Without spoiling anything, what seems to be nothing more than a dumb disaster movie, turns out to be a dumb disaster movie with some very interesting, *out-there* ideas in sci-fi. Dumb-disaster-movie dialogue and time-padding events aside, the ideas presented, along with the visuals, makes it for a very enjoyable spectacle to watch by the end.
