Desde hace años, tratamos al planeta como si fuera resistente a todo, han sido años abusando de los recursos naturales, el daño causado a la naturaleza y placeta en general aumento en la Revolución Industrial, puede ser que a en algún momento estuviéramos ignorantes de este daño, pero con el tiempo y el aumento de conociendo, se hizo evidente lo que hacíamos, hace días vi una película de tantas que nos recuerda que la tierra esta gritando por todo el daño recibido y ya los efectos se están volviendo en contra de nosotros mismos, ya que hasta ahora, no tenemos otro lugar a donde irnos en caso de que acabemos con esta planeta, esta película es “Geotormenta”

Esta película protagonizada por Gerard Butler, nos plantea un futuro muy posible en el que el clima de planeta esta tan afectado que se voltea en contra de la civilización humana, provocando o trayendo como consecuencia: frio extremo, altas temperaturas, huracanes de magnitudes sorprendentes , granizo, tsunamis, en fin, todo lo que puedan imaginar sobre fenómenos climáticos, pero a un nivel tan catastrófico que los científicos de todos los países deciden unirse, dejando de lado sus diferencias para crear un sistema de satélites que neutralicen estos fenómenos y así estabilizar el clima.

Como resultado de toda esa unión, nace “El niño Holandés” una base central desde la que operan satélites que cubren desde el espacio los países estabilizando el clima, la película comienza con la audiencia ante un grupo de senadores de EEUU, del creador de este proyecto, Jake Lawson (Gerard Butler), el mismo al ser exageradamente sincero y muy poco o nada diplomático, queda fuera del proyecto, lo que ocasiona también una fractura familiar, ya que su hermano menor Max Lawson (Jim Sturgess), que trabaja para el Secretario de Estado, termina encargado del proyecto o de su reorganización.

Así, pasan varios años y repentinamente comienzan a ocurrir fenómenos, entre ellos un pueblo totalmente congelado en el desierto, ante este y otros eventos alarmantes, se percatan de que algo no anda bien con este sistema y deciden enviar a su creador a ver que sucede, ya que es el único que lo conoce en completo detalle.
De esta manera, comienzan una serie de sucesos desde la muerte de uno de los miembros del equipo del satélite, una red de intrigas donde están implicados las personas menos esperadas, esta película está llena de momentos de acción que te mantendrán sentado frente al televisor y te harán, como digo yo, trotar sentado.

Ahora bien, para aquellos que aman todo lo relativo a sistemas es impresionante ver como a veces personas infravaloras en algunos sitios, logran bloquear sistemas, para conseguir una comunicación limpia, o lo que llamaríamos encriptada, también es entretenido ver la astucia e inteligencia de los dos hermanos para comunicarse, ya que se conocían muy bien y lograron trasmitirse un mensaje sin que otros lo supieran, así ambos al realizar sus respectivas investigaciones se dieron cuenta de que no trataba de una simple falla.
Esta es una película que cumple su función, entretener, además de que nos hace reflexionar sobre el daño que le causamos al planeta, además de mostrar como muchas veces, esas peleas familiares que son prácticamente inevitables, se pueden superar con comunicación y tolerancia, también nos ejemplifica la importancia del trabajo en equipo, ya que, sin ayuda de algunos miembros del equipo de la base, no se hubieran logrado muchas cosas.

Algo que me toco mucho como madre, fue la relación de Jake con su hija Hannah Lawson (Talitha Bateman), quien aun cuando sabe que su padre nunca cumple sus promesas, espera llena de esperanza, que este logre salir de la base central del Niño Holandés, para volverse a ver. Si eres amante de la ciencia ficción, suspenso y acción, esta película es perfecta para ti.
Para concluir, solo espero que no veas lo que ocurre con el planeta en esta película, como algo imposible, ya que de que el clima en el planeta está cambiando, debido al caliento global, ¿es un hecho real, ¿Qué pasara con certeza?, no lo sabemos, pero no es un secreto para nadie, que su equilibro está afectado. Now, for those who love everything related to systems it is impressive to see how sometimes undervalued people in some places, manage to block systems, to get a clean communication, or what we would call encrypted, it is also entertaining to see the cunning and intelligence of the two brothers to communicate, as they knew each other very well and managed to transmit a message without others knowing it, so both to conduct their respective investigations realized that it was not a simple failure.
This is a film that fulfills its function, to entertain, besides making us reflect on the damage we cause to the planet, besides showing how many times, those family fights that are practically inevitable, can be overcome with communication and tolerance, it also exemplifies the importance of teamwork, since, without the help of some members of the base team, many things would not have been achieved.
Something that really touched me as a mother, was Jake's relationship with his daughter Hannah Lawson (Talitha Bateman), who even though she knows that her father never keeps his promises, hopes full of hope that he manages to get out of the central base of the Dutch Boy, to see each other again. If you are a lover of science fiction, suspense and action, this movie is perfect for you.
To conclude, I just hope you don't see what is happening to the planet in this movie as something impossible, since the planet's climate is changing due to global warming, is a real fact, what will happen with certainty, we don't know, but it is not a secret to anyone, that its balance is affected. Judging from the fervor with which the friend recommended the movie, I expected a lot more but I wouldn't exactly say I got what I expected. 
A trip to space follows this decision. While on earth, the assassination of the president, who is a walking and breathing security code for the Dutch Boy satellite, unfolds. 
While the movie featured impressive cast members, the characters were utterly underdeveloped and lacked depth. On the other hand, the script of the movie was quite predictable and a bit cheesy. Right from the very first scene, I could tell what move each character was going to make and at what point. Irrespective of this, I still stuck with the movie because the more each scene unraveled, the more pacifying it was to watch. 
I would give the film a 5.5/10 rating because although it wasn't an extremely terrible watch, it wasn't so appalling either.
