Greetings, my dear Otakus from @theanimerealm. Today I want to share a post that is very important to me. It's a post that I will label as #SpecialEdition, as I'm going to talk about my favorite characters from Kimetsu no Yaiba, in anticipation of the release of their upcoming movie. Demon Slayer is more than just a series, and its characters hold a special place in my heart.

I understand that he is a favorite of many, and I consider myself one of the crowd. For me, Rengoku left a mark not only on my heart but also on my soul. This character, despite being imaginary and non-existent, has saved my life more than once.

You see, Kimetsu No Yaiba is one of my favorite series, not only because of its plot full of drama and suspense and its well-developed and evolving story, but also because it has served as an anchor of emotional security for me.

This series has helped me overcome my emotional setbacks when I've been feeling really down, when I don't want to see anyone, talk to anyone, or let anyone know about me. When I've hit rock bottom, the story of Tanjiro and especially that of Rengoku shakes my soul and sets my heart on fire.

Since I saw the second season, Set My Heart Ablaze has become my life motto, and the times when I felt really alone, Rengoku, Tanjiro, and the others, even though it sounds crazy and hard to believe, brought me comfort in my dark days, helped me bear the weight of my heart, and pushed me to keep going.

Seeing Rengoku fight with everything he had, giving his last breath to protect others, was the saddest and most beautiful thing I have ever seen. I always cry when I watch the second season of this series, and I can't help it—it's an incredibly emotional moment, and I connect so deeply with Rengoku and Tanjiro.

For these reasons, Rengoku is and will always be more than just another character in my life. He's not my crush, he's not my favorite character, he's the hero I admire, my reason for continuing here and not giving up. Rengoku is my inspiration, and because of him, I Set My Heart Ablaze.

What can I say about this character? 😂 Tengen is unique and special, but because of his personality, his courage, and his ego. I simply love him for how he is with that perverted side, but more for his big heart. I see him more as a crush, but because he looks very sexy.

He is important to me because he reminds me a lot of Rengoku, in his desire to protect others, to do good, and to fight for an inspiring cause. He inspires respect and admiration in me, but to a lesser extent than Rengoku did.

His fighting spirit is what inspires me the most, especially in the spectacular battle against the Upper Moon. This third season was highly stressful for me because after seeing what happened to Rengoku, I thought everyone was going to die, but fortunately, nothing I imagined happened.

At that time, I hadn't read the manga, so it was all a surprise to me, especially since I was very careful not to spoil anything for myself and avoided social media to prevent that from happening. Unfortunately, I saw Rengoku's death in a Facebook video and then in the series. It was shocking.

Tengen, on the other hand, surprised me a lot when I saw him fighting with only one arm. My reaction was: WHAT?! How can this guy do that? My mouth was wide open as I watched that scene, and since then, it has been my favorite part.

The upper moons, Gyutaro and Daki, are also hard to forget because I completely identified with them in that brotherly relationship. It reminded me a lot of the relationship I had with my brother when we were little, and it just makes me nostalgic, but I understand them, and those upper moons are the best for me so far.

I know this post is getting long, so I'll keep it brief because I can't stop talking about him. He's my third favorite character after Rengoku and Tengen. But from the start, he was very important to me, and his drive, spirit, and desire to fight to the limit left a mark on me.

His relationship with Nezuko is also in a class of its own. Seeing them together makes me feel very nostalgic, and I long to share moments with my older brother again. For me, Tanjiro is one of the most endearing and simple characters ever created in the world of anime, and that makes him special and unforgettable.

He reminds me a lot of Rengoku, with his desire to protect others and fight for what his heart dictates. For me, he greatly surpasses the pillars, perhaps not in strength, but in spirit, as he has amply demonstrated that he is unbreakable.

Hello to all those who know that they are not cartoons, comics, or comic strips, but MANHWAS (and if you didn't know, now you do), many with incredible stories that will keep you up all night until you've finished all the available chapters!

This story combines action, drama, supernatural powers, incredible fights and battles, as well as humor so funny that it comes with panels that will make you laugh out loud (I admit that they did for me) along with characters so endearing, funny, brave, and charismatic that you will love them all and hate others.

This story portrays the life of Jiwoo Seo, a young teenager who has lived his entire life hiding something very special about himself. With no social relationships, friends, or family to be with, Jiwoo only had his cats, whom he loves and cares for as if they were his own family. He lives alone, neglected by his mother, who works in a dangerous world that she doesn't want her son to know about and doesn't want that world to know about him.

One quiet night at home, Jiwoo has no idea that a brutal battle is unfolding near his residence, as well as a hunt for the so-called “awakened ones.” Specifically, the most eccentric, arrogant, mocking, and condescending awakened one who has ever existed and who has been shaking up the world of those who “awaken,” the infamous Kayden Break, who faced several of the top ten awakened beings in the global rankings, “the strongest and most dangerous beings in the world.” They hunt Kayden, and although he is strong and unstoppable, he cannot defeat them all alone. Still, he manages to escape, but he is badly injured. His only means of salvation is a technique, “shape-shifting,” an ability never seen before and not well understood. Kayden, in agony, tries it, without waiting to see where that decision would lead him. He transforms into nothing more and nothing less than a cat, a fat orange cat with an angry face, and finally faints from his injuries, unaware that Jiwoo, a cat lover, would see the wounded “cat” and save him, not knowing that his world would never be the same again.

The awakened awaken powers beyond human comprehension, as well as a new ontology (the existence of oneself as an entity, a new way of understanding existence), and Jiwoo does not seek to be special, although he has always wanted more, but this new world he is now part of forces him to accept his difference, which he had always hidden.

Jiwoo is a great character with clear convictions and firm values. He embodies kindness, courage, and bravery in a world where everything is about strength and betrayal comes from those you least expect. His ability (superhuman speed), despite seeming “simple” compared to other powers, generates amazement in many and resentment and hatred in others. Although it may not seem so, Jiwoo is a genius, and only those who have conquered the summit can see it, and many do not like that he shakes the foundations of an already established world. His training with Kayden and the way his ability grows will cause this duo and those who join them to face many challenges. In this world, there is something called “the technique,” something special and unique to each awakened one, although some are more special than others. The theft of these techniques, especially the Kayden Break, is lurking, and the only one who has been entrusted with it is Jiwoo!

Jiwoo will make great friends (strong, but who will kill you with laughter) who will support him and be with him, outcasts and unfriendly guys who always thought that their path to the top would be a lonely one, and they will make great enemies who want to see him and his master destroyed.

Kayden not only takes on the role of teacher to Jiwoo, a genius student whom he must nurture, but also takes on the role of guide, protector, and family. In Kayden, Jiwoo finds the role model he never had before, and his desire to follow in his master's footsteps will lead him to push the limits even within the world of the awakened. As Jiwoo becomes more immersed in this world, he will have to face difficult decisions and dilemmas that will challenge his beliefs. Should he use his power to protect or to dominate? What are the limits of being human? Jiwoo wants to forge a new path, and although he does not seek to be a symbol, he gradually becomes a role model.

P.S.: Eleceed/Electricidad Veloz is updated weekly on Webtoon and has been translated into multiple languages, including Spanish. An interesting fact is that the name Eleceed/Fast Electricity comes from the combination of Electricity (Kayden) and Fast (Jiwoo).

Está historia combina acción, drama, poderes sobrenaturales, increíbles peleas y combates, así como un humor tan gracioso que viene acompañado de paneles que te matan de risa (admito que conmigo lo hicieron) junto con personajes tan entrañables, graciosos, valientes y carismáticos que te harán amarlos a todos y odiar a otros.

Esta historia nos retrata a la vida de Jiwoo Seo un joven adolescente que ha vivido toda su vida ocultando algo muy especial en él, con nulas relaciones sociales, amigos o familiares con los cuales estar, Jiwoo solo tenía a sus gatos, a quienes ama y cuida como si fueran su propia familia, vive solo, pues desatendido por su madre, trabaja en un mundo peligroso que no quiere que su hijo conozca y que ese mundo no lo conozca a él.

Jiwoo una noche tranquilo en su casa no tiene ni la más mínima idea de que cerca de su residencia se desenvuelve una brutal batalla y a la vez cacería de los llamados “despertados”, es específico el despertado más excéntrico, arrogante, burlón y condescendiente que ha existido y que ha ido sacudiendo el mundo de aquellos que “despiertan” el infame Kayden Break, quien se enfrentaba solo a varios de los diez primeros en el top global de despertados “los seres más fuertes y peligrosos del mundo”, estos dan cacería a Kayden, aunque fuerte e imparable no puede con todos solos, aun así logra escapar, pero muy malherido, su único medio de salvación es una técnica, “cambiar de forma” una habilidad nunca antes vista y de la que no se entiende mucho en realidad, Kayden agonizante lo intenta, sin esperar a lo que esa decisión lo llevaría, se transformó en nada más ni nada menos que en un gato, un gato naranja y gordo con cara de enojo, para al final desmayarse por las heridas, sin saber que Jiwoo amante de los gatos y al ver un “gato” herido lo salvaría, sin saber que su mundo jamás volvería a ser igual.

Los despertados despiertan poderes más allá de la compresión humana, así como una nueva ontología (la existencia de uno mismo como entidad, una nueva forma de comprender el existir) y Jiwoo no busca ser especial, aunque siempre haya deseado más, pero este nuevo mundo del que ahora forma parte lo obliga a aceptar su diferencia, la cual siempre había ocultado.

Jiwoo es un gran personaje con una convicción clara y valores firmes, encarna la bondad, el coraje y la valentía en un mundo donde todo se trata de fuerza y la traición viene de quien menos lo esperas. Su habilidad (velocidad sobrehumana), a pesar de verse “simple” a comparación de otros poderes, genera el asombro de muchos y el resentimiento y odio de otros. Aunque no lo parezca, Jiwoo es un genio y solo quienes han conquistado la cima pueden verlo y a muchos no les agrada que él sacuda los cimientos de un mundo ya establecido. Su entrenamiento con Kayden y la forma en que crece su habilidad, harán que este dúo y quienes se les unan enfrenten muchos desafíos. En este mundo existe algo llamado "la técnica", algo complementa especial y único de cada despertado, aunque algunos son más especiales que otros. ¡¡El robo de estas técnicas, sobre todo la Kayden Break, está el acecho y al único que se la ha confiado es a Jiwoo!!

Jiwoo hará grandes amigos (fuertes, pero que te matarán de risa) que lo apoyarán y estarán con él, chicos marginados y antipáticos que siempre pensaron que su camino a la cima sería en soledad y harán grandes enemigos que quieren verlo destruido a él y a su maestro.

Kayden no solo asume la forma de maestro para Jiwoo un estudiante genio al cual hacer crecer, sino que también toma el rol de guía, protector y familia, en Kayden, Jiwoo encuentra la imagen a seguir que nunca había tenido antes y su deseo por seguir el camino de su maestro lo llevará a rebasar los límites incluso dentro del mundo de los despertados.

A medida que Jiwoo se ve más sumergido en este mundo, tendrá que enfrentar decisiones difíciles y dilemas que pondrán en duda sus creencias. ¿usar el poder para proteger o dominar?, ¿Cuáles son los límites como humano? Jiwoo desea trazar un nuevo camino y, aunque no busca ser un símbolo, poco a poco se convierte en un referente.

There are some movies that can't easily live your brain quickly and sometimes it might just be because of the memories attached to the movie. I remember watching The Eragon many years ago and recently still need to rewatch it again due to how entertaining it was. I personally love watching movies that are filled with so many adventures and watching The Eragon, it didn't disappoint.

I remember watching that movie back then and I begin to compare it to some of the movies I watched back then also. Examples like Harry Potter, Lord of the rings and many more. But trust me, the movie didn't really disappoint. The movie center around a young village boy that was called Eragon. That young boy happen to playe the center role of the movie and I will say the role was perfectly acted.

In the movie, the young boy who is called Eragon like I said found a blue stone that turns to a dragon egg. Fortunately, the egg eventually hatched and the dragon became his closed friends. In fact, the dragon eventually helped the boy to become a warrior who will later fight against evil in the kingdom.

He soon grew to become a mighty warrior in that movie thanks to his mentor. Eragon learned how to fight and use his magic in that movie to protect his kingdom thanks to his mentor Brom. There was actually something I was able to pick from it and that is the power of mentors. After watching that movie, I discovered that Eragon will not have become a mighty warrior if he has not encountered Brom who was his mentor.

If there is actually something that really attract me so much to the movie, I will say it is the way The Dragon played it's part. In fact, without the dragon in that movie, the movie might not really be that interesting to watch. I love dragons and I love the scene when the dragon and Eragon are together.

There are some of the things I really love about the movie that really stood out. I love the visuals most especially those mountain views. They really stood out. Not only that, I love the casting they used. But for me, I believe the movie should have been much more than the roughly 2 hours they used. It was looking as if they rushed the storytelling.

When it comes to the acting performance, I will say all the cast did well. The main cast which is Eragon did a great job, Brom which happens to be his mentor also did well and even the villian did well. Just that there are some little scenes that lacks that emotional connection with the viewers and does not necessarily needs to be dragged. Sometimes there are some scenes that I perceived as if they are dragging it to make the movie longer unnecessarily in the movie duration.

For me, it is a good movie because it gives me the memories that even till now, I have not forgotten. The movie started well but it looks like when the movie was about to end, it start to lose its momentum. I also wished there were more scene where the magic was displayed much more than when there is a fight. Also I believe the storytelling should not have been rushed. In fact, with the storyline, I believe the movie should be acted in seasons so that it will give the viewers that perfect opportunity to actually enjoy the movie to the fullest. Apart from that, the movie was really watch movie and I will recommend it to anyone anyday.

In fact currently now, I am still looking for the movie in order to rewatch it again but I am finding it hard to locate the link that will give me the full download for the movie. Hello, cinema fans. Let's talk about another dystopian science fiction action movie aimed at young adults and adults. Although it enjoyed moderate success at the box office, it did not receive the same praise as other films of its kind, such as Maze Runner or The Hunger Games. Based on the novel of the same name by Veronica Roth, this film adaptation was directed by Neil Burger. It stars Shailene Woodley, Theo James, Ashley Judd, Jai Courtney, Ray Stevenson, among others. Meet one of those post-apocalyptic movies that least caught my attention since I started using my reasoning skills.

Plot

The film begins with a monologue that tells us about a future where the world has been plunged into chaos by wars. Humanity made the decision to divide itself into several factions in order to establish rules and specific tasks. This brought apparent peace for a hundred years. In what appears to be a post-apocalyptic and confined Chicago, we see how society is clearly divided into five factions. These are: Abnegation, Cordiality, Sincerity, Daring, and Erudition. Then we meet Beatrice Prior, who is from Abnegation and, despite coming from an exemplary family, feels torn about what she wants to be in the future. At age 16, all young people must take a test that will help them decide which faction to choose for the rest of their lives. However, our protagonist does not do well on this test.

I don't really remember how I found out about this movie, to be honest. At the time, I wasn't as much of a film buff as I am now. Over time, I learned about the popularity of this film and its subsequent trilogy of films that were released in theaters. Or rather, more than popularity, it was one of those failures at the box office, with critics, and with audiences that make it clear that not every film adaptation of a successful novel is equally successful. Leaving aside the fact that the boom in superhero movies and other science fiction subgenres reached its peak in that decade, dystopian movies for young adults proved to be a failure with this and other subsequent failed attempts. But anyway, you came here to read an honest opinion about this film, and that's what I'll give you.

Starting with the plot, it is both interesting and ironic how it begins with an apparent vision of a utopian society in a clearly dystopian and post-apocalyptic world. The most striking aspect of this is the way people are classified into factions and the treatment they receive. This, of course, is an indirect message to today's society and how the upper class treats the lower class and vice versa. The main theme is not only that, but as we learn a little about Beatrice Piror and the result she gets on the test that everyone takes at age 16, we notice that there are certain disturbing secrets and mysteries at the heart of this supposedly peaceful society. After the protagonist chooses to switch to Dauntless, we see more of what the different factions are like from the inside, especially this faction that has attracted Beatrice since she was a child.

Don't get me wrong when I say that the theme of a seemingly utopian society that ends up being a completely oppressive, classist, and extremist dystopia is something that has been seen many times in similar works. That's not to say I don't like it, because the way the story unfolds, showing us the fate of certain factions and revealing the main enemy, is interesting, to say the least. The plot twists are a bit predictable, but then again, there's not much to expect from a film like this, to be honest. As someone who has not seen any of the films in the famous Hunger Games saga, I cannot make any comparisons with that franchise (nor would I do so if I had). But what I do know is that the way they mix action with everything we see in this story reminds me of any dystopian action film where the protagonist adapts and trains to become the hero and savior of the world.

I've probably spoiled the whole movie with that last statement, as with most action films of this style. The thing is, aside from the potentially interesting plot and the story of a futuristic, dystopian, class-based world, the characters and their development are not the best thing about this film. I'm not saying that the cast did a bad job, quite the contrary. It's just that the way they are presented and developed throughout the film is somewhat predictable and superficial (like the plot). Again, I'm not saying it's bad, as it's normal for an action-drama film like this to have its shortcomings in terms of original character development. The very concept of an "original character" is highly subjective, as is everything else. But for someone like me who has already seen and talked about dozens of dystopian and post-apocalyptic science fiction films, this is not entirely to my liking.

Both the protagonist and some of the secondary characters do well to display personalities and characteristics that set them apart from the majority. Especially in a story aimed at a classist and oppressive society full of absurd rules, it is normal for the protagonist to be a rebellious, impulsive, and courageous character who breaks all the rules and goes against them. However, she also has her predictable traits that make her just another character in an action movie. I'm not saying that adding romance to this work is a bad thing, as it seems that they even take their time to develop a relationship between Beatrice and Four. But, I repeat, it's not something that breaks with the predictable clichés in this type of work. As for the action in general, it has its good moments of tension, its good action sequences, fights, and chases. But there's nothing that makes you say "WOW!" It's just decent for what you'd expect from this movie.

Last but not least, let's talk about the technical and visual aspects of this feature film, which, by the way, lasts more than two hours. While it's not a Hollywood blockbuster, it manages to be a decent and very well-produced film that takes advantage of the dystopian and post-apocalyptic atmosphere of this story to give us unique, though not entirely attractive, settings. The style of photography, the shots, the moving shots, the visual effects, and the mixed color palette are the most noteworthy aspects. There is also the style of clothing of the factions and the places or environments in which they are found and how they differ from each other. The sound effects are fine, but they are not the best in the world either. As for the soundtrack, it is of good quality and provides a well-set backdrop with exciting background music. In short, this is a dystopian, action-packed film that I would only recommend watching if you are a big fan of this type of film for young people.

Personally, I give it a rating of 7/10 in terms of the science fiction and action genre.

Tougen Anki: Dark Demon of Paradise. I don't know if you've heard of it yet, but it's starting to gain some buzz, especially among those who enjoy a darker vibe in action anime. I decided to watch it on a whim, with zero expectations, just because I saw some cool art floating around on X. And honestly, the visual style grabs your attention right away. But since style isn’t everything, I decided to write down my honest thoughts what I liked, what bothered me, and why I think Tougen Anki has potential... if it doesn't lose its way.

The anime follows Shiki Ichinose, a hot-headed boy full of bottled-up anger who keeps getting into fights. Right in the first episodes, he finds out he’s a descendant of a race called Oni, who have supernatural blood-based powers.

These Oni are at war with the Momotarou, a kind of "hunter" whose mission is to exterminate the Oni.

The idea is clearly inspired by Japanese mythology, like the legend of Momotarō, the Peach Boy, but here everything is more modern, violent, and stylized. It really gives off a Tokyo Ghoul or Jujutsu Kaisen vibe. If you're into that dark aesthetic with blood flying and powers born out of pain, you're in for a treat. The original manga is by Yura Urushibara and has been published in Weekly Shōnen Champion since 2020. The animation was handled by Bug Films, the same studio behind Zom 100. Visually, they did a great job the linework is solid, the color palette fits the tone of the story, and the fight scenes have flair.

The fights are really good.

They’ve got impact, speed, and a kind of brutality that doesn’t feel gratuitous it matches the tone of the series. The blood-based abilities look awesome. Honestly, that was a standout feature for me it reminded me of Deadman Wonderland, but with a more controlled execution.

Shiki, even though he's your typical impulsive protagonist, actually surprised me at times. He has trauma, internal conflicts, and little by little, he shows he’s more than just raw anger. He felt like a mix of Kaneki (from Tokyo Ghoul) with a touch of Yuuji Itadori but with a lot more pent-up rage.

I also liked the world they’re building.

The whole thing about bloodlines, clans, and the Oni vs. Momotarou hunt has a lot of potential.

You can tell the universe has depth and room to grow, which is always a plus.

Unfortunately, Tougen Anki suffers from that classic issue of a rushed start. Seriously, it feels like they dumped the entire plot on us in just three episodes. New characters showing up, flashbacks, secret organizations, training arcs, drama all crammed together. It makes it hard to form a real emotional connection with what’s going on. Another thing that bugged me was the lack of time for side characters to shine. Naito Mudano, for example, seemed like he’d have a major role, but then he just disappeared. A lot of people show up and vanish without leaving any impression, which is a shame.

There are also a few scenes trying too hard to be emotional like “oh no, this death was so sad” but they don’t really land because we didn’t have time to care about the character.

Tougen Anki has a lot of potential, especially if you enjoy bloodier stories, clan rivalries, unique powers, and a dark aesthetic. But it’s worth approaching with patience, knowing it’s still finding its footing. If the upcoming episodes slow things down a bit and let the characters breathe, I think it could grow into a strong name in the genre. I don’t know if it’ll stand toe-to-toe with Demon Slayer or Chainsaw Man, but it’s a solid bet for anyone who enjoys adrenaline and a little chaos.

Desde niña veo series como "Expedientes X", "911", "SCI" y luego llegó a mi vida "Criminal Minds", la cuál ha sido mi favorita por mucho, ahora que en estos días descubrí a "High Potential" y wow, es una mezcla de lo que me gusta: series donde se resuelven casos criminales y maternidad ¡una locura!

Kaitlin Olson, interpreta a Morgan, una mujer con un coeficiente alto, que además es madre soltera y trabaja en el área de limpieza en un departamento de policía, lugar en el cuál mientras limpiaba y bailaba, observó un caso y notó algunos errores, pero su TOC (Trastorno obsesivo compulsivo) no le permitió dejarlo así, si no que hizo correcciones, lo cuál sin ella buscarlo o saberlo, cambiaría por completo su futuro.

Esa introducción fue la que me atrapó en esta serie, y he estado viendo series porque realmente necesito tener mi mente ocupada, sí más ocupada.

Lo que me gustó de esta serie y su primera temporada la cual terminé en 3 días. Es que cada capítulo es un caso y no te dejan con la intriga o ansiedad, que es la parte que no me gusta de las series. Así que realmente disfruté mucho de eso. Las exigencias de la maternidad, la falta de una estabilidad económica y un gran talento se unirán para que Morgan acepte colaborar o ser asesora de la policía, específicamente en el área de "Delitos graves". Y es que dejando a un lado el alto coeficiente que tiene Morgan, creo que algunas personas tenemos un sexto sentido para ver más allá, no solo de las cosas, si no también de las personas y sí, otros algunas veces obviemos automáticamente detalles importantes.

Esta primera temporada me encantó, el trama, la vida compleja de Morgan, el misterio y en especial su humor, su chispa, menos su ropa aun cuando a ella le queda bien jajaja y claro, su inteligencia y ganas de superarse. Son cosas que inspiran, y además el hecho de contar con otra mujer que la apoya y cree en sus capacidades, aun cuando algunos hombres al ver la mente brillante de una mujer, puedan sentirse intimidados.

Si te gusta las series criminales o policiales, esta está genial.
