Seth Rogen surprises me
I've said on several occasions that I'm not a big fan of Seth Rogen. He is an actor of whom I have seen almost all his movies, some funnier than others, but I find his voice and his shouting irritating. However, one of the last movies I saw was An American Pickle, where he played a double character, leaving me with good impressions.
In this miniseries he plays Rand Gauthier , giving a performance without exaggeration that left me surprised. The directors of the miniseries have directed him correctly, building a character that at times makes us feel sorry for him, although we must not forget that what he did was wrong.
There is no denying Rogen, who is also an entrepreneur within that industry and was very involved in the creation and production of it. Robert Siegel is the showrunner of the production, in charge of writing and directing most of the episodes, especially the first three, which are wild and funny.
From reading the title of the miniseries, many will know what the story is about, but some younger people may not identify the people in the title, so I gave you a brief synopsis of the story.

Para mí es fascinante ver los peinados, trajes y estilos de vida que no conocían la revolución tecnológica que se avecinaba. Todo lo que era ciencia ficción pronto se convertiría en realidad.
Comenzaba Internet y con él, nuevas formas de hacer negocios. Internet lo cambiaría todo. The miniseries has made me reflect on the past and the famous recording of the couple. I remember watching it, renting it at a video store and watching it at home, on the old VHS player. Like many at the time, we acted out of morbid curiosity and for the pleasure of being voyeurs, observing the intimacy of two celebrities, especially the male audience who were crazy about Pamela Anderson. Although Tommy Lee would surprise many with his great attributes.
Time, experiences and experiences change us. I no longer think the same way I did when I first saw that video or the following leaked videos of other celebrities (Paris Hilton, Kim Kardashian, among others). I loved the acting of the entire cast, they are fabulous every one of them, each of the main characters do a great job, because they are portraying real people and a couple of them are too well known.
First praise goes to those who play Pamela and Tommy. The beautiful Lily James, who some will remember for the 2015 movies: Cinderella and the movie Baby Driver transforms into Pamela Anderson, of course they are not identical physically, but I felt that she captures all the essence of the other actress and transmits us all the fragility of the young Canadian girl who reached worldwide fame and has had a life full of love controversies.
Sebastian Stan, an actor famous for being part of the Marvel universe, is in charge of playing the controversial and crazy Tommy Lee. A rocker with a very extroverted personality who lived surrounded by excesses of all kinds. The actor not only imitates the gestures and personality of the real Tommy Lee, but brings sensitivity, to imagine how was that quick and crazy love between the two stars. Because let's remember that this is a work of fiction inspired by a real event.

I don't know if Pamela Anderson has given any statement, you can look it up on news portals. I don't think she agrees with the dramatization that was made of the miniseries, first because she refused to participate in the production. Secondly, she did agree to do business with Netflix, which will produce a documentary on the actress' life, where she will have the opportunity to give her opinion on the whole videotape issue.
I think it's a smart move on her part. The miniseries has made her relevant in the media again, so it's the perfect time to exploit her fame again. El caso de Pam y Tommy es diferente, porque fue algo que se difundió sin su consentimiento, que al final tuvieron que hacer un acuerdo económico con una empresa que adquirió el video, porque ya no había solución ni se podía detener la difusión.
El daño ya estaba hecho, sobre todo el daño a Pamela Anderson, una mujer, que tendría que soportar las miradas y las habladurías sobre ella. Porque en ese momento la sociedad y el sistema la convirtieron en culpable, cuando era una víctima. Nadie sabe el daño emocional y moral que tuvo que soportar. Tampoco seamos despiadados, diciendo que, como era rica, seguramente fue más fácil para ella, no, el dinero no hace a las personas invencibles contra el daño psicológico que un hecho como ese puede causar.
Un reparto fantástico
Me encantó la actuación de todo el elenco, son fabulosos cada uno de ellos, cada uno de los personajes principales hacen un gran trabajo, porque están retratando a personas reales y un par de ellos son demasiado conocidos.
Los primeros elogios son para los que interpretan a Pamela y Tommy. La hermosa Lily James, que algunos recordarán por las películas de 2015: Cenicienta y la película Baby Driver se transforma en Pamela Anderson, claro que no son idénticas físicamente, pero sentí que capta toda la esencia de la otra actriz y nos transmite toda la fragilidad de la joven canadiense que alcanzó la fama mundial y ha tenido una vida llena de controversias amorosas.

Taylor Schilling, conocida por su trabajo en Orange is the New Black interpreta a Erica Gauthier una actriz de cine para adultos que estuvo casada con Rand.
¿Qué piensa la verdadera Pamela?
No sé si Pamela Anderson ha dado alguna declaración, puedes buscarla en portales de noticias. No creo que esté de acuerdo con la dramatización que se hizo de la miniserie, primero porque se negó a participar en la producción. En segundo lugar, sí aceptó hacer negocios con Netflix, que producirá un documental sobre la vida de la actriz, donde ella tendrá la oportunidad de dar su opinión sobre todo el tema de la cinta de video.
Creo que es un movimiento inteligente por su parte. La miniserie la ha vuelto a hacer relevante en los medios de comunicación, así que es el momento perfecto para volver a explotar su fama. No hay que juzgarla, está en su derecho, no hay nada de malo en que quiera aprovechar el momento, voy a ver ese documental cuando se estrene y lo reseñaré.
Pam & Tommy is an excellent miniseries by Hulo, with three first episodes that are an excess of madness, passion and fun. It will get you hooked and you will witness a delirious scene that will make you scream What the hell am I watching! Then the story becomes more serious and makes us reflect on everything that happened, showing the damage caused and how it affects the lives of all involved. I haven't seen the last episode yet, which will be available next week, but it's already enough to recommend it. In total there are eight episodes worth watching.
