   Hello friends, I'm here with another interesting movie titled The Ice road and I would like to share with you.

   The movie is about The people trapped in a collapsed northern diamond mine, only have a few hours of air left. A group has to drive on treacherous thawing ice to rescue them while also dealing with an unknown threat.

   It begins when an explosion at a mine in Manitoba traps 26 miners.

   Mike McCann and his brother Gurty, an Iraq war veteran suffering from PTSD and aphasia, work for a trucking company in North Dakota until Mike punches another trucker for making fun of Gurty's cognitive disability, and they are both fired.

   Mike hears about ice road truckers needed in Winnipeg and they apply. Jim Goldenrod, another trucker, agrees to lead a rescue mission to deliver wellheads to the mine.

   He hires McCann and Gurty, along with a young indigenous woman known only as Tantoo.

   Also joining the rescue mission is actuary Varnay, responsible for insurance risk assessment for Katka, the company which owns the mine.

   $200,000 is split between the four truckers, which will be redistributed among the survivors if anyone dies.

   Meanwhile, the miners are communicating with Katka executives using tap code, and Katka General Manager Sickle transmits a message that they plan to free the men by blasting a tunnel.

   The team leaves for the mine with three wellheads. During the trip, Goldenrod's engine seizes. While attempting to repair it, the ice beneath his trailer brakes and his leg gets trapped.

   Knowing he can't escape, he convinces Tantoo to sever the strap attaching him to the truck, causing him to drown but saving the other two rigs and wellheads.

   In an attempt to flee the rapidly approaching pressure wave and cracking ice, the remaining two trucks fishtail and roll over, stopping the pressure wave.

   Varnay convinces Mike to accuse Tantoo of sabotaging Goldenrod's rig, but Tantoo reveals her brother Cody is among the miners.

   When they continue to interrogate her, she pulls out a pistol, but Gurty disarms her and ties her up.

   After the men right the trucks, Varnay locks Mike and Gurty in the back of their rig.

   Varnay is revealed to have been the one who sabotaged Goldenrod's rig, and knocks Tantoo unconscious.

   He rigs Mike's truck with dynamite and drives off with Tantoo but Mike and Gurty escape from the trailer and throw the dynamite away just before it explodes.

   Varnay watches the explosion from afar, believing that Mike and Gurty are dead. While winching their trailer out of the ice, Gurty tries to warn Mike the winch will fail, but Mike starts the machine anyway.

   The winch snaps, causing Gurty and the trailer to fall into the water, but Mike rescues Gurty. Varnay meets with Sickle, telling him Mike and Gurty have died.

   Sickle instructs Varnay to get rid of Tantoo and the last remaining wellhead by making it seem Tantoo lost control and veered off a cliff.

   Varnay prepares to kill Tantoo, but is bitten by Gurty's pet rat Skeeter, enabling Tantoo to throw him out of the rig.

   Mike and Gurty arrive and kill the Katka contractors pursuing Tantoo.

   After Tantoo runs out of fuel due to Varnay disconnecting her fuel equalizer, he catches up to her, but Mike crashes his rig into Varnay's truck, sending it off a cliff.

   Varnay survives and creates an avalanche with dynamite. Mike and Gurty escape, but Tantoo is hit by snow and wounded by a branch.

   They uncouple her trailer, and drive off with the wellhead. Varnay pursues them in Tantoo's rig and begins ramming them.

   Mike boards Varnay's rig and both fall from the truck. After a struggle, Mike attempts to drive away, but Varnay climbs onto the rig.

   Mike knocks Varnay out, accelerates the rig, and jumps out, causing it to fall through the surface and kill Varnay.

   Find out what happened next as mike knocks Varnay out as the movie gets more interesting.

   Titled in Latin America as "Riesgo bajo cero", The Ice Road shows us a reality that few of us know, the icy roads, which as its name suggests are made of ice and snow around them. Particularly I had no idea that this type of roads existed but there are countries that due to their environment even have them as conventional roads, for example the Nordic countries.

   While it is not my intention to talk merely about the roads, they have great weight in the plot that develops in the film starring actor Liam Neeson, who plays Mike a truck driver who along with his brother Gurty have a difficult life due to the condition of the latter.

   Gurty is a veteran who suffers from a special condition due to war wounds, so Mike must practically take care of him being the only family member he has, however it is not easy because they can not sustain stability in any company, and because of that they are faced with a very familiar situation for us Latinos, looking for work.

   Titulada en Latinoamérica como “Riesgo bajo cero”, The Ice Road nos muestra una realidad que pocos conocemos, las carreteras heladas, las cuales como su nombre lo indica son de hielo y nieve a su alrededor. Particularmente no tenía ni idea que existían este tipo de carreteras pero hay países que debido a su ambiente las tienen incluso como vías de comunicación convencionales, por ejemplo los países nórdicos.

   Si bien no es mi intención hablar meramente de las carreteras, estas tienen gran peso en la trama que se desarrolla en la película protagonizada por el actor Liam Neeson, quien interpreta a Mike un camionero que junto a su hermano Gurty tienen una vida difícil debido a la condición de este último.

   Gurty es un veterano que padece una condición especial debido a heridas de guerra, por lo que Mike debe prácticamente cuidarlo al ser el único familiar que tiene, sin embargo no es nada sencillo debido a que no pueden sostener estabilidad en ninguna empresa, y debido a eso se encuentran con una situación muy conocida por nosotros los latinos, buscar trabajo.

   The only thing they didn't know is that their next job was a rescue mission, a suicide mission to save 26 miners who had been trapped in an explosion. Up to this point the plot is interesting, Liam Neeson has a "personal brand" so to speak in his movies, he is always rescuing someone, and this time is no exception.

   Perhaps it may seem boring because it's always the same, but on the other hand I think it's one of those peculiarities of this actor that never fails to entertain. If Liam had taken a character that represented him it would not be bad, he would be a James Bond type with many adventures, the truth is that his performances are full of action, suspense and a lot of tension.

   He definitely has very good movies, but this one is of average quality, the most striking are the frozen roads, it is interesting the risk involved in driving on those roads, because the danger remains latent at all times, and so they make it look in the first minutes of filming, but after that the story changes drastically and the roads are no longer the main thing, now there is a murky matter of life and death in which he and his brother are involved.

   The film had the participation of Laurence Fishburne, and because of that it caught my attention, to see these two actors together should be a spectacle I thought, however it was not and in that sense I was a little disappointed to see it. Laurence's role was very basic and short, it seemed like a filler role more than anything else, and that's strange for an actor with such a track record and starring role.

   Lo único que no sabían es que su próximo empleo se trataba de una misión de rescate, una misión suicida para salvar a 26 mineros que habían quedado atrapados en una explosión. Hasta este punto la trama es interesante, Liam Neeson tiene una “marca personal” por así decirlo en sus películas, siempre está rescatando a alguien, y en esta oportunidad no es la excepción.

   Quizás pueda parecer aburrido porque siempre es lo mismo, pero por otro lado pienso que es una de esas particularidades de este actor que no dejan de entretener. Si Liam hubiese sacado un personaje que lo representase no estaría mal, sería un tipo James Bond con muchas aventuras, lo cierto es que sus actuaciones están llenas de acción, suspenso y mucha tensión.

   Definitivamente tiene películas muy buenas, pero esta es de calidad media, lo más llamativo son las carreteras congeladas, es interesante el riesgo que supone conducir por esas vías, pues el peligro se mantiene latente en todo momento, y así lo hacen ver en los primeros minutos de rodaje, pero luego de eso la historia cambia drásticamente y las carreteras dejan de ser lo principal, ahora hay un asunto turbio de vida o muerte en el cual él y su hermano están involucrados.

   La película tuvo la participación de Laurence Fishburne, y debido a eso fue que llamo más mi atención, ver a estos dos actores juntos debe ser un espectáculo pensé, sin embargo no fue así y en ese sentido me sentí un poco decepcionado al verla. El papel de Laurence fue muy básico y corto, pareció un papel de relleno más que cualquier otra cosa, y eso es extraño para un actor de tanta trayectoria y protagonismo.

   On the other hand, I thought Benjamin Walker's performance was masterful, with a cold and calculating attitude he went unnoticed by the whole audience until he revealed his main role in the plot, there he showed quite striking acting qualities that allowed the story to remain interesting.

   I liked how the author encompassed several problems at the same time, and what seemed to be a survival movie in the snow turned into a classic Liam Neeson action movie. I think I was deluded to expect anything different as it is almost impossible for films starring this actor to stay away from action and heroism.

   In conclusion, it is a movie that can be enjoyed, it is not the best in its genre but it can easily hook us and leave us a bittersweet taste when we finish watching it, it is not bad but it is not very good either, you have to see it to draw your own conclusions, from my part I would recommend it to pass the time and nothing more, zero high expectations as it leaves much to be desired by the quality of actors it has, I expected something more and I did not get it this time, I think it could have been developed much better and reach a deeper and more satisfactory result, although it has a good message at the end of it all.

   Por otro lado, pienso que la actuación de Benjamín Walker fue magistral, con una actitud fría y calculadora paso desapercibido para toda la audiencia hasta que revelo su papel principal en la trama, allí mostro cualidades de actuación bastante llamativas que permitieron que la historia siguiera siendo interesante.

   Me gusto como el autor de la misma englobo varios problemas al mismo tiempo, y lo que parecía ser una película de supervivencia en la nieve se convirtió en una película de acción, de las clásicas de Liam Neeson. Pienso que fui un iluso al esperar algo diferente pues es casi imposible que las películas protagonizadas por este actor se mantengan alejadas de la acción y el heroísmo.

   En conclusión, es una película que se puede disfrutar, no es la mejor en su género pero puede fácilmente engancharnos y dejarnos un sabor agridulce al terminar de verla, no es mala pero tampoco es muy buena, tienes que verla para sacar tus propias conclusiones, de mi parte la recomendaría para pasar el rato y nada más, cero expectativas altas ya que deja mucho que desear por la calidad de actores que tiene, espere algo mas y no lo conseguí en esta oportunidad, pienso que pudo haberse desarrollado mucho mejor y llegar a un resultado más profundo y satisfactorio, aunque tiene un buen mensaje al final de todo.

   Saludos chicos, feliz viernes de aroma para todos. Al contrario de la película que hoy les traigo, ha estado haciendo en mi ciudad un calor bastante desesperante, de esos que provoca ir a la playa pero terminas lavando la ropa para que se seque rápido.

   Greetings guys, happy scent Friday for everyone. Contrary to the movie that I bring you today, it has been quite desperately hot in my city, one of those that makes you go to the beach but you end up washing your clothes to dry quickly.

   Esta trama de hoy me la recomendó mi padre al inicio de esta semana, y la verdad debo agradecerle porque ultimamente se me esta siendo difícil poder ubicar una película que me llame la atención en netflix, las listas no se están actualizando, y me estoy quedando básicamente sin recursos que traerles, al menos que esté ciego, y de ser así pues, en sus comentarios dejenme alguna película que ver.

   Today's plot was recommended to me by my father at the beginning of this week, and I really have to thank him because lately it's been difficult for me to find a movie that catches my attention on Netflix, the lists are not being updated, and I'm basically running out of resources to bring you, unless I'm blind, and if so, in your comments leave me a movie to watch.

   Hoy nos tenemos que arroparse bien porque el ambiente de esta película en su mayoría es de frío. Nunca en mi vida pensé ver carreteras de hielo. Me imagine ver que las carreteras estaban cristalizadas por el frío y por supuesto resbalosas, nunca que las carreteras fueran literalmente de hielo y por debajo agua.

   Today we have to bundle up well because the mood of this movie is mostly cold. I never in my life thought I would see icy roads. I imagined seeing roads that were crystallized from the cold and of course slippery, never that the roads were literally made of ice and underneath water.

   Creo que es una idea muy bien pensada y con bastante adrenalina, pues hay que tener mucho valor y conocimiento para poder llevar incluso un carro por encima de dichas vías heladas.

   I think it is a very well thought out idea and with a lot of adrenaline, because you have to have a lot of courage and knowledge to be able to drive even a car over such icy roads.

   En este caso no son carros, estamos hablando de camiones de cargas, que por cierto tienen adentro un cargamento bastante pesado que necesitan transportar con urgencia para salvar 32 vidas.

   In this case they are not cars, we are talking about cargo trucks, which by the way have a very heavy load inside that they need to transport urgently to save 32 lives.

   

   Pero venga, que la cosa es de atrás para adelante. Todo comienza con la explosión de una mina, donde hay varios mineros que se suponen deben tener garantizada la seguridad tanto del sitio como la de sus vidas.

   But come on, it goes backwards and forwards. It all starts with the explosion of a mine, where there are several miners who are supposed to have guaranteed the safety of both the site and their lives.

   Es por ello que en el caso de estas minas donde estan, las mismas tienen sensores para detectar metileno que es un compuesto volátil, el problema es que en las primeras escenas mostradas, un técnico se da cuenta que los sensores están apagados, tan pronto intenta remediar la situación, explota parte de la mina, lo cual deja algunos heridos pero en su mayoría a todos atrapados.

   That is why in the case of these mines where they are, they have sensors to detect methylene which is a volatile compound, the problem is that in the first scenes shown, a technician realizes that the sensors are off, as soon as he tries to remedy the situation, explodes part of the mine, which leaves some injured but mostly all trapped.

   En búsqueda de salvarlos se dan cuenta que no pueden hacerlo sin antes filtrar el metileno que está ya esparcido en la mina. Para ello necesitan unas herramientas muy pesadas que no pueden ser transportadas por vía aérea dado que no hay una pista lo suficientemente amplia para que aviones de cargas transporte el material.

   In their quest to save them, they realize that they cannot do so without first filtering out the methylene that is already scattered in the mine. To do this they need some very heavy tools that cannot be transported by air because there is no runway wide enough for cargo planes to transport the material.

   De aquí surge la idea de transportarlo vía terrestre, el problema es que necesitan que sea lo más rápido posible porque todos en la mina se están quedando sin oxígeno. Por lo que optan cortar camino por el llamado "carreteras de hielo", que son literalmente vías de agua y hielo.

   The problem is that they need to do it as quickly as possible because everyone in the mine is running out of oxygen. So they choose to cut their way through the so-called "ice roads", which are literally water and ice roads.

   

   Ante la falta de personal que ayude a transportar, buscan a personas que estén capacitadas para llevar a cabo el trabajo allí entra Mike y Gurty (su hermano) quienes recientemente perdieron el empleo dado que su hermano Mike le dio un golpe a otro trabajador que le hacía bullying a su hermano.

   Due to the lack of personnel to help transport, they are looking for people who are qualified to carry out the work where Mike and Gurty (his brother) who recently lost their jobs because his brother Mike gave a blow to another worker who was bullying his brother.

   Gurty tiene una enfermedad que le hace parecer tener ciertas incapacidades mentales, pero la verdad es que es un hombre bastante inteligente algo que lo llevó rápidamente a ser aceptado para esta nueva misión.

   Gurty has a disease that makes him seem to have certain mental disabilities, but the truth is that he is a very intelligent man, something that quickly led him to be accepted for this new mission.

   Nunca pensaron que dentro del grupo de camioneros había una persona que buscaba sabotear la misión. Esto trajo que dos de los camiones perdieran la mercancía y que uno de ellos muriera.

   They never thought that within the group of truckers there was a person who sought to sabotage the mission. This resulted in two of the trucks losing their merchandise and one of them dying.

   Ya no se trataba solo de luchar contra la posibilidad de ser hundidos por un mal manejo en la carretera, también con el hecho de que había una persona sirviendo de obstáculo.

   It was no longer just a matter of struggling with the possibility of being sunk by bad driving on the road, but also with the fact that there was a person serving as an obstacle.

   Es realmente fascinante cuando explican las razones por la cual se debe ir a una velocidad constante y el hecho de que hay que cuidarse de ciertas ondas que se producen por la presión.

   It is really fascinating when they explain the reasons why you have to go at a constant speed and the fact that you have to watch out for certain waves that are produced by the pressure.

   Pero más increíble es el hecho de lo que es capaz la política y administración de una empresa para obtener más ganancias económicas así se vea involucrado pérdidas humanas.

   But even more incredible is the fact that the policy and management of a company is capable of obtaining more economic profit even if human losses are involved.

   

   El resto de los camioneros hacen lo imposible para que al menos uno llegue a la mina y de esa forma poder salvar a las personas y destapar la mentira que hay dentro de la misma empresa, ya que ellos, los mineros, son los únicos testigos de la verdad.

   The rest of the truck drivers do the impossible so that at least one can reach the mine and thus be able to save the people and uncover the lie that exists within the company itself, since they, the miners, are the only witnesses to the truth.

   Liam Neeson una vez más no nos defrauda con su excelente rol protagónico.

   Liam Neeson once again does not disappoint us with his excellent leading role.

   Driving a gondola or a truck should not be easy because it is so big and heavy, for that you need a lot of practice, since a bad driving can cause many problems on the road until crashing and causing a disaster or even accidents. The same applies to driving on ice and on very narrow and dangerous roads. It requires professional drivers and people who are willing to assume the great responsibility of driving on high-risk roads, either to transport goods or to rescue people.

   Conducir una góndola o un camión no debe ser nada fácil por lo grande y pesado, para eso se necesita de mucha práctica, ya que un mal manejo puede ocasionar muchos problemas en la vía hasta chocar y ocasionar un desastre o incluso accidentes. Lo mismo debe ser conducir sobre hielo y en vías que son muy estrechas y peligrosas, se necesita de profesionales del volante y personas que estén dispuestos asumir esa gran responsabilidad de conducir por vías de alto riesgo, ya sea con el fin de trasladar mercancías o rescatar a personas.

   Even if there are people who have a lot of courage, heart and a great responsibility to assume that responsibility, as in the case of the film Zero Risk, where a trip with the aim of rescuing a large number of people who are about to die becomes a disaster, loaded with lots of action, suspense and even more when they offer some money to those who do not like to do that.

   Aun si hay personas que tienen mucha valentía, corazón y una gran responsabilidad al asumir esa responsabilidad, como lo es en el caso de la película Riesgo Bajo Cero, donde un viaje con el objetivo de rescatar a una gran cantidad personas que están a punto de morir se vuelve todo un desastre, cargado de mucha acción, suspenso y más aún cuando ofrecen algo de dinero a quien no le gusta hacer eso.

   A film that from the beginning you can see how two very worrying situations are presented, because of the fact that some are struggling to finish the journey alive, having to go through extremely dangerous places, where they always supported each other, they did a teamwork despite all the adversities they had to go through. While, on the other hand, a large number of people are struggling to survive and get out alive, since they were trapped in a mine, where anxiety, desperation and anguish, on the part of all, are very great because their lives were at risk.

   Una película que desde de un principio se puede notar como se presentan dos situaciones muy preocupantes, por el hecho de que algunos están luchando por poder terminar el recorrido con vida, teniendo que atravesar por lugares sumamente peligrosos, donde siempre se apoyaron entre todos, realizaron un trabajo en equipo a pesar de todas las adversidades que tuvieron que atravesar. Mientras que, por otro lado, una gran cantidad de personas luchan por sobrevivir y salir con vida, ya que estaban encerrados en una mina, donde la ansiedad, la desesperación y la angustia, por parte de todos, son muy grandes porque su vida estaba en riesgo.

   This excellent production is loaded with many very good scenes, where you can notice all the work that these people had to do in order to maintain and achieve all the suspense during the film. In addition, you can see in several parts of the film how sadness, fear takes over people, as they were going through a very unpleasant situation, and that can happen to any human being, so making decisions in life is of great importance and you have to know when and what time to take it.

   Esta excelente producción está cargada de muchas escenas muy buenas, donde se puede notar todo ese trabajo que tenían que hacer estas personas para así poder mantener y lograr todo ese suspenso durante la película. Además, se puede ver en varias partes de la película como la tristeza, el miedo se apodera de las personas, ya que estaban pasando una situación muy desagradable, y eso le puede pasar a cualquier ser humano, por eso la toma de decisiones en la vida es de gran importancia y hay que saber cuándo y qué momento tomarla.

   As the film unfolded, I was surprised by the twist it had, it was something that impacted me and I did not expect it, since I was very calm watching how they tried to complete the tour and suddenly shots, crashes, accidents, it was a moment of great tension and great suspense. It should be noted that you can never miss someone who wants to win all the power and fame, this is where betrayal arises and trust is over, both in real life and in the movies, that's the worst thing that can exist, so you have to be smarter than others and know how to act in any situation.

   A medida que se fue desarrollando la película, quede sorprendió por el giro que tuvo, fue algo que me impacto y no me lo esperaba, ya que estaba de lo más tranquilo viendo como intentaban completar el recorrido y de repente disparos, choques, accidentes, fue un momento de mucha tensión y de gran suspendo. Cabe de destacar, que nunca puede faltar alguien que sé la tira de más pila y quiere ganarse todo el poder y la fama, es aquí donde surge la traición y la confianza se acaba, tanto en la vida real como en las películas, eso es lo peor que puede existir, por eso uno tiene que ser más inteligente que los demás y saber actuar ante cualquiera situación.

   Another thing that caught my attention is how a person who went out to work every day to earn all their money and be able to have peace of mind, in a matter of seconds their supposed boss put them in a very risky and worrying situation for everyone. Even so, the rescuers never gave up, they did their job and demonstrated the importance of people's lives, no matter who they are, since we are all human beings.

   Otras de las cosas que me llamo mucho la atención es como una persona que salía a trabajar diariamente para ganarse todo su dinero y poder estar tranquilos, en cuestión de segundos su supuesto jefe los haya puesto en una situación muy arriesgada y preocupante para todos. Aun así, los rescatistas nunca se rindieron, hicieron su trabajo y demostraron la importancia que tiene la vida de las personas y no importa quienes sean, ya que todos somos seres humanos.

   A film that has a lot of actors that from the beginning to the end put a lot of effort, love and affection to it. One of them is our main characters known as Liam Neeson, who has the role as Mike McCann, a person who has a great attitude, personality where his way of thinking and doing things are unique, also one of the characteristics that he has and I have always liked is that he has that gift to help others, rescue people and especially defend himself from the bad guys, where in all his films, he does incredible. In addition, he never stopped at any time to achieve his goal, and of course all work accompanied by someone is much easier.

   Una película que cuenta con una gran cantidad de actores que desde el principio hasta el final le pusieron mucho empeño, amor y cariño a la misma. Uno de ellos es nuestros personajes principal conocido como Liam Neeson, quien tiene el papel como Mike McCann, una persona que tiene un gran actitud, personalidad donde su formar de pensar y hacer las cosas son únicas, además unas de las características que tiene y siempre me ha gustado es que tiene ese don de ayudar a los demás, rescatar las personas y sobre todo defenderse de los malos, donde en todas sus películas, lo hace increíble. Además, nunca se detuvo en ningún momento hasta lograr su objetivo, y por su puesto todo trabajo acompañado de alguien es mucho más fácil.

   Another actor I liked is Laurence Fishburne, known as Jim Goldenrod, because without him and his task of forming the best team of drivers, things would be different. I really liked the way he acted and how he developed things and the different tests he did. I also liked the way he made the decision to drive, I thought it was incredible, because he took on a great challenge.

   Otro de los actores que me gusto es Laurence Fishburne, conocido como Jim Goldenrod, ya que sin él y su tarea de formar el mejor equipo de conductores, las cosas serían otra. Me gusto mucho la manera como actúo y como fue desarrollando la cosas y las distintas pruebas que realizo. Como también la chicha que tomo la decisión de conducir, me pareció increíble, por el hecho de que asumió un gran desafío.

   A movie that I recommend, if you like the suspense genre, action since from the beginning to the end you are going to live it and feel it, also you never have to stop fighting for what we love in this life and do things with love, affection and that is not an obligation but by vocation. We must always listen, take advice and make the best decisions for our life.

   Una película que se las recomiendo, si te gusta el género de suspenso, acción ya que desde el comienzo hasta el final vas a vivirlo y sentirlo, además nunca se tiene que dejar de luchar por lo que amamos en esta vida y hacer las cosas con amor, cariño y que no sea por una obligación sino por vocación. Siempre hay que escuchar, tomar consejos y tomar las mejores decisiones para nuestra vida.

   Saludos, estimada comunidad, quiero compartir hoy mis impresiones sobre Ice road. Al ver el trailer creció en mí la curiosidad de ver esta película, una combinación de dama y acción. Jonathan Hensleigh, director y guionista, plantea un escenario gélido donde unos transportistas de carga pesada viven una travesía, poniendo el foco en este empleo riesgoso que es inherente a situaciones apremiantes, dejando a la luz la vulnerabilidad de los seres humanos. Las carreteras de hielo requieren un cuidado verdaderamente especial, se deben seguir determinados parámetros y estar atentos al comportamiento de este suelo frío, de lo contrario un simple error puede costar la vida de los involucrados, por ello esta labor demanda personal especializado con años de entrenamiento.

   La trama nos muestra un mundo quizás desconocido para muchos espectadores, del cual ya se ha hecho un bosquejo en otras producciones cinematográficas como Wages of Fear o Sorcerer. Los protagonistas de estas cintas también tienen que realizar un recorrido realmente peligroso, pero este escenario va más allá de la ficción, tal como lo podemos observar en el canal The History Channel con su programa documental Ice Road Truckers, donde en cada temporada diferentes transportistas deben enfrentar condiciones extremas para sobrevivir y cumplir con su trabajo, son héroes anónimos que corren riesgos bajo cero jugándose la vida en cada kilómetro recorrido. El éxito de esta emisión televisiva dio paso a un videojuego con las mismas características. La emoción que conlleva este periplo más el ingenio para solventar circunstancias imperiosas y ayudar al otro son elementos que aderezan el interés del público.

   Greetings, dear community, today I want to share my impressions about Ice road. Seeing the trailer made me curious to see this film, a combination of lady and action. Jonathan Hensleigh, director and screenwriter, poses an icy scenario where some heavy cargo carriers live a journey, focusing on this risky job that is inherent in pressing situations, exposing the vulnerability of human beings. Ice roads require truly special care, certain parameters must be followed and attention to the behavior of this cold ground, otherwise a simple mistake can cost the lives of those involved, which is why this work requires specialized personnel with years of training .

   The plot shows us a world perhaps unknown to many viewers, which has already been outlined in other film productions such as Wages of Fear or Sorcerer. The protagonists of these films also have to make a really dangerous journey, but this scenario goes beyond fiction, as we can see on The History Channel with its documentary program Ice Road Truckers, where in each season different carriers must face extreme conditions to survive and do their job, they are anonymous heroes who take risks below zero risking their lives in every kilometer traveled. The success of this television broadcast gave way to a video game with the same characteristics. The emotion that this journey entails plus the ingenuity to solve compelling circumstances and help the other are elements that spice up the interest of the public.

   Un grupo de trabajadores ha quedado atrapado en una mina de diamantes tras una explosión de metano, el yacimiento se encuentra ubicado en una región lejana al norte de Canadá y para poder llegar allí necesitan rodar en caminos de hielo. Los supervivientes solo tienen unas 30 horas antes de que se les acabe el oxígeno, por lo que requieren equipos de rescate. Trasladar estos mecanismos es la misión peligrosa que debe enfrentar un conductor experto de gran tonelaje (Mike), él irá junto a su hermano Gurty y otras personas. En el transcurso de este gran esfuerzo, descubriremos los intereses ocultos que guían este rescate, además, veremos los percances que experimentarán los personajes principales (suelo quebradizo, avalanchas y fallas mecánicas que ponen en riesgo la subsistencia.) para poder cumplir con el encargo.

   Argument

   A group of workers has been trapped in a diamond mine after a methane explosion, the deposit is located in a far north region of Canada and to get there they need to roll on ice roads. Survivors only have about 30 hours before their oxygen runs out, requiring rescue teams. Moving these mechanisms is the dangerous mission that an expert heavy-duty driver (Mike) must face, he will go along with his brother Gurty and other people. In the course of this great effort, we will discover the hidden interests that guide this rescue, in addition, we will see the mishaps that the main characters will experience (brittle ground, avalanches and mechanical failures that put their livelihoods at risk) in order to fulfill the assignment.

   Liam Neeson estelariza esta obra en el papel de Mike. Este actor ya se ha consolidado como una estrella en películas de acción, sin embargo, en esta cinta podemos observar que puede cumplir otros roles sin ningún inconveniente. Es un hombre ordinario que a través de sus conocimientos y habilidades como conductor debe llevar a cabo una misión épica. Considero que consiguió tal cometido con su actuación.

   Laurence Fishburne (Jim Goldenrod) es el encargado de reclutar a varios conductores especializados para que se encarguen de la misión. No obstante, también se arriesga en esta aventura. Aunque me gusta este actor ya que lo he visto en otros largometrajes como: Matrix, Testigo Presencial o en la serie Escena del Crimen, aquí no me ha convencido pues, desde mi perspectiva, su ejecución no resulta creíble, no sucumbe ante el dolor en contextos extremos, por lo que se deshumaniza.

   Main Cast

   Liam Neeson stars in this play in the role of Mike. This actor has already established himself as a star in action movies, however, in this film we can see that he can play other roles without any problem. He is an ordinary man who through his knowledge and skills as a driver must carry out an epic mission. I believe that he achieved such a goal with his performance.

   Laurence Fishburne (Jim Goldenrod) is in charge of recruiting several specialized drivers to take on the mission. However, he also takes risks in this adventure. Although I like this actor since I have seen him in other feature films such as: Matrix, Eyewitness or in the series Crime Scene, here he has not convinced me because, from my perspective, its execution is not credible, it does not succumb to pain in extreme contexts, so it is dehumanized.

   Me sorprendió la actriz Amber Midthunder (Tantoo), pues no la conocía y se desempeñó bastante bien, es una chica aguerrida que debe posicionarse en una atmósfera laboral liderada por hombres, lo cual consigue de forma loable. La misión para ella tiene un tono personal, ya que su hermano es uno de los trabajadores que se encuentra en peligro inminente en la mina.

   Benjamin Walker (Varnay) encarna al antagonista, es un lacayo corporativo que sigue órdenes de la empresa para la cual trabaja, acompaña al equipo de rescate para sabotear la misión. No me gustó su actuación, considero que le faltaron muchos matices de profundidad a la construcción de su personaje.

   Marcus Thomas representa a Gurty, un mecánico experto y veterano de la guerra de Irak que sufre de una enfermedad conocida como afasia, un estrés postraumático producto de sus años de servicio, lo cual le impide comunicarse con eficacia. Fue acertado incluir a este personaje en la trama ya que así nos presentan las vivencias de estos soldados cuando son dados de baja. Thomas conquista una personificación notable.

   I was surprised by the actress Amber Midthunder (Tantoo), because I did not know her and she performed quite well, she is a brave girl who must position herself in a work environment led by men, which she achieves laudably. The mission for her has a personal tone, since her brother is one of the workers who is in imminent danger at the mine.

   Benjamin Walker (Varnay) plays the antagonist, he is a corporate lackey who follows orders from the company he works for, accompanies the rescue team to sabotage the mission. I did not like his performance, I think he lacked many nuances of depth in the construction of his character.

   Marcus Thomas plays Gurty, a skilled mechanic and Iraq War veteran who suffers from a condition known as aphasia, a post-traumatic stress disorder resulting from his years of service, which prevents him from communicating effectively. It was wise to include this character in the plot since that is how they present us with the experiences of these soldiers when they are discharged. Thomas conquers a remarkable impersonation.

   Opinión

   El tema central que rige los acontecimientos de este film es la codicia corporativa, los intereses del patrón están por encima de los trabajadores, incluso, de su vida. Es una realidad difícil que vivimos en escenarios actuales, los asalariados fácilmente son reemplazables ya que el componente humano no se enaltece donde la avaricia ha hecho un nido estrafalario.

   El engranaje narrativo no me parece del todo acertado ya que algunas escenas no tienen noción de verosimilitud. Los actores intentan hacer lo propio para engalanar un poco este film, pero no todos consiguen dar vigor al papel que se les ha confiado. Quizás haya algunos huecos en el guion que no permiten que la interpretación brille de forma auténtica y natural. Asimismo, los efectos visuales no son de los mejores, pero funcionan en el marco de lo aceptable.

   Opinion

   The central theme that governs the events of this film is corporate greed, the employer's interests are above the workers, even in his life. It is a difficult reality that we live in current scenarios, employees are easily replaceable since the human component is not exalted where greed has made a bizarre nest.

   The narrative gear does not seem entirely correct to me since some scenes do not have a notion of plausibility. The actors try to do the same to spruce up this film a bit, but not all of them manage to give vigor to the role entrusted to them. Perhaps there are some gaps in the script that don't allow the performance to shine through authentically and naturally. Also, the visual effects are not the best, but they work within the framework of what is acceptable.

   Un aspecto que considero especialmente emotivo es la relación entre Mike y su hermano Gurty ya que como lo he mencionado anteriormente éste sufre de una discapacidad desde su participación en la guerra. Mike debe protegerlo bajo cualquier circunstancia, apreciándose así el cariño incondicional que siente por él. Me parece oportuno que se haya incluido este argumento como trama secundaria puesto que nos invita a reflexionar sobre las diferentes circunstancias que soporta el hombre pues cada quien tiene un drama personal y no podemos juzgar al otro. Cada acción de valor debe ser reconocida siempre que vaya en función del bienestar colectivo.

   La película resulta disfrutable pues tiene buenas dosis de adrenalina y destellos de tensión bien manejadas, elementos necesarios para conservar el suspenso y, por tanto, los ojos atentos en la pantalla, no cabe dudas que este film puede mantener entretenida a la audiencia durante una hora y cuarenta y cinco minutos de metraje, sobre todo para conocer cómo serán resueltas las secuencias descriptivas que se han sugerido.

   An aspect that I consider especially emotional is the relationship between Mike and his brother Gurty since, as I mentioned before, he has suffered from a disability since his participation in the war. Mike must protect him under any circumstances, thus appreciating the unconditional love he feels for him. It seems appropriate to me that this argument has been included as a secondary plot since it invites us to reflect on the different circumstances that man endures, since each one has a personal drama and we cannot judge the other. Each action of value must be recognized as long as it is based on collective well-being.

   The film is enjoyable because it has a good dose of adrenaline and well-managed flashes of tension, elements necessary to preserve suspense and, therefore, attentive eyes on the screen, there is no doubt that this film can keep the audience entertained for an hour. and forty-five minutes of footage, especially to find out how the suggested descriptive sequences will be resolved.

   Hoy toca una reseña algo extraña porque no es la típica película a la que cualquiera de nosotros le dedicaría su tiempo en hacerla pero yo decidí arriesgarme únicamente porque me considero fanático de Liam Neeson. Esta película la vi el fin de semana que acaba de pasar en esos momentos cuando estás buscando que ver pero sin saber muy bien que es lo que quieres; de hecho lo único que me convenció fue ver la cara de Neeson.

   Today's review is a bit strange because it's not the typical movie that any of us would take the time to review, but I decided to take the risk just because I consider myself a Liam Neeson fan. I saw this movie over the weekend when you're looking for something to watch but don't really know what you want; in fact the only thing that convinced me was seeing Neeson's face.

   Cuando digo que no es la típica película me refiero a que no estamos hablando de un gran titulo que está recaudando millones de dólares en taquilla o sus números en las plataformas de streaming están por la nubes, no; hablo de una historia que se aplica para un domingo en la tarde pero que igual te va a atrapar y te va a mantener muy tenso durante un poco más de una hora y media que tiene de duración. Hablemos un poco entonces de este último film del gran Liam Neeson.

   When I say it's not the typical movie, I mean that we are not talking about a big title that is grossing millions of dollars at the box office or its numbers on streaming platforms are sky high, no; I'm talking about a story that applies to a Sunday afternoon but that will still catch you and keep you very tense for a little over an hour and a half that lasts. Let's talk a bit about this latest film by the great Liam Neeson.

   La trama de esta película es muy simple: en una mina, en la parte más al norte de Canadá, ocurre una explosión dejando atrapados a un grupo de mineros, estos quedan bajo tierra lógicamente sin poder salir y con los niveles de oxigeno bastantes escasos. Es aquí donde entra Mike McCann (Liam Neeson) junto con su hermano Gurty (Marcus Thomas) quienes buscando trabajo se consiguen con esta urgencia de llevar cierto equipo pesado hasta dicho lugar a través del delgado hielo de abril y así poder salvar las vidas de aquellas personas.

   The plot of this film is very simple: in a mine, in the northernmost part of Canada, an explosion occurs trapping a group of miners, these are trapped underground logically unable to get out and with oxygen levels quite low. This is where Mike McCann (Liam Neeson) comes in, along with his brother Gurty (Marcus Thomas) who, looking for work, find themselves with the urgency of carrying some heavy equipment to the place through the thin April ice in order to save the lives of those people.

   La cosa es que a lo largo del camino se encontrarán con ciertos obstáculos que harán mucho más interesante la historia y por tanto mucho más tensa y llena de acción. Lo primero que tengo que decir es que si vale la pena verla, yo que soy una persona bastante critica con las películas esta la considero una muy buena opción cuando no tengas nada concreto o decidido para ver.

   The thing is that along the way you will find certain obstacles that will make the story much more interesting and therefore much more tense and full of action. The first thing I have to say is that if it is worth seeing, I am a pretty critical person with movies this one I consider it a very good option when you have nothing concrete or decided to see.

   Pero, por que digo esto? - pues porque es una historia diferente en donde no verán a Neeson dando golpizas. Las películas de este irlandés siempre tienen un mismo fondo y es sin duda la acción, la sensación de estar buscando algo a contrarreloj, la incertidumbre del no saber que va a pasar porque tienes todas las probabilidades en tu contra, esas son las características de sus películas y es por eso que son tan entretenidas, cuando la terminé de ver no sentí que perdí mi tiempo.

   But why do I say this? - Because it's a different story where you won't see Neeson beating people up. The films of this Irishman always have the same background and it is undoubtedly the action, the feeling of being looking for something against the clock, the uncertainty of not knowing what is going to happen because you have all the odds against you, those are the characteristics of his films and that is why they are so entertaining, when I finished watching it I did not feel I wasted my time.

   Entiendo que a muchas personas puede que no les guste únicamente por el contexto y es que estamos hablando de camioneros arriesgando sus vidas pero es que amigos, eso sucede en la vida real, hay muchas personas que se dedican a ese trabajo el cual es uno muy duro en donde literalmente te puedes hundir con todo y camión. De ahí a que me llamara la atención ya que si bien no está basada en una historia real son cosas que estoy seguro que suceden día a día.

   I understand that many people may not like it just because of the context and we are talking about truck drivers risking their lives, but friends, that happens in real life, there are many people who are dedicated to this job which is a very hard one where you can literally go down with everything and your truck. That's why it caught my attention because even though it's not based on a true story, these are things that I'm sure happen every day.

   Esta película fue escrita y dirigida por Jonathan Hensleigh quien fue el que estuvo a cargo de "Duro de Matar 3" y "Armageddon" por lo que como les comenté la acción es algo que está garantizado. A Liam Neeson acá lo veremos un poco igual que siempre, molesto, con el ceño fruncido y queriendo logra el objetivo a como de lugar; si bien es cierto que a él se le dan mejor los personajes donde está en una constante pelea cuerpo a cuerpo aquí no es muy distinto, aquí el combate es contra el tiempo y el implacable hielo.

   This movie was written and directed by Jonathan Hensleigh who was in charge of "Die Hard 3" and "Armageddon" so as I said the action is something that is guaranteed. Liam Neeson here we will see him a bit like always, annoyed, with a scowl and wanting to achieve the goal at any cost; while it is true that he is better at characters where he is in a constant melee fight here is not much different, here the fight is against time and the relentless ice.

   Laurence Fishburne hace una breve aparición también, nada relevante pero si considero que es el detonante de muchas de las cosas que pasarán a lo largo de la trama. Hay que entender que este tipo de películas que no son tan estelares son completamente normales en la vida de un actor, por el hecho de que hagan algo como este flim, que repito NO ES MALO, no quiere decir que sus carreras están acabadas, eso es algo que hay que desmitificar.

   Laurence Fishburne makes a brief appearance as well, nothing relevant but I consider that he is the trigger for many of the things that will happen throughout the plot. You have to understand that this kind of movies that are not so stellar are completely normal in the life of an actor, just because they do something like this flim, which I repeat IS NOT BAD, does not mean that their careers are over, that is something that must be demystified.

   Para concluir, es una película decente que te mantendrá activo mientras la ves. Liam Neeson no sale en films malos, puede que no todos estén a la misma altura, pero al final terminan cumpliendo su propósito que para mi no es otro que entretener, a Neeson molesto y queriendo hacer justicia o cobrar venganza es algo que siempre vas a querer ver.

   To conclude, it's a decent movie that will keep you active while watching it. Liam Neeson doesn't go out in bad films, they may not all be at the same level, but in the end they end up fulfilling their purpose which for me is none other than to entertain, Neeson being annoying and wanting to do justice or get revenge is something you're always going to want to see.

   7/10 le doy a esta película. Buenos efectos, la trama en la parte final si puede que haya sido un poco predecible pero es que este tipo de películas SIEMPRE terminan de la misma manera. Un buen termómetro para mi es que tan tenso o que tanto te indignas, por ejemplo, al ver una escena; si te ocurre es que la película hizo un poco su trabajo y a mi me ocurrió. La pueden ver en Netflix y como siempre les dejo el tráiler para que le echen un ojo.

   7/10 I give this movie. Good effects, the plot in the final part may have been a little predictable but this kind of movies ALWAYS end in the same way. A good thermometer for me is how tense or how much you get indignant, for example, when watching a scene; if it happens to you is that the movie did a little bit of its job and it happened to me. You can watch it on Netflix and as always I leave the trailer for you to take a look.
