Hello, dear friends at @MoviesTvShows! Greetings and blessings. Today I’m here to tell you about a movie I saw a while back, but since I saw it was airing again, I got to enjoy it with my son. I wanted to stop by and share a brief review and my thoughts on it—it’s The Road to El Dorado.
It’s a story about a civilization—a city where everything was said to be made of gold—that was believed to be nothing more than a myth, until one day two friends accidentally discover that it’s actually real, but that there’s more to it than just gold. In this story, we first meet two good friends, Miguel and Tulio, who rely on each other to survive on the streets by gambling—though not legally, since the dice they roll to win are rigged in their favor. Along the way, they discover a map that could lead them to a city of gold, which would be very useful to them as they need to improve their financial situation.
But while they were planning to get there, they were captured and taken by ship to a place where they would work as slaves; however, thanks to their cunning and the help of a horse, they managed to escape the ship and reached an island that resembled the one on the map. As they venture further in, they discover a civilization that turns out to be the City of Gold, and by a twist of fate, they are brought inside it and mistaken for gods due to a mix-up in the process. Believing themselves to be gods, Miguel and Tulio seize the opportunity to escape their troubles and get as much gold as they can, leave that place, and start a new life, but they didn’t count on Chel, a native of the place, figuring out who they are; regardless, she helps them so she too can escape the city.
Although it seems easy for them to pretend to be something they’re not—the devout priest who believes the gods will come to bring justice and punish the wicked—he will keep them on their toes and watch over them to ensure they fulfill the prophecies he has laid out. Es una historia en donde una civilización considerada como una ciudad en donde todo era de oro, se creía un simple mito, hasta que un día dos amigos sin querer descubren que si es una realidad pero que también se oculta algo más que oro, en esta historia comenzamos conociendo a dos buenos amigos Miguel y Tulio, quienes se apoyan para sobrevivir en la calle haciendo apuestas pero no de manera legal, ya que los dados que lanzan para poder ganar están a caer en beneficios a ellos, cuando son descubiertos en el camino descubren un mapa que los puede llevar a una ciudad de oro, lo cual les resultaría muy útil ya que requieren mejorar su economía.
Pero en el transcurso de pensar llegar a ello son apresados y llevados en barco a un lugar donde trabajaran como esclavos, aunque gracias a su astucia y ayuda de un caballo salen del barco hasta llegar a una isla, la cual se asemeja a la que sale en el mapa, adentrándose más descubren una civilización que resulta ser la ciudad de oro, y que por cosas del destino son llevados dentro de ella y considerados unos dioses por una confusión del proceso, sobre todo creyendo que eran dioses, Miguel y Tulio aprovechan la oportunidad para zafarse de sus problemas y lograr conseguir el oro que puedan, salir de ahí y tener una nueva vida, pero no contaban que Chel una nativa del lugar se daría cuenta quienes son, sin importarle ello les ayuda para lograr ella también salir de la ciudad.
Aunque todo parece resultar fácil aparentar ser lo que no son, el sacerdote fiel creyente que los dioses llegarían para hacer justicia y castigar a los malos, los mantendrá a pruebas y vigilando para que cumplan con las profecías que él ha indicado, sin embargo, para Miguel y Tulio se les será algo sencillo soportar ello al menos hasta cierto punto, pero en el camino aprenderán que mentir tiene sus pro y contra, que el querer obtener algo por la fuerza no siempre da como resultado algo bueno, que al contrario puede traer más problemas de los que esperas, que el creer tanto en un dios y sus reglas ocasionando que juegos con eso, puede traer resentimiento y fanatismo que a la final ocasione más daño de lo que crees, sobre todo a inocentes que no tienen que ver nada en el asunto.

Muy buena a todos los amantes del cine, el día de hoy vi de nuevo aquella película animada que años atrás fue parte de la infancia de muchos, aunque claro que viéndola ahora con ojos mas de críticos.
He de decir que la disfrute un montón, cada minuto del filme me llenaba de alegría al punto que la verdad ya ni recordaba muy bien de que era la travesía de aquellos héroes, deslumbrándome una vez mas con su paso a paso en la travesía.
Very good to all movie lovers, today I saw again that animated film that years ago was part of the childhood of many, although of course now seeing it with more critical eyes.
I must say that I enjoyed it a lot, every minute of the film filled me with joy to the point that the truth is that I didn't even remember very well what the journey of those heroes was about, dazzling me once again with their step by step journey.
Desde el comienzo de esta película conocemos a Tulio y Miguel, y créeme el carisma de estos dos amigos es lo que desborda en esta aventura por doquier, uno es el inteligente y calculador y el otro es el divertido y algo tonto, pero ese es el chiste de este duo ya que se complementan al estar el uno para el otro en las buenas y en las malas.
Tulio y Miguel son dos pequeños estafadores que viven de artimañas robando gente, en este caso nos se exponen como apostadores de dinero jugando a los dados...la cosa iba relativamente bien cuando sus oponentes deciden cambiar por un juego de dados nuevos para la próxima apuesta y pese a que ganaron la ultima apuesta de forma limpia, por desgracia en medio del jubilo dejan caer sus antiguos dados adulterados, así que sin mas deciden montar un espectáculo donde ellos dos fingen pelearse entre ellos, para distraer tanto a los maleantes con los que apostaron como a los guardias de la ciudad que quieren capturarlos, porque ellos fueron sorprendidos en el acto.
En medio de la persecución, deciden tentar la suerte y saltar de gran altura para caer en unos barriles con agua que se encuentran abajo, por suerte logan sobrevivir y se esconden en barriles, por desgracia estos objetos son subidos a un barco y entre la carga pesada no pueden liberarse fácilmente.

Por desgracia son descubiertos por el capitán del barco el cual es Hernán Cortes, a ellos los encadenan y planean venderlos como esclavos en la próxima parada en escala del barco.
A este punto del filme nuestros héroes están deprimidos pues saben que no hay forma de escapar al punto de que sus vidas están a punto de terminar como esclavos en alguna plantación de cuba, por suerte Miguel logra convencer a un caballo en el barco llamado Altivo a cambio de darle una manzana, y pese a la poca credibilidad que Tulio ponía al plan de Miguel, el caballo sorprende a todos entregando las llaves de la prisión para ser liberados.
Ya libres en cubierta roban un vote salvavidas y se lanzan a la mar, por desgracia el caballo también los sigue pues Miguel no le entrego su manzana...o mas bien si lo hizo pero esta reboto en varios objetos hasta llegar al vote de nuevo.

En este Punto Tulio esta muy fatigado del viaje y culpa a Miguel de llevarlo a un lugar sin salida, a una ruta sin ninguna ciudad de Oro al final del mapa, ya abatidos piensan que es el fin del viaje cuando de repente una chica indígena se presenta ante ellos.

Chel para segurar su participación en la estafa, seduce a Tulio para así garantizar que huira con alguno de los dos y con el oro recolectado.
Y aunque los dos amigos prometieron No entrometerse con la chica por el bien del plan, pues Tulio termina siendo victima de sus propias promesas.

Entre el Shaman llamado Tzekel-Kan y el lider de la ciudad hay una cierta rivalidad por disputarse quien debe ser el favorito de los 2 dioses, el shaman es algo retorcido pues quiere mantener las viejas costumbres de elaborar sacrificios humanos en forma sangrienta en honor a los dioses, en cambio el líder quiere es actos pacifistas.
La aventura en esta película es bastante cargada de expectativas si logran o no salirse con la suya, lo cual es huir de la ciudad con la mayor cantidad de oro.
Añado que el filme pese a la época en que se filmo tiene una muy buena animación, se ven movimientos muy fluidos y pues las canciones no son muchas en la película y tampoco es que sean molestas, (digo comparándolo con películas Disney de hoy en día con spam de repertorio musical que se la pasan cantando cada 2 segundos).
En este filme la música es decorativa y es usada para narrar algo en pocos segundos, así que no molesta para nada ya que son cortas y no tienen el fin (de venderte el soundtrack a la salida del cine).

Lo único que si pareció algo distinto es que el la versión Blu-ray si le metieron un cambio drástico de paleta de colores, pasando a ser muy fluorescentes, así que si deseas ver esta película en su formato viejo, la verdad recomendaría la versión clásica son tonos algo rojizos pero aceptables.
Ya es cuestión de gustos pero dejo la experiencia por si la ves en HD notaras un coloreado algo fuerte de tonalidades que puede molestar a la vista.
Posdata: la película es super disfrutable, tal ves en su lanzamiento no fue muy llamativa, pero hoy en día si se supo mantener con el tiempo llegando a ser bastante entretenida.
Se que poco o nada recuerdan de este filme por lo antiguo que puede ser, por eso la reseña contiene algo de spoiler para ayudarlos a echar memoria, así que si quieres verla disfrútala en tu formato favorito.

The only thing that seemed a little different is that the Blu-ray version if they put a drastic change of color palette, becoming very fluorescent, so if you want to see this movie in its old format, the truth would recommend the classic version are somewhat reddish tones but acceptable.
It is a matter of taste but I leave the experience if you see it in HD you will notice a somewhat strong coloring of shades that can bother the eye.
P.S.: the movie is super enjoyable, maybe in its release it was not very striking, but nowadays it was able to keep up with the time becoming quite entertaining.

Esta película me gusto muchísimo porque permite ver el cambio de dos amigos que gracias a su vida tan dura se vieron obligados a convertirse en estafadores ambiciosos por el oro, pero al poco tiempo de estar en este pueblo todo cambio, empezaron a sentir amor por el pueblo, a defender a la personas quienes los cuidaron y atendieron, a verlos como familia y amigos colocándolos como prioridad, bueno mis querido amigos espero de todo corazón les hasta gustado esta pequeña reseña, nos vemos en un próxima publicación gracias por regalarme un ratico de su tiempo

La mayoría de estas películas han hecho uso de la animación 3D, tal como hace Pixar, así mismo hubo también colaboraciones Stop-Motion con Aardman Animations, tal como la oscarizada "Wallace y Gromit: La Batalla de los Vegetales", pero hay una época en los inicios del estudio en que varias de las películas realizadas fueron hechas con animación 2D.
En esa época, salieron las películas "El Príncipe de Egipto", "José: El Rey de los Sueños", "Spirit: El Corcel Indomable", "Simbad: La Leyenda de los Siete Mares" y probablemente la más reconocida de aquella época: "El Camino hacia el Dorado".

El humor de la película es, a mi parecer, una primera fase de un tipo de humor que DreamWorks ha utilizado en más de una ocasión, donde resaltan un ambiente cargado de fantasía pero protagonizado por personajes graciosos que rompan con lo que se acostumbra a ver en esas historias (tal como harían después en casos como "Kung Fu Panda", "Shrek" o "Megamente"). En este caso, tenemos a los españoles Tulio y Miguel (Que pese a ser españoles del siglo XV, realmente pueden sentirse como personajes de la vida cotidiana) que se adentran en la misteriosa cultura de El Dorado, con costumbres y rituales sagrados que desconocen y que los pondrán a prueba en más de una ocasión.
The movie is a typical children's adventure where funny characters, humorous situations, the thrill of fantasy and catchy songs predominate. All these elements earn the film a special place in the memory of those who enjoyed it from their childhood.
The humor of the film is, in my opinion, a first phase of a type of humor that DreamWorks has used on more than one occasion, where they highlight a fantasy-laden environment but starring funny characters that break with what is usually seen in those stories (as they would later do in cases such as "Kung Fu Panda", "Shrek" or "Megamind"). In this case, we have the Spaniards Tulio and Miguel (who, despite being Spaniards from the 15th century, can really feel like characters from everyday life) who enter the mysterious culture of El Dorado, with sacred customs and rituals that are unknown to them and that will put them to the test on more than one occasion.
La película es acompañada por una variedad de canciones compuestas por Elton John y Tim Rice, interpretadas en su mayoría por el primero de ellos (A excepción de la canción "Qué Duro es Ser Deidad" que es interpretada por los actores protagonistas).
No es la primera vez que dicho dúo trabaja en la composición de una banda sonora para una película animada, pues pocos años antes ya había trabajado con Disney en la banda sonora de "El Rey León". En "El Camino hacia El Dorado", logran nuevamente que sus canciones generen emoción en el espectador, así como darle un goce que le permita disfrutarlas aún años después, y aún con mayor edad.
Cabe destacar que en el doblaje al español latino, las canciones fue versionadas por el cantante mexicano Manuel Mijares.
La más destacada de esa banda sonora es, definitivamente, "Qué Duro es ser Deidad".

El Camino hacia El Dorado no llega a estar entre mis favoritas de DreamWorks, pero es sin duda una divertida película con la que se puede pasar un muy buen rato. Su forma de reflejar una cultura prehispánica ficticia (que me recuerda un poco a "Las Locuras del Emperador" de Disney por sus referentes culturales) puede ser algo estereotípica, pero no deja de ser simpática y sencilla.

The Road to El Dorado doesn't quite rank among my favorites from DreamWorks, but it's certainly a fun movie to have a good time with. Its way of reflecting a fictional pre-Hispanic culture (which reminds me a bit of Disney's The Emperor's New Groove for its cultural references) may be a bit stereotypical, but it's still nice and funny.

Analysis

Los demás personajes también tuvieron un gran desarrollo, Chel me pareció ideal para complementar al dúo de "malechores", el jefe Tanabok que cae demasiado bien y Altivo, el corcel, es hilarante y se ganará tu corazón rápidamente.

El guión y el desarrollo de la trama es muy sencillo y llega a ser predecible, aunque a pesar de ser una película para niños, el humor es bastante fresco y con algunas bromas en doble sentido, que ahora mayor las entiendo mucho mejor, jajaja. Otro cosa es como muchas cintas infantiles, te deja una valiosa lección y te deja con ganas de querer ser mejor.
