Esta serie regresa con un cambio de protagonista, pero no cambiando el personaje como tal básicamente el actor fue reemplazado por otro y muchas personas estaban a la expectativa de Cómo iban a abordar esto en la serie o si de alguna manera lo iban a mencionar, pero no simplemente el traspaso del actor se hace de manera natural y la verdad lo consigue ser muy bien esta nueva cara sí es cierto que se extraña al anterior y por momentos especialmente en el primer episodio nos parece raro todo esto especialmente porque en los resúmenes de la anterior temporadas buscan de mostrar más momentos en la espalda de lado nunca han demostrar la cara del actor como para que vas a familiarizar mucho más rápido con este nuevo actor, Y la verdad es que la actuación sí la consigue hacer bastante bien yo también era una de esas personas que tengo una expectativa bastante baja esta temporada pero la verdad tuvo elementos con los cuales consiguió sorprenderme.

Voy a empezar por lo malo y todo el desarrollo que tiene la hija de Geralt en esta temporada el cual la verdad es bastante nulo y a la vez extraño ya que termina con un grupo de maleante justamente como vimos la temporada anterior incluso apenas habiendo pasado dos semanas terminé enamorándose de manera muy acelerada es como que se siente forzada la relación que tiene con estos personajes de manera tan íntima y fraternal, incluso haciendo cosas cuestionables cuando ni siquiera ha pasado tanto tiempo para acostumbrarse como al grupo, A lo mejor un pequeño salto de tiempo lo hubiera sentado bastante bien a esta trama pero la verdad al hacer algo tan apurado incluso pequeño spoiler este mismo grupo que se encargan de desarrollar entonces temporada termina muerto al final entonces no termina de tener sentido y más bien sientes que es como el pequeño relleno de la temporada, Pero por otro lado tengo que decir que lo que son las coreografías de acción los efectos especiales la actuación de todos los personajes y algunos nuevos personajes que están junto a Geralt que y algunos son completamente nuevos consiguen enamorar con su carisma y la dinámica del grupo de Geralt Es bastante palpable el desarrollo que consiguen con este grupo es magnífico.

Otro punto favor de esta temporada es Jennifer que si ve las entregas temporadas no terminamos de sentir que ella haga algo más allá de aprovecharse del protagonista, ahora sí tiene un peso bastante fuerte de la sentimos como una líder sentimos que tiene un desarrollo de personaje bastante adecuado y sentimos que tiene un cambio bastante positivo, creo que esta temporada si le dan una oportunidad a pesar del cambio de actor podrá enamorar a más de uno incluso podrá enganchar a muchas personas que terminaron dejando la serie tras su tercera temporada, y además debo decir que si bien el desarrollo de algunos elementos en la trama puede tornarse bastante lento o sin sentido porque no va a terminar aportando nada al final la verdad es que esta temporada si sigue siendo bastante buena no creo que esté la par de la primera temporada que A mi parecer fue la fue la mejor pero si puedo decir que consigue llegarle bastante bien al público.

Henry Cavill played Geralt of Rivia in the first three seasons and was replaced by Liam Hemsworth. This didn't bother me too much, as the two actors are almost identical in build.

This fourth season has been quite criticised, mainly because it no longer adheres to the strict criteria of the previous Geralt. The new Geralt is more ‘sentimental’ and smiles more. The writers have added a little humour and more violence to the fights. I think we should give this wave of small adaptations here and there a chance.

Henry Cavill était Geralt de Riv dans les 3 premières saisons et il a été remplacé par Liam Hemsworth. Cela ne m'a pas perturbée outre mesure, la morphologie des 2 acteurs étant quasiment identique.

Cette 4e saison a été assez critiquée, parce qu'elle ne collait plus aux critères stricts du précédent Geralt, notamment. Le nouveau Geralt est plus "sentimental" et plus souriant. Les scénaristes ajoutent un peu d'humour et davantage de violence dans les combats. Je pense qu'il faut laisser sa chance à cette vague de petites adaptations de ci de là.

As a fan of this genre, and without mincing words, I have to say I'm very surprised and impressed with the level of this production we're seeing in just two episodes. Yes, I've read a few people here saying the same thing, but it's necessary given the huge buzz surrounding this new side of the "It" story.

For those who don't know, "It" isn't a ghost or anything like that; it's a kind of cosmic entity that existed before the universe itself and is capable of taking any form that evokes fear in people. The connection with Derry is that this creature "landed" there thousands of years ago, which explains all the military activity in the series. Basically, the series revolves around the disappearance of some children in that town, coinciding with strange phenomena and events. With only two episodes aired, it's difficult to predict where the plot is headed, but we can discuss what they've shown so far.

And what have they shown us? - Well, some of the best horror scenes we've seen so far this year. The first episode gave us a sequence inside a movie theater that is pure art; it's the true meaning of what horror is supposed to be: macabre, grotesque, bloody, surprising, full of suspense, and with great acting. We should also mention what we saw at the beginning of the episode with the scene inside the car with the dysfunctional family. Few things in horror impress me, but that birth scene was absolutely insane. It seems there's an obsession with "giving birth" because in the second episode we see something even more powerful and terrifying.

The soundtrack, all the references to other films, the special effects and CGI—everything is meticulously crafted to create the marvel we're witnessing. Add to that the incredibly cool 1960s setting, and the experience becomes even more captivating. It's important to clarify that this has nothing to do with the film, at least not yet; there's no Pennywise or anything of the sort. Perhaps we'll see a reference later on. I believe that if this series continues on this path, we could be looking at one of the best horror series of recent years. (With all due respect to Mike Flanagan.)

To wrap things up, I'd say the dual plot is very interesting. Everything centers on the same issue, but it's handled from two perspectives. The children's perspective is filled with terror and traumatic experiences, almost supernatural; and the military's point of view is more about showing force, the intrigue surrounding what might be lurking in the town in order to protect the country, or to use whatever is there as a weapon in the future. We'll see how both perspectives on the same problem converge.

The acting from the kids is amazing; Clara Stack's portrayal of Lilly has been excellent. Taylour Paige is also giving a great performance; she looks like she'll be making waves in the future. If you haven't started watching this series yet, it's time to jump on the bandwagon because it's well worth it. The first two episodes have been far better than most horror movies this year.

Where the production undeniably succeeds is in its visual authenticity. The production design and costumes are, as noted, commendable. Theyl evoke the early 19th century with meticulous, almost fetishistic detail. This is the legendary high standards of British TV production in full effect. One feels the weight of the fabrics, the chill of the unheated mansions, the constrained elegance of the era. Yet, this very authenticity becomes ironic. The sumptuous visuals often serve merely as a gilded cage for the miniseries’ primary focus: sex and nudity. True to Byron’s scandalous ‘bad boy’ reputation, the screen is saturated with it. Scenes in Greece featuring young boys, explicit encounters with married aristocrats, Lady Caroline Lamb’s near-naked hysterics – the miniseries equates historical accuracy regarding Byron’s libertinism with graphic depiction. The problem isn’t the inclusion of his sexuality, but the framing. It rarely explores the power dynamics, the emotional devastation Byron wrought, or the societal constraints that made such behaviour simultaneously transgressive and, within certain circles, tolerated. Alas, Miller’s nuanced performance is undermined by Nick Dear’s script, which historians rightly lambasted for its reckless distortions. The miniseries shocks, it entertains with its glossy sheen, and Miller compels, but it leaves the viewer no closer to understanding the revolutionary spirit, the devastating self-awareness, or the genuine human wreckage that defined Lord Byron. It is a stylish, exploitative rehash of the very tabloid frenzy Byron both despised and perpetuated. It’s a miniseries that prioritises the myth over the man, and in doing so, does both a profound disservice.

I can honestly say I've never watched a movie that's combine MMA and exorcisms, but now I want to. But i was like Damn! Those sleepless demons 🤦🏼

It felt like a punch to the soul—equal parts faith, fury, and fear—and you can’t quite decide if it’s exorcising demons or dragging them out of you? That’s The Divine Fury. It’s the kind of film that grips you by the throat in the first ten minutes and doesn’t let go, not even after the credits roll. Because it’s not just about demons—it’s about the kind that live inside a man who’s lost faith, who’s angry at the world, at God, and at himself.

It starts with Yong-hoo, this fierce, emotionally burned MMA fighter whose life has been marked by loss. His father was a police officer, the kind of man who prayed before every meal, who wore faith like armor. But one night, that faith couldn’t save him. Yong-hoo watches his father die in front of him—bloody, helpless—and something inside him snaps. From that moment, he hates God. The prayers, the crosses, the idea of faith—it all becomes poison to him. He grows up hardened, built from muscle and rage, throwing punches not just at his opponents but at the heavens.

Then something strange--and frightening--occurs. His hands begin bleeding after one of his fights. Not as ordinary wounds, but like the stigmata, the wounds of Christ. It is a disturbing visual: this man who despises God now with His marks. I can tell, I shivered at that moment. He wants to deny it, to justify it, but it is not that which he can hide. That is when he sees Father Ahn, this old exorcist that is as composed as only people who have ever been in hell are.

Their encounter is one that is clumsy, strained as Yong-hoo does not believe in anything and Father Ahn does not believe in anything but faith. It is oil and sacred water fighting. However, when they go out to fight their first demon together, you get to see the fists of Yong-hoo, with which he was made to fight, literally glowing with godly power. He is beating the demons out of people, and his anger is sacrosanct. It’s wild. And poetic. Since the object that used to represent his hatred turns out to be his tool against evil.

The scene of exorcism in the dark alley was one of the scenes that never left me. The man they had, black-eyed, shaking body, curses of blasphemies--and Yong-hoo, trembling, furious, yet shaking to retreat. The demon makes fun of him by telling him that his father had died, and this was evidence that God had forsaken him. And you see it--all the pain that he is buried with, oozes up. It is not merely a fight scene when he delivers that last, radiant blow, but one in which he is smacking back at all the sorrow that has consumed him all these years.

However, the film does not remain in the realm of black and white good and evil. It has this simmer beneath it--the understanding that demons are not necessarily a monstrous thing beyond us. In some cases, they are a product of our anger, our conscience, our lack of faith. Yong-hoo does not fight Satan in the real sense, but it is a part of him that will not heal. And Father Ahn, that man, that man... He is a spiritual father figure to Yong-hoo who directs him back to the faith he has been struggling all his life.

Then the villain comes in- Ji-shin. Slick, charismatic, hollow eyed like the devil himself in designer clothes. He is a cult leader in the hood who lives on corruption and owning and survival on despair. Once Ji-shin and Yong-hoo finally get to meet, it is not power against power, but philosophy against rage, faith against nothingness. The last confrontation in that blood-red church? My God. Fire, crosses, holy water, flying in the air- it is all chaotic and heartbreakingly beautiful at the same time. Yong-hoo bled and trembled and screamed not with hate this time--but in submission.

That final fight has always been messing with me because of its symbolism. Since as Ji-shin collapses, you know that it is not winning, but getting free. Yong-hoo eventually ceases to be upset with God. It is not triumph, the tears, the weariness, the silent calm in his face. It’s redemption. The type which does not come easily, neatly, but with wounds which never heal quite.

My best part was that The Divine Fury did not preach. Neither did it attempt to convert you or preach to you about faith. It only demonstrated how faith can be horrifying and curative, how its loss may turn an individual upside down, and how his discovery may be like the fire which consumes him before it fades away and leaves him like the light.

When the movie ended, I sat in silence. Not the kind of silence where you scroll your phone after, but the kind that makes you question your own darkness. It made me think about how sometimes, the things that break us are the same things that can save us—if we stop fighting long enough to let them.

The Divine Fury isn’t just an action-horror flick—it’s an emotional exorcism. It’s fists and faith colliding, it’s pain transfigured into purpose. And it lingers. Because at the end of it all, it’s not really about God or demons—it’s about a man finally learning to forgive the only person he never could: himself.

Bubbles, tentatively rebuilding his life in recovery, wrestles with crushing guilt and reluctantly undergoes an HIV test—his negative result a fragile beacon of hope. Rottentomatoes Rating Source What really pisses me off about this movie is that they had all the pieces to actually make something good, the legend of La Llorona is genuinely creepy and has been scaring kids for generations in Mexican culture, its about this woman who drowns her own children in a river after she finds her husband cheating on her with someone younger and then she kills herself out of guilt, now she is cursed to wander around looking for kids to replace the ones she murdered. That is dark as hell and there is so much you could do with that story but instead they just made another generic jump scare movie where the ghost pops out from behind corners and screams really loud to make you jump, I am not saying jump scares are always bad but when that is literally all you got going for you then your movie sucks. The scares are so predictable that you see them coming from a mile away, its always the same setup where someone hears a noise and walks slowly towards it and then La Llorona jumps out and screams, they do this like twenty times throughout the entire movie and it gets old real fast after the third or fourth time.

Today I just rewatched a very well-known Disney movie. Beyond the entertainment, the action, and the colorful appearance... it's very special to me because of its emotional depth. Behind all of that, we can find a message about learning to move on when life takes something important away from us.

> BIG HERO 6 / GRANDES HÉROES

SYNOPSIS / SUMMARY:

When an unexpected turn of events plunges them into the middle of a dangerous plot, a child prodigy, his robot, and his friends become high-tech heroes on a mission to save their city.

LET'S MEET THE HAMADA BROTHERS:

Hiro (the younger brother) is a brilliant young man, a robotics genius, but he doesn't use his talent to its full potential, as he dedicates himself to "illegal" robot fights.

Tadashi (the older brother) is the complete opposite of Hiro; he is very responsible, mature, and has a clear purpose. He takes it upon himself to encourage and guide Hiro down the right path, because, like any older brother, he always wants the best for his younger siblings.

The two brothers share a very strong bond despite their differing opinions. Tadashi sees Hiro's potential and encourages him to stop using his "talent" for small, insignificant things and focus on something that will truly change the world...

However, after a presentation of work, an accident occurs (an explosion), where unfortunately Tadashi loses his life, leaving Hiro devastated and completely lost on an emotional level.

THE EMPTINESS AFTER A LOSS:

After the accident, we see Hiro withdraw into himself, lose interest in everything, and avoid talking about what happened. Something I appreciate is that this Disney film subtly shows us what it truly feels like to go through grief and how a loss can emotionally paralyze us, especially when it involves someone who was our greatest support.

We observe Hiro going through various stages, including denial, frustration, loneliness, and sadness... and we, as viewers, can feel the emotional weight of what Hiro is experiencing in each one. (However, his friends are always there for him... whenever he needs them.)

BAYMAX - MUCH MORE THAN JUST A ROBOT:

Hiro wasn't the only genius in the family; Tadashi was also a genius and was able to create a medical assistance robot. While Hiro is immersed in grief and sadness, he accidentally activates Baymax, who, while programmed to help and lift people's spirits, eventually becomes a reflection of the love and care Tadashi left behind.

Hiro, along with Baymax, slowly begins to emerge from his isolation and reconnect with the people around him. (And let me tell you, Baymax is incredibly endearing and charming, as he doesn't always define things as simply sarcasm or outright evil... and we'll also have some hilarious moments with him and his "Balalala").

SOONER OR LATER, ACCEPTANCE COMES:

As I mentioned before, Hiro goes through several stages of grief, which is normal during this transition... But he finally reaches a very important stage: acceptance, and he does so in a very human way.

When his brother dies, Hiro's anger and rage overwhelmed him, and all they did was make him obsessed with finding the supposed "villain." But thanks to the support of Baymax and his friends, Hiro comes to understand that revenge won't bring peace, and the best thing he can do for Tadashi is to honor his memory by helping others as he did in life... And this is where the new "Big Hero 6" team is born.

I believe this emotional evolution is the axis and heart of the story, how when we believe that all is lost... we find that true healing happens through love, friendship and empathy.

Finally, I highly recommend this film because it combines various elements—emotions, love, action, values, and feelings—in a very genuine and human way. Furthermore, the setting, the scenes, and everything visually are impeccable, maintaining vibrant colors, and the soundtrack perfectly conveys each emotion (and the songs in the film are a true gem! I love Fall Out Boy's "Immortals"). This film isn't just about technology, robots, or heroes, but about how the support of those around us can help us overcome even the most difficult losses.

SINOPSIS / RESUMEN:

Cuando un giro inesperado de eventos los sumerge en el medio de un peligroso plan, un niño prodigio, su robot y sus amigos se convierten en héroes de alta tecnología en una misión para salvar su ciudad.

CONOZCAMOS A LOS HERMANOS HAMADA:

Hiro (El hermano menor) es un joven con una mente brillante, se podría decir que es un genio de la robótica pero no le saca provecho a ese gran talento como debería ser, ya que se dedica a las luchas "ilegales" de robots.

Tadashi (El hermano mayor) es todo lo contrario a Hiro ya que es muy responsable, maduro y mantiene su propósito claro. Se encarga de impulsar y guiar a buen camino a Hiro, ya que como todo hermano mayor siempre deseamos lo mejor para los menores.

Ambos hermanos tienen un vínculo muy fuerte a pesar de pensar distinto. Tadashi ve el potencial en Hiro y lo motiva a dejar de usar su "talento" para cosas pequeñas e insignificantes y a enfocarse en algo que realmente cambie el mundo...

Sin embargo, tras una presentación de trabajos sucede un accidente (Una explosión), donde lamentablemente Tadashi pierde la vida, dejando a Hiro devastado y completamente perdido a nivel emocional.

EL VACÍO DESPUÉS DE UNA PÉRDIDA:

Luego del accidente, observamos como Hiro se encierra en si mismo, pierde el interés por todo y evita hablar de lo que pasó. Algo que me agrada es que en esta película Disney nos mostró de manera muy sutil como se siente realmente pasar por un duelo y como una pérdida nos puede paralizar emocionalmente, especialmente cuando se trata de alguien que fue tu apoyo más grande.

Observamos que Hiro pasa por diversas etapas, entre ellas la negación, frustración, soledad y tristeza... cada una de ellas, nosotros como espectadores podemos sentir el peso emocional de lo que Hiro está viviendo (Sin embargo, sus amigos siempre están cerca a él... para cuando los necesite).

BAYMAX - ALGO MUCHO MÁS QUE UN SIMPLE ROBOT:

Hiro no era el único genio en la familia, Tadashi también era un genio y fue capaz de crear un robot de asistencia médica. Mientras Hiro se encuentra sumergido en el duelo y tristeza, activa accidentalmente a Baymax, que si bien es cierto... es una máquina programada para ayudar y mejorar el ánimo de las personas, pero con el paso del tiempo este se convierte en un reflejo del amor y cuidado que Tadashi dejó atrás.

Hiro junto a Baymax empieza a salir poco a poco de su aislamiento y comienza a reconectar con las personas que lo rodean. (Y déjenme decirles que Baymax cae demasiado bien y es muy tierno ya que no define algunas cosas entre sarcasmos o la maldad en sí... y también pasaremos momentos divertidos con el y su "Balalala").

TARDE O TEMPRANO VIENE LA ACEPTACIÓN:

Como mencioné anteriormente, Hiro pasa por varias etapas del duelo que es normal pasar por esa transición... Pero finalmente llega a una etapa muy importante que es la aceptación, y lo hace de una manera muy humana.

Cuando fallece su hermano, la ira y rabia sobrepasaron los límites de Hiro y lo único que provocaron fue que se obsesione mucho en encontrar al supuesto "villano". Pero gracias al apoyo de Baymax y sus amigos, Hiro logra comprender que vengarse no traerá paz, y lo mejor que puede hacer por Tadashi es honrar su memoria ayudando a los otros como él lo hacía en vida... Y aquí es donde nace el nuevo equipo de "Grandes Héroes".

Esta evolución emocional creo que es el eje y el corazón de la historia, cómo cuando creemos que todo está perdido... encontramos que la verdadera sanación sucede a través del amor, amistad y empatía.

Finalmente, recomiendo mucho esta película por que combina diversos factores a nivel de emociones, amor, acción, valores y sentimientos de una manera muy genuina y humana. Además, la ambientación, las escenas y todo visualmente es impecable, mantiene unos colores súper vibrantes y junto a la banda sonora transmite cada emoción con precisión (Y las canciones que salen en la película son tremenda joya! Me encanta la canción Immortals de Fall Out Boy). Esta obra no habla solo de tecnología, robots o héroes, sino del apoyo de quienes nos rodean puede ayudarnos a superar incluso las pérdidas más duras.
