La misma lleva por nombre El gran debate, un filme estadounidense de 2007 dirigida por Denzel Washington, mientras que el guion estuvo a cargo de Robert Eisele, y Tony Scherman, basado en la historia de Jeffrey Porro. Al inicio mi interés por el filme no era tan alto, tenía bajas expectativas y a continuación les contaré que tal me pareció, basado en mi experiencia personal y la conexión que tuvo con la producción.

Trama

La trama de la película nos habla sobre Mel Tolson, quien es un profesor en la universidad de Wiley College de Texas, quien formó un grupo de debate. La casa de estudio estudiaban puros jóvenes afroamericanos, una escuela de negros, en una época donde el racismo estaba un máximo esplendor, en Estados Unidos había muchos problemas en este sentido. Uno de los grandes hitos que encontramos en el filme es el hecho que los jóvenes afroamericanos se enfrentarían a prestigiosa Universidad de Harvard, quienes eran formadas por jóvenes blancos, personas de clase alta. Another highlight of the film is the cast, which is made up of some experienced actors, including Denzel Washington, who manages to convey everything he wants to send to the viewer. Forest Whitaker is another actor who works in this film and his work is very good. We also have young actors, led by Nate Parker, Denzel Whitaker, Kimberly Elise, among others, who do a very outstanding job in the film, so it gives a greater connection to the story with the audience, which is a positive point.

The Great Debate is an excellent film, a film that goes far beyond a simple story where a group of students stand out in the debate groups, it achieves something more, it gives us messages, it reminded us of the oppression that people suffered simply because of the color of their skin, but with preparation, education, fortitude, we can fight with anything. This film has a good script that makes the story flow smoothly and does not become tedious. In addition, the film has a great cast, good photography, soundtrack and more that we can highlight from the production. For me it is a 10/10, 100% recommendable.

El gran debate es una excelente película, un filme que va mucho más allá de una simple historia donde un grupo de estudiantes resaltar en los grupos de debates, si no que logra algo más, nos da mensajes, nos recordó la opresión que sufrieron las personas simplemente por el color de su piel, pero con la preparación, educación, fortaleza, podemos luchar con cualquier cosa. Este filme tiene buen guion que hace de la historia que sea fluida y no se volvieron tediosa. Además, el filme posee una gran cast, buena fotografía, banda sonora y más que podemos resaltar de la producción. Para mí es un 10/10, 100% recomendable.

I personally watched The Old Guard 2 on Netflix the day it dropped, and I was not disappointed. The storytelling, action, emotional drama, and performances were all on point. It’s rare to find an action-fantasy film that can make you both tear up and cheer at the same time. This is definitely one of those.

Hello, Hivian and The Anime Realm community, Today I will be reviewing one of the Bleach episodes, which are episodes 271-272, the battle between Ichigo and Ulquiorra. Now this is a battle many people anticipated for because Ulquiorra was one of the most powerful Espada and the thought of him being the number was very high but it was a shock to fans after realizing he was just number 4 was wild. Their battle is an unforgettable clash of strength, speed, and determination, we got to see Ichigo transform into a new form, one that hasn't been seen before and at that moment, we realized how powerful he is and he hasn't even saw people his true form. These two episodes are one of the most watched episode in Bleach and there is no bleach fan that wouldn't remember this Episode.

It all happened when Ichigo was very determined to save Orihime Inoue, and his friends and that was when he met Ulquiorra in the Espada castle, the truth was that, I was thinking he would win the fight because he was gaining the upper hand at a point but in this episode, Ulquiorra strength was shown to the fan and he really gave Ichigo the beating. The battle was so intense, with both characters exchanging blows and showcasing their impressive skills but Ulquiorra's speed and agility proved to be a formidable challenge for Ichigo; Ichigo did all he could to win but he ended up having a huge hole in his chest, which led to his death.

Yes, many people don't know that Ichigo died but his death unveiled something even the espada haven't seen before or felt before. After Orihime was crying on top of Ichigo's corpse, it birth a new power inside him, and the vastlorde emerged. Ichigo took a new form, new power and we almost lost some of Ichigo's friends because this new beast doesn't know if he has friends or anything. All he just wanted to do was fight and destroy everything.

What makes this battle truly compelling is the emotional depth of the characters. Ichigo's passion and conviction are matched by Ulquiorra's cold, they were like same coin with two different side. The contrast between their personalities and motivations adds depth to the fight, making it more than just a simple clash of strength, but a show of personality and story.

The animation of this episode was very nice, the use of lighting, music, fight choreography and back story was great. The visual display of every fight was great and it an episode fans looked forward too, especially fans who have read the manga.

I would recommend Bleach to anyone any day because it is part of the Big Three. If you are an anime fan and haven't watched Bleach, then you haven't completed your anime quest as an anime person. I would give this episode a 9/10 anytime, any day.

They meet in a very beautiful, modern and particular luxury restaurant, Violet arrives early and decides to have a drink exchanging some words with an older customer who is also anxious about a first date. At a certain point the man of her date arrives, a pleasant and kind photographer named Henry, initially everything seems to proceed calmly, Violet every now and then checks the cell phone that has the cameras connected to her house to monitor what her son is doing with the babysitter, it would seem like a calm date, in one of the most beautiful places in the city with two elegant and beautiful adults who are enjoying a stellar dinner but the reality is different....

During the evening Violet begins to receive strange messages that seem to be a sort of app used by very young people to send each other silly messages and memes, Henry explains to her that it is a very popular app and not to worry, but during dinner the tone of the messages becomes more and more threatening until the sender threatens her son and she sees from the cameras that there is a stranger in the house. From there it will be a spiral of terror and increasingly threatening messages, the sender has only one desire that she poisons Henry at any cost. Throughout the dinner there will be enormous tension, a crescendo of tension very intense and engaging, a thriller of those that certainly do not bore you, not at all predictable and with great suspense. Honestly I was not at all disappointed by the film that in fact I liked it a lot! If you love high tension thrillers I recommend it!!

La película trata sobre Violet, una mujer viuda de un hombre violento con un hijo pequeño al cuidado. Una noche, Violet decide salir con un hombre que conoció en una app de citas para intentar seguir adelante con su vida. Se encuentran en un restaurante de lujo muy bonito, moderno y peculiar. Violet llega temprano y decide tomar una copa, intercambiando algunas palabras con un cliente mayor que también está ansioso por una primera cita. En cierto momento llega el hombre de su cita, un simpático y amable fotógrafo llamado Henry, inicialmente todo parece transcurrir con calma, Violet cada tanto revisa el celular que tiene las cámaras conectadas a su casa para monitorear lo que hace su hijo con la niñera, parecería una cita tranquila, en uno de los lugares más lindos de la ciudad con dos elegantes y hermosos adultos que están disfrutando de una cena estelar pero la realidad es otra....

Por la noche, Violet empieza a recibir mensajes extraños que parecen ser una especie de app usada por jóvenes para enviarse mensajes tontos y memes. Henry le explica que es una app muy popular y que no se preocupe. Sin embargo, durante la cena, el tono de los mensajes se vuelve cada vez más amenazante hasta que el remitente amenaza a su hijo y ella ve por las cámaras que hay un extraño en casa. A partir de ahí, se desata una espiral de terror y mensajes cada vez más amenazantes. El único deseo de la remitente es envenenar a Henry a cualquier precio. Durante la cena habrá una tensión enorme, un crescendo de tensión muy intenso y atrapante, un thriller de esos que no te aburren, nada predecible y con mucho suspense. La verdad es que la película no me decepcionó en absoluto; de hecho, ¡me gustó mucho! Si te gustan los thrillers de alta tensión, ¡te la recomiendo!

Blue Lock is one of the best anime I watched last year. Like other anime, it is loaded with lessons and that is why I laugh when people say anime is a cartoon and that it is meant for kids. I recently came across a tweet on X where someone openly stated that they'd never be in a relationship with someone who watches “Japanese cartoons.” “Japanese cartoon” was the exact words they used, but I knew they meant anime. Anime is, in so many ways, different from cartoons. I definitely would write a post about the differences one of these days. So, back to Blue Lock, I don’t exactly remember who recommended this anime. I probably came across it on Instagram and then proceeded to download it. In this post, I'll do a review of the anime, focusing on the lessons I learnt from it. 

The anime focuses on Japan’s football. Ever since the start of the World Cup, Japan has never won it. This made the Japanese Football Union build players who will participate in the 2022 World Cup and win it for Japan. For Japan, winning the World Cup is a far-fetched dream, but they believe that with the right approaches, it will be a dream come through. To achieve this goal, Ego, a coach, introduces an initiative: 300 high school forwards will be locked up in a big building and go through training. Of course, they were given enough food, water, a place to sleep, and good equipment for training. The goal of this initiative is to build a team strong enough to win the World Cup.

The anime introduces Isagi Yoichi. Isagi is of the school of thought that football is all about cooperation. Meaning, if you want to win a football game, you have to cooperate with your team and make sacrifices for them. During a final football match that would take his team to the nationals, Isagi (on a one-on-one with the goalkeeper) passes the ball to his teammate instead of scoring. Unfortunately, his teammate missed the play, which cost them the chance to go to the finals. In Blue Lock, Isagi Yoichi learns a totally different thing about football. More importantly, he learns to believe in himself. 

One of the lessons to learn from Blue Lock is to be selfish when the need arises. I know this doesn't sound right, but bear with me. Sometimes, life presents opportunities to us, but because we don’t believe in our skills, we let others do it. Sometimes, we need to grab opportunities with our full hands. In the anime, Isagi loses the opportunity to go to the nationals because he wasn't selfish. He also did not believe in his skills. Isagi was directly in front of the goalkeeper. All he had to do was shoot! But because he didn't want to be selfish, he passed the ball to his teammate who missed the shot.

Blue Lock also teaches to believe in your skills and keep growing. The best footballers we have today did not just wake up one day and see trophies beside them. They did not magically develop skills, they had to work for it. The anime teaches that, as humans, we have what it takes to keep growing. This also applies to other areas, whether you are a writer or a musician. Keep working on yourself. Keep honing your skills. More importantly, another lesson to learn from Bluelock is to embrace competition. Healthy competition is evident in Bluelock. When you see people who are better than you, don’t hate them. Instead, watch them closely and imitate them. On the other hand, unhealthy competition will only drag you down. 

On a scale of 1-10, I give Blue Lock an eight. I totally enjoyed watching it and I recommend it to all anime lovers. Have you seen Bluelock? What is your take on it?

Last week, I was engaged in a movie conversation with a friend about how big this sitcom got and how the stars of the show, Sheldon, Leonard, and even Penny, made a pretty substantial amount that should put a smile on your face when you go to the bank.

I told her it would be shocking to know they did not use any apartments. Probably just a studio set where they built in and designed these apartments for the show. We pondered a little on the conversation until we finally watched a behind-the-scenes video on YouTube.

Next up is the legal drama, Suits. After I discovered the staircase scenes in The Big Bang Theory, I became more intrigued about what other series could be using good cinematography to play tricks on what our eyes can see on the screen.

I remember the first time I watched this series during my final years in secondary school. I was amazed by the aesthetics that came with the building, especially. How tall it was and the concept of working in a skyscraper building fascinated me.

As Donna pointed out in the video, it is simply a gigantic painting of New York City perfectly placed behind the set at the studio. Wow, that is some visual presentation I didn't see coming. Although I wasn't shocked to discover they didn't use skyscraper buildings but uncovering this about the window view blew my mind.

This goes to show how a lot of work is put into good cinematography to build an aesthetic view for the eye.

Yeah, that is true. Megan Boone went through a couple of training for her role in the blacklist which included physical fitness and martial art. So those actions you see in the first two seasons were done by her.

Discovering these behind-the-scenes secrets from these shows makes the shows more intriguing, as it shows a lot of work was put into it by a lot of people.
