Hoy quiero hablarles de un anime que vi por mera curiosidad, simplemente porque me pareció interesante y llamativo. El anime en cuestión se llama Dorohedoro, y la verdad es que es bastante extraño, tanto en historia como en estilo. Nunca había escuchado hablar de él antes, pero terminé viéndolo... y sorprendiéndome mucho.
Dorohedoro nos presenta una trama caótica, llena de misterio y humor negro. La historia gira en torno a nuestro protagonista, un hombre con cabeza de lagarto que no recuerda quién es ni cómo llegó a estar maldito. Desde ahí comienza su búsqueda para descubrir quién le hizo esto. Junto a él está Nikaido, una chica fuerte y carismática, que también oculta un secreto importante que el protagonista (a quien muchos conocen como Caiman) desconoce.
Aunque no es una historia tan profunda o emocional como otros animes que suelo ver, tengo que decir que fue muy entretenida. Lo curioso de Dorohedoro es que combina escenarios oscuros, violentos y sangrientos con momentos muy absurdos y graciosos. Ese contraste le da un estilo único que logra enganchar.
El anime está lleno de hechiceros, maldiciones y demonios, por lo que al principio pensé que sería el típico shōnen lleno de batallas. Pero en realidad, es más bien una mezcla de humor bizarro, acción y locura total. Y no puedo dejar de mencionar al que para mí fue el personaje más divertido: En, el hechicero más poderoso del anime. Cada vez que aparecía, me sacaba una buena risa con su actitud tan excéntrica.
Confieso que al principio me costó engancharme porque no entendía bien hacia dónde iba la historia. Pero a medida que avanzaban los capítulos, todo empezaba a tener más sentido y terminé viéndolo completo.
En mi opinión, le doy un 7/10. Es una serie bastante entretenida, diferente y con personajes memorables. Aunque siento que podría haberse desarrollado mejor en algunos puntos, sigue siendo una buena experiencia si buscas algo fuera de lo común.

Today I want to talk about an anime I watched purely out of curiosity. It caught my attention because of how strange and unique it looked, so I gave it a chance—and I was in for a wild ride. The anime is called Dorohedoro, and to be honest, it’s one of the strangest series I’ve ever seen. I had never even heard of it before, and the plot is just as crazy as its world.
The story revolves around a big mystery: finding out who cursed our main character, who now has a lizard head for some unknown reason. As the story unfolds, he gets closer and closer to the truth. By his side is Nikaido, a strong and charming woman who hides a secret that Caiman (the nickname of our lizard-headed protagonist) doesn't know about.
This isn’t a deep or emotional story like other anime I usually watch, but I still found it very entertaining. One of the most unique things about Dorohedoro is how it blends dark, violent, and grotesque scenes with absurd humor. That contrast gives the series a strange but enjoyable tone.
The anime is full of sorcerers, curses, and demons, so at first, I thought it would be your typical shōnen full of action battles. But instead, it turned out to be a bizarre mix of humor, chaos, and madness. And I have to mention my favorite character: En, the most powerful sorcerer in the anime. His eccentric personality had me laughing every time he showed up.
I’ll admit that in the beginning, I found it a bit boring and confusing—I couldn’t understand what was going on. But as the episodes went on, everything started to make more sense, and I ended up finishing the whole show.
For me, this anime is a 7/10. It’s fun, wild, and different from what I usually watch. While I think it could’ve been better developed in some areas, it’s definitely worth watching if you’re in the mood for something weird and out of the box.

Ce film est disponible sur Netflix. Il dure 2h12 et est à classer dans la catégorie science-fiction. Au niveau de l'histoire, il est entre "Kong : Skull Island" (2017) et "Godzilla vs Kong" (2021).
Emma Russell (Vera Farmiga), paléobiologiste, a perdu son fils Andrew en 2014, à cause de Godzilla. Depuis lors, elle a mis au point l'Orca, un appareil capable de "communiquer" avec les titans, en captant et rediffusant les bons signaux émis par ces immenses bestioles, au bon moment. Sa fille Madison (Millie Bobby Brown), dite Maddie, l'accompagne lors de cette mission-ci. Mark Russell (Kyle Chandler), père de Maddie et ex-mari d'Emma est devenu photographe d'animaux sauvages, tels que les loups. C'est Mark qui, au départ, avait imaginé l'Orca, mais Emma l'a concrétisé. Maddie a été confiée à sa mère, puisque Mark est toujours en déplacement. Plusieurs titans existent désormais et sont éparpillées à travers le monde. Certaines sont comme "en sommeil", mais seront réveillées avec l'utilisation de l'Orca notamment. Quand ces espèces se rencontrent, soit elles combattent pour voir qui sera le plus fort - parfois jusqu'à la mort - soit elles sont attirées l'une vers l'autre et cherchent à se reproduire, mais elles forment d'abord une alliance pour combattre les ennemis. Et les humains là-dedans ? Ils veulent intervenir, en restant vivants de préférence, pour pouvoir examiner ces titans de plus près, en expérimentant de nouveaux appareils, comme l'Orca, ou de nouvelles techniques ou des injections de nouveaux produits.
Mon avis et petites infos :
Ce n'est pas mon genre de films. J'avais vu Godzilla et l'un ou l'autre King Kong, mais ce n'est pas ma tasse de thé. Avec la chaleur qui fait, ce jours-ci, on ne voulait pas se casser la tête et on aime encore bien voir Millie Bobby Brown dans ses différents rôles. Nous l'avions découverte dans Stranger Things et on l'a retrouvé dans Enola Holmes, entre autres. Ici, elle a 15 ans à la sortie du film, mais elle en paraît moins.
Parmi les autres acteurs, je pourrais vous citer Ken Watanabe, Sally Hawkins, Bradley Whitford, Charles Dance et David Strathairn, pour les plus connus.

Si duda Nicolas Cage es un excelente actor que muy pocas veces me ha decepcionado. Cuando vi la cartelera en MagieTv de inmediato seleccioné para verla. Esta película está basada en hechos reales de la Segunda Guerra Mundial. Su contenido es valioso y como muchos temas para analizar por ejemplo: Valor.
¿Qué significa la palabra Valor? Sí, cada quien puede dar su propia opinión. Sin embargo, desde la perspectiva del protagonista y el tema de la película vale la pena definir este concepto a través de las siguientes preguntas ¿Es sacrificio, amor o valentía?

Warm greetings to the cinephile community. I share with you one of the latest films that truly managed to grab me. Man of Valor, starring Nicolas Cage and directed by Mario Van Peebles.
Without a doubt Nicolas Cage is an excellent actor who has rarely disappointed me. When I saw the billboard on MagieTv I immediately selected to see it. This film is based on real events of the Second World War. Its content is valuable and as many topics to analyze for example: Courage.
What does the word Courage mean? Yes, everyone can give their own opinion. However, from the perspective of the protagonist and the theme of the film it is worth defining this concept through the following questions Is it sacrifice, love or courage?

Al inicio, Hombre de valor me pareció algo descontextualizada y confusa. Desde mi punto de vista no tenía un enfoque claro. Les comento que no supe que era una historia de la vida real sino hasta el final de la cinta, justo al momento de dar los créditos. Quizá, si hubiese estado al tanto de la información no hubiese hecho esta primera crítica.
Decidí esperar que corrieran las escenas tranquilamente, estamos hablando de Nicolas Cage y seguramente habrían giros interesantes. Justo eso sucedió, la acción comienza cuando el protagonista recibe orden para una misión secreta en el mar. Todo marchaba bien hasta el momento cuando son interceptados por un submarino japonés que destruye la embarcación y todos los tripulantes son arrojados al mar.
El capitán Nicolas Cage dirige a su tripulación y toma decisiones con base a su experiencia y valor. No le resultó fácil tomar decisiones pero en todo momento su prioridad fueron los marinos a su cargo. Lamentablemente, no queriendo ser el primero en zarpar al mar, una explosión lo saca de la borda quedando a la deriva y aislado de los otros por horas.

At first, I found Man of Valor to be somewhat out of context and confusing. From my point of view, it did not have a clear focus. I should tell you that I didn't know it was a real life story until the end of the film, right at the credits. Perhaps, if I had been aware of the information I would not have made this first review.
I decided to wait for the scenes to run smoothly, we are talking about Nicolas Cage and there were bound to be some interesting twists. That's exactly what happened, the action starts when the protagonist receives an order for a secret mission at sea. Everything was going well so far when they are intercepted by a Japanese submarine that destroys the ship and all the crew members are thrown into the sea.
Captain Nicolas Cage leads his crew and makes decisions based on his experience and courage. He did not find it easy to make decisions but at all times his priority was the sailors in his charge. Unfortunately, not wanting to be the first to set sail, an explosion knocks him overboard, leaving him adrift and isolated from the others for hours.
Terrible la situación que les toca vivir a los tripulantes, sin botes, sin municiones, a la intemperie día y noche, con sentimientos encontrados y lo peor... tiburones hambrientos. A muchos de ellos les toca vivir la tragedia de sus compañeros, verlos morir no resulta fácil muchos menos si eran devorado por tiburones. Es una película desesperante sin duda alguna.
Quiero destacar el personaje del capitán McVay (Nicolas Cage). Este personaje es el encargado de la misión secreta, llevar la bomba atómica que sería lanzada sobre Hiroshima en la vida real. Ante el poderoso ataque japonés es conmovedor ver al capitán dando todo por su tripulación. Aún en los momentos más desesperante el hombre mantiene su valor y dirige con firmeza las acciones de sus hombres. McVay aporta una mezcla de autoridad pero a la vez humildad y por supuesto vulnerabilidad.
It is a terrible situation for the crew members, without boats, without ammunition, outdoors day and night, with mixed feelings and the worst thing... hungry sharks. Many of them have to live the tragedy of their companions, to see them die is not easy, much less if they were devoured by sharks. It is a desperate film without a doubt.
I want to highlight the character of Captain McVay (Nicolas Cage). This character is in charge of the secret mission, carrying the atomic bomb that would be dropped on Hiroshima in real life. In the face of the powerful Japanese attack, it is touching to see the captain giving his all for his crew. Even in the most desperate moments the man maintains his courage and steadfastly directs the actions of his men. McVay brings a mixture of authority but at the same time humility and of course vulnerability.

Era una tripulación de más de mil hombres pero solo sobrevivieron trescientos diecisiete incluido el capitán.
No podían quedar por fuera los giros finales en esta película. El capitán McVay había hecho una maniobra que pudo haber evitado la tragedia. Esta decisión lo llevó injustamente a un juicio donde fue condenado. Obviamente, la decisión lo hizo quedar como un infiltrado de los japoneses. Interesante esta parte del film.
Me marcó mucho otro gran giro final en esta película. Creo que allí se marca el mensaje y se muestra el significado de Hombre de Valor. Dos personajes, cara a cara, capitán MvVay y Hashimoto (capitán japones) ambos conmovidos, con lágrimas rodando por sus mejillas, señalando cuál era el deber de cada uno... un cierre emocional único y magistral.

The final twists in this movie could not be left out. Captain McVay had made a maneuver that could have prevented the tragedy. This decision unfairly led him to a trial where he was convicted. Obviously, the decision made him look like an infiltrator of the Japanese. Interesting this part of the film.
Another great twist at the end of this film really stood out to me. I think that's where the message is hammered home and the meaning of Man of Valor is shown. Two characters, face to face, Captain MvVay and Hashimoto (Japanese captain) both moved, with tears rolling down their cheeks, pointing out what each one's duty was... a unique and masterful emotional close.

What would you do for the people you love—if loving them meant stepping into darkness? This was what was on my mind when I finished watching this movie.
There are people who wield so much power that they'll do anything to keep it.
Watching MobLand, my emotions were like weather—sunny then storming. I found myself cheering for Harry’s silent strength. I felt dread when Conrad planned another ruthless act. I felt sad for Jan (Joanne Froggatt), Harry’s wife, caught between loyalty and love, forced to ask for counseling in a world that thrives on violence.
The film is one tense scene to another, a tense negotiation, a single shot, a room that blows up in violence--that had me hung up on it immediately. I had to find out: Who is the man behind the gun?... What is this story?
MobLand is all about the Harrigan crime family, an Irish dynasty ruling the underground of London. Conrad Harrigan (Pierce Brosnan), the patriarch, and Maeve (Helen Mirren), the matriarch, hope to grow, but everything goes wrong due to a reckless night with their grandson, Eddie.
Enter Harry Da Souza (Tom Hardy) , the cleaner-up of messes in the family. His life is structured anarchy: defend the Harrigans, fix things, hush up trouble. He has a code, "If I said I would do something… it is done"
Yet as family rivalries come to a boil and family loyalty breaks, Harry is driven into moral grayness.
It is not shoot-outs only. It is boardroom gossip, family counseling, backstabbing in the locked bathrooms.
The emotional climax was the season finale- betrayals were uncovered, alliances were severed. My heart was beating, my chest was tight. It was at this moment that I realized that this show was not all about style, it was about soul.
It caused me to ask myself this question: What would you do (to) the people that you love--if loving them meant entering into darkness?
MobLand is your show if you are in the mood to watch an action show with emotional levels that are more than just skin deep, where family loyalty, moral ambiguity, and killer visuals meet.
Watch it because the characters grew-in-my-skin, especially Harry, played with brooding panache by Tom Hardy.

Some time last year, or is it last two years, I watched the season 1 of this series. I watched it then because a friend of mine just watched the second season at the time and hyped it so much. I watched the season 1 and with how satisfied it left me, I knew I was going to watch the second season, sooner or later.
Now, it's been over a year but I didn't renege on my promise. I watched uncanny counter season 2, and although the first season was a masterpiece, this succeeded in leaving me with mixed feelings.
Uncanny counter follows five counters who have dedicated themselves to the task of catching evil spirits. With the emergence of a new evil spirit, their powers are tested but united, they've always succeeded.
Here in Season 2, our counters are now stronger. So Mun, has mastered using his powers to his fullest and so, everything seems to be going well for them. But suddenly, their somewhat peaceful life is distorted by the news of the Chinese counters death. Not only do they now have to face three level three evil spirits who are working together, these evil spirits seem to have inherited the dead counters powers, making them stronger than any evil spirits they ever encountered before. Will the counters succeed in capturing these evil spirits or will they give up and leave the fate of good people to these spirits?
I've always been a huge fan of uncanny counter because of it's plot. A storyline like this isn't something's that's been rewritten over the years and this was something that made me love the first season so much. I'm a lover of fresh storylines, and I know many people do as well. This series had it to offer in spades and I loved it. When I watched the first season and looked forward to the second, I tried to envisage possible things that could happen. Well, safe to say, I was blown away by the premise of this second season.
If there's one thing that has the biggest influence on my rating, it is the fact that rage was portrayed as one of the worst feelings to be harboured. Spoiler Alert: Aside the three evil spirits, the counters also had to deal with a person who allowed rage consume him so much. That was one of the crucial parts of the movie and through it, the effect of holding onto a feeling as deep as rage, was one of the messages that was passed here. I liked that actually. A fine continuation from the masterpiece that was the first season.
This series would definitely not have been as good as it is, if not for the actors. Like these actors did in the first season, they all devoured their roles. From the counters to the evil spirits, they all did a good job with bringing this creative masterpiece to fruition. I particularly loved the transitioning of the counters. The little tweaks in appearance gave the illusion that much time had passed between both seasons. Made me fall more than I already did, for some characters.
This series left me looking forward to it's end and at the same time not wanting it to end. Every episode kept up the same pace, I definitely wouldn't have regretted binge watching it, had it had longer episodes. I'd rate this season a 9.5/10, seeing as it was worth every hype and more. If you are familiar with this series but haven't watched it, do check out this one. It's worth all the hype it's received. Definitely one of my best action/fantasy dramas existing.

Today it’s time to talk about a series that is considered by many to be one of the best of all time. I’m going to talk about: Better Call Saul. I finally finished it and… it’s spectacular. Trust me on this one because it really blew my mind in ways you can’t even imagine. Many of you know how obsessed I was – well, I AM – with Breaking Bad. I mean, for me it was the PINNACLE of television, that level of love. So when Better Call Saul came out, I was like… hesitating, with many, many reservations, to be honest… I had a TERRIBLE fear of being disappointed. It’s a spin-off, right? About that crappy lawyer?
How interesting could his story be? I imagined hours and hours of trials or something like that, how lazy, besides, spin-offs sometimes turn out really bad, many times they just want to cash in on the fame of the original, I was REALLY worried that, in some way, it was going to stain my love for the Breaking Bad universe... so I let it go... but in the end, there was already TOO MUCH talk about it and the fear of missing out was stronger, everyone said how good it was, and finally I got into it. The. Best. Decision. Of my life.

Así que cuando salió Better Call Saul, yo estaba como... dudando, con muchísimas, muchísimas reservas, la verdad.. tenía un miedo TERRIBLE a decepcionarme.. es un spin-off, ¿no? ¿Del abogado ese medio chafa? ¿Qué tanto interés podía tener su historia?
Me imaginaba horas y horas de juicios o algo así, qué flojera, además, los spin-offs a veces salen bien malos, muchas veces solo quieren sacarle jugo a la fama del original, me preocupaba DE VERDAD que, de alguna forma, fuera a manchar mi amor por el universo de Breaking Bad.. así que la fui dejando pasar.. pero al final, ya se hablaba DEMASIADO de ella y el miedo a perdérmela fue más fuerte, todo el mundo decía lo buena que era, y finalmente le entré. La. Mejor. Decisión. De mi vida.
Okay, first and foremost, and this is KEY: yes, it's a prequel and a spin-off of Breaking Bad, but Better Call Saul holds its own, it's a real GEM, they could have filled the series with Walter White cameos to attract people, but they didn't... the references and familiar faces are there, scattered like little gifts for BB fans (and believe me, when they come out, phew!, it's pure perfection), but they are few and far between and they are super well done, they don't feel forced, they feel earned. The show builds its own world, its own stakes, its own fascinating story centered on Jimmy McGill, the guy who becomes Saul Goodman... I assure you, you don't need to have seen Breaking Bad to get hooked on this, of course, knowing BB gives it that extra layer, that emotion and rich context, especially with characters like Mike Ehrmantraut, but the main story, Jimmy's journey, is so strong, so human, that it works perfectly on its own... in fact, I know someone who watched BCS first and then jumped into BB, and he loved it!
And that journey... phew, Jimmy McGill, Bob Odenkirk deserves ALL the awards for this performance... we know him not as the talkative, immoral Saul Goodman, but as Jimmy: a hustler, trying (almost always) to do things right, desperate for his brother Chuck to accept him, he has that incredible charisma, even when he’s a total mess, he’s like that friend you have who always makes terrible decisions but is so cool that you can’t help but root for him, even if you’re tearing your hair out. You see that constant internal struggle: his desire to be good versus that natural talent he has for shortcuts, it’s fascinating and, honestly, sometimes it breaks your heart to see it, especially because, if you saw BB, you already know where it ends.
But the series makes you hope, against all logic, that maybe this time he won’t make that bad decision, even though you know he HAS to... then there’s Kim Wexler... played brilliantly! by Rhea Seehorn, she’s Jimmy’s friend, colleague, and so much more. She’s smart, ambitious, super capable, and has her own very complicated moral compass. What’s so cool and adds such incredible tension is that Kim isn’t in Breaking Bad! So, throughout the ENTIRE series, you’re constantly asking, “What’s wrong with Kim?!” Her relationship with Jimmy is the absolute heart of the show for me, it’s so nuanced, it changes, they affect each other in profound ways, for better and for worse, she’s not just a supporting character; you could easily say she’s the co-lead, and her story is just as compelling, if not more so at times, than Jimmy’s. Seriously, the way they develop her character is phenomenal—she’s so layered, just like real people.

Ves esa pelea interna constante: sus ganas de ser bueno contra ese talento natural que tiene para los atajos, es fascinante y, la verdad, a veces te rompe el corazón verlo, sobre todo porque, si viste BB, ya sabes dónde termina.
Pero la serie te hace tener esperanza, contra toda lógica, de que tal vez esta vez no tome esa mala decisión, aunque sepas que TIENE que hacerlo.. luego está Kim Wexler.. interpretada de forma ¡brillante! por Rhea Seehorn, es la amiga de Jimmy, su colega y mucho más.. es inteligente, ambiciosa, súper capaz y tiene su propia brújula moral bien complicada. Lo que es tan genial y le mete esa tensión increíble es que Kim ¡no está en Breaking Bad! Así que, durante TODA la serie, estás constantemente preguntándote: "¿¡Qué le pasa a Kim!?". He is still the professional of professionals, careful, super patient... those scenes where he is just doing his job, whether it is watching someone or solving a huge problem, they capture you in a very strange way... but seeing the man behind that raspy voice makes everything that happens with him in BB have even more weight. Okay, I have to get a little intense now with the production quality because I loved it, visually, this series is incredible, the photography is not just pretty, it is intelligent... each shot feels thought out.
They use angles, framing, color, light to tell the story, and many times they say more without speaking than with pages and pages of dialogue. Remember that scene they were mentioning back in the first episode with Jimmy and Kim having a cigarette in the parking lot? It’s a perfect example: the way they’re framed, the lighting, the little things they do… it tells you A TON about their relationship and the world they live in without them having to spell it out for you… they pay incredible attention to detail! From the suits that are a bit too big for Jimmy at the beginning (showing he’s not quite there yet) to how they put together each scene, it’s a masterclass in storytelling with pure images… Now, something you need to know before we start: the pacing is different from Breaking Ba . BB had that explosive, high-stakes energy from the start: meth empires, cartels, constant danger, BCS is slower, it’s simmering.
It takes its time... it focuses more on the characters, their internal problems, the legal and personal dramas that are super complex, some may find it a little slow at first, especially the first season, if you are expecting the adrenaline of BB... but trust me, keep watching, that calmer pace is what allows the series to build such incredible depth and tension! It's not so much about what happens next, but why it happens, and how the characters change... or get worse... the rewards are huge precisely because the series takes the time to lay the groundwork well, it's less about explosions and more about how a soul is worn down, that complicated dance with morality. It makes you wonder: 'What would I do in his place?'

Okay, tengo que ponerme un poquito intenso ahora con la calidad de producción porque la ame, visualmente, esta serie es increíble, la fotografía no es nomás bonita, es inteligente.. cada toma se siente pensada. Usan los ángulos, los encuadres, el color, la luz para contar la historia, y muchas veces dicen más sin hablar que con páginas y páginas de diálogo. ¿Se acuerdan de esa escena que mencionaban por ahí... del primer capítulo con Jimmy y Kim echándose un cigarrito en el estacionamiento?
Es un ejemplo perfecto: cómo están encuadrados, la iluminación, las cositas que hacen... te dice un MONTÓN sobre su relación y el mundo donde viven sin que te lo tengan que explicar con palabras.. le ponen una atención al detalle ¡increíble!, desde los trajes que le quedan medio grandes a Jimmy al principio (mostrando que todavía no la arma en grande) hasta cómo arman cada escena, es una clase maestra de cómo cortar historias con puras imágenes.. ahora, algo que necesitan saber antes de empezar: el ritmo es diferente al de Breaking Bad. BB tenía esa energía explosiva, de riesgo altísimo desde el inicio: imperios de meta, cárteles, peligro constante, BCS va más lento, se cocina a fuego lento.
Se toma su tiempo.. se enfoca más en los personajes, en sus problemas internos, en los dramas legales y personales que son súper complejos, a algunos tal vez les parezca un poco lento al principio, sobre todo la primera temporada, si esperan la adrenalina de BB.. pero créanme, sigan viéndola, ese ritmo más calmado es lo que deja que la serie construya una profundidad y una tensión ¡tan increíbles! No se trata tanto de qué pasa después, sino de por qué pasa, y cómo los personajes van cambiando... o empeorando.. las recompensas son enormes justo porque la serie se toma el tiempo de poner bien las bases, es menos de explosiones y más de cómo se va desgastando un alma, de ese baile complicado con la moralidad. And as I was saying, my people, for those of us who are Breaking Bad fans, watching Better Call Saul really enriches the original series A LOT... seeing Saul's past, understanding his antics, seeing Mike before he was Gus Fring's right-hand man... wow! It adds layers that you didn't even know were missing, you watch BB again and, suddenly, certain phrases or things that Saul or Mike do hit you completely differently! It's like having a totally new perspective on a story that you thought you knew inside out... the truth is, I started out hoping for a decent spin-off, maybe something to kill time... what I found was a series that, for ME, really competes with - and in some ways, especially in how they develop the characters and maybe even in the photography, BEATS! - Breaking Bad.
It's smart, it's funny (seriously, some of Jimmy's stuff is laugh-out-loud funny), it tugs at your heartstrings, it's incredibly tense, and it's visually stunning—the acting is top-notch, everyone! It's a show that respects your intelligence as a viewer and rewards you for paying attention to the details. So, my final verdict? An easy 9.5/10. Maybe even touching a 10... I'd take half a point off, if anything, for that start which is a little slow and might test the patience of some, but the reward afterwards is immense, it's like a character study, mixed with a lawyer drama and a crime thriller, seriously, watch it... in case you were doubting, if you loved Breaking Bad, if you haven't seen Breaking Bad, you can jump straight into Better Call Saul and you're going to experience an incredible story... just get ready to become obsessed with this story, and universe... and well, that's all for today, we'll see you in the next reviews, take care! Y como les decía, mi gente, para los que somos fans de Breaking Bad, ver Better Call Saul de verdad que enriquece UN MONTÓN la serie original.. ver el pasado de Saul, entender sus movidas, ver a Mike antes de ser el brazo derecho de Gus Fring... ¡wow!, le mete unas capas que ni sabías que le faltaban, vuelves a ver BB y, de repente, ciertas frases o cosas que hacen Saul o Mike te pegan ¡completamente diferente! Es como tener una perspectiva totalmente nueva de una historia que creías conocerte al derecho y al revés.. la verdad, yo empecé esperando un spin-off decente, quizá algo para matar el tiempo.. lo que encontré fue una serie que, para MÍ, de verdad le compite – y en algunas cosas, sobre todo en cómo desarrollan a los personajes y chance hasta en la fotografía, le GANA! – a Breaking Bad.
Es inteligente, es divertida (¡en serio!, algunas de las cosas de Jimmy son para morirse de la risa), te llega al corazón, es increíblemente tensa y visualmente es una maravilla.. la actuación es de primer nivel, ¡todos, eh! Hello CineTv community and other Hivians reading this article, it's a beautiful sunday morning, and as you know me, I wouldn't miss any of the CineTv contest. After reading the prompt of the week, and the writer talked about how carried away they were with the tvshow they were watching and forgot to do some things, my body immediately remembers the feelings and there is only one TV show that has made me feel this way.
Probably because it talks about family, siblings' love, mystery, magic, and the like. The truth is, I have watched this Tvshow about 5times now and it keeps getting better. No, it is not "Attack on Titans" but the one and only Tvshow that can stand toe to toe with "Game of Throne" in my heart.
I'll be the first to admit it, "The Originals" captivated me in a way that few shows have. I remember my brother watching "Vampire Diaries" and I wasn't too interested, then he told me about the other spin-off show from Vampire Diaries, which he hadn't watched either, so we set off to watch it together after downloading the first season. I am a very busy person, which means every second matters to me, but in front of "The Originals" Time doesn't matter anymore. I have recommended this movie to @princessbusayo several times, and I wonder if she has watched it. The Originals is a show with intricate plotlines, complex characters, and suspenseful cliffhangers that had me going from one episode to another episode. I couldn't stop watching, and before I knew it, entire weekends were spent binge-watching the show. In a week, I finished two seasons.
I love watching shows like this. I remember watching "Squid Game" season two in two days. I love shows that are intriguing and keeps the viewers on edge at every episode, with a good storyline and that can be backed up with fictional evidence.
A Brief Review on The Originals.
The Originals" is a supernatural drama TV series that follows the story of the original vampire family, the Mikaelsons, as they return to their hometown of New Orleans to reclaim their city from other supernatural beings.
The show centers around three siblings: Klaus Mikaelson, Elijah Mikaelson, and Rebekah Mikaelson. Klaus is one of the Mikaelson son, but he was a bastard, and this made him extraordinary. How? well, his father was a werewolf, and his mother, who was a witch, did a crazy magic to make her family immortal, but there was a cost: they had to survive on human blood. Well, Klaus, who was a werewolf by birth, became a vampire, and when he had his first kill, his werewolf side was triggered, making him both a werewolf and a vampire. (Hybrid). All this happened in a village now known as New Orleans.
As the Mikaelsons return to New Orleans, they met crazy people who are not ready to welcome them back, like the witches, the werewolves, and even the vampires they created. The battle to reclaim their home was tough, only for Klaus to realize he was about to become a father, too. Yes, vampires can't procreate, but Klaus was special, and his family would do everything to keep that child safe.
In conclusion, "The Originals" is a show that captivated me in a way that few others have. While it may have taken over my life at times, the experience was worth it. If you're a fan of complex characters, intricate plotlines, and suspenseful drama, then "The Originals" is a must-watch. Princessbusayo, please watch this and tell me what you think about it.

Ever seen a movie where every episode is made up of a different storyline? Well, I have seen one, so I was going through the different collections of movies that popped up on my notification bar. I decided to explore the movies, so I can decide which one I'd watch.
Then I saw this movie that grabbed my attention, "Black Mirror". Firstly, it was the title of the movie, I strongly believe the term black in a movie can be referred to as something that is the opposite of good. And then, because it had the genre "horror," I ran to that download button and did the needful.
After downloading I started my watching journey, after finishing the episode one I decided to continue and move to episode two then I noticed the episode two was having different character and I became confused like "its the wrong episode I'm watching" so I went back to clear that doubt inside of me and to my greatest surprise I was right and I didn't download the wrong movie, it was the right one all along.
Now the thing that is ringing in my head right now is how to tell the plot of this movie, because where do I start? Every episode has a different character and a different storyline.
The plot
Black Mirror is an outstanding movie that explores different technopanics and features different characters in each episode.
My Review
This is the first time in my entire lifetime that I've watched a movie that contains different characters for each episode, and at some point, it felt like I was watching a different movie with the same name.
When I first downloaded the movie, unknowing to me I downloaded season seven because the movie has seven seasons, after seeing the episode one of season seven I thought I had missed out on the previous seasons but then when I saw the episode two of season seven, it dawned on me that indeed this movie is unique.
Overall, the movie was incredible, the horror side of it felt real, and the different episodes and different storylines were amazing. The cinematography was the major reason I had to spend that quality time on the movie.
I'm gonna rate this movie 8/10 maybe because I'm used to movies where every season has the same characters, so this particular movie was a bit confusing, at some point I was expecting more from those characters, but before I knew, that episode had ended and I won't be seeing those cast again. When I first heard about Ironheart, I thought it might just be another spin-off trying to ride the waves of Black Panther or Iron Man.
I first caught wind of Ironheart through Marvel chatter. After Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, I loved Riri Williams’s raw determination, so when I saw she’d get her own series, I was so curious about this movie. But what truly pulled me in was the trailer showing her back in Chicago, tinkering with armor, and reanimating a lost friend via AI. It felt fresh, emotional, techy—exactly what superhero stories need now.
So I dove in.
And wow... Ironheart was not only above my expectations but gave me a spark of something more. It was not a superhero film. It was an identity, loss, genius, burden of legacy, story before youth has a chance to breathe.
The superhero movies tend to be bigger than life. An explosion, a villain, a billionaire, gods, alien attacks- it is what you are used to. I did not come seeking that though. I needed the reality. I wanted to see somebody who looked like us, somebody who fought like us, loved like us, struggled like us.
And Ironheart provided me with Riri Williams: not only a genius, a Black girl who tries to make her way in a world that either fears her, underestimates her, or attempts to exploit her.
Now, about Riri.
She is just 19.
Ironheart presents us with a genius inventor Riri Williams (Dominique Thorne) who managed to create her own version of Iron Man when she was still in MIT. Having been expelled after a reckless side hustle, she goes back home to Chicago, where she mourns the untimely loss of her stepfather Gary and her best friend Natalie, and the pain is what she overcomes by focusing on her job.
Her journey goes into the moral grey when she gets acquainted with Parker Robbins or The Hood (Anthony Ramos), a magical gang of robbers that targets the rich. He lures Riri by promising to pay money to complete her suit and she reluctantly gets involved with it, with ambition in her mind but the darkness of magic starts to haunt her.
Meanwhile, Riri uses her best friend’s essence to build an AI companion, N.A.T.A.L.I.E., blending tech and grief in a way both poignant and unsettling.
Over six tightly-paced episodes, Riri must understand who she is beyond her suit, confront her grief, and define her moral code—while tech clashes with magic and MCU lore propels them into a new realm.
Riri does not work to save the world to be noticed. She doesn't care about fame. She is trying to defend the neighborhood, her people, her origins. She is doing it under the constant underestimation of people who look at her skin color over her brilliance.
What fascinated me most was her rawness. You had to look into the eyes and see the vulnerability that would come every time she asked the question, was she good enough? Nevertheless, she persevered, she continued to fight and continued to appear.
We need a superhero like that.
The way Ironheart integrates tech and emotion is one of the most impressive features of this series. The scenes of engineering are amazing Riri creates an AI, turns scraps into weapons, and alters flight dynamics on a thought level, it is thrilling.
But that is not what sticks in your mind.
It is the silence of moments that remain. Riri on the grave of her father. Riri crying in the lab because something is not going on. Riri going through an old letter by Tony Stark left behind as an inheritance she never sought.
You start to understand: her biggest fight is not with the villain (though the antagonist, Ezekiel Stane, is a very complicated character). It goes against skepticism. Against fear. In opposition to the question that every young individual yells inside his/her head: Am I enough?
And when she does take off in that last skirmish, and drifts over the city in her red and chrome suit, all the doubts seem to be evaporating in the flames of the engine.
She has been referred to as the next Iron Man by people. However, that is not the case with Ironheart.
This is not Tony Stark version 2.0.
Initially I had the thought that Riri was trying to take the position that Iron Man holds but Riri is not out to replace Iron Man. She desires to characterize herself. That is what is beautiful about the movie. It leaves her room to acknowledge the legacy as she cuts her name in it.
It happens in a flick of the moment, too subtle yet strong, when she gazes at her reflection in the visor of the suit. She is not smiling. She does not feel confident. But you can sense the fire in her eyes.
That is when I felt: this is not a coming-of-age film. It is a movie of coming-into-power. Riri is not trying to become a shadow of somebody. She is creating her armour, her suffering, her own vision, her own fire.
And that is revolutionary.
It is not only Riri that makes Ironheart memorable but the world that brought her up.
The movie is not afraid of the reality. It presents to us a colorful violent Chicago. It puts us in the nooks of societies where children are killed by stray bullets, where mothers hope their sons will make it back home at night, where talent like that of Riri is either overlooked or used.
The beauty is in the manner in which the movie pays tribute to her origins. Riri is not detached to her culture, she is informed by her culture. Her mother, her best friend Natalie, the old mechanic who taught her a lesson, they all lend soul to the story.
It is not Wakanda. It is not an imaginary world. It is the world of ours. That is why the victory is even more impressive.
I felt represented after reading Ironheart. I was a young Black viewer and I did not see just a superhero. I witnessed an icon of what it takes to live on fire.
Riri taught me that pain is not a qualifier of greatness, it is usually the energizer. She demonstrated to me that intelligence and emotion are not conflicting, but they are friends. And she told me that underestimation is not a curse. It is a difficult task.
It even features one of the moments when I literally felt chills, where Riri outwits Stane using a decoy AI and dodges a missile before rebooting her system in the air in the final act. Not due to the special effects, but because I saw: she did this. Out of fragments she made her wings.
And we can too.
Ironheart is more than a superhero movie. It’s a declaration.
It says: brilliance doesn’t need permission. Strength doesn’t always roar. And identity, no matter how complex, is something worth protecting.
If you’ve ever felt too young, too overlooked, too lost to matter—watch Ironheart. Let Riri remind you that your story doesn’t have to be perfect to be powerful. You don’t need to be a billionaire or a god to make a difference. You just need heart.
Because sometimes, the strongest armor… is the one you build yourself.

In previous posts, I've mentioned that I'm not a fan of romance anime, but when you see so many references to an anime that in theory isn't your style, it still piques your curiosity, so I ventured to watch one that was apparently just romance, but I discovered that it also has historical drama and mystery, as well as a dose of humor that gives it an incredible balance.
Kusuriya no Hitorigoto
Kusuriya no Hitorigoto in English: The Apothecary's Diaries, originally a series of Japanese light novels written by Natsu Hyūga and illustrated by Touko Shino. Its success led to subsequent manga adaptations and then a TV anime adaptation.
The Apothecary's Diaries tells the story of a young woman who lives with her father, a famous apothecary in the red-light district. One day, Maomao goes out to find medicinal herbs for her father and his experiments, but is kidnapped and sold by her captors to become a servant in the imperial palace.
Being an educated young woman thanks to her father, who taught her to read and write, and having a curious nature, she becomes involved in the investigation of the death of one of the emperor's newborn sons, leaving a note with her deductions, but she is soon discovered and ends up as a lady-in-waiting to one of the high-ranking concubines in the inner palace.
There, in addition to the concubines, she meets their ladies-in-waiting and a handsome eunuch named Jhinsi, who is in charge of the inner palace. Thus begins a series of adventures for Maomao, who, as a rule, solves mysteries on the orders of Master Jinshi.
Now, what is so charming about this anime is, first of all, its excellent animation, which is detailed, polished, and fluid. The details that stand out about each character differentiate them by the color of their eyes, hair, clothes, and even the details around them.
On the other hand, its historical setting which is something I love, since I am a fan of period series and seeing how they sought to recreate what the Tang dynasty was like, but instead of recreating the historical events exactly as they were, they created, let's say, an alternative reality and filled it with what is never lacking in any court: intrigue, betrayal, the desire for succession, and a touch of apothecary medicine to give it another nuance.
It also has an engaging narrative. With many mysteries to solve, some of which pop up out of nowhere, I was glued to the screen, trying to solve them by observing every detail.
Another strong point is its deep characters. As the anime progresses, we discover a little about each character's life, their pasts, their relationships with each other, and the decisions that led them to where they are.
Another highlight is its music. Both the opening and ending themes are excellent and complement the charming animations.
I can't leave out the moments when the detailed animation gives way to humor to express the reactions of some characters in a very graphic way, mainly those of Maomao and Jinshi in moments where they express emotion, joy, or disgust. You can't help but laugh, because sometimes that type of animation appears where you least expect it.
So after watching the 24 episodes of each of its two seasons, I now understand why so many people love this anime, as it is truly a gem that I give a 9 out of 10.

En anteriores publicaciones, he mencionado que no soy fan del anime de romance, pero cuando uno ve tantas referencias de un anime que en teoría no es de tu estilo igual causa curiosidad, por lo que me aventure a ver uno que aparentemente era solo romance, pero descubrí que también posee drama histórico y misterio, además de una dosis de humor que le da un increíble equilibrio.

Kusuriya no Hitorigoto en español: Los diarios de la boticaria, originalmente una serie de novelas ligeras japonesas escritas por Natsu Hyūga e ilustradas por Touko Shino. Su éxito llevó a que posteriormente se realizaran adaptaciones en manga y luego una adaptación para TV en anime.
Los diarios de la boticaria nos narran la historia de una joven que vive junto a su padre, un famoso boticario del barrio rojo, Maomao un día sale a buscar hierbas medicinales para su padre y sus experimentos, pero es secuestrada y vendida por sus captores para convertirse en sirvienta en el palacio imperial.
Al ser una joven con instrucción gracias a que su padre, quien le enseño a leer y escribir y al tener una naturaleza curiosa, se involucra en las investigaciones de la muerte de uno de los hijos recién nacidos del emperador, dejando una nota con lo que ella deduce, pero no tardan en descubrirla y termina como dama de honor de una de las concubinas de alto rango en el palacio interior.
Allí conoce, además de a las concubinas, a las damas de cada una de ellas y a un guapísimo eunuco de nombre Jhinsi, quien está a cargo del palacio interior. Así comienzan una serie de aventuras para Maomao, quien, por lo regular, por órdenes del Maestro Jinshi resuelve misterios.
Ahora bien, que es lo encantador de este anime, primero su excelente animación es detallada, pulida y fluida. Los detalles que destacan de cada personaje los diferencia el colorido de ojos, cabello, ropa y hasta de los detalles a su alrededor.
Por otro lado, su ambientación histórica, esto es algo que me encanta, puesto que soy amante de las series de época y ver como buscaron recrear a lo que fue la dinastía Tang, pero en lugar de recrear exactamente los eventos históricos como tal, crearon digamos que una realidad alternativa y la llenaron de lo que nunca falta en ninguna corte intrigas, traiciones, el afán por la sucesión y un toque de medicina boticaria para darle otro matiz.
También posee una narrativa envolvente. Al tener muchos misterios por resolver y los que saltan a veces de la nada, me mantuvieron frente a la pantalla y hasta intentando resolverlos observando cada detalle.
Otro fuerte son sus personajes profundos. A medida que avanza el anime, vamos descubriendo un poco de la vida de cada personaje, de sus pasados, de las relaciones de unos con otros y de las decisiones que los llevaron a donde están.
Otro punto que destaca es su música. Los temas tanto de opening como de endings son excelentes y los complementan las animaciones encantadoras.
No puedo dejar por fuera los momentos en los que la animación tan detallada da paso a lo jocoso para expresar de manera muy gráfica las reacciones de algunos personajes principalmente los de Maomao y Jinshi en momentos donde expresan emoción, alegría o disgusto, uno no puede evitar reírse, pues a veces ese tipo de animación aparece donde uno menos se lo espera.
Así que después de ver los 24 capítulos de cada una de sus dos temporadas, ahora comprendo porque tantos aman este anime, ya que es de verdad una joya la que yo le doy un 9 de 10.
