After several days of thinking and procrastinating, I finally decided to make the next post of my Anime Challenge, which corresponds to a review of the anime Inuyashiki - Last Hero.

Inuyashiki is an anime released in 2017 in which we will meet Inuyashiki Ichiro, an older adult whose boring life as an office worker and with the indifference of his family is coming to an end due to a newly diagnosed advanced cancer, and Shishigami Hiro, a seemingly normal and kind teenager but who is a bit unhinged.

After the accident in the park, a series of murders is unleashed in the city in which there is no clue about the possible culprit and the only thing they have in common is that it is the same modus operandi: the murderer enters a house and kills all the members of the family without any remorse. Apparently, the murderer uses a firearm, but no traces of gunpowder or bullet casings are found at the crime scene, which complicates the search for the culprit.

I don't want to go on talking about the details of the anime because I don't want to make spoilers, but I can already tell you that if you like stories with crime, murder, science fiction and superheroes, in this series you will find it all.

No quiero seguir hablando sobre los detalles del anime porque no quiero hacer spoiler, pero desde ya les puedo adelantar que si te gustan las historias con crimenes, asesinatos, ciencia ficción y superhéroes, en esta serie lo encontrarás todo.

I can say that it is not a series for children, as there are quite graphic scenes in which several indiscriminate murders of innocent people are shown, so I would not recommend it for a child audience, although it seems to me that there would be no problem with a teenage audience.

Puedo decir que no es una serie para niños, ya que hay escenas bastante gráficas en las que se muestran varios asesinatos indiscriminados de personas inocentes, por lo que no lo recomendaría para un público infantil, aunque me parece que no habría problemas con un público adolescente.

Although I'm not a fan of 3D animation, they make very good use of CGI throughout the series. Obviously there are occasional mistakes in several episodes, you can't expect perfection, but MAPPA did a very good job with this anime.

Aunque no soy fan de la animación 3D, hacen un muy buen uso del CGI a lo largo de toda la serie. Obviamente hay errores ocasionales en varios episodios, no se puede esperar la perfección, pero MAPPA hizo un muy buen trabajo con este anime.

I didn't pay much attention to the soundtrack, or at least I don't remember it at all, so I guess it's not worth mentioning much, except for the opening "My Hero" by the band MAN WITH A MISSION, which I liked a lot and I'll share it below.

No presté mucha atención a la banda sonora, o al menos no la recuerdo del todo, por lo que supongo que no vale mucho la pena hacer mención a la misma, salvo al opening "My Hero" de la banda MAN WITH A MISSION, el cual me gustó bastante y les comparto acá abajo.

I found the plot development a bit messy: sometimes slow, sometimes very fast, making it a bit confusing at times and hard to understand what is going on.

El desarrollo de la trama me pareció un poco desordenado: a veces lento, a veces muy rápido, por lo que a veces resulta un poco confuso y cuesta entender lo que está pasando.

In terms of character development, I think it is very good in terms of Inuyashiki Ichiro, because although we are given to understand that he is a good person with a strong sense of justice from the beginning, it is shown how he discovers and learns to control his powers.

En cuanto al desarrollo de personajes, me parece que es muy bueno en cuanto a Inuyashiki Ichiro, porque aunque nos dan a entender que es una buena persona y con un fuerte sentido de la justicia desde el inicio, se muestra cómo descubre y aprende a controlar sus poderes.

Unlike Shishigami Hiro, who from the beginning has full control of his powers and uses them indiscriminately to harm others. However, while I liked that it tries to show that Hiro has "a God complex" for being able to do whatever he wants without being caught, they don't show his motivations or the causes of his behavior, implying that he's simply a mentally challenged kid (maybe psychopath or sociopath) and makes his character feel a bit empty.

A diferencia de Shishigami Hiro, quien desde el inicio tiene control total de sus poderes y los usa indiscrimidamente para hacer daño a los demás. Sin embargo, aunque me gustó que se intenta demostrar que Hiro tiene "complejo de Dios" por poder hacer lo que quiera sin ser descubierto, no muestran sus motivaciones o las causas de su comportamiento, dando a entender que simplemente es un chico con problemas mentales (quizás psicópata o sociópata) y hace que su personaje se sienta un poco vacío.

I won't say too many details about the ending of the series because I don't like to do spoilers, but I must say that it left me with a rather bittersweet taste. I'll just say that, although the story's conflict is resolved at the end, it's not what you'd normally expect in a story of this type.

No diré muchos detalles sobre el final de la serie porque no me gusta hacer spoilers, pero debo decir que me dejó un sabor bastante agridulce. Solo diré que, aunque al final se resuelve el conflicto de la historia, no es lo que se espera normalmente en una historia de este tipo.

To conclude, I would like to say that although I recognize that the series has its ups and downs, it presents a very interesting plot and is quite entertaining, with good quality animation in general, and although the ending was perhaps a bit rushed, it manages to get across the message that the author wants to express, so in general, I give it a 7.5/10.

Para finalizar, me gustaría decir que aunque reconozco que la serie tiene sus altos y bajos, presenta una trama bastante interesante y es bastante entretenida, con buena calidad de animacion en general, y aunque el final quizás fue un poco acelerado, se logra dar a entender el mensaje que el autor quiere expresar, por lo que en materia general, le doy un 7.5/10.

Drama, action and brutality. Aliens replaced bodies of a young man and an old man with incredibly durable high-tech cyber-bodies (that can't even be scratched by bullets), loaded with weapons and features like integrated jet-pack allowing them to fly. (Don't ask why as we'll never know anyway.) Victims of that transformation struggle to maintain their own humanity: young man feel thrills of being alive when he kills, while the old man is excited to save lives with his powers. It is not even a spoiler to say that they will clash in some tedious fights. Watching this show requires substantial suspension of disbelief...

I just watched an anime called Inuyashiki, and I came straight to write about it. I almost never do this and to be honest I do not like it a 100%, with the feeling afloat, I cant be very objective, things can escape from my eye and I'll try to be more subjective and talk about how the art made you feel, more about how the art is itself. In the same way, and despite the fact that I liked Inuyashiki a lot, it has at least one bad thing that I can't miss and which I'll also talk about here.

Acabo de terminar de ver un anime llamado Inuyashiki, y vine directo a escribir sobre él. Casi nunca hago esto y la verdad es que no me gusta del todo, ya que con el sentimiento a flote puede que muchas cosas objetivas se escapen para ser más subjetivo y hablar sobre cómo te hizo sentir la obra, más de cómo es la obra en sí. De igual manera, y a pesar de que Inuyashiki me haya gustado mucho, tiene por lo menos una cosa mala que no puedo dejar pasar y de la cual también hablaré aquí

Since this time I do not know the repercussion that the anime had, and I do not know how new it is (I understand that I could investigate more, but as I said, I only came to write with what I knew before watching the anime and with what I feel now when finish it), then I am forced to give you the plot: the anime follows two persons who were in a park when an alien spaceship went down to our planet. Ya que esta vez desconozco la repercusión que tuvo el anime, y tampoco sé que tan nuevo es (entiendo que pude investigar más, pero como dije, solo vine a escribir con lo que sabía antes de ver el anime y con lo que siento ahora al terminarlo), entonces me veo en la obligación de darles la premisa: el anime sigue a dos personas que se encontraban en un parque cuando una nave extraterrestre tocó tierra. Gracias a eso, cada una de estas personas se convirtió en un robot con sus recuerdos humanos, con poderes que van descubriendo a lo largo del anime. Shishigami, el adolescente, se siente vivo al usar sus poderes para matar personas, mientras que por su contra parte, Inuyashiki, un padre de familia de 58 años, se siente vivo al salvar vidas.

The anime, which I thought was going to take the easy way of the hero and the villain (and sometimes it is), is more about sentimentality and developing its two characters in an incredible way. And this really hurts, since it could have been a great anime to make anyone cry, but its animation is CGI, it's something I can't let go. An entertaining story that keeps you on the edge of the screen for eleven chapters, with a great ending and a perfect character development, but something had to bring down the anime so it was not so mediatic, and it is its the sad animation in CGI that in several moments is very uncomfortable to watch.

El anime, que yo pensé que iba a tomar el rumbo fácil del héroe y el villano (y a veces es así), se va más por el sentimentalismo y desarrollar a sus dos personajes de una forma increíble. Y esto realmente me duele, ya que pudo haber sido un anime grandioso para hacer llorar a cualquiera, pero su animación es CGI es algo que no puedo dejar pasar. Una historia entretenida que te mantiene al borde de la pantalla durante once capítulos, con un gran final y un perfecto desarrollo de personajes, pero algo tuvo que hacer bajar el anime para que no fuese tan mediático, y es su triste animación en CGI que en varios momentos es muy incómoda de ver.

Even so, if you are there more for the story than for the animation, I am sure that you are going to have a good time watching Inuyashiki, and if you are reading manga, you will not only have a good time reading it, but you will fall in love with the drawing and the history in an impressive way.

Aun así, si estas más por la historia que por la animación, estoy seguro de que vas a pasar un buen rato viendo Inuyashiki, y si eres de leer manga, no solo la pasarás bien leyéndolo, sino que te vas a enamorar del dibujo y de la historia de una forma impresionante.

Holaaaaaa a todos, luego de un tiempo de la última reseña, que fue de un libro, ahora traigo una recomendación de uno de los tantos animes que he visto, y que espero que quizás le llame la atención a más de una persona :D Fuente

Creo que será una de las reseñas más raras de hacer, debido al contexto del anime, pero cuando le das una oportunidad puedes no llegar a arrepentirte de tu tiempo.

¿De qué va Inuyashiki?

El anime nos sitúa en los pies de un anciano de 58 años llamado Inuyashiki Ichirou, en su vida, una monotonía rutinaria y aburrida donde él no se siente bien querido por su familia, quizás un poco solo, sin tener alguien en quién apoyarse; en un inicio impactante, Ichirou rompe a llorar en una colina, donde de repente...
¡una nave espacial le cae encima!

Los conductores de la nave "reconstruyen" a Ichirou como un arma viviente, y a partir de este momento el anime te centra en un punto: ¿Ichirou será un bien o una desgracia para la humanidad?

Detalles del Anime

Tiene una animación 3D, la cual le da un aire diferente en comparación a los animes que normalmente se ven en 2D, pero en ocasiones hay ciertos gestos o expresiones que pierden realismo, o dan el aire de ser falsos o forzados.

Introducen a los personajes de una forma detallada pero sin aburrir, logrando que puedas identificarte con ellos o colocarte "en sus zapatos".

Logra transmitir bien los sentimientos que se tocan en el momento, debido a la explicación y contexto que le dan, y la forma en que lo hacen, ya sea la tristeza de los personajes, la desesperación, la emoción del momento, entre otras situaciones que se puedan presentar.

Tiene una banda sonora que, desde mi punto de vista, es buena y son bien colocadas en los momentos oportunos. Fuente

Mi puntuación final a este anime es de un 6.8, a pesar de todo, tiene un buen trama y un buen trabajo, pero hay ciertas cosas que pudieron haber mejorado, ya sean las expresiones faciales, o ciertos combates para que sean más emocionantes, pero aún así, es un anime que se disfruta y que vale la pena ver

En mis recomendaciones, traeré siempre series, animes, películas, juegos y libros que haya disfrutado y que pienso que valga la pena leer, pero recuerden que su opinión dependerá de sus gustos :D.

Year: 2017- Genre: Action (Seinen), Psychological, science fiction - Duration: 11 episodes.
Synopsis:

Inuyashiki is a middle-aged man without many emotions in his life, his family rejects him, his work has no future; While trying to cope with the monotony of his life taking care of a dog, Inuyashiki is diagnosed with terminal cancer, which leads Inuyashiki to depression, but when he was about to lose all hope an accident leaves Inuyashiki with incredible powers and abilities, leaving healthy then, use your powers to do good and looking for ways to help others.

Personal opinion

A series that has a very different flavor to the traditional anime,haves an atypical hero and a weird kind of villiain, shows us a very classic combat between good and evil, with a completely new air, the most remarkable thing is the personality of Inuyashiki which is a very real character, which reflects coherence and with an atypical shape narrates the sensitivity of a man who has strong feelings, something very remarkable in the ease he has to mourn in many scenes. The narrative feels right leaves you without explanation too long and allows you to detail the development of the plot with comfort in which highlights how well it explains the relationship between the characters that is easy to understand, the details and the load of coherences the dialogues stand out, however the scenes could be better calculated in time.

The animation is very good, it is a positive factor given that it is very fluid throughout the series; also without being especially remarkable, the art is very well done, it has a more realistic touch that impacts many times although the action scenes are not as special as they could be, but the point of greatest strength is given by the facial expressions that look natural and where realism really stands out.

The music in Inuyashiki is very good where you look, the soundtrack is very well implemented and with the opening: My Hero, played by MAN WITH A MISSION is a theme of taste to Nu Metal that is consistent, with an average speed and strong battery, perhaps leaves us wanting to see more hits than we actually see; the ending: Ai wo Oshiete Kureta Kimi e is a song that feels right while shows the end of each episode in harmony with the narrated.

Conclusion:

A series with a different story, deep and mature, of moments can improve the narrative but in general the plot is excellent and keeps you attentive, I just think that you need a little more speed to the action, because it falls short in that aspect during clashes.

Sinopsis:

Inuyashiki es un hombre de mediana edad sin muchas emociones en su vida, su familia lo rechaza, su trabajo no tiene futuro; mientras intentaba sobrellevar la monotonía de su vida cuidando de un perro, Inuyashiki es diagnosticado con cancer terminal, lo que lleva a Inuyashiki a la depresión, pero cuando estaba a punto de perder toda esperanza un accidente deja a Inuyashiki con poderes y habilidades increíbles, quedando sano entonces, usa sus poderes para hacer el bien y buscando la forma de ayudar a otros.

Opinión Personal

Una serie que tiene un sabor muy diferente al anime tradicional, nos deja con un héroe y un villano atípico la historia nos muestra un muy clásico combate entre el bien y el mal,con un aire completamente nuevo, lo más destacable es la personalidad de Inuyashiki que resulta un personaje muy real, que refleja coherencias y con una forma atípica narra la sensibilidad de un hombre que tiene fuertes sentimientos , algo muy notable en la facilidad que tiene para llorar en muchas escenas. La narrativa se siente correcta te deja sin explicación demasiado tiempo y te permite detallar el desarrollo de la trama con comodidad en la que destaca lo bien que explica la relación entre los personajes que se hace fácil de entender, por los detalles y la carga de coherencias se destacan los diálogos, sin embargo las escenas pudieron ser mejor calculadas en tiempo.

La animación es muy buena, es un factor positivo dado a que es muy fluida durante toda la serie; también sin ser especialmente destacable, el arte está muy bien realizado, tiene un toque más realista que impacta muchas veces aunque las escenas de acción no son tan especiales como podrían ser, pero el punto de mayor fuerza lo dan las expresiones faciales que se ven naturales y donde el realismo destaca realmente.

La música en Inuyashiki es muy buena por donde se mire, la banda sonora está muy bien implementada y con el opening: My Hero, interpretado por MAN WITH A MISSION es un tema de gusto a Nu Metal que queda acorde, con una velocidad media y batería fuerte, quizás nos deja con ganas de ver más golpes de los que en realidad vemos; el ending: Ai wo Oshiete Kureta Kimi e es un tema muy bien introducido que deja reflejado el final de cada episodio su sintonía con lo narrado.

Conclusión:

Una serie con una historia diferente, profunda y madura, de momentos puede mejorar la narrativa pero en general l trama es excelente y te mantiene atento, solo creo que le hace falta un poco más de velocidad a la acción, pues se queda corta en ese aspecto durante los enfrentamientos.

Synopsis Ichiro Inuyashiki, 58 years old, father of 2 children. His elderly and fragile appearance often leaves him dumped by his own family. The only friend he has is Hanako, his pet dog. One night, he witnessed the emergency landing of the aliens who claimed his life. However, he was reborn as a robot, along with a young boy who at that moment also witnessed the incident.

Hiroya Oku is often known as the mangaka behind Gantz. This time, he came back with his new work: Inuyashiki. This anime introduces us to Ichiro Inuyashiki, an old father who was reborn as a robot and helps people in trouble. The first episode of the animation brings us into the father's daily life with his family as a human being, and how his life changed after being reborn as a robot.

One thing that the audience might be aware of when watching Inuyashiki is how this anime will be loaded with 3DCG. However, the transition from 2D to 3D does not seem awkward, especially the use of 3D animation is very effective in scenes that require Inuyashiki to use the power of the robot. The anime also has the most beautiful visual ending for this season.

Inuyashiki is the unexpected anime of the season that nobody waited for but instead grow highly into viewers heart and become quite popular!

General info

Inuyashiki is an action-adventure Sci-Fi with a lot of drama elements. Also you can say it's a psychological 11 episodes anime that aired at October 13 by studio Mappa. Some of the anime studio Mappa is known for is Garo, Shingeki no Bahamut and Ushio to Tora.

Story-Plot

The story set is ( guess where) in japan and our protagonist is Inuyashiki Ichirou a 58 years old man that looks way older than this, having a boring office job and a family that don't care at all about him and his opinion. The old man seems kind and hardworking trying to provide the best he had afford to his family while as i mentioned they threat him like his not existing.

Above all that Inuyashiki is diagnosed with cancer and he has little time to live. After some touching moments alone an ufo hits him all of sudden. when he wakes up he realize he is not the same anymore. Basically, he turned into robot with everything inside him to be robotic except his outside appearance. He cured from the cancer and he is trying to find out about what his powers do and how he can help other people while keeping it a secret out of everyone.

But that's not it where and who is the enemy?

You can't have a human turns into a robot and leave it just like that. There is another ordinary human that got the exact same powers but he is using them just for his own selfish reasons without caring for people that don't know. (i will explain below what genius the creator of this manga-anime is). Now the old man has to find out who the other robot is and deal with him!

Why you should watch it and how different is from the other Anime

hmm where to start the reasons are so many but let's begin!!

1) the protagonist is a 58 man. I have watched a lot of anime and i repeat and lot and i don't recall a protagonist of that age instead if you just click at random anime you will see the same teen,kids and school boys/girls as protagonists. Probably you may see quite a few protagonists with age over 80+ but they will be ''trapped'' inside a teen's body or they will never age etc etc

2) The 58 years old man turns into a Robot. While we have witnessed everything watching anime, from animals to talk, people transforming into monsters, vampires and strange powers have we really seen any old guy turning into robot and keeping his outside appearance?

3) The art and the graphs are amazing. It happens to have watched other anime of Mappa studio so i can tell they are pretty good at this. the graph style is amazing and even when there are moments of CGI (something which i hate in every anime), i don't know how but they manage to balance it and the overall results looks great.

4) The feelings. I never believed that an anime with that few episodes will make me feel something. It's the only sort anime that have done this to me and from what i read to many others too. Only in the first episode you get to witness the reality of an everyday life and how sad and stressful it may be. Moreover the cancer is the tip of the hill as it shows like in reality that bad things happen to good people. On the other hand the villain that doesn't care about people who he doesn't know reminds of many people nowadays and their saying '' well if you give me a million dollars and 5 random people that i don't know die, i am in'' meaning that the empathy in our days is gone!!!

5) Fight scenes. The fight scenes are amazing, you don't expect that kind of kills and with this kind of ways, note this down ( the episode with the yakuza and then come back to tell me :P )

A terminally ill elderly employee who's approaching retirement is put into total despair from his uncaring family and distant coworkers.

Ichiro Inuyashiki is suddenly struck by a UFO on his way back home and is reborn with a mechanical body which gives him superpowers that by far transcend limitations of those of a human. Meanwhile, Hiro Shishigami, a high-school student who also encountered the same phenomenon as Inuyashiki, starts to use his super powers compulsively.

Shishigami continues assaulting individuals with his powers while Inuyashiki continues saving the general population harmed by Shishigami. Is the human nature fundamentally good or evil? Two people, who experienced a similar wonder and got a body with remarkable forces, will now pick their own particular ways.

Ichiro Inuyashiki Voice: Fumiyo Kohinata

A 58-year-old specialist with a matured face thus many silver hairs that he doesn't look his age.
