet and feel the weight of every decision. The Afghan landscapes are stark and beautiful, and the atmosphere really hammers home how unforgiving the situation is.
I admire the fact that the film isn’t idealized. Some parts feel stretched and you can sense Ritchie trying to balance action spectacle with heavy emotional weight, sometimes leaning too far one way or the other. But honestly? The sincerity of the story outweighs the flaws.
Another interesting aspect is that the film never loses sight of the “covenant.” It’s about what people owe each other when survival is on the line. It’s less a war movie and more a story of brotherhood, sacrifice and unfinished debts that haunt you until you make them right.
Would I recommend it? Absolutely and that’s especially if you want a war film with more heart than hype. This one lingers with you long after the credits roll.
I will admit that when it comes to making films about vampires it can prove to be a very difficult genre to do anything original especially since so many of them have been made. Just think about how many times the original has been told or how Nosferatu was essetially the same film as Bram Stoker's Dracula but with different actors and less "I am an FBI Agent!" leads.
In Daybreakers we take on a topic that as far as I know has never really been approached in vampire films and after watching it, I think there is a very good reason WHY it was never attempted.
I like all three of these guys so I expected to get solid performances out of all three of them and as far as that is concerned, the film delivers. I am one of those people that thinks DaFoe can really do no wrong in acting, Ethan Hawke is pretty damn solid as well and Sam Neill is normally pretty good but I have a chip on my shoulder towards him because I think he does too many films. Regardless though, they all play their roles in this film flawlessly.
That isn't the problem though. The problem for me and many others was that this entire film isn't about vampires trying to stay in the shadows in order to not upset the balance of the world as far as humans are concerned, we are thrust into a rather preposterous situation where humans have basically been near eradicated and now there is a shortage of blood or food for the vampires that now almost completely control the world.
This is preposterous for so many reasons, the main one being that we are dealing with a supernatural group of creatures who are incapable of doing anything for 16 hours of every day. Therefore, that would be a pretty limiting factor as far as domination of anything is concerned, especially complete global dominion.
They attempt to explain this away at the start of the film by explaining that a plague of sorts took the world by storm that turned almost everyone into vampires even if they weren't bitten (I think, I wasn't paying 100% attention) but now the humans that remain exist as cattle of sorts and there are not enough of them to sustain the vampire population. Again, they attempt to explain this in a fast-forward sort of sense but the entire setup just seems preposterous to me.
There does seem to be some sort of evil corporation that is intentionally making the situation like this but again, this is not enough of an explanation for the absence of humans. They touch base on this very briefly towards the end of the film and I wont spoil it for you, but the explanation is so brief that it almost felt as though the people who wrote the screenplay also thought it was kind of stupid.
Without spoiling too much - which ultimately I am not all that concerned about because I don't think you should watch this - they spend a lot of time talking about how there are so few humans remaining in the world but just 10 minutes later we are introduced to a rather large settlement of humans, with more on the way. If humans are so vital, then why is it that instead of trying to work something out with said humans, that they instead come along and slaughter all of them?
The scenery is good, the acting is solid across the board (even for minor actors in the cast) and the vehicles and what not are plausible for vampires to be capable of operating during the day. But there are some glaring inconsistencies that exist in the story simply for the advancement of the rather weak plot.
For one thing, there is a convoy of humans that decides to make this journey from one place to another at night. Are you friggin kidding me? I would have been happier with it if there was just some sort of magical vampire bullshit vehicles and suits (and they have these too) that allow vampires to operate during the day but humans intentionally travelling during what they are extremely aware if the most vulnerable time possible for them? Sorry, that's just too far-fetched.
Also, a great many of the important moments of this film depend entirely on insane coincidental interactions that happen at the last moment. I mean, it's ok if this happens a couple of times but it is just one after the other in this thing to the point where the character development and where we are going and why don't even matter anymore. Once anyone is trapped, if they are a "good guy" and part of the main cast someone is going to rescue them at the last second. There is no reason for any sort of tension at all. This is something I cannot tolerate in any film.
Should I watch it?
I hate to say this about a film that has 3 great actors in it but no, I don't think you should. The reason why I am having difficulty remembering all the details of this film is because it just becomes so convoluted and stupid so quickly. The story is so disjointed and filled with plotholes that there is no cohesion here and in the end there really isn't any way to wrap it up. Combine this with the fact that every little thing that happens is remarkably predictable, and we have a film that can easily be skipped and just move on to the next thing.

So yesterday was the weekend and I decided to pamper myself by watching a movie in lazy style mode. The movie was recommended as comical which drew me in as I wanted something to ease my nerves.
The movie I watched is titled LEO starring Adams Sandler and It is an American musical comedy animation movie great for kids and adults as well.
Movie synopsis
Leo was a class five pet lizard who wanted to see the world before he died at 75,since he was already 74 years old. His roommate Squirtle, a tortoise, told him to confine himself to his present situation as he would never leave the class. But Leo's fate changed one day when a new substitute teacher made each kid in class take home a pet and a talkative girl took Leo home.
In his bid to escape from her place, his secret of being a talking animal was exposed but he quickly lied and covered it up. Soon Leo got taken by all the kids and they grew attached to him.
He was an embodiment of wisdom and his teachings on life lessons empowered the kids to be their best. But the substitute teacher wanted all the credit for herself and so she fooled the kids, lied to them and abandoned Leo in the Everglades.
It took Squirtle confessing his jealousy about Leo that the truth came out and in the end, it all worked out fine.
What I liked and learnt from the movie
I liked the fact that the musical was not too much and it blended with the lines. I liked the life lessons that Leo taught the kids. He went out of his way to be selfless. He put the kids first, listened to their issues, rants and complaints and he guided them back onto a positivity route that brought out the best in those kids.
Everyone has got issues and everyone has got something they want to complain about but if we can just look past the issues and look on the bright side of things, then we will be on our way to overcoming those issues. This was a major lesson I learnt from watching Leo.
I also liked the light but hearty banter shared amongst Leo, Squirtle and the kids. It made my heart flutter with delight and relaxed my nerves.
We have a choice to see good in people even when those people present a rough and rough image to us. You never know, they might just be pretending to be strong externally because they're hurting inside. This was another thing I learnt from this movie.
What I didn't like about the movie
First was the sarcasm. It felt a little off for me but it wasn't much so I let it slide. Secondly, was the slow-mo vibe that it had at the beginning.
Leo is not your regular action packed, fast paced movies rather it has a slow vibe to it and if you are not the patient type, you might find this movie boring but I promise that it gets better towards the end and watching it from start to finish will be worth your while.
I rate this movie a 6.5/10. It was funny and Adams Sandler did a great job with his voice and performance.
I hated this movie. My wife and I went to see it in the theater this afternoon. If I had been watching at home, half way through I would have left to go play video games, exercise, twiddle my thumbs, stare out the window or basically do anything to not waste any more time on this movie.
The ads make it look like this is going to be a quirky and fun movie like Baby Driver, Bullet Train or even True Romance. But that is not at all what I got. To be fair, my wife said she did like the movie, didn't love it, but at least liked it, but not me. I thought it was completely ruined by one detail that made the rest of the movie simply unwatchable. Because I have always promised to never spoil a movie... even if I think it is terrible, I won't spoil this one. But I can say that something so serious and unpleasant happens in the middle of the movie that it completely ruined it.
The movie starts as a fun romp with quirky characters and some funny dialogue. Austin Butler is just flat our charming so its hard to find a fault with him. I also think this was the best role Zoe Kravitz has played (outside of herself in the TV show 'The Studio"). She is also incredibly charismatic. Matt Smith as the Punk (literally) neighbor is also very entertaining. If they had stuck to the light-hearted, quirky and fun motif, this would have been a great movie. But they didn't. And it ruined the movie completely.
The first act is quirky and fun. The third act could have been quirky and fun. But the second act is so devastatingly serious that it made me feel bad about laughing at anything after that point.
To be honest, this is my own fault. Darren Aronofsky has literally never made a fun movie. Seriously look up all 20 of them. You might says some are good (most are not) but not a single one is fun. I have no idea why I let the ad campaign fool me into thinking he learned how to have fun. I mean the only movies of his that I actually think was extremely high quality were Pi and Requiem for a Dream. Neither of which come anywhere close to even 1 fun scene. Requiem for a dream may be a masterpiece, but it is one that you watch when you want to be reminded that"drugs are bad M'kay".
Actual footage of me trying to escape this movie.
I could really tell that Aronofsky was trying to be fun. He actually pulled it off for two thirds of the movie but that middle third... he just couldn't help himself. He simply had to make the audience miserable for no reason. By not picking a lane of either being super sad and serious, or being fun with some dark humor, he ended up doing neither. This movie felt like two completely different movies mashed together in a way that made nothing work.
Sadly, all it would have taken was one different detail and he could have actually pulled off a fun romp. I have no idea how this made it by a test audience without them saying "What the fuck? You seriously did that?"
I have always said, I actually appreciate bad movies. Following the Taoist principal of the Yin and The Yang, seeing terrible movies makes me really appreciate all of the good ones. It also allows me to show my readers that I don't just automatically love everything I watch. Sometimes a writer and director make a horrendous mistake. Both clearly did in Caught Stealing.
Hello, dear movie-loving community! This film is one that few forget; it stuck in my mind as one of the best I've ever seen. I can't explain how it impacted me, but it touches on one of those themes that is so common to all of us that it's worth watching. I should point out that it is an adaptation of a book, which I haven't read but would love to, called “Tony and Susan” written by Austin Wright. The theme: love and heartbreak, and the lasting consequences they leave behind.
Nocturnal Animals was released in December 2016, directed by Tom Ford and its reviews were mostly positive. It stars Amy Adams, Jake Gyllenhaal, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Michael Shannon, Isla Fisher and Armie Hammer. The film begins when Susan Morrow, the owner of an art gallery, receives a novel written by her ex-husband Edward Sheffield and sees that it is dedicated to her. This work is called "Nocturnal Animals". Immersed in a marriage deteriorated by her current husband, who is unfaithful, she begins to read it and to remember the past with her ex-husband.
The entire film is told through Susan's memories of her former ambitions, disappointments, and the consequences they had, triggered by reading the novel sent to her by her ex-husband. It is dedicated to her, and in the end, we realize why. At first, the novel surprises her with its cruelty, rawness, and darkness, but undoubtedly also with the perfection with which it is written, and that was because she never believed her ex-husband would be able to achieve it.
The plot highlights the world of unhappiness in which Susan finds herself immersed, due to her decisions, the history of her youth, and the certainty that she herself destroyed it because of her own vanity and ambition. She wanted more out of life than a poor writer could give her, which led her to cheat on him with her current husband and later leave him. Ironically, her new marriage ends in the same way.
Emotions of disappointment and sadness permeate the entire film. For me, the work is presented as her ex-husband's revenge on her, emphasizing everything she lost and what the breakup of their marriage meant to him, how incredibly devastating it was. It also reminds her that her dreams were within her reach and that, thanks to Susan's pettiness, love is destroyed forever. She confuses her ex-husband's dreams with mediocrity and follows the path of social conventions in her own circle, trusting more in her ego and ambitions. She needed to be the center of attention and didn't want those dreams to displace her, so she lost everything. We see all this through the characters in her ex-husband's novel.
The contrast between a man who loved her madly and another who replaces her with someone else, leaving her long nights alone, leads her to long for a reunion with her former love. He agrees, but his absence makes her realize that the love she lost is dead and will never return. It is a sad and moving ending that really strikes a chord with the viewer, and it is devastating to understand the truth of disappointment. A work not to be missed, where the value of dreams contrasts with the conventions and pettiness of life itself.

Hello, my dear cinephile friends! I hope you're all well! Today I'm here to share with you a film I recently had the opportunity to see in theaters. It's the live-action Lilo Stitch, released through Walt Disney Pictures and starring Maia Kehaloa and Chris Sanders in the lead roles.
Plot / Trama
Lilo Pelekai is a lonely girl who finds it difficult to make friends, and lives with her sister Nani since her parents passed away. One night, Lilo asks a shooting star to make a lasting friend and what seemed to be a star was actually Stitch's spaceship, which Lilo later adopts in a shelter believing it to be a dog. Lilo and Stitch will live many adventures together while Lilo tries to behave well and Stitch flees from Jumba and Peakley, who are other disguised aliens who were sent to capture him for being a "failed experiment." It is a remake of the 2002 animated film that teaches us the value of true friendship, and family love which is capable of overcoming any difficult situation.
My Opinion / Mi Opinión
I've been waiting for this film with great anticipation and anticipation, as the animated version is one of my childhood favorites. I really liked the actors' performances, especially Maia Kehaloa and Sydney Agudong, who play the roles of Lilo and Nani. I also loved that they included voice actors from the animated version, such as Tia Carrere and Jason Scott Lee, who played Nani and David in the animated version.
I also loved the story, as it's quite similar to the animated version, which made me feel very nostalgic, the changes and additions didn't bother me at all, as they weren't drastic; in my opinion, they turned out well. I also thought the photography was quite good overall; it has a wide color palette that worked perfectly, and I thought the locations used for filming were beautiful.
The soundtrack also seems incredible to me, I loved that they added new songs, in addition to almost all of the ones from the first version, among them my favorites, "Burning Love" (sung by Bruno Mars' nephews this time) and Hawaiian Rollercoaster Ride (sung by Iam Tongi accompanied by a children's choir this time) and I thought both were very good although, I would have liked to have had a new version of Can't Help Falling In Love too, because I still like listening to the A*Teens version from the animated movie.
I haven't been entirely satisfied with the Disney remakes lately, but I'd say this one hit the mark, as it was like a nostalgia hit and, in my case, made my inner child happy. I had the chance to see it in the theater with a very special friend, and I truly enjoyed it. I'd like to recommend it to anyone who hasn't seen it yet. I hope you like it as much as me!
Well my people, this has been all for today's post, I hope you liked it and enjoyed it. It was a pleasure to share with you this movie that I enjoyed a lot, thank you for your attention and support to my work, I send you all a hug and I'll see you in a next opportunity.

I was really looking forward to this horror movie, and I can say that it didn't disappoint me in that regard, but it also lacks the depth it should have, since the plot tries to be mysterious to the point that it doesn't end up clarifying everything, but this isn't entirely good, since it simply leaves quite large gaps in the script. I think one of the things that works well in this movie is that it genuinely makes you feel creeped out and disgusted the way both bodies are put together.
And while the premise of the film is quite original, which is a point in its favor, I think the relationship between the two main characters could have been better written, but it's fine in terms of understanding each other's perspective and what they want to achieve. And how they have to overcome their relationship, because the film is really a message about what a relationship is all about, but with this style of horror that, rather than being scary, feels creepy and disgusting, very similar to the movie The Thing. creepy, very similar to the movie The Thing.
I don't think it's a masterpiece of cinema, but among the impressive horror films that have come out this year, I can say that I really liked it. I think it's a film that people should give a chance to see. It's true that if you came with super high expectations of what this film could do, you might suddenly be a little disappointed, but it does deliver on what it promises. and the good thing about this film is that it doesn't seek to create a franchise; it seeks to tell a story that simply wants to be told, and it ends, and you don't want it to end, but the ending is just a little strange. I think it could have been better done.

Greetings, Hivers. Wishing everyone a happy weekend. We’ve entered the month of September, which for some time now has been recognized as the month of the yellow ribbon, a symbol of the fight against suicide. It’s a topic that’s deeply sensitive to address, yet incredibly important given the high mortality rates that have emerged in recent years due to this painful and tragic decision to seek an escape.
Coincidentally, Prime Video’s streaming service recently suggested a rather peculiar series to me. In short, it tackles this subject from a deeply painful yet also contemplative angle.
If you’re not bothered by graphic or bloody storylines, I strongly recommend watching this series with an objective lens. It reveals suffering from various human perspectives, showing how such a drastic decision can impact not only loved ones but also the collective emotional fabric of humanity.

“Death's Game” is an adaptation of a webtoon novel that follows the story of a young, idealistic Korean man who dreams of living an ordinary life, studying hard to secure a good job, marrying the woman he loves, and starting a traditional family.
However, not everything aligns with his dreams when he fails to land the job he had worked so hard for. In Korea, employment is a major challenge, especially when not secured at a young age, due to the lengthy and competitive recruitment processes.
As he persistently tries to work to pay off student debts and simply survive day to day, his mind becomes clouded not only with disappointment but also with dark thoughts that push him to the brink of collapse.
The story unfolds in a setting where society seems to reward those with little ambition for top-tier jobs, allowing them to advance quickly in a demanding and unforgiving labor market. This dynamic is often portrayed in Korean culture as a hallmark of dramatic storytelling, an unflinching reflection of societal pressure and emotional struggle.

Immersed in the denial of continuing to strive for a good job, he begins to let everything go, even his love which becomes the trigger for a decision that will change his life forever.
Suicide is a frequent theme in Korea, largely due to the hyper competitive job market, the high cost of living, and the social bullying faced by those who don’t belong to a socially accepted class. From young people to older adults who lose their jobs, many see suicide as their only way out.
The Game of Death serves as a portrayal of how humans think and act under such circumstances, often placing their lives on the edge of an abyss. Suicide is viewed as a grave sin, with the dominant religious belief being that those who take their own lives end up in hell.
However, for this young man who has made that decision, he is judged not only for committing suicide but also for harming someone else, something revealed gradually throughout each episode. While the harm appears physical, it ultimately carries a much deeper, symbolic meaning.
ENG Text
Death, in its figurative form and portrayed as a female entity, makes a wager that this young man will end up in hell after making him endure twelve different deaths in twelve distinct bodies and moments in time, claiming that with each death, the pain will intensify.
This is, without a doubt, a masterful series one of the best I’ve seen so far in addressing such a delicate topic. It projects the harsh reality experienced by those around someone who commits suicide, the sacrifice of a mother who gave everything to offer her son the best, a girlfriend whose sincere love led her to become a great writer, and a young man who personally suffers all these pains across different lives.
The ending is heartbreaking, but necessary in confronting humanity’s arrogance in devaluing life or in portraying those who choose to end their lives as selfish toward those around them. At some point, this perspective becomes a morally and socially destructive cycle.
Within the storyline, each life reveals how cruel society can be in different scenarios, ultimately leading people to consider suicide. It underscores the vital importance of mental health in preventing countless social catastrophes.
There are movies that were made to entertain with fictional stories, and there are movies that are made to educate and many of them are based on true stories and are my favorites, I saw this movie more than 10 years ago, since it is from 2008, I saw it again for the second time because I loved the fact that at that time I did not know what Tourette syndrome is, which is a disorder of the nervous system that causes people who suffer from it to make repetitive movements and sounds, something that if you do not know it could seem very strange or annoying to you.

I'm talking about "Top of the Class," a beautiful film that everyone should see. It's based on the book by Professor Brad Cohen, where we learn a little about his life from childhood to adulthood, living with Tourette's syndrome. When Brad was a child, he had to live through some very awkward and unfair moments at school. He was rejected a lot by both his classmates and teachers for the sounds he made involuntarily. This was very frustrating for him because he didn't know how to explain to people that he wasn't doing it on purpose. The only one who supported and understood him was his mother, because his father was the complete opposite.

None of the doctors he'd gone to knew what was wrong with Brad until his mother did some personal research and discovered that her son had Tourette's syndrome, something that had no cure. But Brad never gave up, nor did he let this condition or people's mockery prevent him from having a normal life. That's how he became an elementary school teacher, which was his big dream: to educate and teach children. But at first, it wasn't an easy task for him to be accepted as a teacher in schools because of his syndrome, which is why he was rejected many times in interviews. Even so, he never gave up, always insisted and persevered until he found the ideal school that would accept him just as he was.

It's a story that teaches us the harm that a lack of information and knowledge can do to others, and how important it is to educate society about the different illnesses that exist, both cognitively and physically. We also learn that we shouldn't underestimate or devalue people with these conditions and view them as freaks. They're just like us, just with different abilities. And if we have the right knowledge, we can help them lead fuller, happier, and more normal lives, integrating them into society like anyone else. We live in such a developed world with so much technology and knowledge that it should make their lives easier and give them the same opportunities as everyone else, tailored to their abilities.
What I loved most about this film was lead actor Jimmy Wolk's ability to perfectly portray Brad's real-life condition. You'd actually think he had the syndrome in real life. He's an excellent actor and masterfully portrayed the character. Although the film's image quality isn't the best and it doesn't have a complex or in-depth plot, it's a great film that achieved what it sought: to educate the viewer and bring to light a reality that many adults and children suffer from today. So I truly recommend everyone watch it as a family. Thank you for reading and making it to the end. If you've already seen this film, let me know your thoughts!

Among the dark visions of the future offered by the sci-fi genre, one of the bleakest would undoubtedly be the scenario in which the surface of a Earth ravaged by nuclear apocalypse represents the promised land, or at least a temporary refuge for the last remnants of humanity. It is precisely in such a situation that the protagonists of the TV series The 100 found themselves at the start of the second season, after the collapse of life-support systems forced them to abandon the safety of orbital stations and attempt to survive on the planet of their ancestors. This became possible thanks to the prior arrival of an expedition—or more precisely, a suicidal reconnaissance mission comprising 100 juvenile delinquents. This mission discovered that Earth was, in fact, in far better condition than anticipated and habitable, albeit with certain “minor” inconveniences such as residual radiation, specimens of monstrously mutated fauna of enormous proportions, and, of course, the descendants of the surviving population who had devolved into barbaric tribes viewing outsiders as intruders who must be eradicated at all costs. For the “Sky People,” an additional complication arose with the discovery of the so-called Mountain Men, a term used by local tribes to refer to the inhabitants of a vast underground bunker beneath Mount Weather. The bunker’s residents, who had strived over decades to preserve civilisation and possessed the necessary technological knowledge, initially appeared amicable and even extended what might be interpreted as hospitality to these strange newcomers. Clarke (Eliza James), one of the “guests,” however, suspected that her hosts did not have the best intentions, and when their secrets were revealed, they proved so diabolical that she would be forced, in her efforts to protect her friends, to seek help from mortal enemies.
That the second season of The 100 is notably better than the first may not be such a surprise. Even within it, after the introduction of the basic—albeit not particularly convincing—initial setup tested the patience of more demanding viewers, the quality of the concluding episodes was noticeably superior to the earlier ones. The second season does not overly burden viewers with explanations of the harsh new world, which, after all, had become significantly smaller following the collapse of the orbital stations (and from the producers’ perspective, relying on Vancouver locations, considerably cheaper). Instead, it focuses far more on the plot, or rather the characters, who are far more complex and intriguing than before. What were once typically unlikable rascals obsessed with romantic and other trivial teenage problems are now, having experienced constant exposure to death, disease, mutilation, and physical and psychological wounds, adults capable of making not only difficult but unimaginably unpleasant decisions. This is perhaps best seen in the character of Clarke, who nominally serves as the series’ protagonist, but whose morally ambiguous yet contextually understandable actions place her in a realm typically reserved for antagonists in other series. On the other hand, it is quite interesting to observe the evolution of Octavia’s character, who began as one of the more irritating rascals but in the second season became a brave, self-sacrificing warrior representing one of the team’s most valuable members.
The second season, of course, had to introduce new characters, and for this purpose came Lexa, a vivid tribal leader portrayed by Alycia Debnam-Carey, a young actress who, like much of the cast, hails from Australia. She simultaneously represents one of the season’s greatest strengths and weaknesses. The strength lies in her excellent portrayal, impeccable costuming, and makeup that deliberately obscures her ethnic background, as well as in her role as a counterpart to Clarke—someone forced to make difficult and unpleasant decisions, constantly dancing on the edge and occasionally leaping over the line that separates good from evil. What presents a somewhat irritating cliché is her portrayal as a powerful warrior capable of asserting authority over thousands of men. Such a scenario, regardless of male fantasies about Amazons and radical feminist fantasies of a pre-civilisational matriarchal utopia, is, however, difficult to achieve in a world where, much like post-civilisation Earth, authority is primarily enforced through physical strength. Then there is, of course, her obligatory same-sex orientation, though in our noble new world of “politically correct” Twitter and other social networks, this likely did no harm to the series’ promotion.
The series’ writers, of course, draw upon a rich repertoire of clichés from the dystopian and post-apocalyptic genres in the second season, but they do so in a remarkably relaxed and often effective manner. This is perhaps best exemplified in the depiction of Mount Weather, whose miniature civilisation serves as a reminder of the vanished pre-apocalyptic world while skilfully referencing similar motifs from Fallout, sparing the writers the need to reinvent the wheel. What works best about Mount Weather is that it employs more post-apocalyptic than dystopian clichés. Rather than portraying the “Mountain Men” as driven mad by decades of isolation and their society as a totalitarian dystopia, they in many ways represent a counterpart to, or at worst an alternative version of, the protagonists from the orbital “Ark.” Their actions, however repulsive and monstrous, have a logical and thoroughly rational basis—that is, they are no more or less morally justified than those undertaken by Clarke.
Precisely because of this, The 100 achieved in its second season what often eludes many far more acclaimed series—an impactful conclusion. In the two-part finale “Blood Must Have Blood,” it becomes clear how the writers employed clichés without being enslaved by them. The 100 may have begun as a variation on the theme of youth-oriented sci-fi dystopia, but its fictional world is depicted with utmost consistency—a place where life is short, hard, and brutal, and where there are no sudden deus ex machina twists to save the protagonists from catastrophic misfortunes. This applies both to key characters brutally eliminated mid-season and to the horrific bloodshed and destruction the protagonists could not (or, to be precise, chose not to) prevent. Clarke’s character stands out most in this regard; as the season nears its end, she does things the innocent, well-meaning teenager from the first season could never have imagined—including a final apocalyptic act that, however rationally justified, is no different from what her enemies did, or what would earn her the label of “monster” in our civilised world. Through Clarke’s character, The 100 has achieved what is the gold standard of modern television—the moral transformation of a protagonist worthy of Walter White in Breaking Bad. The series’ writers will have to work hard to maintain, or at least come close to, what that dark yet exceptionally compelling finale offered viewers in subsequent seasons.
RATING: 7/10 (+++)

Y que la vida los trate amablemente a todos.that life treats them kindly to all
The conversation with my son went something like this: ...you have to see the story of how what you're holding in your hand was created. It's a sign that you'll buy a spicy Frito-Lay product.
And what's so interesting about a movie about a spicy product? It's food, a mixture of ingredients, and nothing else.
No, Mom, it's like those movies you like that feature personal growth and happy endings.
Well, let's say no more, let's watch it, start the video or something.
And I think my son wasn't wrong. It's a film that tells the story of how a person and his family were able to achieve, through effort, curiosity, a little luck, and hard work, mend their ways, create a product, rise through the ranks, and save the positions of a large company. The truth is, he didn't know much, but he was a keen observer, and luck was on his side.
I really like spicy food, and from time to time I buy some products while watching a movie or TV show. So it was a coincidence that my son brought me this one about spicy Cheetos.
It tells the story of Richard Montañez, the Frito Lay janitor who revived Mexican-American spicy food customs and turned hot Cheetos into a popular snack.
I was pleased to learn about the great contribution actress Eva Longoria is making to many films, and in this case, as a director.
Of course, not everything was easy for the protagonist and his family. They had difficult times, where they needed to rely on their family faith.
I like movies with happy endings, or at least those that leave a nice message, and this one definitely has a lot of learning within its lines. A film with a lot of personal and family growth, truly a great example to watch.
So, is it tasty or ugly?

Hi guys, how are you all? Hope you are doing well. Friends, those of us who like to watch movies always keep track of which industry, which movie is being released, although in professional life it is not possible to keep track of so many movies, maybe I like to watch too many movies, that's why I always keep track of which country's movie is being released, especially I like action movies a lot, that's why I keep a lot of news about action movies. I try to entertain myself by watching action movies when I get time, and I share the movies I watch with you. Today is no exception. Today I saw a great action movie made by Hollywood. I thought share some things about this movie.
In the beginning of the movie it is shown that several extraordinary people entered a bank and took the bank hostage and went to the locker room and tried to break the locker, that is, at the beginning it is shown that the bandits are robbing the bank, without opening all the lockers, they fit a small bomb in a locker to break the locker, and that locker is broken and there is a hard disk inside that locker. So many plans to take that hard disk. In the beginning, the director started with great twists. If you see the beginning of an action movie, you might have a different feeling, given that this kind of scenery at the beginning means you will have more curiosity to watch this movie. I like the beginning.
Watching the movie from the beginning to the end will create a different happy moment inside you. Why is saying this because the action scenes in this movie are so fun. Especially for me, the main character of this movie is the hero of this movie. I like his performance very much. As always, he acts very well, and in this movie, he also performed great. When you watch the movie, you will find my words similar.
In that movie, whoever worked as a choreographer or who worked as an action director, everyone presented their work very well. Those who have worked in small roles or in big roles have presented their work very well. I didn't feel less in any place, be it in the location, be it in the set, be it in the action scene, all in all, you can say compact.
Those who have seen this movie will agree with me, and those who haven't seen this movie yet, if you like action movies, then you can watch this movie if you want. Hope you will like this movie. I like the movie.
