The series I'm going to talk about today is very special to me, which makes it important. Elfen Lied wasn't just another anime or an adventure story that marked my life because of how beautiful it was, but quite the opposite. This series was one of the first of its kind to show a harsh reality to those who watch it, regardless of their age. In my case, I saw it when I was around 13-14 years old. I remember that the series itself was so peculiar that it could only be seen on DVD. You could say that it touches on topics that were taboo for society at the time, such as violent discrimination, gore, very explicit violence, situations of social alienation, identity, and many prejudices. Basically, everything that a child like me at that age should not be seeing.
Esta serie de la que les vengo a hablar hoy, resulta muy especial para mí, lo que la hace importante. Elfen Lied no fue nada más un animé más ni una historia de aventuras que marcó mi vida por lo bonita que fue, sino por todo lo contrario. Esta serie fue una de las primeras en su género en salir que muestra una cruda realidad para quien la ve, sin importar la edad que tengas. En mi caso la vi alredor de los 13-14 años. La serie en sí recuerdo que era tan peculiar que sólo podía verse en DVD. Se podría decir que toca temas que en aquel entonces resultaban un Tabú para la sociedad, como la discriminación violenta, el Gore, una violencia muy explícita, situaciones de alineación social, identidad y muchos prejuicios. Básicamente todo lo que un niño como yo a esa edad no debería estar viendo.

Aún así la vi, aún así me gustó mucho y me cautivó por su trama y por todos los temas que tocaron de manera cruda y real. La serie no me hizo mala persona, sólo me sirvió para enseñarme la realidad del mundo a temprana edad. Así como muchos otros animés de este género. Sus personajes tuvieron muy buen desarrollo, la historia también fue muy bien llevada y aunque muchos critican el manga y el animé, para mi, en ese entonces nunca lo leí, nunca supe cómo terminó, me quedé con la idea de cómo sucedió todo en el animé y la verdad es que me dejó satisfecho.
I think that seeing a certain level of violence and discrimination in cartoons, even when I was very young, was normal for me, although it sounds strange to say so today. The way we were raised was very similar to what was shown here. Many children were mean to others, insulting them, hitting them, throwing things, breaking things, and everything was resolved with a scolding from the teacher and apologies between those involved. But in the case of these protagonists, especially Lucy, a Diclonius more powerful than the others, she did experience pure violence, and I understand why she came to hate and reject humans.
Pienso que ver cierto nivel de violencia y discriminación en dibujos animados, incluso que se experimentara de muy chico, fue algo normal para mí, aunque suene extraño hoy en día decirlo así. Y es que a forma en la que fuimos criados, fue muy parecido a lo que mostraron aquí. Muchos niños eran malos con otros, insultaban, golpeaban, lanzaban cosas, rompían cosas y todo se arreglaba con un regaño por parte del profesor y pidiéndose disculpas entre los involucrados. Al menos así hicieron conmigo muchas veces, y todo seguía su cursor como si nada. Pero en el caso de estas protagonistas, sobre todo de Lucy, una Diclonius más poderosa que las demás, ella si vivió violencia pura y entiendo por qué llegó a odiar y repudiar a los humanos.
I also liked the contrast between the personalities that inhabited Lucy. One of them turned out to be a lethal killing machine who would mercilessly attack anyone who approached her, while her counterpart showed a tender, innocent, docile, and childlike side. Seeing this in an anime portrayed in such a simple way, that dissociation of personalities and such disparate extremes, made me realize how complex the human psyche can be. In other words, this series sparked my curiosity to want to know more about the world at an early age, without fear of what others might say, without fear of delving into topics that were considered taboo, not only for children but also for adults. As I said, those were different times, and yet I enjoyed those years very much.
También me agradó el contraste entre las personalidades que habitaban en Lucy. Una de ellas resultaba ser una máquina asesina totalmente letal a quien se le acercara sin piedad alguna mientras que su contraparte mostraba un lado totalmente tierno, inocente, dócil e infantil. Ver esto en un animé mostrado de manera tan sencilla, esa disociación de personalidades, y extremos tan disparejos, me hizo comprender lo compleja que puede llegar a ser la psiquis humana. Es decir, esta serie despertó mi curiosidad por querer saber más sobre el mundo a temprana edad sin miedo al qué dirán, sin miedo a indagar por los temas que resultaban ser catalogados como prohibidos, no nada más para los niños sino también para los adultos. Como dije, eran otros tiempos y aún así disfruté mucho de aquellos años.

Saludos Otakus de la Comunidad de #TheAnimeRealm. Hoy les confieso que tengo días sin ver animé ya que le he dado prioridad a una serie en particular la cual me ha robado toda la atención. Se trata de The Boys. Sin embargo, esto no implica que no pueda hablar de animé por no ver más series hasta ahora, así que decidí armar el post de hoy para hablar de una de las primeras series Gore que vi en mi adolescencia, sin saber lo fuerte que era esta serie. Les daré mi opinión sobre Elfen Lied.
Recuerdo que esta serie la vi cuando tenía alrededor de 16 años de edad y me la recomendaron mucho en aquel momento (un buen amigo, ese que me recomendó School Days) y me confié, me dije: "este sabe bastante de animé, se ve que tiene tiempo en esto, así que le daré una oportunidad".
Pero no me dijo que era un animé para adultos. Es decir, es Gore, Ecchi y muy dramático. Por lo tanto, me causó gran impacto en aquellos años que la vi por primera vez y recuerdo que se me hizo tan bizarra que tuve que verla como 3 veces más (con tiempo de por medio para aceptar los horrores que muestra la serie) pero esto con el fin de entenderla de una buena vez ya que habían muchas cosas confusas.
Confusa porque dejan muchos temas abiertos al espectador, dejando que quien la vea saque sus propias conclusiones en donde la mayoría son malas. Su final también queda así, abierto al espectador, ya que no concluye exactamente de manera feliz como todos esperábamos, sino que te deja pistas para que saques tus propias conclusiones.
Para mí este animé fue exageradamente profundo, con muchos detalles por todos lados, desde el opening, recorriendo la historia, los personajes y sobre todo los temas fuertes de la sociedad como violación de menores, abuso psicológico, bullying, entre otros (sin excluir los desmembramientos corporales tan visuales), hacen que al final esta serie quede como un trago muy amargo para quien la ve.
Yo, no diría que esta serie me perturbó, pero si llegó al nivel de dejarme mal unos cuantos días por la realidad que muestra con los temas sociales, a pesar de que se trate de un animé de ciencia ficción.
Por otro lado, tengo entendido que esta serie se alejó de la historia que describe el manga, dándole un final alternativo en tan sólo 13 episodios, que como dije en un principio, queda abierto. Y aunque muchos fans en aquel entonces se sintieron decepcionados, luego de terminar la historia en el manga, con su final, con ambos finales en realidad, quedaron satisfechos.
Y es que si, se podría afirmar que ocurrió lo mismo que con Full Metal Alchemist pero eso no significa que el animé sea malo. La historia que relatan en la serie es bastante buena, al igual que la que se desarrolla en el manga.
Lo que más me gustó de este animé son los detalles y similitudes que muestran en el opening. Ya que es algo poco común de ver en una serie de este tipo, es decir, usar una canción que denota un tema religioso, así como también agregar obras de arte de Gustav Klimpt (de quien me volví fan después de ver esta serie) y mi obra favorita de este es sin dudarlo "El Beso".
Lo que hace de esta serie, a pesar de ser tan oscura, una obra maestra que vale la pena ver. Así que, si eres de las personas que son capaces de tolerar desmembraciones, sangre y mucho más sufrimiento, esta serie es para ti. De mi parte la recomiendo sólo si te gusta este género Gore tan explícito y con toques de horror. Así como también le asigno sus bien merecidas:

Greetings Otakus of #TheAnimeRealm Community. Today I confess that I have days without watching anime since I have given priority to a particular series that has stolen all my attention. It is The Boys. However, this doesn't imply that I can't talk about anime for not watching more series until now, so I put together today's post to talk about one of the first Gore series I watched in my teenage years, without knowing how strong this series was. I will give you my opinion about Elfen Lied.
I remember watching this series when I was around 16 years old and it was highly recommended to me at the time (a good friend, the one who recommended School Days) and I trusted it, I said to myself: "This guy knows a lot about anime, it looks like he's been doing it for a while, so I'll give him a chance".
But he didn't tell me it was an adult anime. I mean, it is Gore, Ecchi, and very dramatic. Therefore, it had a great impact in those years that I saw it for the first time. I remember that it was so bizarre that I had to watch it about 3 times more (with time in between to accept the horrors shown in the series) but this was to understand it once and for all because there were many confusing things.
Confusing because they leave many issues open to the viewer, leaving the viewer to draw their conclusions where most of them are bad. Its ending is also left open to the viewer, as it does not end happily as we all expected, but leaves clues for you to draw your conclusions.
For me this anime was exaggeratedly deep, with many details everywhere, from the opening, going through the story, the characters, and especially the strong themes of society such as child rape, psychological abuse, and bullying, among others (not excluding the very visual body dismemberments), make this series a very bitter pill to swallow in the end for those who watch it.
I, I wouldn't say that this series disturbed me, but it did reach the level of leaving me sick for a few days because of the reality it shows with the social issues, even though it is a science fiction anime.
On the other hand, I understand that this series moved away from the story described in the manga, giving it an alternate ending in only 13 episodes, which as I said in the beginning, is left open-ended. Although many fans at the time were disappointed, after finishing the story in the manga, with its ending, with both endings actually, they were satisfied.
And yes, it could be said that the same thing happened with Full Metal Alchemist, but that doesn't mean that the anime is bad. The story they tell in the series is pretty good, just like the one in the manga.
What I liked most about this anime are the details and similarities shown in the opening. Since it is something uncommon to see in a series of this type, that is, using a song that denotes a religious theme, as well as adding artwork by Gustav Klimpt (of whom I became a fan after watching this series) and my favorite work of his is without a doubt "The Kiss".
What makes this series, despite being so dark, a masterpiece worth watching. So, if you are one of those people who can tolerate dismemberment, blood, and much more suffering, this series is for you. For my part, I recommend it only if you like this genre Gore is so explicit and with touches of horror. As well as I also assign it its well-deserved:
Las imágenes, el sonido y la música son arte que cuando llegan a ese momento de armonía hipnótica superan los sentidos de la vista y el oído para llegar a los sentimientos, si hay un opening en algún anime que genera, hace nacer sensaciones, pensamientos y se vuelve arte es el de Elfen Lied.
Como en todo anime, nos encontramos con ese opening en ese primer capítulo pero muchas veces esa no es la primera impresión y si hay algo que debemos recordar es que esa primera memoria es vital al momento de juzgar un producto, leí recientemente en la comunidad una solida opinión negativa que incluía a Elfen Lied y como el leer en internet que es una de los mejores animes etc, etc creo una expectativa que no pudo ser satisfecha, esto hizo animarme a contar mi primer encuentro con este anime.
Estaba en la Universidad y un amigo me sugirió el anime, vi la carátula y me lleve el producto a casa porque quería ver algo que no fuera infantil, el ser un material para adulto por su mensaje, horror y violencia, esa es la premisa, expectativa de Elfen Leid que tuve en ese momento.

I was in college and a friend suggested me the anime, I saw the cover and I took the product home because I wanted to see something that was not childish, being an adult material for its message, horror and violence, that is the premise, expectation of Elfen Leid that I had at that time.
Lo primero que me conseguí que aun admiro hoy y lo haré por siempre es ese opening de Elfen Lied, es una armonía de música clásica a la que no estaba acostumbrado pero se quedo en mi mente, tanto que aun hoy escucho la canción y se percibe la sensación de tristeza, de soledad en la música y voz de la cantante.
Generalmente los opening son muy comerciales, los personajes corriendo hacia un horizonte infinito y sonriendo pero en esto me conseguí otra cosa, es otro nivel, es arte en su máxima expresión, un cuerpo desnudo bien utilizado envuelto en un marco artístico que representa a un títere, a un muñeco vacío, esto que escribo es lo que percibí y aun veo hoy al ver ese primer capítulo, la soledad eterna del personaje protagonista.

El Casco a lo Hannibal Lecter
Luego del opening del cual ya dije joyas, la primera impresión del personaje llamado Lucy es el como esta aprisionada con un casco que me recuerda, se asemeja a esa mascara que llevaba Hannibal Lecter en su famosa escena, vi eso y comprendo el peligro que representa el personaje de manera inmediata.
El gore exquisito de ese primer capítulo es inigualable, disfruto el gore pero bien hecho, no colocado por estar porque así no transmite nada, en este capítulo ese elemento esta a nivel, junto con ese casco ver un brazo desmembrado es lo que impacta al espectador luego de un opening que se pudiera considerar relajante, ahora eso no quiere decir que lo tranquilo no se mantenga, de hecho la lentitud domina mientras vemos cuerpos ir y venir de un lado a otro manchando con chorros de sangre el lugar.

The Hannibal Lecter-like Helmet.
After the opening of which I already said jewels, the first impression of the character named Lucy is how she is imprisoned with a helmet that reminds me, it resembles that mask that Hannibal Lecter wore in his famous scene, I saw that and I understand the danger that the character represents immediately.
The exquisite gore of that first chapter is unmatched, I enjoy the gore but well done, not placed for being because it does not transmit anything, in this chapter that element is at level, along with that helmet to see a dismembered arm is what impacts the viewer after an opening that could be considered relaxing, now that does not mean that the quiet is not maintained, in fact the slowness dominates while we see bodies coming and going from one side to another staining the place with streams of blood.
Enlazando con lo anterior que es esa lentitud que domina la escena escape de Lucy de esa instalación, ella pasea con su cuerpo desnudo, destaco nuevamente la banda sonora del opening porque la escuchamos por decirlo así en distintas versiones, una de ellas cantada tarareada por Lucy y otra por un coro de hombres.
Todo lo anterior con ella caminando lentamente tal cual una Terminator y no solo el modo en que se desplaza, es el modo en que masacra, le disparan a mas no poder y Lucy se mantiene pura, perfecta, los cuerpos de los guardias son mantequilla para ella mientras los descuartiza.
El Momento que destroza la cabeza de La Secretaria inocente
Hay un personaje que la recuerdo claramente porque me impacto el modo en que pereció y es la secretaria inocente que es muy tonta por decirlo así en sus movimientos y que solo quiere impresionar a su jefe.
Pobre muchacha, JURO que pensé ella iba a ser importante para la historia que se desarrollaría luego, JAMÁS pensé que ella moriría de esa forma, ella ni se dio cuenta de cuando pereció, el gesto en su rostro decapitado lo refleja, y luego el modo en que Lucy usa su cuerpo inerte como escudo, yo vi eso y estaba estupefacto frente al televisor, no me creía lo que veía, un deleite visual de material violento bien distribuido y con el impacto necesario para quedarse en mi mente gratamente por siempre.
Lucy is a Terminator

Poor girl, I SWEAR I thought she was going to be important for the story that would develop later, I NEVER thought she would die that way, she didn't even realize when she perished, the gesture on her decapitated face reflects it, and then the way Lucy uses her inert body as a shield, I saw that and I was stupefied in front of the TV, I didn't believe my eyes, a visual delight of violent material well distributed and with the necessary impact to stay in my mind pleasantly forever.
Un episodio del cual solo escribí maravillas porque esa es la puntuación que le doy, 10 chiquitos de 10, la historia luego empieza a desarrollarse pero ese primer capítulo en sus primeros 10 minutos me hacen comprar el anime con todo y palomitas de maíz, no necesito mas para quedarme a ver esta joya del anime. Tuve violencia, horror, gore, estilo, sorpresas, arte y música que muy de vez en cuando escucho la banda sonora del opening como ayer y hoy mientras escribo este post para inspirarme.
Por eso pienso las expectativas son importantes para apreciar un producto, de esto no esperaba nada, no sabía nada, solo la carátula y me impacto felizmente como una bomba nuclear todo ese comienzo, por eso hay que cuidarse de ciertas menciones en internet que coloquen algún producto en un pedestal de manera muy subjetiva porque un espectador pudiera colocar sobre ese material una roca muy pesada que ni un Atlas podría cargar quitándole poder a la experiencia que pudiera ofrecer.
Todo tiene puntos positivos y negativos, pudiera decir que es muy lento su inicio, que los guardias son de mantequilla porque bolígrafos pudieran ser proyectiles pero cuidado con ese concepto porque no son balas, bolígrafos son de plástico y atravesar musculo, hueso no es que sea fácil pero criticar elementos así es nadar muy hondo en aguas que no interesan ya que lo positivo aplasta enormemente detalles como los que nombre ya que es un anime muy cuidado, mimado con cariño por sus creadores, sin mas nada que decir, gracias por leerme y los leo en comentarios.
Dedicado todos y cada uno de mis post y videos a mi perrita llamada princesa que la llamábamos chiquito que ya no está con nosotros pero desde el cielo verá que su existencia SI fue valiosa y lo más hermoso que existirá en mi corazón y alma.

Elfen Lied is about several things, but the main one is that humans are shitty and will do anything to continue being the ones who dominate the earth, so as to avoid being treated the way they treat the other species on the planet; well, no, but yes. Recuerdo que la primera vez que mi Elfen Lied fue con Natalia (@soy-laloreto ) en el 2019 durante las pocas horas de luz que a veces teníamos después que hubo el apagón nacional por más de una semana, y desde el primer momento en el que escuché y vi el opening mi cerebro se derritió y no pude dejar de verla, tanto así que la vi con ella, y a los días cuando me regresé a mi casa volví a verla, porque simplemente no podía no disfrutar de su existencia. Poco a cambiado mi opinión respecto al anime, cosa que no me sorprende, pero a la vez sí, es raro volver a ver algo después de tanto tiempo y no pensar diferente, auque en este caso no hay mucho sobre lo que pensar, así que no importa mucho.
Elfen Lied trata sobre varias cosas, pero la principal es que los humanos son una mierda y harán lo que sea por seguir siendo los que dominen la tierra, para así evitar ser tratados como tratan a las demás especies del planeta; bueno, no, pero sí. En el primer capítulo conoceremos a Lucy, una adolescente que está escapando de un edificio donde la tienen encerrado, y por una muy buena razón, pues Lucy tiene, digámosle en este momento, poderes que le permiten manipular dentro de cierto rango de distancia, entonces ha asesinado a mucha gente, se escapa, le disparan, y al día siguiente en la plya la encuentran Kohta y su primera, Yuka, pero ahora Lucy no es Lucy, si no que es alguien más, pues tiene ciertos problemas de identidad y olvida quien es para poder enfrentar la realidad.

Elfen Lied tiene de todo, sangre, desmembramientos, asesinatos, disparos, decapitaciones, ternura, amor, recuerdos traumáticos de la infancia, celos, enamoramientos, a Lucy actuando como un gato, por eso es que la comienzan a llamar como Nyaa, cosa que me da demasiada risa; también hay padres abusivos, ay, me acordé de una madre que insultó a su hija porque le dijo que el hombre que ella llevó a la casa la estaba abusando sexualmente, y ella, la madre, dijo que era la hija la que tenía problemas y no tenía por qué quejarse, ojalá la hubieran matado, joder, qué desgraciada. Incesto también hay, torturas, aislamientos, violación, manipulación, pérdida, hermandad, perversión, aunque eso ya lo dije, poderes o habilidades, y el deseo de existir sin la necesidad de que nos den permiso para hacerlo.

Algo muy importante en esta historia es que se puede llegar a creer que Lucy es la mala de la historia, y que por eso asesina a las personas y estaba encerrada, pero mientras más avanza la historia nos vamos a enterar de que tan solo una mala racha de situaciones fue la que llevó a Lucy a ser así, siendo la primera causa la mala calidad de los humanos en la que se trata a lo que es diferente como malo, como cuando vemos todas las burlas que le hacen solo por tener cuernos, además del mal trato físico y emocional que reciben por ser diferentes, o sea, el día en el que una raza superior de humanos se alce ante nosotros y nos asesinen a todos, tendrá toda la razón del mundo, pues nosotros cavaremos nuestra propia tumba con nuestras acciones y no podremos culpar a quien decida poner fin a toda nuestra existencia. Es moralmente imposible culpar a alguien de matarnos cuando lo estamos empujando por un acantilado.

Elfen Lied is one of those anime that I can never forget. From its beautiful opening to the entire plot, they are spectacular. I have a very nice memory of this series and I wanted to share it with you.
For those who have not seen it, it is a short series of 13 chapters based on a species called Diclonius produced by a laboratory as a lethal weapon of war. This species has amazing powers and like a kind of horns on the head. The powers are like a kind of invisible arms that are capable of cutting and destroying almost anything.

Esta especie tiene unos poderes asombrosos y como una especie de cuernos en la cabeza. Los poderes son como una especie de brazos invisibles que son capaces de cortar y destruir casi cualquier cosa.
Lucy is the protagonist of this series. The plot begins when Lucy escapes from the laboratory where they did cruel tests killing all the security guards with some bloody scenes that can be especially attractive for boys who like gore.
After Lucy manages to escape from the laboratory she has two personalities, a malevolent one like Lucy and the other childish and naive like Nyu. Being in the infantile phase as Nyu is found by a boy named Kota and protected by him and his cousin Yuka. Both go through many encounters with the Special Assault Team who are responsible for finding Lucy and returning her to the laboratory to continue doing experiments with her.

The strange thing about this series is that it puts seemingly sweet and cuddly characters like Nyu transforming into killer machines. An example of that is Nana, another Diclonius who was not really an assassin but her creator Dr. Kurama assigns her a mission which is to find and bring Lucy back. The fight between these two is impressive but it is something you must see.
This anime is short compared to many others but it is still one of the best I have seen. Your animation is very well done and I imagine it was a somewhat expensive production. The characters are very well done but it is inevitable to pay much more attention to Lucy / Nyu and feel empathy with her.
Kota termina enamorándose de Lucy e intenta protegerla a toda costa pero solo es un chico de 18 años en contra de una organización armada y sin escrupulos. En toda la serie podemos ver escenas románticas, de acción brutal y hasta tierna. Con esto quiero decir que es una serie que lo tiene todo, aparte de una banda sonora hermosa, basta con escuchar el opening.
Lo extraño de esta serie es que pone a personajes aparentemente dulces y tiernos como Nyu transformándose en maquinas asesinas. Un ejemplo de eso es Nana, otra Diclonius que no era realmente una asesina pero su creador el Dr. Kurama le asigna una misión que es buscar y traer de vuelta a Lucy. La lucha de estas dos es impresionante pero es algo que ustedes deben ver.
Este anime es corto en comparación con muchos otros pero no deja de ser uno de los mejores que he visto. Su animacion esta muy bien hecha y me imagino que fue una produccion algo costosa. Los personajes están muy bien hechos pero es inevitable prestar mucha mas atención a Lucy/Nyu y sentir empatía con ella.
She was just a girl who really wanted to be happy. She didn't even know how to speak well, like a two-year-old girl in the body of a teenager but was forced to become a murderer, a war machine by larger interests.
It is also important to say that it is not an anime for children, as it has too violent scenes and sexual innuendos. Of course it is cute in many scenes and kawaii but for the rest it is a rather crude series. I would recommend it more to people who like gore and action.
I do not mean by this that it is the typical bloody series. It is a very original anime that will convey different emotions, love, anger, fear and sadness. In short, it is a fairly complete anime that I recommend with all the enthusiasm in the world.

También es importante decir que no es un anime para niños, ya que tiene escenas demasiado violentas e insinuaciones sexuales. Claro es tierna en muchas escenas y kawaii pero de resto es una serie bastante cruda. Se la recomendaría más a personas que les guste el gore y la acción.
No quiero decir con esto que sea la típica serie sangrienta. Es un anime muy original que nos transmitirá diferentes emociones, amor, ira, miedo y tristeza. En pocas palabras es un anime bastante completo que recomiendo con todas las ganas del mundo.

One of the best, if not the best, of the gore and drama genre, Elfen Lied deciphers the stereotype built on anime, commonly associated with romantic clichés, with superficial dialogues and a story that only pleases pre-teens. Here we find an anime that, although it has all the stereotypes cited, captivates those who seek an efficient drama, with well-constructed arcs, and that doesn't spare red in the massacre scenes.
Uno de los mejores, si no el mejor, del género gore y drama, Elfen Lied descifra el estereotipo construido sobre los animes, comúnmente asociado con clichés románticos, con diálogos superficiales y una historia que sólo agrada a los preadolescentes. Lucy is part of the Diclonius, an evolved race of homo sapiens sapiens, who possess telekinesis and great fighting power. When the girl manages to escape from the laboratory where she was imprisoned, she is received by Kōta and Yuka, two humans who only notice her in her gentle form, known as Nyu. Without any indication about who she is or where she came from, they decide to take her in and let her live with them. However, both Kōta and Yuka end up realizing that an unknown organization is on the trail of Nyu and they will have to deal with the persecutions of the authorities as they struggle with Kōta dark and forgotten past and the mysteries surrounding the Diclonius. And as if that weren't enough, it seems that little by little the true nature of their new friend is coming to the surface again.

In the first sequence, we believe that the anime will be only of death. This is because the first episode is just Lucy running away from the laboratory where she was confined making way for an unknown and lethal power, annihilating all the soldiers around her. However, this vision is distorted by Lucy's split personality which is caused by a sniper's bullet when she was fleeing. She loses consciousness and her body is carried by the tide to a beach. That is where Kōta and Yuka find her, amnesiac and with a dissociative identity disorder: she goes from being the cruel and ruthless Lucy to a harmless and innocent Nyu, a nickname given because it is the only word she says. Lucy awakens an air of sympathy when we meet sweet Nyu. Although this radical change causes immediate discomfort, especially for those who were only expecting blood, the split personality is one of the most important factors in stopping the viewer. On the one hand, we expect Lucy to be captured, after all she is the antagonist, on the other hand we fall in love with Nyu. They are two feelings at the same time, channeled into one single character.
En la primera secuencia, creemos que el anime será sólo de muerte. Esto se debe a que el primer episodio es sólo de Lucy huyendo del laboratorio donde se encontraba recluida haciéndose paso gracias a un desconocido y letal poder, aniquilando a todos los soldados a su alrededor. Sin embargo, esta visión está distorsionada por la doble personalidad de Lucy que es ocasionada por la una bala de un francotirador cuando ella estaba huyendo. Pierde la consciencia y su cuerpo es llevado por la marea hasta una playa. Allí es donde Kōta y Yuka la encuentran, amnésica y con un trastorno de identidad disociativo: pasa de ser la cruel y despiadada Lucy a una inofensiva e inocente Nyu, apodo dado por ser la unica palabra que dice. Lucy despierta un aire de simpatía cuando conocemos a la dulce Nyu. Aunque este cambio radical causa una incomodidad inmediata, especialmente para aquellos que sólo esperaban sangre, la doble personalidad es uno de los factores más importantes para detener al espectador. I think the Elfen Lied animation fits well with the release season. The sets are beautiful too, they are well worked and they are remarkable. Also the soundtrack fits perfectly with the anime, which in itself has a more scary and sad touch, making both aspects, both the animation and the soundtrack, fit well.
Creo que la animación de Elfen Lied se adapta bien a la temporada de lanzamiento. Los decorados son hermosos también, están bien trabajados y son notables. Anime is a very deserving classic, which is supported by well-designed features and a well-thought-out narrative. Although the protagonists are not really the main element, the narratives that involve them easily provide this theme. The only negative point to note is that, unfortunately, Elfen Lied does not last forever.

Hello to all the community of The Anime Realm, I hope you feel great today, today I want to talk about another manga that did not have a good adaptation to the anime, and is that not only his story was cut but also was changed to incredible levels (for me it is along with the adaptation of Gantz have been the most failures), I will try to talk without spoilers (or so I will try) of the manga and anime of Elfen Lied.
Elfen Lied is a horror, gore, and drama manga by Lynn Okamoto and was published in Young Jump magazine in 2002 and contained 12 volumes and a 13-episode anime adaptation (rather short, it must be said) and an ova, which came out in 2004, unfortunately because the manga was still unfinished when it began its adaptation, the story of the manga and anime began to differ greatly from one another from a certain point.

The story takes us to the main character called Lucy a very powerful Diclonius who is captured in a research center in a remote island, is able to escape and massacre most of the members of this center but when she is almost released she suffers a head injury due to a gunshot, this generates in her an episode of Amnesia and is found on the beach by Kouta a kind young man and his cousin Yuka, this manga will show us the interaction that Lucy will have with these two young men and the attempts of the research center to hunt her, besides seeing Lucy's tortuous past and knowing that there is more than one powerful Diclonius like Lucy.
Like the vast majority of manga adaptations that have not yet been completed, the anime does not take into account many important factors of the manga, such as the length and number of vectors of each Diclonius, their personalities, important secondary characters for the story and takes very lightly the personality and development of the main characters and many important facts of the story, in addition to a complete change to more than half of the story.
A factor that should be admitted was a strength of the anime was that it kept the gore that has its manga in addition to its opening is really a masterpiece that expresses very well the personality of Lucy, the opening was made by Kumiko Noma and is named Lilium (I recommend you very personally to listen to it because it really is something incredible).
To add more about this manga would be to make you spoilers as always and as you know is something I hate, but I must make it very clear that it is not a manga for all audiences because in addition to having quite (but seriously enough) big doses it also has a very mature plot that not only deals with the relationships between people but the mistreatment and abuse that people can get just by being different from others, the manga out of its gore content has an excellent plot that makes us feel immediately hooked, i hope you give the manga a chance and if you can't also see the anime (which is really not bad at all) i hope you feel great and see you in a next post.
Hola a toda la comunidad de The Anime Realm, espero que hoy se encuentren genial, hoy quiero hablarles de otro manga que no tuvo una buena adaptación al anime, y es que no solo su historia fue recortada sino que también fue cambiada a niveles increíbles (para mí está junto con la adaptación de Gantz han sido de las que mayores fallas han tenido), trataré de hablarles sin spoilers (o eso intentaré) de el manga y el anime de Elfen Lied.
Elfen Lied es un manga de terror, gore y drama hecho por Lynn Okamoto y fue publicada en la revista Young Jump en el año 2002 y contó con 12 volúmenes y una adaptación al anime de 13 episodios (bastante corta de debe decir) y una ova los cuales salieron en el 2004, lamentablemente debido a qué el manga todavía se encontraba inconcluso cuando empezó su adaptación, la historia del manga y del anime empezó a diferir mucho desde cierto punto.
La historia nos muestra que existe una especie diferente a los humanos llamados Diclonius los cuales poseen pequeños cuernos y unos poderes psicológicos bastante fuertes, los cuales se reflejan en forma de brazos intangibles muy largos (llamados vectores) los cuales son extremadamente fuertes y pueden cortar básicamente cualquier material, lamentablemente todos los especímenes de esta especie son extremadamente psicóticos y con comportamiento violento y en su mayoría suelen ser de sexo femenino (aunque con el pasar de la historia se nos da a entender que esto realmente podría ser debido a el maltrato y abuso que sufren desde temprana edad debido a su especie) la historia nos lleva a la protagonista llamada Lucy una Diclonius muy poderosa que se encuentra capturada en un centro de investigación en una isla alejada, está logra escapar y masacrar a la mayoría de los miembros de este centro pero cuando casi se libera sufre una herida en la cabeza debido a un disparo, esto genera en ella un episodio de Amnesia y es encontrada en la playa por Kouta un joven amable y su prima Yuka, este manga nos mostrará la interacción que tendrá Lucy con estos dos jóvenes y los intentos del centro de investigación de darle caza a esta, además de ver el pasado tortuoso de Lucy y conocer que existe más de un Diclonius poderoso como Lucy.
Cómo la gran mayoría de adaptaciones de mangas que aún no ha concluido, el anime no toma en cuenta muchos factores importantes del manga, como la longitud y cantidad de los vectores de cada Diclonius, sus personalidades, personajes secundarios importantes para la historia y se toma muy a la ligera la personalidad y desarrollo de los personajes principales y de muchos datos importantes de la historia, además de que se realizó un cambio completo a más de a mitad de la historia.
Un factor que se debe admitir fue un punto fuerte del anime fue que se conservo el gore que tiene su manga además de que su opening es realmente una obra maestra que expresa de muy buena forma la personalidad de Lucy, el opening fue hecho por Kumiko Noma y lleva el nombre de Lilium (les recomiendo muy personalmente que lo escuchen ya que en serio es algo increíble).
Agregarles más sobre este manga sería hacerles como siempre spoilers y como ya saben es algo que odio, pero debo dejar muy en claro que no es un manga para todo público ya que además de tener dosis bastante (pero en serio bastante) grandes se gore también tiene una trama muy madura que no solo trata las relaciones entre personas sino el maltrato y el abuso que pueden llegar a recibir personas solo por ser diferentes a otros, el manga fuera de su contenido gore tiene una trama excelente que nos hace sentir enganchados de inmediato, espero que le den una oportunidad al manga y si no también pueden ver el anime (que realmente no es para nada malo) espero que se encuentren genial y nos vemos en un próximo post.
Siguiendo dentro de las series maravillosas que me conseguí mientras me reencontraba con el mundo del animé, me encontré con una grandiosa que me hizo acercarme al género gore y además que está mezclado con la ciencia ficción. Está serie la vi hace unos cinco años y me sigue fascinando. Se trata de Elfen Lied.
¡Una Diclonius ha escapado de su celda y se ha lanzado al mar! Los diclonius son unos seres semejantes a los humanos con la diferencia que tienen unos pequeños cuernos y unos vectores que parecen tentáculos con los que pueden cortar hasto objetos resistentes como piedra y metal. Aunque de apariencia son muy lindas, son completamente peligrosas, están creadas por humanos para destruir a humanos, convirtiéndolos en un arma muy peligrosa. Kaede/Lucy, es encontrada en una playa al día siguiente de lanzarse al mar por Kouta y Yuka, quienes la alojan en su finca y empiezan a llamarla Nyu, porque no recuerda hablar y tiene un carácter y una apariencia bastante tierno. Pero el monstru está allí y cada vez que sale es bastante espeluznante.
La serie está adaptada del manga de Lynn Okamoto y llevada a animé por Mamoru Kambe y El estudio Arms Corporation en el año 2002. Tiene uno de mis opennings favoritos y además es uno de mi animé preferidos en todo el mundo. Les traigo está recomendación que sé que no dejarán pasar y que les aseguro que disfrutarán. Tiene trece capíitulos y un OVA, así que pueden disponer de unas pocas horas para verlo completo.

Nigdy nie byłem fanem anime, jednak zawsze są pewne wyjątki do wyjątków zalicza się Elfen Lied, który moim zdaniem jest jednym z najmroczniejszych a zarazem najsmutniejszych anime jakie powstały w kraju kwitnącej wiśni. Wszystko zaczyna się nie pozornie Kouta wraz z siostrą spacerują po plaży i widza zagubioną dziewczynę.
Która nie mówi boi się i ma małe rogi. Nic nie było by w tym dziwnego gdyby nie fakt, że była naga. Oczywiście Kouta wraz siostrą zabierają ją w bezpieczne miejsce, jednak niezwykle trudno dowiedzieć się kim jest, gdyż prawdopodobnie doznała poważnego uszczerbku na zdrowiu stąd popadła w amnezje.
Postanawiają się nią zaopiekować. I tutaj serial dzieli się na dwie płaszczyzny bo w międzyczasie wojsko zostaje wysłane by zlokalizowali Nyuu( tak o sobie gada bo ciągle powtarza ten wyraz). Nyuu zachowuje się niczym 4 latka uwieziona w ciele dorosłej kobiety. Kiedy Kouta próbuje się czegoś o niej dowiedzieć popada w tarapaty , które powodują, że wszyscy będą zagrożeni. Anime świetnie skupia się na emocjach, gdzie bawi się z widzem raz rzucając śmiesznym żartem a innym masakryczną sceną z biednym pieskiem.
Im bardziej zagłębiamy się w tą początkowo niepozorną historię to coraz bardziej będzie dusić nasze gardła bardzo mroczną historią która będzie odkrywana z odcinka na odcinek. Bo Nyuu nie jest zwyczajna nie bez powodu ma amnezje, nie bez powodu szukają wojsko jest eksperymentem.

Takie pytania będą często towarzyszyły naszemu antagoniście, który nie zawaha się żadnych kroków by Lucy wróciła do laboratorium gdyż jest w jego mniemaniu strasznie niebezpieczną istotą która za pomocą kinezy wysyła niewidzialne macki gdzie tylko chce.

Relacje Lucy i Kouty i to moim zdaniem cała opowieść krąży właśnie w tej relacji bo Lucy jak i Kouta przeżyli ogromny szok w młodości a dorosłość przypomni sobie jednak czy przyjdzie tez wybaczenie
Anime wzrusza , koniec to już czysty wyciskacz łez jeśli ułożycie cała historię to podejrzewam, że furgonetka chusteczek nie wystarczy, wątek który na początku będzie dziwny znajdzie swoje smutne wytłumaczenie.
Polecam obejrzeć mimo że krótkie bo tylko 12 odcinków, jest oparty o mangę pod tym samym tytułem, są lekkie różnice, ale jednak cały główny watek dobrze zachowali twórcy więc to warto dla historii, która może miejscami zbyt wolno się rozkręca, ale za to daje powód by pod koniec ułożyć na spokojnie wszystkie układanki puzzli i otrzymać moim zdaniem prawie idealne anime, które na końcu po prostu eksploduje cała mieszaniną emocji.
Całość komponuje się świetnie, dobrze nakreślone postacie dają powód do polubienia ich, świetnie przedstawione ataki na Lucy tylko umacniają całą pozycje mimo 14 lat na karku to kreska nie odrzuca.
Jeszcze na osobny plus zasługuje wspaniałe intro które tak naprawdę jest modlitwą śpiewanej po łacińsku idealnie komponuje się w całą otoczkę anime jak i grozę i przygnębienie smutek i zal

Sinopsis:La historia comienza con una joven, llamada Lucy, escapando de unas instalaciones de investigación en una isla cercana a la costa de Kamakura en la prefectura de Kanagawa, Japón. Desarmada y desnuda, a excepción de un casco de metal que oculta sus rasgos, consigue salir del recinto tras desmembrar y asesinar a varios guardias y empleados utilizando una especie de poderes sobrenaturales. Momentos antes de escapar, un francotirador le dispara a la cabeza con un fusil de calibre .50, provocándole una herida leve al partir el casco y descubriendo dos protuberancias óseas, como pequeños cuernos, saliendo de su cabeza; tras esto, la joven cae inconsciente por un acantilado y cae al mar.
A la mañana siguiente, un joven llamado Kouta se traslada a Kamakura para comenzar sus estudios en la universidad. Es recibido por Yuka, su prima, que le permite alojarse en una vieja y abandonada posada de su familia a cambio de que la mantenga limpia y cuidada. El pasado de ambos está ensombrecido por las trágicas muertes del padre y la hermana de Kouta cuando eran niños, aunque éste no parece recordar las circunstancias exactas del suceso. Sin saber qué hacer con ella, y a pesar de los extraños cuernos de su cabeza, la llevan a la posada para curarle la herida y cuidarla. A partir de ahi comienza la maravillosa historia de Elfen Lied.
Protagonistas
Lucy/Nyu
Lucy es una joven diclonius de unos 15 años que fue abandonada en un orfanato al nacer. En sus primeros años de vida no manifestó la tendencia homicida propia de su raza aunque, tras verse sometida a varios sucesos traumáticos, acabó desatando sus instintos asesinos. Fue capturada y encerrada en unas instalaciones de investigación cercanas a la costa de Kamakura. Se volvió sádica y cruel, mostrando un completo desprecio hacia los humanos por el trato que recibió en su niñez. Al cabo de varios años logra escapar de las instalaciones pero durante la fuga es herida en la cabeza desarrollando una doble personalidad, Nyu. Al contrario que Lucy, Nyu es una joven inocente y dulce, inofensiva e incapaz siquiera de hablar. Kōta y Yuka la encuentran y deciden acogerla. El cambio en la personalidad dominante se produce al ser atacada, sustituyendo Lucy a Nyu, o al sentir la presencia de Kōta, reemplazando Nyu a Lucy.
Kouta
Kōta es un joven de 18 años que se traslada a Kamakura para comenzar sus estudios en la universidad. Se le permite quedarse en una vieja posada de la familia a cambio de que la mantenga limpia y cuidada. Kōta tiene un pasado traumático pues su padre y su hermana fueron asesinados en su presencia cuando era un niño; como mecanismo de defensa, ha reprimido sus recuerdos convenciéndose a sí mismo de que su padre murió en un accidente de tráfico y su hermana de una enfermedad.4 Debido, en parte, a su pérdida, se ha convertido en un chico amable y protector con las chicas que conoce.
Yuka
Yuka es la prima de Kōta. Tiene su misma edad y ha planeado estudiar con él en la misma universidad. Se traslada a la posada cuando aparece Nyu para evitar que esté con Kōta a solas, pues desde niña ha estado enamorada de él. Sus sentimientos hacia Nyu se debaten entre el cariño que le despierta y los celos por su relación con Kōta.
Mayu
Mayu es una niña de 12 años que ha huido de su casa por los abusos a los que se ve sometida por su padrastro y la indiferencia de su madre ante ello. Vive en la playa con un cachorro que encontró, al que llama Wanta y considera su amigo en vez de su mascota. Se alimentan de las sobras que mendiga en una panadería de la ciudad. Tras el enfrentamiento inicial entre Lucy y Bando, conoce a éste, salvándole de morir desangrado mediante un torniquete. También encuentra el paraguas de Yuka, conociéndola a ella, a Kōta y Nyu al ir a su posada para devolvérselo.
Nana
Nana, también conocida como Número 7, es una joven silpelit recluida desde su nacimiento en los laboratorios de investigación de Kakuzawa para llevar a cabo experimentos de fuerza y resistencia física cercanos a la tortura. A diferencia de otros diclonius, Nana no ha desarrollado un carácter homicida y sádico sino que suele ser pacífica y dulce debido, en gran medida, al cariño que le ha otorgado el director Kurama, al que considera su padre y por el que ha desarrollado una relación de afecto y dependencia.
Dada la capacidad de los diclonius de detectarse entre sí, es enviada a Kamakura para encontrar a Lucy tras su fuga.
