Before I had the idea that a Sitcom was a TV show that had background laughter after a funny situation, and although this is a very used characteristic in this type of shows, I realized with certain series that this is not necessary to build a good television series, for example, there are extremely good series that are enjoyable without said background laughter, such as: Malcolm in the Middle, Young Sheldon and one that I love too much called Superstore (by Justin Spitzer).
Antes me hacía la idea que una Sitcom era un programa de TV que tenía risas de fondo luego de una situación graciosa, y aunque esta es una característica muy usada en este tipo de programas, me di cuenta con ciertas series que esto no es necesario para construir una buena serie televisiva, por ejemplo, existe series sumamente buenas que se hacen disfrutar sin dichas risas de fondo, como por ejemplo: Malcolm in the middle, Young Sheldon y una que me encanta demasiado que se llama Superstore (de Justin Spitzer).
I also thought that animations didn't qualify for this, but then I realized that there are obviously many that do, for example: F is for family, Trailer Park Boys (The Animated Series), Rick and Morty, (Dis)enchantment, etc... I have really been nourished by many similar series that still fascinate me to this day.
También creía que las animaciones no calificaban para esto, pero luego me di cuenta de que obviamente existen muchas que lo son, por ejemplo: F is for family, Trailer Park Boys (The Animated Series), Rick and Morty, (Des)encanto, etc... Realmente me he nutrido de muchas series similares que hasta hoy en día me siguen fascinando.
On the other hand, this is one of the genres I enjoy most on TV. It's truly relaxing to laugh for a while (or for a long time) with one of these series, with the antics of the characters who appear in them, or not. Having said that, they make it very difficult for me to choose a specific one for this CineTV contest, which is why I'm taking the liberty of choosing The Nanny. It's not my favorite—in fact, it's TBBT—but it's so generic and ridiculously well-known that I'm not going to choose it as my entry.
Por otro lado, este es uno de los géneros que más disfruto en la TV, realmente es muy relajante reírte por un rato (o por mucho tiempo) con una de estas series con las ocurrencias que tienen los personajes que frecuentan o no en ellas. Y diciendo esto, me la ponen muy difícil para decidir una en específico para este concurso de CineTV, por eso me tomo el atrevimiento de elegir a The Nanny, no es mi favorita, de hecho es TBBT, pero es tan genérica y ridículamente conocida como para elegirla como mi entrada.
The Nanny follows the life of Nanny Fran Fine, a fashionable nanny who, after finding herself unemployed, stumbles upon an opportunity to work with the famous family of a Broadway producer. The Nanny shows us a palpable, unattainable romance between the boss and the nanny, which continues for six seasons.
The Nanny sigue la vida de la nana Fran Fine, una niñera fashion que luego de encontrarse desempleada se topa con la oportunidad de trabajar con una famosa familia de un productor de Broadway. La nana nos muestra un palpable e inalcanzable romance entre el jefe y la niñera y se mantiene así durante 6 temporadas.
What I like most about this series is its "rich people" humor and the showbiz of that era. Nanny Fine stays on top of everything popular, and that gives the series its special touch. And, obviously, I must mention that this series is extremely popular for being a fashion icon, and I'm not just referring to Nanny, because everyone has misinterpreted that this show was fashionable because of Fran Fine. In fact, both the nanny, her mother, CC, and many of the personalities who appear here had a certain amount of glamour and style.
Lo que más me gusta de esta serie es su humor de “ricos” y sobre la farándula de aquella época, la nana Fine se mantiene al tanto de todo lo que es popular y eso hace que la serie tenga su toque especial. Y, obviamente, debo nombrar que esta serie es sumamente popular por ser un icono de la moda, y no me refiero solamente a la Nana, porque todo el mundo ha malinterpretado que este show estuvo a la moda por Fran Fine, de hecho, tanto la niñera, como su mamá, CC y muchas personalidades que aquí aparecen, tuvieron al margen del glamour y el estilo.
This series is as famous as TBBT, but unlike the latter, The Nanny knew how to make the most of its characters, having special guests in every episode. But what I liked most, and what I consider to be the best, is the relationship that left everyone speechless in its finale. I'm referring to the relationship between Niles (The Reckless Butler) and CC. In fact, some claim this is the true plot of the series, and not the expected romance between Fran and Maxwell Sheffield.
Esta serie es tan famosa, al igual que TBBT, pero a diferencia de esta, The Nanny supo aprovechar a sus personajes al máximo, teniendo invitados especiales en todos los episodios. Pero lo que más me gusto y considero que es lo mejor, es la relación que en sus finales dejó a todos boquiabiertos. Me refiero a la relación entre Niles (El imprudente Mayordomo) y CC, de hecho hay quienes aseguran que esta es la verdadera trama en la serie, y no el romance que se preveía entre Fran y Maxwell Sheffiel.
I chose this series because I've been watching it for the 4th time. In fact, I'm on the second season, and I'm increasingly surprised by how clever the comedy is. It's not repetitive, and it undoubtedly remains one of the best shows on television. The Nanny is one of the television series I think everyone should watch. We all deserve and should know this story that makes you laugh more than once in every episode.
Elegí esta serie porque he estado viéndola por 4ta vez, de hecho voy en la segunda temporada y me sorprende cada vez más lo ingenioso que es la comedia, no son repetitivos, y sin duda se mantiene hasta el día de hoy como una de las mejores obras de la televisión. The Nanny es de las series de televisión que considero que todos debemos ver, todos merecemos y debemos conocer esta historia que te hace reír en más de una oportunidad con todos sus episodios.
