Hola comunidad, que bueno verlos de nuevo por aquí. Hoy les traigo esta película que es muy divertida de ver ya que es de aventuras.
Así que vayan por su pipocas y comencemos.
RESUMEN
Todo inicia allá por el año 1519 en España, cuando Hernán Cortez inició sus expediciones hacia las tierras de México y en la búsqueda de tesoros.
Aparecen nuestros dos personajes principales, Miguel y Tulio, dos jóvenes apostadores que se pasaban su vida de aventura en aventura y engañando a las personas a través de juegos de azar.
Pero un día la gente se da cuenta de eso y quieren encarcelarlos, pero ellos muy astutos arman toda una escena para que parezca que Miguel había engañado a Tulio y viceversa, así que logran escapar.
Para su mala suerte (o quizá no), terminan en uno de los barcos de la tripulación de Cortez y al ser encontrados los tratan como traidores a la corona así que deciden castigarlos llevándolos a trabajar al campo.
Como ya había iniciado el viaje los llevaron a un calabozo dentro del barco. Desesperados por salir tratan de idear un plan y lo único que se les ocurre es hacer que un caballo que estaba afuera les traiga algún tipo de fierro para abrir la reja.
No contaron con que el caballo era súper inteligente que les lleva la llave y logran escapar saltando al mar, pero el animal los siguió así que emprenden el viaje para regresar a España.
Estuvieron mucho tiempo varados en el mar sin encontrar tierra hasta que un día llegan a una isla y deciden ir a investigar. Resulta que en una de sus estafas había obtenido un mapa de un nuevo mundo donde les dijeron que había mucho oro, y resultó ser ese lugar.
Algo renuentes deciden buscar El Dorado, esa ciudad que aparecía en el mapa y si no, al menos verían por dónde llegar a su país.
Cada parte que recorrían estaba descrita en el mapa así que cada vez se emocionaban más por llegar y encontrar esta ciudad, pero en el último punto ven que ya no había más camino por dónde ir. En eso aparece una joven que estaba siendo perseguida por unos guardias, la atrapan y también se llevan a Miguel y Tulio.
Resulta que ese lugar era como la entrada de toda la ciudad así que pasan por todo un río para llegar al fin. Al entrar ven que todo brillaba de un color dorado y que los habitantes se asombraban de verlos a ellos.
El jefe y el sacerdote del pueblo los reciben como dioses ya que antes, se había predicho que hombres de tez blanca llegarían a ese lugar para purificarlo.
Miguel y Tulio confundidos pero astutos, deciden seguir el juego para que así no sean asesinados. Entonces comienza toda una fiesta en honor a las deidades presentes, comida, bebida y tesoros.
Nuevamente idearon un nuevo plan, hacerse pasar por estos dioses, obtener sus riquezas y volver siendo ricos a España. Pero no contaron con que la joven que fue perseguida al inicio (Chel) estaba oyendo todo eso y a cambio de su silencio acordaron que ella también estaría implicada en aquel plan.
El jefe Tanabok, los recibió muy bien a los dioses porque él creía que eran seres iluminados y que purificarían el pueblo, pero de una manera positiva y espiritual. Mientras que el sacerdote Tzekel-Kan creía que los dioses iban a castigar a todo aquel que tenía pecados y así purificarían sus almas.
Cada uno tenía distintos pensamientos, pero trataron de llevarse bien con Miguel y Tulio para que se hiciera su voluntad.
Mientras tanto Miguel, Tulio y Chel, disfrutaron de todos los regalos y ofrendas que el pueblo les otorgaba. Hasta que deciden que ya deben partir hacia su país, entonces piden que se les construya una gran embarcación para poder llevar todo su tesoro.
Pero pasa algo, por un lado, Miguel se enamoró por completo de este pueblo y empieza a dudar si quedarse o no. Mientras que Tulio se enamora de Chel y trata de apurar los preparativos para su partida.
Al no tener en claro lo que los dos amigos querían, se enojan ambos por no pensar en el otro así que deciden separarse y que cada uno haga lo que quiera.
Por otro lado, el sacerdote Tzekel-Kan descubre que estos dos no eran lo que decían ser así que decide tomar venganza por su cuenta, pero logran vencerlo y tirarlo por un precipicio.
Llega el día del viaje de regreso, pero uno de los guardias de la ciudad llega donde el jefe y anuncia que Tzekel-Kan está vivo y que está guiando a muchos hombres para que lleguen hasta el lugar.
Miguel y Tulio saben que se trata de Cortez y que querrá apoderarse de toda la riqueza de este pueblo, así que deciden ayudarlos para que no encuentren el camino. Logran sellar la entrada como pueden y ellos también terminan saliendo de ese lugar.
Gracias a ellos se salva el pueblo y deciden emprender el viaje de retorno a España.

OPINIÓN PERSONAL
Es una película llena de aventuras y muy cómica, me gusta mucho ver a estos amigos recorriendo los caminos hasta llegar a esta gran ciudad.
La película no dice, pero imagino que ellos se conocieron desde mucho antes y al no tener familia se hicieron más que amigos, hermanos.
Además, sobrevivieron en las calles, sólo con un par de dados cargados, porque apostaban con eso y como siempre iban a ganar les era fácil robar dinero a otras personas.
Y como es de suponer aquel hombre que ya no tenía dinero decidió ofrecer su mapa de esta ciudad que terminó siendo su nuevo destino. Yo me pregunto, cómo habrá conseguido ese documento y al parecer era adicto al juego jeje porque yo habría parado en ese punto.
Estos dos amigos se salvaron de muchas cosas, iban a ser mandados a otro país para hacer trabajos pesados, pero gracias a este caballo, llamado Altivo, lograron escapar. Y todo por una simple manzana que le ofrecieron a cambio, se nota que no comía mucho jeje.
Algo que en un principio me molestó fue que ellos se hicieran pasar por dioses, pero al menos trataron de ser justos. Porque en ese pueblo eran duramente castigados quienes cometían alguna falta.
Esto lo dirigía el sacerdote quien al parecer tenía más poder para decidir todas esas cosas ya que decía que los dioses querían tal castigo o tal ofrenda, entonces podía actuar a su gusto. Pero por otro lado el jefe del pueblo, era más tranquilo y sólo quería que su pueblo estuviera bien.
Lo que me parece súper interesante es que él también se dio cuenta de que Miguel y Tulio no eran dioses, pero lo que no entiendo bien es por qué no dijo nada y por qué seguía tratándolos como tal.
Quizá como él era más pacífico prefirió llevar las cosas con tranquilidad, hasta aconsejó a Miguel sobre su amistad con Tulio, esto me parece muy interesante, la forma de actuar de este señor y creo que era un gran líder para su pueblo.
Pero su pueblo tenía miedo del sacerdote y más cuando llegaron los dioses porque había aumentado los castigos y otras normas duras para todo aquel que no hiciera caso a sus peticiones. Quería provocar miedo a través de la muerte de las personas.
En ese sentido, Miguel y Tulio lograron parar todo esto y darles seguridad a todos ellos, tanto que terminaban compartiendo con ellos, hablando, riendo y disfrutando.
Por eso también Miguel se enamoró de ese pueblo, tenía muy lindos paisajes y la gente era muy amable, pero yo creo que si se hubiera quedado ahí se hubiera aburrido tiempo después. Porque ambos siempre han vivido varias aventuras y sin su mejor amigo creo que hubiera sido difícil continuar.
Por otro lado, creo que estuvo mal que Tulio no haya tomado en cuenta a su amigo en sus planes, estaba tan enamorado que se olvidó de todo jeje.
Y si hablamos de Chel, podemos ver por qué congenió bien con ambos, ella también quería salir a conocer otros lugares, se sentía aburrida y atrapada. Es por eso que la primera vez que aparece la joven es porque quería escaparse de ahí, pero para tener con qué sobrevivir había robado un tesoro y por eso la estaban persiguiendo.
Al final logró su cometido y gracias a Miguel y Tulio también se salvó de ser castigada o peor asesinada por lo que cometió.
Si lo piensan bien, todo se dio por una casualidad, lo que luego terminó salvando y mejorando la vida de los demás. Por un lado, Miguel y Tulio disfrutaron de un gran viaje. Chel logró salir de la ciudad. El pueblo se deshizo del sacerdote quien era muy duro con ellos.

SYNOPSIS
It all begins back in 1519 in Spain, when Hernán Cortés set out on his expeditions to Mexico in search of treasure.
Enter our two main characters, Miguel and Tulio, two young gamblers who spent their lives going from one adventure to the next and swindling people through games of chance.
But one day, people catch on and try to imprison them. However, being very cunning, they stage a whole scene to make it look like Miguel had swindled Tulio—and vice versa—so they manage to escape.
Unfortunately for them (or perhaps not), they end up on one of Cortez’s ships, and when they’re discovered, they’re treated as traitors to the crown, so the crew decides to punish them by sending them to work in the fields.
Since the voyage had already begun, they were taken to a dungeon inside the ship. Desperate to get out, they try to come up with a plan, and the only thing they can think of is to get a horse outside to bring them some kind of metal object to pry open the bars.
They didn’t count on the horse being incredibly smart—it brings them the key, and they manage to escape by jumping into the sea, but the animal follows them, so they set off on the journey back to Spain.
They were stranded at sea for a long time without finding land until one day they reached an island and decided to go explore it. It turned out that during one of their scams, they had obtained a map of a new world where they’d been told there was plenty of gold—and that turned out to be the place.
Somewhat reluctant, they decided to search for El Dorado, the city that appeared on the map, and if not, at least they’d figure out how to get back to their country.
Every part of their journey was marked on the map, so they grew more and more excited about reaching and finding this city, but at the final point, they realized there was no path left to follow. Just then, a young woman appeared who was being chased by some guards; they caught her and also took Miguel and Tulio away.
It turned out that this place was like the entrance to the entire city, so they crossed a river to finally reach it. Upon entering, they saw that everything glowed with a golden hue and that the inhabitants were amazed to see them.
The village chief and priest welcomed them as gods, since it had been prophesied long ago that fair-skinned men would arrive there to purify the place.
Miguel and Tulio, confused but shrewd, decided to play along so they wouldn’t be killed. Then a grand celebration began in honor of the deities present—with food, drink, and treasures.
Once again, they devised a new plan: to pose as these gods, obtain their riches, and return to Spain as wealthy men. But they didn’t count on the fact that the young woman who had been pursued at the beginning (Chel) was overhearing everything, and in exchange for her silence, they agreed to let her be part of the plan as well.
Chief Tanabok welcomed the gods warmly because he believed they were enlightened beings who would purify the people—but in a positive, spiritual way. Meanwhile, the priest Tzekel-Kan believed that the gods would punish anyone who had committed sins and thus purify their souls.
Each had different thoughts, but they tried to get along with Miguel and Tulio so that their will would be done.
Meanwhile, Miguel, Tulio, and Chel enjoyed all the gifts and offerings the people gave them. Until they decided it was time to leave for their homeland, at which point they asked for a large ship to be built so they could carry all their treasure.
But something happens: on the one hand, Miguel has fallen completely in love with this town and begins to wonder whether he should stay or not. Meanwhile, Tulio falls in love with Chel and tries to speed up the preparations for their departure.
Uncertain about what the two friends wanted, they both get angry at each other for not considering the other’s feelings, so they decide to go their separate ways and do whatever they want.
Meanwhile, the priest Tzekel-Kan discovers that these two were not who they claimed to be, so he decides to take revenge on his own, but they manage to defeat him and throw him off a cliff.
The day of the return journey arrives, but one of the city guards comes to the chief and announces that Tzekel-Kan is alive and is leading many men toward the village.
Miguel and Tulio know that it’s Cortez and that he’ll want to seize all the town’s wealth, so they decide to help block his path. They manage to seal off the entrance as best they can and eventually leave the place themselves.
Thanks to them, the town is saved, and they decide to set out on their return journey to Spain.

PERSONAL OPINION
It’s a movie full of adventure and very funny; I really enjoy watching these friends travel the roads until they reach this great city.
The movie doesn’t say so, but I imagine they’ve known each other for a long time, and since they had no family, they became more than friends—they were like brothers.
Plus, they survived on the streets with just a pair of loaded dice—they used them for gambling, and since they always won, it was easy for them to steal money from other people.
And, as you might expect, that man who had run out of money decided to offer up his map of this city, which ended up being their new destination. I wonder how he got his hands on that map—and apparently he was a gambling addict, haha, because I would’ve stopped there.
These two friends narrowly escaped a lot of trouble—they were going to be sent to another country to do hard labor, but thanks to this horse, named Altivo, they managed to escape. And all because of a simple apple they offered him in exchange—you can tell he didn’t eat much, haha.
Something that bothered me at first was that they pretended to be gods, but at least they tried to be fair. Because in that village, anyone who committed a wrongdoing was severely punished.
This was overseen by the priest, who apparently had the ultimate authority to decide all these matters since he claimed the gods wanted a certain punishment or offering, so he could act as he pleased. On the other hand, the village chief was more laid-back and just wanted his people to be well.
What I find really interesting is that he also realized Miguel and Tulio weren’t gods, but what I don’t quite understand is why he didn’t say anything and why he kept treating them as such.
Perhaps because he was more peaceful, he preferred to handle things calmly; he even advised Miguel about his friendship with Tulio. I find this man’s way of acting very interesting, and I think he was a great leader for his people.
But his people were afraid of the priest, especially after the gods arrived, because he had increased the punishments and imposed other harsh rules on anyone who ignored his demands. He wanted to instill fear through the deaths of people.
In that sense, Miguel and Tulio managed to put a stop to all of this and make everyone feel safe—so much so that they ended up spending time with them, talking, laughing, and having fun.
That’s also why Miguel fell in love with that town—it had beautiful scenery and the people were very friendly—but I think that if he had stayed there, he would have gotten bored after a while. Because both of them have always been on all kinds of adventures, and without his best friend, I think it would have been hard to keep going.
On the other hand, I think it was wrong of Tulio not to include his friend in his plans—he was so head over heels that he forgot everything, haha.
And if we talk about Chel, we can see why she got along so well with both of them: she also wanted to get out and see other places; she felt bored and trapped. That’s why the first time the young woman appears, it’s because she wanted to escape from there, but to have enough to survive, she’d stolen a treasure—and that’s why she was being chased.
In the end, she achieved her goal, and thanks to Miguel and Tulio, she was also spared from being punished—or worse, killed—for what she’d done.
If you think about it, it all happened by chance—which ultimately ended up saving and improving the lives of others. On the one hand, Miguel and Tulio enjoyed a great trip. Chel managed to leave the city. The town got rid of the priest, who had been very harsh on them.
