  1. Creepshow (6/10)- Short horror anthology series that feels amateurish@dedicatedguy1978d

Creepshow is a recent remake from Shudder of popular movies with the same name from the 80s. This time, instead of movies we have 6 episodes lasting around 40 minutes each, and containing 2 independent horror stories per episode.

All the stories in this series are about monsters. There are werewolves in one story, a monster that looks like the Loch Ness Monster, haunted dolls, ghosts, a haunted scarecrow among many other monsters. In total, there are 12 different monsters, 1 type of monster for each story.

There aren't many popular actors in this series. In fact, I was only able to recognize 2 of them and they aren't that popular. Although the fact there were a lot of child actors might have something to do with this. However, the lack of top-notch acting talent and a CGI that doesn't look 100% realistic can make this series feel very amateurish.

However, some of the stories were cool. My favorites were All Hallow's Eve and The Man in the Suitcase from episode 3, this was the best episode in my opinion. I also enjoyed The Finger which is the second story in episode 2, and The Companion which is the first story of episode 4. The absolutely worst story of all was Time is Tough in Musky Holler, the second story of episode 5. So by all means avoid that one.

The horror in this show isn't actually scary. It might scare younger audiences because of the abundance of monsters but this is not true horror in my opinion. These are just spooky stories that won't make your bones chill but might provide entertainment value to older audiences.

If you enjoy the horror/suspense stories this could be a good choice to watch as long as you aren't expecting in getting scary for real. If you like the genre some stories might be fun but this is not a must-watch production.

    The best

    • Some stories were cool and entertaining.

    The worst

    • There were stories with an alarming lack of quality.
    • The CGI could have been better, the same goes for the acting in some cases.

  2. Creepshow Tv Series Reviews@kapitanrosomak2161d

Today I will share my review of the Creepshow series, so sit back and invite you to read

We have literally everything here, but it is presented in such a way that the viewer will not be disgusted as they do in some of today's movies. It is a series, on the one hand, aimed at young people, and on the other hand, at adults, because the series itself is based on a well-received film from 1982, shot by George Romero himself, and the script was written by Stephen King, as well as the film, and the series consists of separate segments and combines it with your way terrifying.

Each episode consists of two 20-minute films where we learn about different stories. Personally, I will tell you that I was taken by this series much more than the movies that were made under this banner (I have not read comics)

One of the most interesting episodes is about the dollhouse. In this episode, a little girl plays with a dollhouse and sees a ghostly head of a doll, the whole action takes place from the perspective of a dollhouse, we get to know the nightmare of a doll family and an attempt by a girl to help them.

Well done and at a low cost, it does not scare, but it has something in it that I wanted to discover the mystery of the mysterious head with the main character, there will also be a wooden Indian who is a blink of an eye for those who watched creepshow 2

Another great episode is Bob The young guy notices a strange finger on the street and brings it home when the finger and then the paw regenerates itself and a strange monster arises in its own way charming cheering for this episode to last as long as possible light macabre but also a great sense of humor. cool looking bob which helps its master get rid of the garbage.

Another episode that I liked was the name of it, slimming, I will tell you that it was brilliant because everyone wants to look perfect even at the highest price, it is very interesting here to strive for ideality and what will be the consequence sometimes it is worth looking normal and not using "miracle" diet hehe the scene in the TV studio is mega comic.

Each episode has something about it, these are not vulgar stories, but such as to scare the young man a bit, and this is a severed head, and this is some kind of scare.

I liked it the least with the werewolves, but I have it like that, hehe If you remember Goosebumps, you will fully find yourself in this series, there is a lot going on, sometimes a slight macabre, but everything is toned down in an interesting way. These are not scary stories like woooooooo, but just some monsters that pop up at the least expected moment.

The series is full of kitsch, but in a positive feeling, the actors play overly exaggerated characters, but that's not how it should be because they are strongly modeled on the 80s film and comics. It is one of those series where you can feel younger, where everything is so simple, but at the same time it works on the imagination.

An example, let a group of children scare on Halloween, as if nothing but the secrets are specific and the end is mega satisfying

Of course, there are also worse stories, as I have already mentioned about werewolves and Nazis, where somehow the whole envelope could not, despite the redraw and the play of colors, appeal to me, for many good breads and I will do it hehe.

Each episode has its own specific introduction by a phantom who laughs terrifyingly at a given activity and then opens a comic where each story is a given movie.

Currently, the series is on the AMC channel where once a week there is one 20-minute episode (consisting of one story) If you like a little thrill before bedtime and a lot of references to pop culture such as annabelle and bottle (suitcase) jinn, I recommend it because it is a series literally for everyone, both adults and teenagers :)
