The crime, psychological stress and true crime genre is my favorite genre in cinema. I love movies that have to do with this genre and when it comes to TV shows, Investigation Discovery is the best. I discovered this TV show a few years ago, when we didn't subscribe to a cable TV service. Since I was a child I was attracted to this kind of information and always watched shows like Dr. G, but once I discovered this TV channel, it became my favorite. They broadcast programs related to real crimes, homicide investigations and documentaries of old or recent crimes.

Sometimes I would do a marathon of all the programs they broadcast for Latin America and I would watch: Killer Love, Insane, In Cold Blood, Killer Neighbor, Criminal Minds and others that I don't remember well, as some were similar to others, all of them based on real events, which makes it more amazing.

El género de crimen, estrés psicológico y de hechos reales son mis favoritos en el cine. Me encantan las películas que tienen que ver con este género y si de programas de televisión se trata, Investigation Discovery es la mejor. Descubrí este programa de televisión hace pocos años, cuando no suscribimos a un servicio de televisión por cable. Desde pequeña me atraía este tipo información y siempre veía programas como el de la doctora G, pero una vez que descubrí este canal de televisión pasó a ser mi favorito, En él transmiten programas relacionados con crímenes reales, investigaciones de homicidios y documentales de delitos antiguos o recientes. 

A veces hacia un maratón de todos los programas que transmitían para Latinoamérica y veía: amor asesino, dementes, a sangre fría, vecino asesino, mentes criminales y otros que no recuerdo bien, ya que algunos eran parecidos a otros, todos ellos basados en hechos reales, lo que lo hace más asombroso.

Watching this kind of programs filled me with adrenaline more than any horror movie, I always say that reality beats fiction. I never felt disturbed by watching these programs, but sometimes I wondered if watching such programming every day would not affect me in the future and I would set limits for myself to prevent it from harming me.

Besides worrying about my own mental health I had a problem at home, watching these programs was affecting the harmony of my home, generating fights and disagreements because one of my brothers is bipolar, and he does not like this kind of things, they made him nervous, and he told me that I would end up doing those terrible things that I saw with my family, obviously it was not going to happen, but for my brother who sees the world differently from me, it did, and for this reason I stopped watching this channel, although every now, and then I watch my films.

In my life, the closest crime I have experienced was about 7 years ago, when 3 criminals broke into the house through the upper floor while 2 were waiting in the street, which we later found out, and they broke into my father's room, who was sleeping alone. These individuals grabbed my father face down and held him by the arms while the third one stole his wallet. My father, as best he could, got up and one of them started throwing stabs at him, which he dodged by counting his arms and especially his fingers.

Nunca me sentí perturbada por mirar estos programas, pero a veces me preguntaba si ver todos los días esta programación no me afectaría en el futuro y yo misma me ponía límites para evitar que esto me perjudicara. > > Además de preocuparme por mi propia salud mental tenía un inconveniente en casa, mirar estos programas estaban afectando la armonía de mi hogar, generando peleas y desacuerdos porque uno de mis hermanos es bipolar y él no le gustan este tipo de cosas, lo ponían nervioso y me decía que yo terminaría haciendo esas cosas terribles que veía con mi familia, obviamente no iba a pasar, pero para mi hermano que mira el mundo de forma distinta a mi sí, y por esta razón dejé de ver este canal, aunque cada cierto tiempo veo mis películas. > > En mi vida, el hecho delictivo más cercano que he vivido fue hace como 7 años, cuando se metieron a la casa por el piso superior 3 delincuentes mientras 2 esperaban en la calle, cosa que después nos enteramos, y se metieron a la habitación de mi padre que dormía solo. Estos individuos agarraron a mi papá boca abajo y lo sujetaron por los brazos mientras el tercero robaba su cartera. Mi padre, como pudo, se levantó y uno de ellos empezó a lanzarle puñaladas que él esquivó contándole los brazos y sobre todo los dedos.

Horror movie experience

It was 3 a.m., days before I had a feeling that something bad was going to happen, days before I had the feeling that something bad would happen, that didn't let me sleep deeply, that night I thought I heard a struggle, and immediately I stood up running from the bed and shouted loudly to the other relatives while I opened the doors downstairs and hit the bars hard, At that moment I thought about going back to the kitchen to get a knife, but I didn't want to waste a second and ran upstairs, when I arrived my dad was covered in blood almost unable to speak, and he pointed me in a direction that I followed like a lioness defending her cubs, but I had nothing to defend myself with but my own anger.

The criminals heard the noise I made and ran away. The next day, my dad confessed to my mum that he had given me a wrong signal in another direction so that I wouldn't meet the criminals on their escape. If I hadn't woken up, we would have found my dad dead in his bed bleeding to death the next day for sure, or if those guys had come down and attacked us all, my mum wouldn't have stood for it. Thank God, it didn't happen that way. Anyway, this memory was worthy of being on one of the Investigation Discovery programs.

Distorting the theory of the “superman” (developed by the philosopher Nietzsche), two college students (Brandon and Phillip, respectively played by John Dall and Farley Granger) strangle a former college classmate just to “self-proclaimed” themselves as superior human beings. In an attempt to commit the perfect crime, they have a morbid dinner (with the presence of the body hidden on the living room table), but gradually (and unexpectedly), things begin to get out of control with the arrival of Professor Rupert, who ends up unearthing some of the mysteries.

Hey, What Are You Watching?

When we talk about suspense movies, anyone who disagrees (even for a brief moment) about the fact that Alfred Hitchcock is a master within the cinematographic genre, urgently needs to review their concepts. This movie is a classic work of cinematography from the 40s, and in particular, one of the best works he did. Executed completely within a single sequence shot (almost as if it were a recorded “theater play”), the project brings different types of subjects to the table for debate, all of them involving the nature of human beings.

Letterboxd

Written by the trio Hume Cronyn, Patrick Hamilton and Arthur Laurents (who delivers an excellent quality script), the movie is directed by Hitchcock with enviable perfection. The level of suspense is extremely high, and the performances of the trio of protagonists (or antagonists) are stupidly enigmatic and mesmerizing. In addition to Dall and Granger, James Stewart arrives bringing strongly philosophical (but also psychological) weights to the narrative, which ends up delving into the human mind to try to “analyze” the actions that can justify certain types of actions that are so brutal.

The movie was based on a true crime story. In 1924, Bobby Franks, a 14-year-old boy, was kidnapped and killed Nathan Leopold and Richard Loeb. The two students from the University of Chicago were rich, and wanted to prove their superiority by trying to commit a murder without being discovered, and obviously, without being tried or punished. The episode was magnificently adapted into an immersive script, which despite being short, is very shocking due to the vile way it demonstrates the distortion of concepts promoted by an oppressive mind without any limits.

The script in turn, before being turned into a movie, was written based on a play of the same name written by Patrick Hamilton, in 1929 (and perhaps for this reason, the idea of recording the entire movie in a single shot arose at the time... which brought an aspect of originality due to the daring to think outside the box, and deliver a project outside common sense). Even so many years after its release (which was in 1948), Rope remains one of my favorite thriller movie based on true crimes, because absolutely everything works magically well.

Distorsionando la teoría del “superhombre” (desarrollada por el filósofo Nietzsche), dos estudiantes universitarios (Brandon y Phillip, interpretados respectivamente por John Dall y Farley Granger) estrangulan a un antiguo compañero de la universidad sólo para “autoproclamarse” seres humanos superiores a los demás. En un intento de cometer el crimen perfecto, organizan una cena morbosa (con la presencia del cuerpo escondido en la mesa del salón), pero poco a poco (e inesperadamente), las cosas empiezan a descontrolarse con la llegada del profesor Rupert, quien termina desenterrando algunos de los misterios.

Cuando hablamos de películas de suspense, cualquiera que no esté de acuerdo (aunque sea por un breve momento) con el hecho de que Alfred Hitchcock es un maestro dentro del género cinematográfico, necesita urgentemente revisar sus conceptos. Esta película es una obra clásica de la cinematografía de los años 40 y, en particular, uno de los mejores trabajos que realizó. Ejecutado íntegramente en un solo plano secuencia (casi como si se tratara de una “obra de teatro” grabada), el proyecto pone sobre la mesa diferentes tipos de temas de debate, todos ellos relacionados con la naturaleza del ser humano.

Escrita por el trío Hume Cronyn, Patrick Hamilton y Arthur Laurents (que entrega un guión de excelente calidad), la película está dirigida por Hitchcock con una perfección envidiable. El nivel de suspense es altísimo y las actuaciones del trío de protagonistas (o antagonistas) son estúpidamente enigmáticas y fascinantes. Además de Dall y Granger, llega James Stewart aportando pesos fuertemente filosóficos (pero también psicológicos) a la narrativa, que acaba ahondando en la mente humana para intentar “analizar” las acciones que pueden justificar cierto tipo de acciones tan brutales.

La película se basó en una historia de crimen real. En 1924, Bobby Franks, un chico de 14 años, fue secuestrado y asesinado por Nathan Leopold y Richard Loeb. Los dos estudiantes de la Universidad de Chicago eran ricos y querían demostrar su superioridad intentando cometer un asesinato sin ser descubiertos y, evidentemente, sin ser juzgados ni castigados. El episodio fue magníficamente adaptado a un guión inmersivo, que a pesar de ser breve, resulta muy impactante por la forma vil en que demuestra la distorsión de conceptos promovida por una mente opresora sin límites.

El guión a su vez, antes de convertirse en película, fue escrito basándose en una obra de teatro homónima escrita por Patrick Hamilton, en 1929 (y quizás por eso surgió la idea de grabar toda la película en un solo plano... lo que aportó un aspecto de originalidad por la osadía de pensar fuera de lo común, y entregar un proyecto fuera del sentido común). Incluso después de tantos años de su estreno (que fue en 1948), La soga sigue siendo una de mis películas de suspenso basadas en crímenes reales favoritas, porque absolutamente todo funciona mágicamente bien.

Este filme é uma obra clássica da cinematografia dos anos 40, e em especial, um dos melhores trabalhos feitos por ele. Executado completamente dentro de um único plano-sequência (quase como se fosse uma “peça de teatro” gravada), o projeto traz para mesa de debates diferentes tipos de assuntos, todos eles envolvendo à natureza dos seres humanos.

O roteiro por sua vez, antes de ser transformado em filme, foi escrito com base em uma peça teatral homônima escrita por Patrick Hamilton, no ano de 1929 (e talvez por isso, a ideia de gravar todo o filme em um único plano tenha surgido na época... o que trazendo um aspecto de ineditismo pela ousadia de pensar fora da caixa, e entregar um projeto fora do senso comum). Mesmo tantos anos após o seu lançamento (que foi em 1948), Festim Diabólico continua sendo dos meus filmes favoritos de suspense baseados em crimes reais, porque absolutamente tudo funciona magicamente bem.

A few days ago the second film of the huge success that was El Hoyo was released on Netflix. A Spanish film that was widely seen and which at the time I duly reviewed, where I praised its visuals and was entertaining, but negatively criticised its leftist message. This second film also suffers from that detail, but visually it is still entertaining and now has a bigger budget.

The film is set before the events of the first film, so it is really a prequel. That's why we'll see some familiar faces from the first film. Something I sensed when I saw the trailer a couple of months ago.

Back in the director's chair is Galder Gaztelu-Urrutia, who is also involved in the script along with the screenwriters of the first part. The lead pair this time is played by actor Hovik Keuchkerian and Milena Smit. The promotion has put a lot of emphasis on Keuchkerian, but the real protagonist is Milena. Maybe because he is a better known actor than she is. I like them both and I've seen them in other work they've done.

Hace unos días se estrenó en Netflix la segunda película del gran éxito que fue El Hoyo. Película española que fue muy vista y que en su momento hice mi debida crítica, donde alabé su apartado visual y era entretenida, pero critiqué negativamente su mensaje izquierdista. Esta segunda película también adolece de ese detalle, pero visualmente sigue siendo entretenida y ahora cuenta con un mayor presupuesto.

La película está ambientada antes de los acontecimientos de la primera película, por lo que realmente se trata de una precuela. Por eso veremos algunas caras conocidas de la primera película. Algo que intuí cuando vi el tráiler hace un par de meses.

Vuelve a la silla de director Galder Gaztelu-Urrutia, que también participa en el guión junto a los guionistas de la primera parte. La pareja de protagonistas esta vez está interpretada por el actor Hovik Keuchkerian y Milena Smit. La promoción ha hecho mucho hincapié en Keuchkerian, pero la verdadera protagonista es Milena. Quizá porque él es un actor más conocido que ella. Me gustan los dos y los he visto en otros trabajos que han hecho.

The art design of the platform that seems to have no end, that metallic fortress with a hole in the centre where a platform descends with food for each floor, is fascinating. This time the bigger budget is noticeable, managing to expand this sci-fi micro-universe a little more. There are no concise answers as to what the hell it is or why people voluntarily go there. Everything is subject to interpretation and creative minds will come up with their own theories. I still think it's a kind of purgatory.

There are more gore scenes, more brutality, more savagery. There comes a point when it leaves all that ideologically tinged paraphernalia behind, to exhaust itself in a maelstrom of violence and death. I found all this part very funny. I love gore and violence in films. It's a feast of savages. People pushed to the limit, with voracious hunger, with rancour, with thirst for justice, so the most natural thing of the human being is to act with force, it is part of our nature, we are like that, that we have it suppressed by the amount of norms imposed by our societies, does not make us forget our primitive insitnot.

The negative part of the film is still that the message is clearly leftist. They are products to act subliminally on people's minds. I started to check opinions on twitter and many people are saying that it is a reflection of reality, that the rich have us like this, like in the film, etc. Always putting the blame on the rich and making the revolutionaries out to be heroes. Then, the leftist message kicks in.

El diseño artístico de la plataforma que parece no tener fin, esa fortaleza metálica con un agujero en el centro por el que desciende una plataforma con comida por cada planta, es fascinante. Esta vez se nota el mayor presupuesto, consiguiendo expandir un poco más este microuniverso de ciencia ficción. No hay respuestas concisas sobre qué demonios es o por qué la gente va voluntariamente allí. Todo está sujeto a interpretación y a las mentes creativas se les ocurrirán sus propias teorías. Sigo pensando que es una especie de purgatorio.

Hay más escenas gore, más brutalidad, más salvajismo. Llega un momento en que deja atrás toda esa parafernalia de tintes ideológicos, para agotarse en una vorágine de violencia y muerte. Toda esta parte me pareció muy divertida. Me encanta el gore y la violencia en el cine. Es una fiesta de salvajes. Gente llevada al límite, con hambre voraz, con rencor, con sed de justicia, así que lo más natural del ser humano es actuar con la fuerza, forma parte de nuestra naturaleza, somos así, que la tengamos reprimida por la cantidad de normas impuestas por nuestras sociedades, no nos hace olvidar nuestro insitnot primitivo.

La parte negativa de la película sigue siendo que el mensaje es claramente izquierdista. Son productos para actuar subliminalmente en la mente de las personas. Me he puesto a mirar opiniones en twitter y mucha gente dice que es un reflejo de la realidad, que los ricos nos tienen así, como en la película, etc. Siempre echando la culpa a los ricos y poniendo a los revolucionarios como héroes. Entonces, el mensaje izquierdista entra en acción.

Hola a todos los integrantes de la comunidad de Movies and TV Shows, a petición de mi hija hoy les vengo a hablar de una serie de películas mexicanas que han estado muy de moda, hace poco se estreno la ultima película.

Se trata de una saga de películas animadas mexicanas que inició en el 2006 escritas y dirigidas por los hermanos Gabriel y Rodolfo Riva-Palacio Alatriste, realizadas por Huevocartoon Producciones con colaboración de Fidecine.

En cada una de las películas los protagonistas son los mismos huevos pero en diferentes circunstancias.

La saga de películas comienza con Una Película de Huevos en el 2006, en su momento fue novedad por ser una película diferente, animación con la típica picardía mexicana, es bastante entretenida la historia, trata de un huevo (Toto) que no quiere ser cocinado, este huye de la cocina en la que lo tenían y se embarca en una aventura para encontrar a su madre.

La tercera película, Un Gallo con muchos Huevos del 2015, es una sátira a Rocky, teniendo varias escenas en las que imita el entrenamiento acelerado, los montajes de dicha película, se hace presente el humor mexicano con varios chistes en doble sentido además del tema principal: la posible pérdida de Granjas: El Pollón y para evitar esto, Toto, necesitará hacerse de habilidades en las peleas para salvar la granja.

La cuarta película, Un rescate de Huevitos del 2021, nos transporta 1 o 2 años después de los sucesos de la anterior película, nos sitúa justo al momento del nacimiento de los huevos de Toto junto a su novia de la anterior película: si, justo después de su nacimiento. La dueña de Granjas El Pollón, se percata que los huevos son hermosos y son amarillitos por lo que los lleva al concurso de huevos, ganando un primer lugar, esto causa que una cazadora de huevos trate de robarlos por lo que toto y sus amigos tendrán que rescatarlos.

La última y mas reciente película, Huevitos Congelados del 2022, nos trae de regreso a Granjas El Pollón, en donde llega una feria con animales exóticos, entre ellos un pequeño Oso polar, el cual se enferma y logra huir, llegando sorpresivamente a la Granja, aquí él se mete al refrigerador junto a unos pingüinos, alertando a los pollos, que en ese momento estaban cuidando a la mamá de Toto, la cual, no estaba muy bien de salud, y en sus últimos momentos desea poder haber visto un animal exótico, al cual logra ver. Para esto mismo se encuentran al Oso polar, justo después, este cuenta que se lo llevaron de su hábitat y necesita regresar al polo norte, entonces Toto y sus amigos, vuelven a salir para ir a la Antártida y así devolver al Oso y a los pingüinos a su hábitat, mientras son perseguidos por sus captores.

A decir verdad, esperaba ansiosa esta temporada porque la primera me había gustado bastante pese a todo. Esto de tener que esperar dos años es agotador, pero bueno, es lo que hay. Ahora bien, siento que sí fue una temporada algo floja en comparación, pero al mismo tiempo fue creciendo con cada capítulo, los últimos me gustaron bastante.

To tell the truth, I was looking forward to this season because I liked the first one quite a lot despite everything. Having to wait two years is exhausting, but well, it is what it is. Now, I feel that it was a somewhat weak season in comparison, but at the same time it was growing with each chapter, the last ones I liked quite a lot.

Aunque es cierto que algunas tramas o giros se me hacían innecesarios o aburridos, creo que logró un buen cierre al final con la batalla entre los orcos y los elfos, y la vuelta de Sauron a tomar el control de sus bestias, por decirlo de alguna manera. Pero hay otras cosas que no terminaron de cerrarme, como el final tan patético que le dieron a Adar, encima nunca se entendió lo que pretendía, ¿era malo o bueno? No sé llegó a comprender en su totalidad. Los orcos me daban risa en las decisiones que tomaron, primero llorando con que no querían volver al mando de Sauron y luego haciendo todo lo contrario.

Leí que muchos se quejaron de que el Istar estuvo toda la temporada dando vuelta a algo que es de público conocimiento, conocer su identidad. Pero se olvidan que si alguien no vio las películas, ni leyó los libros es algo de lo que no está al tanto así que me parece bien que lo desarrollarán así. Aparte me gusta su trama y amo a las pelosas, para mí no aparecieron lo suficiente en esta temporada, pero gustos son gustos.

I read that many complained that the Istar was the whole season spinning something that is common knowledge, knowing his identity. But they forget that if someone didn't see the movies, nor read the books it's something they are not aware of so I'm fine with them developing it that way. Besides I like their plot and I love the hairy ones, for me they didn't appear enough in this season, but tastes are tastes.

Algo que me agrado que aparecieran fueron los Ents, se vieron muy geniales, me gustó su caracterización. También estuvo muy buena la escena con el rey de los enanos combatiendo con ese monstruo que se encontraba abajo en la montaña, muy buen trabajo de producción en general.

Something that I liked that they appeared were the Ents, they looked very cool, I liked their characterization. The scene with the king of the dwarves fighting with that monster that was down in the mountain was also very good, very good production work in general.

Otra cosa que me gustó y quiero destacar es el crecimiento de Elrond, no sé que le dieron en esta temporada, pero es un sí a todo. Fue mi personaje favorito en esta segunda temporada, supo ser fiel a sus convicciones y nunca se dejó manipular ni actuar en algo que no creyera. Un gran personaje. 

Another thing I liked and want to highlight is Elrond's growth, I don't know what they gave him in this season, but he is a yes to everything. He was my favorite character in this second season, he knew how to be true to his convictions and never let himself be manipulated or act in something he didn't believe in. A great character.

Synopsis: Georgia and David are a divorced couple. They apparently hate each other, but they need to come together to travel to Bali and overcome their differences in hopes of stopping their daughter Lily from making the same mistake they think they made in the past.

One of the main characteristics of romantic comedies is having charismatic characters, who are capable of making the audience laugh easily and thus help with the fluidity of the plot (which is generally nothing complex). In this movie, although this is not seen in the main couple of the plot (which, by the way, is quite forgettable), it is something that is notably seen in the protagonist couple (the bride's parents) and this ends up “subverting” the narrative of this movie. comedy.

A simple plot, but it could have been better.

The Goods

Even though it's a very light script, it doesn't bring anything remarkable. In terms of narrative, everything is too forgettable and leaves a feeling of emptiness before the movie even ends. Lily and Gege are sidelined within their own plot so that Georgia and David can shine within their “childish naughty” as they try to destroy their marriage. This part of the script is something worthy of teenage romantic comedies, but which features an adult cast.

Ironically, Julia Roberts and George Clooney play roles that are too shallow in relation to their potential as actors (something that is already more balanced when we talk about Kaitlyn Dever and Maxime Bouttier, because they are in tune with the mediocrity of their respective characters), but Their performance is quite fun to watch. Roberts with her traditional (and very delicious) laugh and Clooney being cool in his middle age.

The supporting cast, despite existing, is almost invisible because they end up not having much relevance to the plot in a more considerable way. I definitely think Ol Parker could have directed this movie much better.

CRÍTICA DE PELÍCULA: “Viaje al paraíso” (2022)

Sinopsis: Georgia y David son una pareja divorciada. Aparentemente se odian, pero necesitan unirse para viajar a Bali y superar sus diferencias con la esperanza de evitar que su hija Lily cometa el mismo error que ellos creen que cometieron en el pasado.

Una de las principales características de las comedias románticas es contar con personajes carismáticos, que son capaces de hacer reír al público con facilidad y así ayudar con la fluidez de la trama (que generalmente no es nada compleja). En esta película, si bien esto no se ve en la pareja principal de la trama (que, por cierto, es bastante olvidable), es algo que se ve notablemente en la pareja protagonista (los padres de la novia) y esto termina “subvirtiendo” la narrativa de esta película.

No hay nada impresionante en la trama, que gira en torno a una joven recién licenciada en derecho que decide irse de viaje con su mejor amiga a Bali, con el objetivo de tomarse unas vacaciones antes de empezar a trabajar en un despacho de abogados muy importante. Sin embargo, al llegar a su destino, acaba enamorándose de Gede, un nativo de la isla. Rápidamente se involucran y deciden casarse, pero esto va en contra de lo que Georgia y David quieren para su hija.

Dentro de este escenario “caótico”, los padres de la novia deberán encontrar formas de superar sus diferencias (debido a la indiferencia que sienten el uno por el otro) y luego intentar evitar que su hija se case y viva en la isla. Deciden viajar a Bali, fingen aprobar la relación y una vez viviendo en el mismo lugar que los novios, deciden arruinar su relación con unos “planes” desastrosos. Una trama sencilla, pero podría haber sido mejor.

Aunque es un guión muy ligero, no aporta nada destacable. En términos narrativos, todo es demasiado olvidable y deja una sensación de vacío incluso antes de que termine la película. Lily y Gege quedan marginados de su propia trama para que Georgia y David puedan brillar dentro de su “infantil traviesa” mientras intentan destruir su matrimonio. Esta parte del guión es algo digno de comedias románticas adolescentes, pero que cuenta con un reparto adulto.

Irónicamente, Julia Roberts y George Clooney interpretan papeles demasiado superficiales en relación a su potencial como actores (algo que ya resulta más equilibrado cuando hablamos de Kaitlyn Dever y Maxime Bouttier, porque están en sintonía con la mediocridad de sus respectivos personajes), pero su actuación es bastante divertida de ver. Roberts con su risa tradicional (y deliciosa) y Clooney siendo good vibes en su mediana edad.

El reparto secundario, a pesar de existir, es casi invisible porque acaba no teniendo mucha relevancia en la trama de forma más considerable. Mezclar comedia con drama es común en este tipo de historias, pero aquí ninguno de los lados funciona como debería (en teoría, creo que la idea podría haber sido divertida en el papel, pero en la práctica, la ejecución fue un poco problemática), además de haber caminado muchas veces en círculos). Afortunadamente, el proyecto cuenta con un conjunto de escenarios lo suficientemente bellos como para provocar una fuerte distracción en el público, quien fácilmente perdonará estos errores.

Viaje al paraíso es ese tipo de película que a veces puede hacerte sonreír brevemente y hacerte cuestionar algunas cosas sobre el amor (ya sea un amor más joven o más maduro), pero la profundidad de las ideas es muy superficial y lo que podría ha sido mejor explorado, sólo le queda un ligero rasguño psicológico en el intento de crear algo “complejo”. Uma das principais características das comédias românticas é ter personagens carismáticos, que sejam capazes de provocar risos fáceis no público e assim, ajudem na fluidez da trama (que geralmente não costuma ser nada complexo). Neste filme, apesar disso não ser visto no casal principal da trama (que aliás, é bem esquecível), é algo que de maneira notável por ser visto no casal de protagonistas (os pais da noiva) e isso acaba “subvertendo” à narrativa dessa comédia.

Não há nada de impressionante na trama, que gira em torno de uma jovem recém-formada em direito que decidiu ir viajar com sua melhor amiga para Bali, com o objetivo de tirar férias antes de começar a trabalhar em um escritório de advocacia muito importante. No entanto, chegando ao seu destino, ela acaba se apaixonando por Gede, um nativo da ilha. Eles rapidamente se envolvem, decidem se casar, mas isso vai contra o que Georgia e David querem para sua filha.

Dentro desse cenário “caótico”, os pais da noiva precisam encontrar maneiras de superar às suas diferenças (em razão da indiferença que eles sentem um pelo outro) para então tentar impedir que a filha se case e viva na ilha. Eles decidem viajar até Bali, fingir que aprovam o relacionamento e uma vez vivendo no mesmo lugar que o casal de noivos, decidem estragar o relacionamento dele com alguns “planos” desastrosos. Uma trama simples, mas que poderia ter sido melhor.

Mesmo sendo um roteiro leve demais, ele não traz nada marcante. Em termos de narrativa, tudo é esquecível demais e entrega uma sensação de vazio antes mesmo do filme acabar. Lily e Gege são colocados de lado dentro de sua própria trama para que Georgia e David possam brilhar dentro de sua “canalhice infantil” ao tentar destruir o casamento deles. Essa parte do roteiro é algo digno de comédias românticas adolescentes, mas que é protagonizada pelo elenco adulto.

Ingresso para o Paraíso é aquele tipo de filme que pode arrancar um breve sorriso do seu rosto em alguns momentos e te fazer questionar algumas coisas sobre o amor (seja ele o amor mais jovial ou mais maduro), mas a aprofundamento das ideias é muito superficial e o que poderia ter sido melhor explorado, fica apenas com leve arranhão psicológico na tentativa de criar algo “complexo”. Definitivamente, eu penso que Ol Parker poderia ter dirigido esse filme bem melhor.
