  1. Gotham Knights: Scene of the Crime - Episode 2 - Personal Thoughts@skiptvads1184d

Episode 02 of Gotham Knights was way better than the Pilot, some may call the Pilot Episode 01, none the less on this episode Turner and his crew goes back to the crime scene looking for clues, for his step father last cases because he has to find out why he was killed and then go after the murder.

In this episode the crew starts to get tighter, certain events happen that make them come together, at first there as to be treason for bonding to happen but there are still things that keep bothering me.

    • Too damn dark, does the sun ever come up
    • Over extended scenes, sitting in a car
    • Turner still lacks expression, he is trying
There have been series in the past that have started soft but also have to think who is this series for? because to me it looks like its not for adults, its more for teenagers as they can related better to Turner, the rest of the crew, the music and the rest of the production, critics on internet are very hard coming from hard core fans and I get it, they are expecting some Gotham specs, anything below that benchmark is garbage.

Harvey finds the Batcave and confiscates everything, so far only Turner and his friend Stephanie knew about it, they use the super computer to track who pay Duela and the Row brothers.

    Source

Duela look like pick some interest on Turner, they got into a clothing shop to change theirs and look different to the police description but Robyn shows up, the crew is all over the news as they are the city main target, remember they are identify as Bruce Wayne killers. The clock tower is still their place to hide and plan whats their next step.

After some discussion they got to the conclusion that more clues and evidence is needed for them to prove their innocence, they already know the court of owls is part of the murder but still have not proves why and how, nobody saw the killer, all they have is that they use the gun Duela was ask to recover from Bruce office.

    Source

Looks like detective Ford and his unit have been missing since they ambush Duela and the rest while they were trying to escape, Harvey start calling him and the sound track to a box on his desk, all six head on different boxes at the police office, courtesy by the Court of Owls.

Stephanie gets taken to the police office for interrogation about the Batcave and super computer, Harvey thinks she help turner but she doesn't give him out.

Turner and the crew spend most of the day at the clock tower planing what to do next, its the dark city so they move at night, as he gets risky planing to go back to his step father Bruce office and get his records and diary Duela have that look, she likes this part of Turner, she love been on the edge, after all she is a bit insane too, probably, Joker genetics kicking in.

Climax of this episode comes very fast, the is a long scene where Duela and The Row brothers stay in the car waiting for Robyn and Turner to come back, they were monitoring the alarm system too. This is part of why I think this show is for teenagers, they sit on the car basically talking none sense, Duela is all scare and is going to cross them, the show never explain how this kids hack all this systems out of no where.

    Source

They find Bruce diary with a bookmark to the last page he was reading that talk about how nobody knows who kill their parents, how he kept investigating the Court of Owls for years and nobody have proof of their existence and what looks like a vendetta against the Wayne family, how they kill most of the Wayne family members for years hunting them down. There is also a secret to Turner identity that I have no idea what its about, maybe he is Bruce true son.

    Source

The moment they were picking up on all this clues, the Exterminator arrives, the Court of Owls assassin, the same who killed detective Ford and the other five police in his unit, Turner and Robyn alone cant fight him without any weapons so they try to lock themself in a room, at the same time the Row brothers and Duela debate if help them, when they agree then Duela runs away with the car "Why not, everyone has abandon me" she says and runs away with the car but the Row's stay to help Turner and Roby, they manage to lock the door and escape the building throwing themself out the window with Robyn's cable line that he shoots to a close building, very Batman like thing.

    Source

Another proof this is for Teenagers, Duela acting on her own interest only because nobody have ever get interested on her, tries to sell the watch they took from detective Ford but the exterminator was tracking the watch and her, she ran away and lock herself inside the detective car that the rob, it is bulletproof so the exterminator couldn't get in so he decided to burn it down with her inside.

    Source

The car is burning, Duela is suffocating and cant get out but Turner, Robyn and the Row brothers get in time to fight the Exterminator, Turner as we know is good with the sword but cant fight him alone so Robyn joins the fight in the meantime the Rows get Duela out of the car and they run away after Robyn shoot the Exterminator with some kind of grenade.

They all get back to their hiding after they rescue Duela, she still herself reckless and selfish so I wouldn't count that in the future she will cross them again but at least for now she is closer to Turner since it was his idea to rescue her, its now that Turner took Bruce sword and that's the one shown in the main poster.

    Source

Robyn gets back to her place too but she took some pages of Bruce diary, has to do with what he believes, if someone will see things as he does and what will happen with Turner when he finds out the truth.

The pages I think have to do with who kill Turner parents and if he is related to Bruce, probably anything close to those two ideas, for now I think he is part of Wayne family. Most of the time I will be wrong about this TV shows, I'm not a hard core fan of any of this shows, when I was a kid didn't watch much TV shows or read comics, I was most into sports training 8 hours a day so didn't have time for this hobby, now that I'm older its my hobby and love it, this opinions are my impression and thoughts as I see the show progress without knowing the back story.

This episode felt way better than the first one, I think if Batwoman was able to get 3 seasons out this could turn out to be better, people are just wrong thinking that this has to be as good as Gotham, its not meant for adults, they didn't show Ford head on the box so its not bloody and savage as Gotham, the music during the fights scenes could be better. I like this video, would give it a 7/10.

  2. Gotham Knights: Pilot - Personal Thoughts@skiptvads1191d

I havent seen a Pilot in a long time, this usually are early access episodes that most of the time dont air, Im not sure if this series will move forward or cancel.

Batman Tv Series are hard to perform since its a character with a lot of personality and probably actors turn to over react to get the correct reaction from the audience. I look up on internet and based on a few sites this series is not related to the game which actually didn't have much success.

From the writers of Batwoman Tv Show, his story starts with Batman been killed in a Joker style and in the process four teenagers attempting to steal a gun get involve in the crime, their record is dirty so they are about to go to jail until Batman adopted son gets involve been accused of paying the killer to put down Bruce Wayne for good.

Main Cast: Navia Ziraili Robinson - Carrie Kelley Fallon Smythe - Harper Row Tyler DiChiara - Cullen Row Anna Lore - Stephanie Brown Oscar Morgan - Turner Hayes Olivia Rose Keegan - Duela Misha Collins - Harvey Dent

Bruce Wayne is murdered and his adopted son forges an alliance with the children of Batman's enemies. As the city becomes more dangerous, these mismatched fugitives will become its next generation of saviors, known as the Gotham Knights. Source

Pilot starts with Bruce Wayne adopted son, Turner Hays practicing fencing at school, if you are Bruce's adapted son for sure will be on a fancy school and have time to practice sports as he might follow Batman steps you might think but this story is the opposite for now at least. Turner decided to throw a party at the mansion after his dad couldn't be on his fencing match.

    Source

At the party he met Carrie who knows more about him that he would imagine, Carrie is Robyn on the series just that nobody knows yet. Most of the actors are a bit plane, the one with more expression the one that look more natural is Duela, Jokers son, the rest look like they have no feelings specially Turner and as I mention at first Batman is always full of character, seriousness, criminals fear him and you cant be that acting simple and vague.

    Source

Duela and her crew get paid $100k to steal the gun that kill Bruce Waynes fathers from his office, the moment they get in and found the gun, it was warm like it has recently been use, Duela goes with Harper Row and Culler Row, two brothers that for now I dont have much info but the actors have same problem as Turner, no facial expressions, usually on Batman there are many personalities like Alfred always ultra educated and wize, Joker acting crazy as F every single second like full of energy and about to explode, Robyn been defensive and alert trying to solve the murder or case at hand and so far Duela is the only one that I can tell have some sort of personality.

    Source

As they get the gun look at the window just to find a sign "Your Bat is Dead" in a very Joker style and there are police with helicopters everywhere. Duela and the Row brothers escape and here probably the best scene of the Pilot, watching Duela making reference to best Joker ever Heath Ledger.

    Source

Duela and the Row brothers get into a cop car and run away from the scene, Duela sitting in the back stick her face out of the windows to then trow the cop hat in the air.

    Source

Everything Batman related has so much potential as its a strong story backed by many a few great movies but there are constant failures too as its not easy to get "The Dark Knight" level of perfection when it comes to Batman movies, it has a 9/10 a very high score for any movie and the highest score for Batman content related until the day of this post, but as I mention there are failures like Batman & Robin. The story has a lot of potential but you need great actors to make it come alive, in this case a Tv Series has more slack since actors could get better along the way but its crucial to do it fast as they can get cancel very soon, I dont have too many hopes on this show.

    Source

Suspects escape, Bruce is found dead he got shot and thrown out of his office window, comes Harvey Dent as usual a lawyer who in this case will try to make justice for Bruce and his family, Turner.

    Source

Harvey goes to the Wayne mansion and tells Turner his dad has been murder, Bruce Wayne, Harvey then sits down with him and tells him he will get to the end of this and find out what happen, Turner original fathers were murder too and now Bruce, he also ask Turner if he knew Bruce was Batman and all he does is complain why he was never told, he tries to cry to it look empty I really dont see Oscar Morgan been at the level everyone would expect from Batman son.

In the image above look how his friend Stephanie Brown look astonish as they accidentally discover the Batcave, thats the classic way as in many other scenes on movies but he has no expression at all.

    Source

After Duela and the Row brothers escape they eventually get capture, since the beginning they were frame, someone pay them $100k to be at the crime scene as their intentions were just to steal a famous gun.

Turner goes back to the Batcave with Ana his "best friend" to investigate from where the money came and found out that it came from Turner bank account, they thought to provide this info to the police although the police was already there and got Turner arrested.

    Source

If Turner can get at least to the level of Duela, regards to acting, I think this may have a shot. Keep in mind Im only complaining about the actors and a few things about the story but from what I read online the story is very bad if you are a hard core Batman fan, I have seen most of the movies and Tv Shows but this is a story from the comic books if Im not mistaken so its not that popular among simple mortals like me.

At jail Duela and Row brothers start a fight to get the keys for their handcuffs and latter escape when they get transported somewhere else.

    Source

The plan works out great although there were a few details about the escape scene I didnt like, it was dumb that there was free access from the back of the truck to the driver. Its a bit frustrating that there are details like this considering that the director of the plot is Danny Cannon the same director as Gotham the Tv Series, I know he is not the writer but he could do something about this mistakes.

Not only that Turner is the worst character on the show now he wants to do the right thing and get in the way of Duela making things easy for the cops who are trying to frame them but now Turner made things easy for them and are going to kill them.

    Source

Seconds before they get killed by the cops, Robyn shows up, Carrie Kelley as Robyn, there were some explosions and kicking, effects were good not bad at all so far the music, the surrounding is ok but its Turner and the Row brothers that bother me as their acting is not good. Im not expecting this to be at Gotham level, this is Gotham for teenagers so Im fine with it be like that.

Robyn saves them and talk to Turner about his dad, how she became Robyn and how much Bruce love him, this calm him down and stop btching about it.

    Source

They all escape and then hide at a clock tower, start discussing how they can clean up their name but in the meantime Harvey tells the press that they are all fugitives. Cullen stole a watch from one of the cops, the watch has the symbol of the Court of the Owls, this is the elite group that runs Gotham they are the ones who kill Bruce most likely for power and control the city, Duela is the only one that knows about them and try to explain the rest that its no joke.

The pilot was ok ish, a bit boring but I guess some series are like that at first, I hope it gets better and as I mention the only thing that really got me is how the main character is so boring, the sound and effects are good and the few actions scenes were not bad and my opinion comes just from an entertaining point of view since I can not tell if the story is just as the comics not sure if its even the story is the exact plot as the game with the same name. The initial score is very bad but the game as far as I know was not great neither.

This series is probably one that would prefer to watch latter on instead of been disappointed on the first episodes, just let the season finish and watch it on a single weekend.
