Review - Harley Quinn temporada 4 y 5@genesishealthy402d
Hello! 💙
Taking advantage of a whole day off I decided to do a marathon of this series, which had been on hiatus for the last two seasons, and I must say that it still maintains its characteristic humor, which parodies all the DC comics characters, and is still perfect because you can almost watch it at any time without any problem, I do feel that after a third season that was a little weak I feel that the fourth and fifth get to recover quite the humor of the series.
I also do not know if it is due to the pause I made to the series but if I can say that this fourth and fifth season left me a good taste in my mouth especially the fifth season that I feel that the level of the series with respect to the DC comics universe seen through this particular humor, there is even a moment at the end of the fifth season that can make you cry or sadden you by how well written it is.
I can only say how impressive it is that the character Harley Quinn has not gone out of fashion at any time, and the truth is that this series is responsible for reaffirming how amazing it can be, if you have not yet had the opportunity to see this series I highly recommend it, it already has five seasons and it is truly one of the best animated comedy series for adults that currently exists.
Hello everyone, dear community, lover of good entertainment, I hope you are very well today, on this occasion I will share with you today my opinions and criticisms about the animated series of Harley Quinn. This series was released a few years ago and has achieved quite popularity, although there are still people who judge this series without having seen it, labeling it as unnecessary, but the truth is that in my opinion it is one of the most interesting and funniest DC Comics productions that have been made in recent years. This series is a real delight for lovers of black humor and DC superheroes, from the first episode the series marks very clearly that it is not a typical series and shows its real tone, it is completely out of the conventional molds and offers us a very irreverent vision of the entire DC universe.
The first thing that stands out of course is the tone, this is an adult comedy, that is, only for adults, as it has a lot of black humor, graphic violence and explicit language... elements that immediately establish that this is not a series for children. Harley Quinn is the protagonist of this crazy world, and I feel she is a perfect character for this type of production, in this series Harley is separated from the Joker from the first episode, and this is brilliant allows this character to shine by herself, she does not depend on other characters to assert her protagonic role... we explore her personal development and all her aspirations, without being the constant shadow of the clown prince of crime, this is a version of Harley that I found very funny and crazy.
The plot begins when Harley is rushed and realizes that the Joker will never rescue her from Arkham, this mainly due to the influence of her friend Poison Ivy, this awakening drives her to be a better villain and stop being just a shadow of her pudding.... The series takes us through Harley's adventures as she seeks to be taken seriously, she wants to join the Legion of Evil and become a more important member of Gotham's criminal world, this journey is very chaotic as the character herself, it is full of absurd situations and moments of quite humor...
Later Harley realizes that she needs a team and this is where the secondary characters also shine, obviously we have to include Poison Ivy who is the perfect partner for Harley, she manages to balance her chaotic personality having a calmer and more rational perspective... we also see included characters like Clayface, Dr. Psycho and King Shark who are also included in the story. Psycho and King Shark who add a rich variety of personalities and dynamics to the new team, all of them are very funny, each one has their own story and development and of course provide great scenes of humor... using the same genre of superheroes and pop culture to make much more emphasis on all the black humor and satire itself of the chapters, the jokes are super sharp and commonly make fun of all these clichés of the genre that are already so well known. This series doesn't just stop at being a simple parody but also has moments of real heart that allows it to really emphasize with these characters.
As for the visual aspects, the animation of this series is vibrant and full of energy, I feel that it captures in a very good way all the crazy and overflowing essence of what Harley Quinn is... The action scenes are well done and choreographed, they are as violent as they are entertaining, fitting perfectly with the overall tone... the art direction also stands out in some episodes for mixing the grotesque with the humorous in a way that few animated series do... this is good as it doesn't abruptly overdo the gore to satisfy. As the episodes progress, we see how this character has to face various challenges to grow, we will see her relationship with Poison Ivy evolve, showing how healthy and meaningful a relationship without abuse can be, something that contrasts perfectly in the previous relationship Harley had with the Joker.
Also, the series doesn't limit itself to just random action and gore, but weaves a main story that progresses little by little in the chapters...the second season I feel expanded much more on what this world is, plunging Gotham into constant chaos, we are shown many more villains and the narrative is still kept dynamic and entertaining. They also add new subplots that make the viewer never lose interest... I think they handled the idea of the story in a very good way, because although the episodes may seem illogical, as they are seen one after another, they leave clues that there is a story behind everything.
Among the aspects I liked the most about the series is the development of its characters, at least Harley and Poison Ivy. These characters are quite complex, more than many could imagine, both have their own goals and conflicts. The series gives them the space to be strong, but also to be vulnerable, we can see how their relationship gets stronger and how, even if they fight, they will always in the end want the welfare of the other.... As for the criticisms that this series could be receiving, I don't understand them, I guess many people find it hard to watch a production starring a female character, because they unquestionably label it as feminist or unnecessary, when it doesn't have to be like that...
This is a series that can entertain you a lot, it manages an acid humor that I personally love, I think it tries to extract the essence of animated series for adults like American Dad, Family Guy, etc.. and mixes it with a context of the DC superheroes world, I found that quite unique and funny... I think for those who want to enjoy a good comedy, the series will be quite enjoyable... This Harley Quinn animated series, although it is already being quite recognized and has three seasons and the fourth will be released very soon, is a proof that not everything that is considered different or out of the ordinary has to be bad, even the series itself makes fun in many occasions of the haters itself and it is something that I find quite funny. I think it's a pretty entertaining series, with a cast of characters that manage to amuse you a lot, and an interesting narrative.
Also, it's a lot of fun to see the DC superheroes in a way never seen before, focused more on comedy than seriousness... I think it's something very different in the superhero genre and I think that's why it manages to distinguish itself so much, this series was one of the first productions that were made on the old DC UNIVERSE platform, and the way it has been received I think is a proof of the great quality it has... I give it a 9/10 rating. It's a series that will surely make you laugh, it's good to watch and de-stress a bit. Ideal for fans of DC superheroes who want to laugh for a while and distract themselves from adult life... I'll leave the trailer below. I hope you are well, take care...see you in the next reviews, bye bye.

›Harley Quinn | The future is female and evil@jauregui98881d
Last week while I had a fever most of the day and didn't feel like anything, all I could do was lay in bed staring at the ceiling, so I decided to watch Harley Quinn finally. I had no trouble at all paying attention to it because it's so straightforward, yet very raunchy, enough to watch it without showing any emotion. After all, I was trying not to die of fever. That's the wonder of this kind of series, you don't have to think at all, just keep your eyes open facing the screen and that's enough to understand and enjoy what's going on.
This series already has four seasons, and they better make a fifth, because if not the world will burn, so I'll try not to make so many spoilers. The series begins with Harley getting fed up with always being behind the Joker, so she asks him to be her partner in evil, not just her henchman, the Joker says no, sends her to her death, once again, and she ends her relationship with him, kicking off a giant series of events that will reinvent Harley Quinn as the world knew her, wanting to carve out her name and reputation without having to depend on anyone.
In the middle of the wind fever of this series I had two thoughts, the first thought was something along the lines that the series was just what I needed to be in a kind of catatonic state where I didn't show to be aware of living even if I had my eyes open; the second thought is still making me laugh right now, it was about Harley being completely unbearable, shrill, and that Kaley Cuoco did an excellent job giving life to Harley, because the voice was too perfect for a character as unstable and irritating as Harley Quinn.
Yes, no one has any doubt, that Harley is one of the most unstable and irritating in this series, plus it fits her well, any other personality would have been wrong, they did it perfectly. I see this series as if they had taken the supporting character from another series, a supporting character that people love and adore, even if almost everything is wrong with the character, they make him the main character of his series, but if he had no sidekicks, no other characters to balance the scales, the series would be a total disaster, but it is thanks to Poison Ivy, Clayface, King Shark, Dr. Psycho, that the series is a total success.
The series is called Harley Quinn, and it's about Harley Quinn, but I don't think the character makes my top five favorite characters, well, maybe the top five, but not the top three. My top three favorite characters are Poison Ivy, King Shark, and Bane. Those three characters were the ones who gave me the most laughter and joy during the fever hours of watching the series. Ivy is the best of them all, no one beats her at anything, well, in the series they do beat her, but as a character, she has no one to match her.
One of the special things about this kind of series is that the story can have all the plot holes it can have, and it would still be a very good series. Each season itself has very good stories and outstanding developments, but as a whole, many things fail, but they don't matter in the least.
The first season is a total madness, the second season is a disaster of madness, the third season is a reasonable madness, and the fourth season is an implausible madness. Harley's evolution, as well as that of the other characters, is noticeable with each passing chapter, but Harley is still Harley despite all the changes she gets to have, it's crazy how well they did the character, for her to change so much and remain the same as always.
As I'm not going to leave you the trailer of the fourth season, I will leave you the trailer of the first, which summarizes very well everything we can expect from the series, total madness, full of bad words, lots of blood, more than you expect, resulting in a very good series that makes us laugh even at the most insignificant things that we will get to see.

𝙷𝚊𝚛𝚕𝚎𝚢 𝚀𝚞𝚒𝚗𝚗 𝙼𝚘𝚟𝚒𝚎𝚜
FULL ENGLISH VERSION
Happy New Year to the entire #MoviesAndTVShows community! hope you had a great time! and well as the year begins, I want to take advantage of it more than to share my opinion on the performance of Margot Robbie as 𝙷𝚊𝚛𝚕𝚎𝚢 𝚀𝚞𝚞𝚒𝚗𝚗, I also want to inaugurate my new banners and formats that will have my posts for this new year that begins. So I am making my debut with you.
That being said, you can already tell I'm a big fan of 𝙷𝚊𝚛𝚕𝚎𝚢 𝚀𝚞𝚞𝚒𝚗𝚗𝚗, and this year I've taken it seriously to create my character on the #Hive #Blockchain.
And is that 𝙷𝚊𝚛𝚕𝚎𝚢 𝚀𝚞𝚒𝚗𝚗𝚗 has a lot to give, she is my favorite DC Comics character and for me she is someone I admire (although she is fictional), I look more at her strengths than the bad, so I see her more as a heroine or a misunderstood villain who has deep down a good side.
As for the performance given by the beautiful Margot Robbie in the three film installments that I will be unpacking little by little, although it cannot be considered a trilogy, these three films are intertwined in some way.
I had very high expectations when I saw this film for the first time and before the end of the year 2023 I wanted to marathon these three films. For me, the first one is the best of them all. The director shows us several characters that stand out in the film but he lets out only 4 of them which are Deadshot (Will Smith), Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), Amanda Waller (Viola Davis) y June Moone (Clara Delevingne).
But of all who stood out the most here was Harley Quinn, from start to finish, Margot Robbie makes a spectacular interpretation of his character, giving it a touch quite crazy, schizophrenic, in love, risky, and above all unafraid to live on the edge.
One of the things I like most about this particular character is that she knows she's crazy but accepts herself as she is and ignores what others think of her. For his part, I can't leave out Will Smith, I loved seeing him as the superhero/villain, I thought he did an excellent job, and Viola Davis along with Cara Delevingne as villains were amazing, but I'm more inclined to Viola's performance in recognizing her high-quality work as Margot's. I give it 🌟🌟🌟🌟 and 1/2 out of 5 Little Stars.
When Birds of Prey came out my interest was held from the beginning, as besides having an excellent quality of actresses as co-stars, I mainly wanted to see Ewan McGregor as the villain and boy did he do a great role with his performance. However, I will admit that I was hoping for a little more evil and seriousness with his role and not just show his character as an evil mobster at times.
I should note that Jared Leto's performance as Joker sucked. To me, he made a fool of himself and I was happy not to see him in this film or the second part of Suicide Squad. And the Harley Quinn that Margot provided in this film and the first one, was too big for Jared and by A LOT! And I'm a huge fan of Leto's music and acting work, but being the Joker* was the worst role of his life.
And although this film has funny and somewhat crazy scenes, for me it was very well elaborated, the plot they developed was great, they left nothing unfinished, and the fight scenes and action with the guns were masterful, for me, Margot surpassed herself in this second installment. And of course! how could she not surpass herself if she was also one of the Producers of the film? For me, she has 🌟🌟🌟🌟 of 5 Stars.
We got to the third installment of Margot Robbie as 𝙷𝚊𝚛𝚕𝚎𝚎𝚎𝚗 𝙵𝚛𝚊𝚗𝚌𝚎𝚜 𝚀𝚞𝚒𝚗𝚣𝚎𝚕 and for me, it was done again by this actress. She played her role outdoing herself and the truth for me this movie was the worst of all, it started as a joke and ended as a joke, I only liked some scenes where they worked "seriously".
I liked seeing John Cena and Idris Elba joining this universe as superheroes/villains, but for me who saved the film was undoubtedly and by far: 𝙷𝚊𝚛𝚕𝚎𝚢 𝚀𝚞𝚒𝚗𝚒𝚗𝚗. And is that this movie has for my taste, excess of Gore scenes and very few action scenes. For me, it has 🌟🌟 of 5 Little Stars. I saw it was to see Margot Robbie again as 𝙷𝚊𝚛𝚕𝚎𝚢 𝚀𝚞𝚒𝚗𝚗𝚗 with his version of Red & Black which is my favorite.
Me encantaría leerte.
Hasta una próxima publicación! Saludos!
›First Impressions on 'Harley Quinn': An "adult" animated series that actually works@namiks1027d
I often ramble on about how disappointing the world of animation can be for anyone that wants to watch something a little more serious in the sense that it has some actual adult themes and events. I have mentioned in the past that the world of supposed adult cartoons tends to be obnoxious and disappointing as a result. As if to justify its existence by being mostly incoherent and riddled with jokes that scream in your face every few seconds. It's difficult to find animations that consider themselves more for an adult audience without being something that struggles to take into consideration any actual narrative, and it can be really frustrating sometimes. But, for once, there's an instance in which some of this actually works. And I believe this is in the case of rather famous DC character Harley Quinn. Now, this is a lot for me to say, as someone that admittedly has very little experience with superhero works and has mostly avoided them as if they're a highly contagious plague. For the most part, I continue to do so in regards to the live action works. But this? It seems pretty good.
I won't pretend I know a lot about the character of Harley Quinn. From what I know, she's some sort of villainous counter character to Batman, more known for her independent nature that seems colourful but highly dangerous. I could be completely wrong here, so forgive me! But, in this animation series, Harley Quinn is the focus surrounded by various, from what I assume, other villainous comic book characters. Again, I won't pretend as if I know all of their names or what they're known for. This will take much more time and effort! This series contains many of them, and their various chaotic acts as villains lacking intelligence but with plenty of ambition. Taking some interest from that very obnoxious wave of cartoons but utilising it under a character in which it actually fits and is justified. It's pretty surprising to see, actually. As I always assumed DC would also cater to the widest possible demographic with their creations. At a glance, I actually assumed this was the case, as the screenshots I had seen around looked tame, very typical of modern animation. And not like it had something more to it behind the surface. I decided to give it a go out of curiosity, assuming the worst of it, expecting something painfully childish that would have me question my life choices.
Perhaps I still did, but for unrelated reasons. As Harley Quinn has been pretty fun to watch so far!
Harley Quinn
I quite like stories that focus around villains. It seems like a very niche genre and one that I have mentioned before, being quite ripe in its ability to tell unique stories that allow the audience to not just learn about a villain and their ways, but the foundations to the person behind the villainous title. I don't think we see enough of this, and the only two real examples I can think of are Chronicle and Joker. Perhaps there are more, but as I mentioned: I definitely don't have much experience with this stuff! Perhaps there are more comics focused on this area, but in the world of television and film, it's a very empty space. Giving an audience a deeper look that allows them to sympathise with a character that they're supposed to dislike and not root for at all, it makes these characters a lot more interesting. Even if it's simply learning of their troubled youth, or perhaps the cracks in society that have let them down. But in no means is this Harley Quinn show highly serious and deep, at least this far. There are currently four seasons of the show with the fourth airing at the moment, so I can't yet say whether this has the potential to get serious and come to an end anytime soon or not.
The animation so far doesn't seem like it's anything far out of the ordinary for modern standards. It seems like the usual style we have come to notice when it comes to most creations these days. In some ways this is a little bit of a letdown, given the characters have very established styles over the years from many different artists, and a more generic style seems a bit lazy. Perhaps this is me just having stupidly high expectations when really I should learn to relax a bit more. I admit that the style doesn't necessarily have anything wrong with it, but sometimes you can notice that the characters surrounding Harley Quinn could have a bit more detail to them. Perhaps this is a result of a cheaper budget that lets the creators handle more characters at once while focusing on the action sequences here and there. This show does like to utilise quite the number of characters in different episodes, and sometimes I have noticed that they have a bit more quality to their designs than others.
I think the show makes up for it with humour, though! Given this has a more adult approach to it, the jokes are naturally a bit more adult. But, I'm incredibly happy to say, the show doesn't take on endless vulgarity. Instead, the jokes are often just darker. I found one joke in particular quite funny: detectives using the bat sign that sits above the buildings to call Batman over just to talk to him about divorce problems. Batman, of course, being confused about this and having to remind him it's not just to talk but to save lives. It's moments like this that are actually funny, showing the existing struggles of its characters over endless vulgarity that other "adult" animations throw out. Alongside this, the show doesn't shy away from showing the violent actions of villains, allowing for more gory moments. These are often thrown into comedic narratives that show how out of touch characters like Harley Quinn are, how desperate villains are to get seen and noticed by others. Including being picky about what sort of villain lair she wants to rent. That said, there's plenty of cursing, as one would expect.
Each episode so far seems to be a different story. Showing the chaos of the characters and their lives. Their various mischievous acts they get up to, as well as the more human aspects of their lives to which they have to adapt and problem solve, of course in their own strange manners. I'm really digging it so far, which is a huge surprise to me given I truly expected to hate it. I'm quite glad that each episode is different, not telling a specific narrative. I don't think I'd enjoy it as much if it did have a linear narrative. Part of the joy for me really is just getting a bit of a familiarity with these characters and not getting overwhelmed with the more serious side to it all. Perhaps this can be the gateway into some comics for me!
As for whether this seems like something a typical DC or Marvel fan might enjoy, I have no idea. You may have seen all the films and then hate this. Whereas it may be the opposite for me. But I think if you're tired of the current trend of, and I put them in quotations again, "adult" animations, this might fill that space with something a bit more serious, but also silly and entertaining.
As I mentioned in a previous review, Harley Quinn as a character has gained more relevance due to the DC movies. It is in this that an animated series came out in 2019. It is written and produced by Justin Halpern, Patrick Schumacker and Dean Lorey. I've seen it on HBO+. It has 3 seasons, I've seen the first one.

The animation, while nothing seen before, is fluid. The other technical aspects such as sounds, voices, etc; has an acceptable role.
Overall it's an animated series for adults that entertains, if you're looking for black humor, violence and known DC characters. My goal is to watch the rest of the seasons.
A couple of days ago I was telling you a little bit about the first episodes of the third season of Harley Quinn, a rather particular series that was born as an exclusive project for the defunct DC streaming platform (Universe), but which later ended up on HBO Max.
Harley Quinn took several of the most iconic characters in the Batman universe today and showed us a fresh perspective on them that, to be honest, no live action series or movie would even bother to execute.
Of course, we must recognize that here we are not facing an animated master piece that seeks to break with the paradigms of the format, on the contrary, Harley Quinn constantly gloats in its own simplicity and knows how to intelligently take advantage of the small strengths of it.
The last episodes of the third season insist on continuing the ideas that were established at the beginning, taking us by the hand on a journey where Harley must not only clearly define what she feels for the rest of the characters that surround her, but also how she identifies in a world where the status quo has been radically altered.
With Poison Ivy taking on an increasingly leading role (Brilliant considering how well built her relationship with the Dr. Quinnzel is), Harley Quinn season 3 dedicates a good portion of its footage to challenging our perception of everything that it takes to be a hero or a villain, creating organic conflicts and taking advantage of our empathy as spectators.
To achieve this curious goal, two constant elements are used: Irony and satire as cornerstones, this version so intrinsically "humorous" of the DC universe takes all our previous knowledge to twist it, creating a product that can feel simultaneously as a mockery and a respectful tribute.
From the exaggeration of Bruce Wayne's traumas with the death of his parents to a self-aware criticism of the toxic nature of the relationship between the Joker and Harley, Harley Quinn for HBO Max is a series that manages to pack a lot of substance into its short duration and that it has all the potential in the world to continue standing for another couple of years.
The animation is excellent and the +18 rating is used to the maximum, the voice casting is varied and entertaining, and although not all of his jokes land properly, they complement each other, giving us a much more than entertaining experience. I'm looking forward to seeing what the next seasons hold for us.
Beyond characters like Batman or quite isolated stories like Watchmen, I have never exactly been the biggest fan of DC, despite the fact that they have always had very good quality television series and a couple of excellent movies, what can I say? I grew up on Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy, the animated series that aired on FOX Kids, and I could hum the X-Men theme for hours.
Years go by and things change, Marvel could be classified as the largest entertainment franchise today but I feel that it is a condition that involves many sacrifices, the appreciation in the most mainstream sector of the market is often won at the expense of the quality and artistic integrity of each individual work, and over time the interest of many fans naturally wanes.
On the other hand, DC's quality is quite inconsistent, we can't deny it, the cinematic universe that Zach Snyder started almost a decade ago with Man of Steel seems like it never took off properly and the series produced by the CW in live action refuse to die with dignity despite the fact that they have years in decline.
Ironically, these problems, which could be attributed to a lack of focus, have forced DC Comics and all of Warner Brothers to change the strategy with which their various properties are often approached, leaving aside the desire to unify everything based on a much more liberal and creative environment where each series or movie is dedicated to much more than telling a quality story, regardless of how it connects with the rest of its expanded universe: The Joker, The Suicide Squad, The Batman, Birds of Prey or the recent Peacemaker series are great examples.
Within this philosophy arises Harley Quinn, an irreverent animated series exclusive to HBO Max that has been running for three seasons to date and that has done nothing but catch me.
At its core, Harley Quinn is a crude but passionate deconstruction of the DC universe, presented from an unusual angle that focuses much more on the development and internal conflicts of her characters than on showing us traditional action.
Beyond its overtones of adult comedy, the true strength of this third season lies in its ability to take its own protagonists into situations where their thoughts are more interesting than anything else.
Throughout the previous two seasons we have seen Harley locked in a toxic relationship with the Joker, a dynamic that is often shown recurrently in film and television but is rarely approached with genuine empathy, we see how she overcomes this state so self-destructive and decides to seek refuge both in herself and in other people, something similar to what was shown in the Birds of Prey tape but that here would be developed much more extensively.
Harley Quinn has everything we've come to expect, there are moments of extreme violence, loud and subtle references to DC lore, and an extremely uninhibited nature that makes us feel like anything can happen.
She may not feel that interesting on paper, but every second is worth it.
A new season of Harley Quinn, this parody of the world of DC comics in general for adults and especially the world of Batman, the series leaves us right where the second season left us, and begins with a fairly strong first episode, with lots of comedy and gore, but already reaching the rest of episodes there is a constant tug of war between comedy and drama, which is not badly handled but many who expected to see a pure comedy series, maybe it can annoy them, and this season takes less seriously its own universe, even breaking with the logic itself, like watching Harley go by bus without anyone looking for her to catch her, and ok you can overlook it because it is a comedy, but you have moments of drama with the relationship of Poison Ivy and Harley, then you do not know when something can be serious and when not.
But I can say that now it has many more winks to the DC universe for the real fans, even some social criticism especially in chapter 3, the series is still entertaining but in my opinion it falls a little compared to its spectacular second season, I feel that the series has trouble regaining the flight, it does not end up being bad but not better than the previous one, and of course we must clarify that the expectations with this series have been rising as it came to have a large number of fans during its first and second season.
What can you expect in this season, more comedy, more drama, more gore, but it's more of the same, if you already liked the previous seasons and you were a fan of the series or you are a fan of DC you will love it, but if you are someone who expects to see something bigger than the previous two seasons, well you won't get it, I think it's a series to watch one episode a day or between your free time.
I started watching this series on the eve of Batman Day! and I must confess that even though I love everything related to the DC animated universe, or at least most of it, since in my humble opinion it is much better elaborated compared to the most recent live actions, I have to say that I am pleasantly surprised with this series.
I have loved each and every episode, I love the combination of humor and drama and that the show doesn't take itself too seriously. And that way it tells the origin of many characters we already know including of course Harley herself.
Another thing that I have to highlight is the cast, Kaylie Cuoco does the voice of our protagonist, and from my point of view I think she does a great job, because it brings a lot of joy and that touch a little malevolent with his interpretation. Undoubtedly this is not a series where we simply see the rise of a villain as it goes a little further there is also wants to show us a more human side of each character, their goals, their fears and their personal growth under a very humorous perspective.
I have been taking advantage of the arrival of HBO Max to Latin America to review some series and put myself in front of others that if it weren't for the convenience of streaming I would never have seen.
One of the projects that fits perfectly in this second category is Harley Quinn, an exclusive series of the platform that exploits the character and a considerable part of the DC universe from a very interesting point of view.
The truth is, I started this series totally unaware of what I was going to see, I only knew that it was exclusive and that it had adult content. Today, after having watched most of the first season I would like to share with you several thoughts about it.
My first impressions of Harley Quinn can be summarized as confusing, not because its concept is bad but because if it catches you distracted its execution can take you off base, the good thing is that after a while, when the ideas settled in my head I started to enjoy everything with extreme ease.
Wrapped in very good quality (which is no surprise seeing the people involved: Warner always delivers very good products in the animated plane), Harley Quinn is a 2019 series that currently has two seasons and tells the story of how Harley looks to become independent not only in a loving plane (When leaving a toxic relationship with the Joker) but as a whole supervillain.
This formula that we have already seen in movies like the recent Birds Of Prey is carried with great skill, drawing on all the mythology of the DC universe and Batman specifically to deliver a competent and respectful work.
Although the sometimes exaggeratedly vulgar tone can distract the most conservative viewers (I include myself here) it is undeniable that it makes total sense within the series and complements most of its narrative very well; Becoming since the time of the animated series of the 90s one of the best representations of Harley, along with works such as the Arkham saga or the same (in my opinion) Birds of Prey.
It's funny that several of the best products in the DC universe are animated, but getting a bit analytical shows why: Harley Quinn uses the medium to her advantage, mixing dark humor with drama and creating a set of rules that goes a long way. very interesting dynamics.
The lack of seriousness that characterizes it of her ends up feeling like a breath of fresh air, totally necessary in a market full of dark and edgy ribbons that seek to capture the roots of the bat in the gothic.
Harley prefers to have fun and the HBO Max series is much more reminiscent of something like Archer (FX) than the snyder-verse or the infamous Suicide Squad.
I still have a lot to see but the results are more than pleasant, with a great cast that brings together several well-known faces (I highlight Kaley Cuoco as Harley Quinn) and good quality animation, we are facing a simple and great series, which can seem a bit aggressive and vulgar to some, but it is effective.
It is worth it for many reasons but I feel that everyone must see it to understand why.

In 2nd season, Gotham City has become isolated from the rest of the United States, allowing the newly-formed Injustice League to take over Gotham's ruins and divide it between them. After they refuse to let Harley join, she works with her crew to take them down one by one in order to claim Gotham for herself, in the process unwittingly inspiring Barbara Gordon to become Batgirl. Meanwhile, both the Joker and Batman are revealed to have survived, the former now sane and with no memory of his old self while the latter, unable to fight crime due to his injuries, names Batgirl his temporary replacement as Gotham's defender until he recovers. Following the Injustice League's defeat, Commissioner Gordon restores order to Gotham while Harley begins to develop feelings for Ivy.
Harley Quinn is a relatively new series by DC Universe (Streaming platform) that started airing late December and ended up its 13 episode season run couple of days ago. If you are a big fan of movies like deadpool or black comedy in general i do highly recommend taking a peek at Harley Quinn.
It's been a while since ive been this impressed by American Animated series. I think its really solid in multiple aspects like character writing, character arcs, comedy writing and action sequences are also well animated.
It doesn't really have any weak points outside from the soundtrack which i found very lackluster and forgettable. I mean most of the times you didn't have any music playing just dialogue and jokes (To be fair comedies don't need strong soundtracks, but at least make catchy theme song).
Also maybe some feminist undertones that could potentially ruin the series if they really want to play that card over and over again, but seeing how this first season ended i think we gonna see different dynamics in the 2nd season which will be starting in april this year.
But give a closer look guys.. Thanks for checking the video out as well, ill see you soon again :)
